After Running Away Pregnant, I Ended Up on the Wanted Lists of Both the Demon Venerable and the Immortal Venerable Chapter 26

Have You Ever Regretted It?

The entrance fell completely silent.

After hearing this, the servant froze on the spot, momentarily stunned.

Ye Jisheng raised his brows somewhat impatiently and said, “Do you need me to repeat myself?”

The invisible pressure was extremely terrifying.

The servant snapped back to his senses in a bit of panic and hurriedly said, “No, no need. So that’s how it is. Then please wait here for a moment, the three of you. I’ll go report to the family head right away.”

After speaking, the servant hurried off.

The three waited in place. After Jian Zhen finished eating the pastry in his hand, he said weakly, “Will they believe it?”

Ye Jisheng said, “Why wouldn’t they?”

The man’s gaze fell lightly on the two people beside him.

He curled his lips.

“Is there anything wrong with what I said?”

Jian Zhen: “……”

Daring to call an Immortal Venerable a servant, across the three realms, there was only this one.

Fu Changhuan, however, maintained a calm expression and said evenly, “The master and the servant wearing the same clothes, that’s a first for me.”

Ye Jisheng stood calmly to the side and, hearing this, said, “The demon clan and the yao clan don’t have as many rules as the immortal clan. Immortal lord, it’s better not to bring those up.”

Fu Changhuan fell silent, as if he had no intention of arguing with him.

Jian Zhen said, “Someone’s coming.”

As his words fell, the servant happened to return from inside. He was much more respectful now and said, “The family head invites the three of you to go in.”

Everyone stepped into the manor.

After entering the manor, one could discover that its internal layout was actually not simple. It concealed a Five Elements Eight Trigrams formation. If someone unfamiliar with spells were to wander in by mistake, they would probably only get lost.

An ordinary person would have panicked long ago.

Ye Jisheng and Fu Changhuan, however, were as calm as if strolling through their own back garden.

As for Jian Zhen, he did not sense any formation at all. He simply felt that the road was a bit long and walking was very tiring!!

The servant was secretly astonished.

These three were actually so calm, surely none of them were ordinary people.

When they reached the back hall, the servant said, “The family head is inside. Please go in.”

Everyone stepped in one by one.

Upon entering the main hall, they could see the person seated in the center. The head of the Luo family looked to be a somewhat aged middle-aged man this year, dressed in a purple robe, seated in the center of the hall, leisurely drinking tea.

Jian Zhen and the others entered the great hall.

The Luo family head said, “You must be the honored guests recommended by Manor Lord Wang?”

Ye Jisheng said, “Precisely.”

The Luo family head asked, “Then may I ask, what matter brings you here?”

Ye Jisheng said unhurriedly, “Naturally, we have something to ask for.”

The Luo family head looked at Jian Zhen and said, “This one is the wife?”

It was Jian Zhen’s first time being addressed this way. Being looked at like this by the Luo family head made him somewhat uncomfortable, but due to the role he was playing, he obediently nodded.

The family head said, “What is it that you need my help with?”

Ye Jisheng said unhurriedly, “My wife has been frail since birth and their cultivation is not high. After becoming pregnant, they also often run around. I am very worried. I heard that Manor Lord Luo here has prescriptions that can stabilize the fetus and protect the pregnancy, so I came to ask for them.”

After hearing this, the Luo family head smiled and said, “You flatter us. Our Luo family has been in business for generations and merely has some superficial knowledge of medicine. We truly do not have any methods for stabilizing the fetus and protecting pregnancy. However, since we have met, it is fate. If you have anything you need help with in the future, feel free to come find me again.”

The words ended here. Though spoken obliquely, they were clear enough.

Matters like stabilizing the fetus and protecting pregnancy were not something they accepted. Of course, only if there were more important matters later would they consider it.

Ye Jisheng said lightly, “Since that is the case, then we will take our leave.”

The Luo family head nodded and said, “Safe travels, everyone. Ah Fu, see the guests out.”

Everyone stood up and followed the servant, slowly walking back along the same path they had come. The Luo residence covered a large area, yet along the way they did not encounter a single passerby. After the servant escorted them out through the main gate, he decisively closed it.

When the gate slowly shut.

The surrounding streets were bustling with people coming and going, and the three strolled among them.

Fu Changhuan’s gaze fell upon the surrounding vendors and merchants, and he spoke calmly, “Did you discover anything?”

