After Rebirth, I Am the White Moonlight of All The Big Brothers Chapter 415

“No way, right? They already won one item. It’s not like they have a grudge against President Lou. Why keep competing against her? Are they just playing with fire?”

“I just don’t get it—out of the three VIP rooms, two have already joined the bidding war, but the one belonging to Dr. X hasn’t made a single move.”

“Then why is he even here? Just to watch the show?”

“Hahaha…”

The auctioneer struggled to contain his excitement. “Forty million once, forty million twice, forty million th—”

The auction hammer was already raised, waiting for the final word before it would strike and seal the deal.

“Fifty million.”

The Yufeng Group had finally joined the fray!

“Oh my god… F-Fifty million?!”

The crowd fell silent for a brief moment before erupting into a frenzy of discussions.

“Holy sh*t! They raised the bid!”

“Looks like these two are going head-to-head.”

“I get the feeling Yufeng’s side is provoking them even more.”

“This is going to be interesting.”

No matter how heated the discussions got outside, Jiang Fuyue remained calm. With just a slight lift of her hand, Liu Sisi knew exactly what to do. She didn’t even need to speak—it was as effortless as it was satisfying.

“Sixty million!”

This time, the other party seemed unwilling to give up as easily as before.

Of course, Jiang Fuyue wasn’t the type to be stingy with money. Without hesitation, as soon as the other side’s bid was announced, she signaled Liu Sisi—

“Seventy million.”

The auction hall was in an uproar.

“This is insane! Completely insane!”

“They’re throwing money around like it’s nothing! Starting at twenty million and bidding up to seventy million—do they even know the value of money? This is terrifying…”

“There’s got to be a grudge between these two sides. Are they using this as an excuse to declare war?”

“Broke people like us can only sit back and watch.”

The auctioneer called out again, “Seventy million once, seventy million twice—”

“Eighty million.”

It was no longer the voices of the two women bidding. This time, a deep, magnetic male voice took over.

In the VIP room with the orange light, a masked man spoke softly, and his voice was amplified throughout the entire auction hall.

“He’s finally making a move! Dr. X’s side has finally stepped in!”

“D*mn, so he was just waiting for the right moment to strike.”

“He let the two women fight it out first, but in the end, it still takes a man to settle things. Brilliant.”

Liu Sisi turned to Jiang Fuyue. “Should we keep bidding?”

Jiang Fuyue recalled the background information she had gathered on this so-called “Dr. X” and hesitated for a moment.

Just then, there was a faint noise outside the room. Liu Sisi’s eyes turned sharp, and her entire body tensed instinctively.

Jiang Fuyue gave her a slight nod.

In an instant, Liu Sisi darted toward the door, pressed herself against the wall, and then abruptly flung it open.

Everything happened too fast. The person outside had no time to react and was immediately caught red-handed.

It was the young male secretary who worked for Lou Mingxin.

Liu Sisi wasted no time—she clamped a hand over his mouth, dragged him inside, and threw him onto the sofa.

The secretary was so stunned that he saw stars. Just as he was about to cry out for help, something cold pressed against his throat.

Liu Sisi held a dagger, her expression emotionless.

Jiang Fuyue sauntered over with a smile. “You can speak if you want, but the moment you do, you’ll be dead. Think carefully.”

The secretary trembled all over, fear flooding his eyes. He started shaking his head frantically.

“Did Lou Mingxin send you?”

The secretary nodded.

“For what?”

“I—I—”

Before he could finish, Liu Sisi pressed the dagger closer. “Use a normal volume. Don’t act stupid.”

The secretary nearly cried. One moment, they wouldn’t let him talk. The next, they demanded he speak.

Living was so difficult…

“L-Lou… President Lou sent me to, to check on you.”

So he was spying on them?

Jiang Fuyue sneered. Lou Mingxin wasn’t particularly smart, and even her secretary was this dumb. Truly, idiots flock together.

Once she had gotten all the information she needed, Liu Sisi asked, “What should we do with him?”

The secretary trembled violently. The way she spoke made him feel like he was just some disposable piece of trash.

Jiang Fuyue’s tone was calm. “Dump him outside Lou Mingxin’s room. Let her see for herself how useless her people are.”

Once this minor issue was taken care of, the blue-and-white porcelain item was officially sold for a sky-high price of eighty million pounds to the masked bidder in the orange-lit VIP room.

Jiang Fuyue was pleased.

Liu Sisi, confused, asked why.

Jiang Fuyue smirked. “As long as Lou Mingxin doesn’t get it, I’m happy no matter who does.”

