Abandoned White Moonlight Chapter 62

Suddenly, out of the darkness, a hand shot out, like a tree root creeping up from the ground. Before Christian could even comprehend what was happening, a fierce grip locked onto his shoulder — it didn’t feel human. The pain was so intense that Christian thought it must be a metal hand, or worse, the hand of a monster.

But the pain didn’t stop there. The next second, he was thrown violently to the ground, his head spinning. His pupils dilated to the limits of what was physically possible, overwhelmed by fear.

The once fragile and pitiable figure before him now revealed a terrifying true self, issuing a death threat. As Christian dimly realized that he might die here, he tried to scream. But before he could let out more than a short cry, he was yanked up by his collar.

Dai Yixin’s fists aimed straight for his mouth, and after two punches, all 28 of Christian’s teeth felt as though they were hanging by a thread. His lower face was a bloody mess, and at last, he started crying, mixing saliva and blood as he begged for mercy.

His glasses had been knocked off, so he couldn’t see Dai Yixin’s expression. Christian already had a mild case of night blindness, but perhaps not seeing was a blessing — this way, he wouldn’t be petrified by Dai Yixin’s gaze to the point of losing control of his bladder.

Things didn’t get much better, though. The hand gripping his collar loosened, only to clamp down on his throat. Christian flailed his legs helplessly, like prey sinking into quicksand. As oxygen slipped away, his chest felt like it was going to explode. Finally, light streamed in from the doorway.

The first person to rush in was Dai Yuan. Frowning at the scene, he thought to himself how troublesome this fool from the Brent family was—stupid and weak.

He strode forward, calling out to Dai Yixin while driving his elbow into the arm that was strangling Christian.

Dai Yuan used a lot of force, but Dai Yixin didn’t let go. His brows furrowed tighter, and he switched from elbow strikes to grappling. He gripped Dai Yixin’s arm tightly, bones and muscles straining. “Brother, let go! Are you trying to kill him?”

Dai Yixin’s face turned slightly, and a chilling look shot from beneath his high brows. With the light from the door, Dai Yuan finally saw Dai Yixin’s expression clearly. He opened his mouth to say something, but then Dai Yixin’s fist came down on him.

Though they had both trained in martial arts, Dai Yuan knew he wasn’t a match for Dai Yixin. Still, when he took that punch, the stubborn anger in his heart spread through his body. Throwing away his usual pretense, he fought back recklessly.

Meanwhile, Christian, pulled back from the brink of death, sluggishly realized what was happening. He scrambled up, limbs weak, and ran without daring to look back.

Dai Yuan, distracted by Christian’s escape, was kicked hard into the wall the next second. His chest and abdomen burned with pain, and he coughed up a mouthful of blood.

Realizing that Dai Yixin truly had the intent to kill, Dai Yuan gritted his teeth and ordered the guards, “Why are you just standing there like statues? Grab him!”

It took all the strength of the highly trained bodyguards to finally restrain Dai Yixin. He fought back fiercely, glaring at Dai Yuan with the eyes of a wild beast. Dai Yuan, still panting, coldly gave his order, “Dislocate both of his arms.”

The bodyguards hesitated for a moment. If Dai Yixin’s father had given the command, they would have obeyed without question, but this was coming from the younger Mr. Dai.

Seeing them hesitate, Dai Yuan kicked the closest bodyguard in frustration. “Do I not have the authority to give orders? Do it!”

As soon as he spoke, the sound of bones dislocating followed.

Dai Yuan stared unblinkingly at Dai Yixin, at the young man whose arms had just been dislocated and who was now being held down by multiple people pressing on his back and legs.

Dai Yixin was in a sorry state now. His pale face was spattered with Christian and Dai Yuan’s blood. The skin on his fingers had been peeled back, exposing raw flesh, but his eyes were still as fierce as a wolf’s or a snake’s, as if ready to tear apart everyone in front of him.

Dai Yuan’s face twitched uncontrollably, his skin reacting to the extreme anger brewing beneath.

He couldn’t understand how Dai Yixin still dared to look at him like that at this point.

A laugh slipped from Dai Yuan’s lips. “I came in here out of kindness to save someone, brother. Why are you looking at me like that? Ah, is it because of your classmate? Brother, I didn’t ask him to come. It was that person—you know who I mean. He told me how much he’s tired of you, but he also thought you were pitiful, so he asked your classmate to check on you.”

He squatted down, staring at him from above. “My poor brother, you’ve been abandoned by the one you love.” Dai Yuan practically recited the words like a dramatic stage actor, malice shining in his eyes. “I didn’t want to tell you at first, but I couldn’t bear to see you suffer so long. Brother, he’s been with me this whole time. We’ve been staying in the same room, lying in the same bed, and going wild…”

Before he could finish, Dai Yixin lunged at him, but the bodyguards reacted quickly, pinning him back down. There was even a cracking sound, as if something had broken again.

Dai Yuan didn’t care. He laughed with pleasure, brushing his hand over a small scar near his eye with satisfaction.

“Since we’re already here, might as well say a bit more,” Dai Yuan lowered his voice until it was almost too soft for the surveillance to pick up. “He’s watching right now, you know. He’s watching you get treated like this with his own eyes. I also told him what happened to you in this room, and he doesn’t care at all.”