Jian Zhen said, “All the plants and flowers grown inside his residence are dead. Although they look like they’re blooming well, they’re all catalyzed with spiritual energy.”

All things have spirits.

The osmanthus trees in Manor Lord Wang’s courtyard were all alive, but every single flower and plant in the Luo residence was dead.

Ye Jisheng said lightly, “There are the Eighteen Qian–Kun Formations on the ground, used to invert yin and yang. Their lair should be underground.”

Fu Changhuan said, “With all the vegetation in the residence dead, there won’t just be a few things underground.”

Jian Zhen listened, dumbfounded.

Little Grass felt that he had merely gone to the Luo residence to eat two plum-blossom pastries, then walked a few stretches of road and circled around a few times, yet the two people beside him seemed to have already dug out all of the Luo residence’s secrets.

Fu Changhuan nodded. “Using the hearts of love of the common people to go and harm the lives of innocent people violates the regulations of the Three Realms. The yao clan’s royal family indeed has serious internal strife.”

Ye Jisheng snorted with a laugh and said lightly, “It’s nothing more than their own incompetence.”

Not far away, there was a small stall selling sugar figurines.

Jian Zhen was drawn by interest and stopped in front of the stall.

Fu Changhuan and Ye Jisheng stood not far away. His gaze carried a hint of contemplation as he spoke, “What about you?”

Ye Jisheng turned his head to look at him.

Fu Changhuan stood beneath a tree, his cool brows and eyes tinged with the detachment unique to immortals, and he said, “If it were you, would you do the same?”

Ye Jisheng let out a lukewarm laugh, as if he had heard something ridiculous, his eyes carrying their habitual arrogance and disdain. “What do other people’s lives have to do with me? However, I would not be as incompetent as them.”

Fu Changhuan said, “You wouldn’t be discovered?”

“No.” Ye Jisheng lowered his head to look at him. Those black eyes faintly glowed with red light, surging with the madness he kept deeply hidden. “I would kill everyone who dared to stop me.”

That defiant madness and crimson color were as brilliant as the raging fires that once burned on Spirit Mountain ten thousand years ago, and the streams of blood that flowed like rivers.

Fu Changhuan stood in place, snow-white robes like frost. He said, “No, you wouldn’t.”

Ye Jisheng raised his brows.

Fu Changhuan’s gaze fell on the person at the sugar-figurine stall not far away, and he said in a low voice, “He wouldn’t let you do that.”

A breeze blew in from afar, and beneath the tree, the black-and-white-robed figures’ garments fluttered.

Ye Jisheng seemed wrapped in an unmelting chill. He curled his lips and said, “Is that so?”

“Then,” he said, “you’d better pray that he’s always there.”

Fu Changhuan fell silent.

Ten thousand years ago, even the Ten-Thousand Annihilation God-Slaying Grand Formation could not stop Ye Jisheng’s steps as he slaughtered the mountain. Even with half his power sealed away, he had still nearly massacred Spirit Mountain entirely. When Ye Jisheng went mad, no one knew what he would do. In this world, there was only one person who could hold him back. Ye Jisheng was a madman, and that person was his soothing medicine.

The streets bustled with people coming and going.

Jian Zhen returned from not far away holding two sugar figurines, his fair little face and eyes sparkling. “Look quickly, these are sugar figurines molded after the Immortal Venerable and the Demon Venerable!”

The two sugar figurines in his hands were lifelike.

Ye Jisheng said lightly, “Is that so?”

Jian Zhen nodded. Thinking that he was interested in the sugar figurines, he hurriedly and proactively handed them over for him to look at, saying softly, “Which one do you want?”

Ye Jisheng took the Immortal Venerable sugar figurine with a crunch, then bit into it, biting off the head in one go. A faint smile curved on his face as he said unhurriedly, “It’s quite good.”

Jian Zhen: “……”

Fu Changhuan chose silence.

Holding the sugar figurines and standing in the wind in disarray, Jian Zhen did not quite dare to look at the Immortal Lord’s expression.

Jian Zhen hesitated for a long time, then looked at the Immortal Lord with some uncertainty and asked, “Um, there’s still one left. Do you want it?”

Fu Changhuan said gently, “No matter. I don’t like sweets. You eat it.”

A bit of a smile appeared on Jian Zhen’s face, and he nodded in agreement. He looked at the two of them and said, “What were you talking about just now? Did you argue again?”

