Yufeng Kitchen, Second Floor.
Liu Jinzhong personally stood at the staircase entrance to welcome Jiang Fuyue.
“Miss.”
“Is everyone here?” she asked while walking inside.
“They’ve arrived.”
As she pushed the door open, the two people standing in the hall turned around simultaneously, meeting Jiang Fuyue’s gaze.
The girl appeared delicate and frail, with a soft, elegant face that exuded innocence. However, the fleeting cold glint in her eyes made it clear she was not to be underestimated.
The young man, tall and well-built with broad shoulders and long legs, wore only a sports tank top despite the late autumn weather, revealing the muscular contours of his back and chest.
Unfortunately, the right side of his face was completely destroyed, covered in horrifying scars. His eyebrow was gone, and even his eye was melted down to a narrow slit.
But the left side of his face was breathtakingly handsome—enough to rival any graceful young noble.
The girl was Liu Sisi.
The young man was Jiang Ke.
Today, both had officially graduated from Camp A, completing their training.
Jiang Fuyue took a seat at the desk, exuding an air of authority. Liu Jinzhong handed her a document.
“These are their assessment results.”
She opened it with one hand and scanned through it—
Liu Sisi: Demolition, firearm assembly, mine planting, mine detection, machinery, combat, boxing… all straight A’s.
Jiang Ke: Mathematics, astronomy, biochemistry, software engineering, mechanical engineering, cyber attack, hacking, identity theft, programming, AI… also all straight A’s.
Jiang Ke smirked arrogantly. “I told you when I left—I’d be back. And when I returned, all those so-called algorithm geniuses and imperial hackers? They’d better retire. Well? I didn’t break my word, did I?”
Jiang Fuyue closed the file and passed it back to Liu Jinzhong. Hearing this, she nodded. “Not bad. You did what you said you would.”
Jiang Ke leaned forward, lowering his voice. “So, when are you making them retire?”
She raised an eyebrow. “Oh? Didn’t expect you to hold grudges like this.”
Back in Camp A, Jiang Ke had been put through hell by a bunch of maniacs. Though he passed the assessments, the genius in him still harbored resentment.
“Of course I hold grudges!” he admitted outright.
“What, you want them to retire so you can take their place? Not impossible. But you’d have to be stationed in Camp A long-term. If you’re up for it, I have no objections. Uncle Liu, arrange—”
“Wait!” Jiang Ke interrupted instantly. “Uh… you know… that whole ‘retirement’ thing? Just joking! They were my instructors, after all. Who makes their teachers step down, right?”
Jiang Fuyue nodded in agreement, as if she found his logic very reasonable.
Jiang Ke: “…” First, he was tormented in camp, now he was getting played outside? D*mn it.
Liu Sisi, in contrast, remained quiet and composed.
Unlike Jiang Ke, her training at Camp A had been interspersed with school, as she continued attending No. 1 High School. Because of that, the camp’s hardships hadn’t hit her as intensely.
Now, she simply stood there calmly, not competing, not seeking attention—serene as a still lake.
But Jiang Fuyue hadn’t called them here just for a chat. They had assignments waiting.
“Jiang Ke.”
The young man immediately straightened up.
“Within the next two days, report to KT Corporation.”
Jiang Ke blinked in confusion. “KT? What’s that?”
Liu Jinzhong, on the side, was momentarily shocked. Miss is putting him in charge of KT?
Liu Sisi remained the most composed—because she didn’t understand, she wasn’t moved.
“KT? Which KT?” Jiang Ke asked.
Jiang Fuyue: “The one that produced the Black Gold drone.”
“You’re kidding, right?!” Jiang Ke’s eyes widened.
As a genius, he had dabbled in drone technology before and was well aware of the legendary status of KT Corporation’s Black Gold drone.
But…
“Didn’t that company shut down twenty years ago? Even its cutting-edge drone technology vanished. And now you’re telling me… to go to KT?” His tone was bizarre, his expression puzzled.
Jiang Fuyue raised a hand. “Uncle Liu.”
Liu Jinzhong understood immediately. He retrieved a document from the safe and handed it to Jiang Ke.
The young man flipped it open skeptically.
The more he read, the brighter his eyes became—until finally, he looked ecstatic.
Suddenly, he recalled what Jiang Fuyue had made him study—mechanics, AI, remote sensing…
It felt like everything was gradually becoming clear, like he was finally grasping the whole picture.
Liu Jinzhong wasn’t surprised by his reaction. Telling him to report to KT was really just handing KT over to him entirely—otherwise, those in Camp A wouldn’t have gone out of their way to treat him so well.
Jiang Fuyue gave him time to finish reading. Jiang Ke skimmed through at lightning speed, scanning line by line.
