After asking, without waiting for Jiang Fuyue to answer, he began to laugh softly on his own.

With laughter, his chest shook, and his whole body trembled.
When he finished laughing and gradually calmed down, Jiang Fuyue spoke up—
“I’ve seen your answer sheets from the NOI summer camp back then. For all the questions, within the specified time, you used two different methods to complete them.”
“You’ve seen them?”

“The person you hired to take the exam for you was my dormmate.”
Upon hearing the words “dormmate,” Jiang Ke’s eyes flickered slightly. “So, you’ve gone to all this trouble to catch your dormmate cheating?”
Jiang Fuyue smirked. “You’re a pleasant surprise, more interesting than catching her cheating.”
“Pleasant surprise?” Hearing this, he laughed again.
He laughed until his whole body trembled, with a glint in the corner of his eyes.
“I’m a fugitive, do you think it’s a pleasant surprise?” He retorted, suddenly his tone turned cold and menacing, “A murderer like me is poisonous from head to toe! “
“Did you poison back then?” Jiang Fuyue asked with a smile, “I doubt it.”
Jiang Ke’s expression froze, as if after being a murderer for so many years, suddenly hearing someone say “you might not be” made him feel bewildered and helpless, flooding him with discomfort and… brutality.
“What do you know?!” he growled lowly, “I, Jiang Ke, am a murderer, a criminal! The police have already closed the case, why do you have the audacity to say ‘I doubt it’? What qualifications do you have to say that? What are you people?!”
Niu Rui’s expression darkened. He was about to step forward and give him a piece of his mind, this guy was too much!
Jiang Fuyue raised her hand to stop him. “So, after escaping for so many years, what you’ve learned is just how to deceive yourself?”
Jiang Ke sneered.
“The case file from back then clearly states that you have been denying the poisoning and the crime all along, only admitting guilt when the evidence was overwhelming. I thought these four years would make you even more stubborn than before, better able to withstand the blows. I didn’t expect you to have already accepted the charges pinned on you. So these four years of your escape have been in vain, and you’ve even ruined half of your face.”
“Heh, as you said, those are charges pinned on me. If I deny them, can I take them off?” If he could, he wouldn’t have fled in the first place.
Over the years, Jiang Ke himself couldn’t tell whether he was really innocent or not. Occasionally, he even dreamed of himself poisoning the water dispenser, but the ridiculous thing was, there was no water dispenser in their dormitory back then!
He had already begun to imagine himself as guilty.
Perhaps only in this way could he convince himself to accept the verdict willingly and give up his life.
The day he could do that would be the day he should turn himself in.
Occasionally, he thought that in this life, no matter how talented and outstanding one was, one could never escape the teasing of fate.
“What if I have evidence to clear your name?”
Jiang Ke scornfully curled his lips, but before he could even laugh, his expression froze harshly, “What did you say?!”
He suddenly sat up from the ground, forgetting to cover his ruined right face with his hair, his eyes fixed intensely on Jiang Fuyue.
“What did you say?! Say it clearly and carefully again to me!”
Jiang Fuyue: “I have evidence….”
She said the words he most wanted to hear directly.
Jiang Ke rushed at her like a madman, but Jiang Fuyue dodged ahead of time, moving gracefully.
He didn’t mind, just lying at Jiang Fuyue’s feet like a mangy dog, “What evidence?!”
Without further ado, Jiang Fuyue signaled to Niu Rui, who took out his phone and played a video clip for him—
The footage was from the interior of the four-person dormitory where Jiang Ke used to live.
They were all in class, so the dormitory was quiet.
But if you looked closely, you could see that the wind chimes hanging on the balcony door were gently swaying, indicating that this was not a still image.
About two minutes later, the dormitory door opened from outside.
A male student came in.
Jiang Ke’s breathing suddenly stopped.
This was the classmate who had been poisoned back then!
He walked to his own desk, took out a water cup from his bag, unscrewed the lid, as if he was going to drink water.
But he didn’t.
He just unscrewed the lid, left the mouth of the cup open, and placed it on the table.
Then he opened the drawer and took out a vial of liquid…
What happened next was like a fantasy story. Jiang Ke watched as he added something to his own cup, then drank it without changing his expression, and laid down on the bed.
About three minutes later, this unlucky guy came back.
Seeing his roommate sleeping but the water cup on the table uncovered, he walked over and gently covered it for him. This became the conclusive evidence of his crime!
Because his fingerprints were left on it.
“Hehe… Hehe… So that’s how it is! So it’s like this!”
“Tell me, how would you agree to give me this video?”
Jiang Fuyue smiled, communicating with intelligent people is indeed much easier. “After you clear your name, you’ll work for me.”