Fu Changhuan glanced at Ye Jisheng.

Ye Jisheng sneered.

Fu Changhuan explained gently to Jian Zhen, “Of course not. We were discussing tonight’s plan to go to the Luo residence.”

“Oh.” Jian Zhen nodded and said, “That’s fine. I can take you in.”

Ye Jisheng said, “You?”

Jian Zhen said while biting into the sugar figurine, “Yeah. The boss who sold the sugar figurines just told me that the small gate in the Luo residence’s back courtyard usually doesn’t have many people around. If we want to go in, we can go from there.”

Ye Jisheng and Fu Changhuan looked toward the sugar-figurine stall. The mobile stall was already nowhere to be seen.

An ordinary person might still have to doubt the authenticity of this information and beware of being deceived, but Ye Jisheng and Fu Changhuan were different. Overwhelming power meant they feared no schemes at all.

Night fell.

The high-hanging moon lit up the sky.

In the back courtyard of the Luo residence, a massive stone slab was opened.

Following the small path below and slowly walking inward, one could feel the faintly discernible chill of the dungeon. Oil lamps were lit at both ends of the corridor. Walking along them, it did not take long to see different water prisons.

In the water prisons were placed blocks of amber.

Jian Zhen asked, “What’s inside those?”

Fu Changhuan took one look and said, “Cultivators who were sent here.”

Only, the people inside the amber all appeared to be sleeping peacefully. Yet every face was devoid of color, their bodies looking gaunt, as if their vital essence had been completely drained.

Ye Jisheng sneered coldly: “It really took quite a bit of effort.”

Fu Changhuan said: “The place where the cultivators’ vital essence is refined should still be further ahead.”

The underground corridor branched in all directions, and mechanisms were set up everywhere, with quite a few patrolling guards as well, but for Ye Jisheng and Fu Changhuan, these were practically no problem at all.

Sometimes Jian Zhen hadn’t even seen clearly yet before they had already passed through.

The three of them finally stopped in front of a gigantic stone door.

This heavy door stood at the deepest part of the cave entrance, thick and oppressive; it was difficult even to push, and there were no mechanisms anywhere that could be used to open the door.

Fu Changhuan said: “This door is forged with Yunstone locks. To open it, one needs to solve the formation beneath the Yunstone door…”

His words had barely fallen.

Ye Jisheng raised his hand, and crimson soul fire surged up, enveloping the entire door.

The soul fire’s extremely fierce and domineering corrosiveness almost instantly devoured the heavy Yunstone door. Blazing flames ignited, and before everyone’s eyes, the door slowly opened.

“Boom”

The massive Yunstone door collapsed.

It finally revealed the full scene inside, which was also the full scene beneath Luo Manor. The sight within even shocked the usually laid-back Jian Zhen somewhat. He saw that along the stone walls were stored large and small amber crystals. Those amber crystals were tied together with red threads. When the formation was activated, all the energy of the crystals would be transmitted through the red threads and flow into the coffin at the very center.

The wind stirred the red cords.

Ye Jisheng said: “A soul-cultivating formation.”

Hearing this, Jian Zhen curiously raised his head and asked: “What is a soul-cultivating formation?”

Ye Jisheng hooked his lips, glanced sideways at Fu Changhuan, and said: “This formation, he is far more familiar with it than I am.”

Jian Zhen hadn’t expected this. He looked curiously toward the Immortal Lord.

Fu Changhuan looked at the scene before him, and a rare seriousness appeared on his face. He said: “Luo Manor actually dared to trespass into the Immortal Pavilion to steal the immortal clan’s forbidden technique. This venerable will absolutely not let them off lightly.”

Ye Jisheng sneered: “Luo Yucheng’s cultivation is only at the Nascent Soul stage, yet he could come and go freely from the heavily guarded Immortal Pavilion and even steal a formation. Is there no one left on Spirit Mountain?”

Fu Changhuan turned to look at him.

An ordinary person would probably have long since become angry upon being spoken to like this.

However, someone only one step away from stepping into the Soul Transformation stage already possessed a nimble heart. With a powerful and rational mind, Fu Changhuan looked at Ye Jisheng and said: “You’re saying there’s an insider in the Immortal Pavilion?”

Ye Jisheng raised an eyebrow and said leisurely: “Otherwise?”