“So? Think you can handle it?” Her tone was casual, like she was asking if he liked a dish.
But Jiang Ke didn’t take it as a joke at all. That scarred face radiated confidence—not dimmed in the slightest by the presence of his scars—
“Of course. I can make your algorithm maniac and empire-level hacker retire, and bring Black Gold drones back to the top of the industry. Believe it or not?”
“Then let’s wait and see?”
Jiang Ke’s tone dropped, teeth clenched: “Please turn that question into a statement. Thanks.”
Jiang Fuyue curved her lips into a smile. “Then we’ll see if you really have what it takes.”
Eager to prove that he did have what it takes, Jiang Ke headed straight to the airport the moment he walked out the door. He thought: one day, I’ll make Jiang Fuyue personally acknowledge how capable I am!
KT had indeed gone bankrupt twenty years ago. But after Jiang Fuyue’s rebirth, she had a random idea—just for fun, she tried restoring the KT39 model… and to her surprise, it worked on the first try!
Then she upgraded the functions based on the original KT39 and created the KT42, which she ended up gifting to Yi Ci for his birthday.
Maybe it was the allure of the words “limited edition,” but Yici’s group of rich little brats were surprisingly interested. None of them lacked money, and they all pestered her to place orders by phone.
On a whim, Jiang Fuyue gave one of them Liu Jinzhong’s business card.
She thought the kid’s curiosity would pass quickly, but that very day, an order came in—with a 100,000 yuan deposit transferred right away, as if the buyer was afraid she might back out.
Jiang Fuyue didn’t even have time to explain the situation to Liu Jinzhong before the phone call came through.
So when Liu Jinzhong picked up, he was totally confused. Luckily, his experience allowed him to calmly fish for details in just a few sentences. Once the other side confirmed that they got the card from Jiang Fuyue and wanted to buy a Black Gold drone, he immediately agreed.
He only learned the whole story afterward from Jiang Fuyue.
At the time, she hadn’t even planned to restart KT. A project like this required focused research and adapting the tech to modern standards. Otherwise, it’d just become a low-quality “nostalgia product” that not only ruined its legendary reputation but lost money too.
In short, Jiang Fuyue wasn’t very willing.
She already had too much on her plate and no time to fully commit to core tech development. So she shelved it for the moment.
But someone had actually called, and paid a deposit—she couldn’t just ghost them, could she?
She’d also noticed at the party that the kid who took the card really wanted a Black Gold drone.
After weighing it, she decided to sell him the KT39 she had on hand.
When the buyer heard it could be delivered within two weeks, he screamed with joy over the phone.
A boy screaming. Can you imagine?
Just like a fangirl seeing her idol.
How much do you have to love something to react like that?
She thought that was the end of it—but two days later, another friend from Yici’s group called to place an order.
Their intent to purchase was strong: I love it. Money isn’t an issue.
And once you get one, two more follow. Suddenly, the ultra-expensive drones were selling like hotcakes.
So should they be thanking Yici’s birthday party?
Who would’ve thought it’d uncover a whole crowd of hidden potential customers?
Yici: My bad? 🤷
Regardless, business must be done with integrity. Since Jiang Fuyue had given out the card, she was determined to follow through.
Liu Jinzhong: “So, what’s your plan?”
Jiang Fuyue couldn’t replicate more drones herself—it wasn’t just time-consuming and labor-intensive; some of the materials were near impossible to source.
Back then, even Yufeng Group had to spend a fortune to obtain custom-made transistors.
These particular transistors were incredibly difficult to manufacture, with ultra-low yield—there was a market, but no supply.
So what now?
The toughest problem was staring Jiang Fuyue in the face.
Her exact words were—
“If there are no conditions, then we create them. If KT could exist twenty years ago, then it can exist again twenty years later.”
The moment Liu Jinzhong heard that, he understood.
He took full charge of the early groundwork—factory setup, building research labs, registration, paperwork—handling it all on his own.
Doing the most, in the shortest time.
Then, the new KT was born. From here on out, though, it wasn’t his area of expertise anymore.
Fortunately, Jiang Ke had graduated top of his class from Camp A, and now stepped out to lead.
At this point, Liu Jinzhong had to admit: his lady truly had incredible foresight—she’d secured the perfect candidate early on.
And thinking about it, Jiang Ke really was a perfect fit.
The best possible choice!
Now that Jiang Ke had taken on the mission and left, there was only one person left…
Liu Sisi stared straight ahead, quietly waiting for fate to unfold.
She believed in that person.
Just like she believed the moon would rise, the moonlight would fall across the land—and as long as she waited patiently in the darkness, she would one day be cloaked in its glow…