“Oh.” Liu Sisi understood now.

It was clear that Jiang Fuyue had come to this auction purely to spite Lou Mingxin. That woman must have been truly insufferable.

Liu Sisi mentally added Lou Mingxin to her blacklist.

In her world, Jiang Fuyue was never wrong. If there was a problem, it was always the other person’s fault.

A simple, straightforward logic.

But Jiang Fuyue was happy.

And so was Liu Sisi.

Lou Mingxin’s plans to curry favor with red jade marrow and blue-and-white porcelain had both fallen through. There was nothing left worth bidding on.

Jiang Fuyue and Liu Sisi left, mission accomplished.

As they exited, they happened to run into the occupants of the neighboring VIP room.

A tall figure brushed past her, and though both of them initially ignored each other, they suddenly turned their heads at the same time.

One wore a mask.

The other was covered with synthetic skin.

Clearly, they were both disguised. Yet, inexplicably, they both sensed a strange familiarity in the other.

The man hesitated for a fraction of a second.

Jiang Fuyue quickly averted her gaze, forcing herself to stay calm. She led Liu Sisi away, maintaining an air of composure.

No matter where that sense of familiarity came from, or who the man was, she knew one thing for sure—

She could not be recognized!

Once outside the auction hall, the two picked up their pace.

Liu Sisi said, “I’ll go get the car.”

Jiang Fuyue nodded. The car was parked nearby, so she simply waited in place.

Suddenly, she tensed—footsteps approached.

Not good!

“Forget the car—run!” she ordered.

Liu Sisi didn’t hesitate. She bolted.

At the same time, Jiang Fuyue dashed off in the opposite direction.

Across from the auction house was an old urban village with broken streetlights flickering intermittently—an ideal cover.

She slipped into one of the buildings and hid in a stairwell, slowing her breathing until she was almost invisible in the darkness.

Soon, a group of five or six men entered the building.

Their leather boots clacked against the worn stairs, making the whole structure tremble.

“Quiet down!” someone scolded. “You want to announce our presence to the whole world?”

The footsteps softened.

“D*mn it! Where is she?! We clearly saw her come this way!”

“What about the other woman?”

A suffocating silence followed.

“…She got away.”

“Useless!”

“But the red jade is on that man! All we have to do is catch him and take it—then the mission’s as good as done.”

“Hah, naive! The boss said anyone who tries to steal from her has to pay with their life!”

Hiding in the shadows, Jiang Fuyue heard every word loud and clear. Yet she wasn’t angry—her breathing remained steady and calm, as if she’d expected Lou Mingxin to pull a stunt like this all along.

Otherwise, why else would she call her stupid?

Someone had just walked out of the auction hall, and Lou Mingxin was already staging a murder-and-robbery act right after—might as well broadcast her guilt to the world.

Did she think people who could afford a private room at Christie were easy targets?

Maybe Lou Mingxin hadn’t even considered that. Not only had she provoked the wrong crowd, but she’d done so brazenly, reeking of blood and arrogance.

Twenty years and still not an ounce of progress—still the same fool!

“We can’t waste any more time! Split up and search—”

“Yes!”

The group quickly dispersed.

The corner Jiang Fuyue was hiding in would soon be searched. She couldn’t stay there any longer.

She turned and slipped into the stairwell, heading upward. But after a few steps, she suddenly paused, then retraced her steps and stopped in front of a row of exposed natural gas pipes.

She twisted one of the valves—unlocked. No safety lock, not even a warning sign.

Footsteps echoed up and down the stairwell. Jiang Fuyue gritted her teeth. No more hesitation.

“Sorry about this…” she muttered.

There was no choice—she had to gamble.

Just as she bit through a strip of duct tape, two men suddenly came charging up from the stairwell below.

Their eyes met in an abrupt, unfiltered confrontation.

Jiang Fuyue’s gaze sharpened instantly. Without a word, she raised her foot and, like lightning, landed a powerful kick squarely against one man’s chest.

The tall, burly man was caught off guard. Staggering backward, clutching his chest, he stumbled until he slammed into the corner wall, just barely catching himself—but the back of his head struck the concrete with a dull thud.

When he raised his head again, his eyes were bloodshot and brimming with fury. Though he tried to hold it back, a gush of blood sprayed from his mouth, splattering onto the floor and dripping down from the corner of his lips onto his chest.

Seeing things go south, his companion quickly rushed forward to help him—then charged straight at Jiang Fuyue in a full-blown assault…