Fu Changhuan said subconsciously: “The Immortal Pavilion is guarded by my disciple Ling Can. Without a key, it would be impossible for anyone to enter or leave. Ling Can has entered the mountain for a thousand years and naturally understands the critical points of the soul-cultivating formation. He would absolutely not make such a foolish mistake.”

Ye Jisheng sneered: “Seems you really don’t understand that disciple of yours.”

The two of them talked back and forth for quite a while.

Then they turned around.

Jian Zhen was craning his small head, looking at them curiously, and spoke: “What is a soul-cultivating formation?”

Seeing his eager-to-learn eyes, Fu Changhuan withdrew his focus and said: “The soul-cultivating formation is a forbidden technique of the immortal clan. This method…”

At this point, he paused, seeming somewhat hesitant.

Ye Jisheng directly said: “This method requires taking tens of thousands of cultivators at the Golden Core stage or above, shattering their inner cores from within their bodies, then gathering their spiritual energy through the soul-cultivating formation. After refining and cycling it, one can make the dead return to life.”

Jian Zhen widened his eyes.

Ordinary people, upon hearing this, would only marvel at how powerful this formation was, how godlike its techniques were.

But an expression of reluctance appeared on Little Grass’s face. He said softly: “Does it really require so many people to die in vain…”

Ye Jisheng gave a light snort and said carelessly: “This formation had already been lost, but ten million years ago it was activated by a disciple of the immortal clan, and afterward was listed as a forbidden technique by the Cangfeng Pavilion of Spirit Mountain.”

Jian Zhen inexplicably felt enlightened and said: “Ten million years ago, someone used this formation?”

Fu Changhuan’s gaze fell on Ye Jisheng. He said: “This formation slaughters living beings. It should never have appeared in this world.”

Jian Zhen nodded. He didn’t know why, but his heart felt heavy, and he said softly: “Indeed. Using the lives of tens of thousands of people to exchange for one person’s revival, would the person revived really be happy?”

Ye Jisheng said: “Only the incompetent would need to do such a thing.”

Jian Zhen curiously raised his head. His jet-black eyes reflected Ye Jisheng’s figure as he asked: “Why?”

Ye Jisheng’s expression was calm. His black robes actually echoed with the red cords filling the hall. He said lightly: “If this venerable were to love someone, I would only rely on my own strength to save him. Why would I need this?”

Jian Zhen smiled somewhat in agreement: “If it were me, I would do the same.”

Ye Jisheng raised an eyebrow: “You’re not afraid.”

Jian Zhen glared at him a little indignantly. His fair little face puffed up as he said: “Stop looking down on people!”

He is a Little Grass, but also a brave little grass.

He won’t get scared at the drop of a hat!

However, Jian Zhen said curiously: “But can relying on one person’s strength really work? Does this formation have to require so, so many people to activate?”

Fu Changhuan stood at the stone cave entrance, his gaze distant. He said: “If using the inner cores of cultivators at the Golden Core stage, it would require tens of thousands, but if they are at the Nascent Soul stage, then only thousands are needed. As for those at the soul transformation stage…”

Jian Zhen’s little head instantly understood: “The stronger a person is, the more their inner core can match hundreds.”

Fu Changhuan nodded and said: “Returning from death is going against the heavens. No matter how high one’s cultivation is, anyone who does this will inevitably be struck by the backlash of the Heavenly Dao and bear extremely great karma.”

Jian Zhen looked at the countless ambers on the cave walls and said softly: “Then although the spiritual energy of those with higher cultivation is greater, reaching such a high level of cultivation must not be easy. Enduring so much suffering for nothing, would anyone really be that foolish?”

As soon as his words fell, an enraged voice came from behind the door: “What are you doing?”

Everyone turned around.

Luo Manor’s family head, Luo Yucheng, strode in and said: “What do you intend to do, barging into my manor’s forbidden grounds in the middle of the night?”

Following him were countless household guards.

Along the way in, the tunnel’s mechanisms and guards had already been killed almost completely. Luo Yucheng looked at the three of them warily and spoke: “During the day, the three of you came here. At that time, I had already recognized that the three of you had plaques of Fuling Mountain disciples hanging at your waists, and I did not intend to make things difficult for you, sparing you a way out. Who would have thought that you would refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit!”

Inside the cave cliff, the crystals shone brightly.

Countless household guards surrounded the three of them tightly.

If it were others, they might already have been scared until their legs went soft. But among the three surrounded in the middle, the fair and tender youth in the center was somewhat at a loss; the man in white robes looked on at everything with a cold expression, his calm posture as though everything before him were nothing more than a trivial scuffle; and the man in black was even more indifferent, lazily standing at the fair youth’s side, contemptuous as if looking at a group of ants.

Luo Yucheng said: “My Luo family has always had no enmity or grudge with Fuling Mountain. I wonder how you young friends have come to be at odds with us. Today, if you do not give us an explanation, I fear I cannot let you leave!”

With a single order, the surrounding guards rushed forward in a swarm.

But all the attacks were rebounded by an invisible layer of spiritual energy barrier, and the surrounding guards cried out in misery.

Fu Changhuan lowered his hand and said lightly: “The one who should give an explanation is you.”

When Luo Yucheng met Fu Changhuan’s gaze, his entire body seemed to be frozen in place. All the household guards of his manor put together were all at Foundation Establishment level or above, yet such a large group attacking together had been blocked so easily, without even injuring them in the slightest!

These people…

Their cultivation was probably not even limited to the Immortalization stage!

Fu Changhuan said: “Privately stealing the immortal clan’s forbidden technique, tell me, where did you obtain this formation?”

Looking at the defeated troops all over the ground, as well as the many ambers and the coffin behind him.

Luo Yucheng took a deep breath and said: “Don’t act rashly. I, Luo Yucheng, am the maternal uncle of the current Eldest Prince. Not only on Feiyun Mountain, but throughout the entire demon clan, I have standing. You are disciples of Fuling Mountain, so you must want to pass the assessment, right? Let me tell you, if you injure me today, Fuling Mountain will absolutely not take you in!”

As his words fell, all around fell silent.

A cold laugh fell lightly.

Luo Yucheng abruptly looked toward the cave wall by the door, and saw the black-clad man who had not spoken much raise his eyes. When his words fell, they carried an extremely faint killing intent: “If I insist on acting rashly, what can you do?”

As his words fell, the entire cave wall began to shake.

Countless amber stones smashed down, red cords swayed wildly, and the entire formation was on the verge of collapsing and being dismantled in an instant, while the coffin at the center of the formation was about to be smashed apart.

“Stop!”

A clear, resonant voice rang out from the air!

Power belonging to the Immortalization stage descended from above, forcibly holding up all the ambers that were about to fall. The newcomer’s voice carried a trace of anger: “I don’t know where my Feiyun Valley has offended the Demon Venerable, that you would go so far as to tear everything here apart?”

Once the Demon Venerable’s soul fire appeared, no one in the three realms failed to recognize it.

That earlier strike, the soul fire had nearly shattered all the souls, also forcing the one behind the scenes to reveal himself.

With his identity exposed, there was no need for Ye Jisheng to continue pretending. All those present only saw the man who had just been wearing plain black robes reveal his original appearance: dark robes trimmed with gold brocade, ink-black hair beneath a golden crown, a tall figure with an overwhelmingly powerful presence. On his handsome face, a pair of red eyes were dangerous and made one not dare to meet his gaze. He seemed to smile yet not smile, crimson soul fire captivating the heart.

Ye Jisheng said: “If it’s torn down, then it’s torn down. When this venerable does things, do I need a reason?”

The voice in midair paused.

Then, he said: “The Demon Venerable naturally does not need a reason to act. It’s just that I have no enmity or grudge with the Demon Venerable. I ask the Demon Venerable to show mercy and spare us this once. In the future, there will surely be heavy thanks.”

Ye Jisheng hooked his lips, making it impossible to tell joy from anger.

The Demon God had always acted without reason or rules, his moods unpredictable and his actions unfathomable.

Ye Jisheng said calmly: “An immortal clan disciple dares to negotiate terms with this venerable.”

The voice in midair suddenly fell silent; he likely had not expected that without even meeting, merely through a clash of divine senses, all identities had already been exposed.

“The Demon Venerable is indeed the Demon Venerable.” The voice chuckled. “Nothing can be hidden from you.”

Ye Jisheng did not speak.

That voice said: “Since the Demon Venerable knows my identity, you naturally also understand my current status. If the Demon Venerable truly intends to destroy this place today and kill me, are you not afraid of forming an enmity with the immortal clan? Are you not afraid that my master, Immortal Lord Wangyou, will avenge me?!”

As the words fell, all around fell silent.

Jian Zhen, standing beside the two of them, froze for a moment.

Little Grass fell silent.

Little Grass looked toward Fu Changhuan beside him, who wore white robes and had taken on human form, and softly said: “Little White, is he talking about you?”

The entire cave once again fell into silence because of this sentence.

Seeing this, Fu Changhuan no longer concealed his identity. He walked forward slowly, waved toward the void, and said with an extremely cold expression: “Ling Can, come here.”

The power of a soul transformation-stage supreme being of the three realms was immeasurable.

A gigantic void formation was deployed in midair. Spirit Mountain lay thousands upon thousands of miles away from the yao clan, and the Thousand-Mile Shrinking Technique was not something just anyone could easily activate, yet Fu Changhuan opened the grand formation with a mere raise of his hand.

Countless amber stones fell.

Ling Can’s figure dropped to the ground out of thin air. He looked at everyone in some panic, utterly unable to understand why his master had appeared here, together with the Demon Venerable of the demon clan, in a small manor of the yao clan.

Fu Changhuan lowered his gaze to look at him, his eyes icy as if quenched with frost, and said: “Why did you abuse your position for personal gain, privately using the soul-cultivating formation?”

All around, amber stones continued to fall.

The light on the coffin at the center of the formation also dimmed. Ling Can, kneeling on the ground, scrambled and crawled toward the coffin, shouting anxiously from his mouth: “Yun Niang, Yun Niang…”

Inside the coffin lay a woman. The woman’s flesh-and-blood body was intact, dressed in a pink gown, looking as though she were asleep.

Everyone’s red strings fell away.

The coffin lost the nourishment supplied by the golden core, and the woman inside the coffin seemed to wither away in an instant as well. Her body slowly lost its color; her hair was no longer jet-black but gradually turned pale.

Ling Can’s hands trembled slightly as he stroked the woman’s face. Old tears streamed down as he said, “Why… just a little bit short…”

Everyone in the cave watched this scene.

A Daoist priest of Spirit Mountain, immortal-boned and fairy-like, knelt before a coffin, holding a woman who was slowly turning into dry bones, crying bitterly.

Jian Zhen also felt some pity.

As he was thinking this, his arm was grabbed. He turned his head and saw that it was Ye Jisheng pulling him, and thought that Ye Jisheng, like himself, had been moved by this desolate scene.

But who would have thought,  Ye Jisheng merely pulled Jian Zhen a little farther back and said indifferently, “Stay farther away, there’s a lot of dust.”

Jian Zhen: “…Okay.”

Not far away, Ling Can clutched the coffin and cried as if possessed. Even his eyes gradually lost their clarity, his whole body emitting a thick, dark glow.

Fu Changhuan stepped forward. His voice was cold and clear, like the frost atop Spirit Mountain that never melts for ten thousand years, stern and sacred: “Ling Can, she is dead. Do not persist in your delusions.”

Ling Can, however, only tidied the hair of the dry bones in his arms. He said softly, “Before this disciple ever entered Spirit Mountain, I had already pledged myself to Yun Niang. Spirit Mountain’s requirements for accepting disciples were strict; she went up the mountain to gather herbs and save money for this disciple, but mistakenly fell from a cliff and died. This disciple had long sworn in his heart that no matter what method I used, I would revive her.”

Fu Changhuan frowned slightly and said, “This venerable has long taught you all that cultivators, regardless of the reason, must not slaughter the innocent for personal desire. Have you forgotten entirely?”

The room fell into complete silence.

The person kneeling before the coffin lowered his head, yet slowly laughed out loud.

Ling Can laughed lowly, his eyes gradually shrouded by darkness, turning a blood-red hue. He suddenly raised his head and said, “May I ask Master, what is personal desire?”

The cave was in utter disarray.

Ling Can shouted loudly, “As long as one is human, one will have personal desire in this world. Of course I am not as good as Master, able to achieve complete selflessness, able to watch one’s own junior brother die back then without lifting a finger to save him!!”

Fu Changhuan’s eyes suddenly turned sharp: “Ling Can!”

“Master, was this disciple wrong?” Ling Can’s heart was like dead ashes, and instead he felt no fear. He said with a smile, “These twelve million years, have you ever felt regret?”

Then, he looked toward Jian Zhen beside the Demon Venerable and said, “Master should have regret, right.”

“Master says this disciple has personal desire.” Ling Can laughed until tears came out as he said, “Even gods couldn’t escape vulgarity, could they? After all, the first person to use the Soul-Cultivating Formation back then wasn’t me!”
