Chapter 90

Qin Muye’s head hurt.
Since he and Qiuqiu got together, he slept well every night. Even during his susceptible period, Qiuqiu could comfort him well. But now, this discomfort was more agonizing than his previous susceptible periods. It was like someone had spread him out on an iron skillet, with a raging fire underneath, drying out his flesh and roasting his bones. His soul slowly dissipated along with his body.
In his daze, a gentle and familiar voice kept filling his ears.
“If there’s another life, Ah Ye, would you still want to be with me?”
“Ah Ye, would you be able to find me smoothly?”
“If possible, I want to have a happy childhood.”
The voice was gentle and tender. When Qin Muye finally recognized that the voice belonged to his Qiuqiu, his vision whitened, and all the sounds and light disappeared, greeted by boundless darkness.

“Ah Ye! Wake up! The company meeting is about to start. Why are you daydreaming at this time?!”
As if struck by lightning, Qin Muye heard Qin Zexi’s voice, and he looked at the slightly younger man before him with eyes wide open.
This was Qin Zexi?!
But wasn’t Qin Zexi sentenced to death and then commuted to life imprisonment, forever locked in the federal prison? Why was he now dressed in a suit and tie, impatiently urging him to go to the meeting?
No, wait… a meeting…
What meeting? Qin’s company had all been handed over to Qiuqiu, and he didn’t need to attend any meetings.
“What are you staring at? Hurry up and catch up! Don’t think just because you’re an intern, I’ll let you off easy. You had such a small amount of documents last night, and you’re in such bad shape today? Let me tell you, those old folks in the old house are all cannibals. If you let your guard down today, they’ll climb over your corpse to take your place tomorrow.”
Qin Zexi’s face was icy, and his words were filled with disdain towards him.
Meetings, internships, these unfamiliar or familiar words made Qin Muye somewhat puzzled, but he quickly realized what was happening.
This conversation had never occurred between him and Qin Zexi.
An incredible thought popped into Qin Muye’s mind—
Was there really a chance for him and Qiuqiu to…
Start over?
Qin Muye’s eyes lit up.
He was going to find him now, find his treasure.
“Why are you running! You’re going the wrong way! The meeting room is this way!”
“If you run away, I absolutely won’t clean up this mess for you!”
“Little brat, come back here!”
“I’m so mad!”

“Morning, go to ‘Morning Dawn’ orphanage, the sooner, the better.”
According to his phone records, he had just turned seventeen last week. Judging by the time, Qiuqiu should have already left the orphanage; but the Qin family was still there, Qin Zexi was still there, so there might be something still there.
He could only try to find him at the orphanage.
On the way, Qin Muye’s heart was fluctuating, like a tiny metal chisel pounding irregularly on his heart. He unlocked his phone with his fingerprint. This society was completely different from his original one, no second gender that countless people criticized or conformed to, no so-called federation, no thirteen military districts. They are only stationed on a small blue planet, with just over two hundred countries, each named with letter combinations.
In short, it seemed like he had come to a strange world.
But that didn’t matter. What mattered was that the orphanage where Qiuqiu was still existed.
This was just his first attempt.
If he couldn’t find him, he would continue searching elsewhere.
Now that they all lived on this blue planet, it wouldn’t be as difficult as before to find someone among the hundreds of millions of planets in the thirteen military districts.
***
“Morning Dawn” orphanage.
It was only seven minutes past seven in the morning, and three-year-old Rong Qiu had already gotten out of his small bed.
The blanket was too big for him to fold properly, but even so, he spent ten minutes carefully folding it into a soft tofu block.
Then, he went to the communal washroom outside. Washing up every day was troublesome for him. There were too many children of unknown origin in the orphanage, older than him, younger than him, boys, girls. Rong Qiu was just ordinary among them, except that he was cleaner than others. Because he was too thin, he had been ignored several times by the couples who came to adopt other children.
The arrangements in the orphanage were for older children to take care of the younger ones.
But the older brother who took care of Rong Qiu had been adopted by a gentle couple yesterday, so Rong Qiu had to wash up by himself.
The mirror in the washroom was high, and he had to stand on a small wooden bucket to see his little head.
The child in the mirror had delicate skin, as white as a peeled egg, soft and white like a piece of white pudding. His round eyes were like blue grapes, and his eyelashes curled up almost to the sky. The little soft hair had been washed with the help of Mama Xia last night, but because of his sleeping position, a few strands of hair were now sticking up, giving him an overall look of a little curly-haired mess.
The little curly-haired boy pouted, feeling a bit disdainful.
He carefully wet the towel and gently placed it on his hair, following the example of the older brother who had been adopted, slowly smoothing his hair with the wet towel.
Children of this age couldn’t distinguish between beauty and ugliness, but Rong Qiu subconsciously felt that he looked pretty. He usually didn’t run around outside, nor did he play with those boys who went out in the sun all day. He wanted to wait quietly for his brother to come and pick him up.
Usually, Rong Qiu liked cleanliness.
But usually, Rong Qiu wouldn’t dress himself up so carefully.
It was just because today was the “beauty day” that happened once a week.
The so-called “beauty day” was when all the children in the orphanage dressed in their best clothes, dressed up neatly and cleanly. At least ten “daddies” and “mommies” would take them home today. That’s what the older brothers and sisters said. By dressing up like this, they would have a home that everyone envied.
At this time, the mothers in the orphanage would always say that he was unlikeable.
Moody and reticent.
When someone came to see the children, he would hide behind the mothers, excessively timid and shy, which made all the couples who came to adopt ignore him.
He didn’t want to go.
He had his brother.
Rong Qiu was still wiping his hair slowly.
“Why bother dressing up so nicely if you’re just a sissy? The mothers said, ‘daddies’ and ‘mommies’ all like children who are sweet and smiling. You, a sissy and a sickly child, no ‘daddy’ or ‘mommy’ will like a child like you.”
The passing big boy, chubby and plump, often secretly took snacks from other children in the orphanage when the mothers couldn’t see him, and he was good at fighting. Although he was only two years older than Rong Qiu, he looked like he was five or six years older.
The chubby boy kicked Rong Qiu’s small bucket.
One kick wasn’t enough, so he kicked it several times.
Today’s chubby boy was particularly arrogant. He was the strongest child in the orphanage, and he would definitely be adopted by the wealthiest family. A skinny and dry little waste like Rong Qiu would never be liked by anyone.
A child’s kick wasn’t strong.
But Rong Qiu on the bucket was very light.
If it weren’t for Rong Qiu’s small hands grabbing onto the sink, he would have hit his teeth on the ground long ago.
Rong Qiu was a little angry, but not because he was very angry with the child’s words. He looked at the water stains on his clothes with little robots printed on them, and his little lips pouted slightly.
“Qiuqiu doesn’t want ‘daddy’ or ‘mommy,’ brother…” Rong Qiu added another modifier, “Qiuqiu’s brother will come find him!”
He started speaking late, and even now, although the sentences in his mind were clear, his spoken words were still fragmented.
“You’re talking nonsense! The children in the orphanage don’t have any family! You don’t have a brother!”
Rong Qiu didn’t argue with the boy two years older than him. He quietly got off the small bucket.
But Rong Qiu’s indifference made the five-year-old boy beside him furious.
The children in the orphanage were either too isolated or too audacious. Among the latter, there were always some irritable and annoying ones. Rong Qiu avoided them, but this boy pushed him, and as soon as Rong Qiu got off the bucket, he fell down.
Beside them was the sewage bucket that hadn’t been dealt with yesterday. When Rong Qiu fell, half of the bucket’s contents spilled out, flooding Rong Qiu’s white shorts and matching yellow robot T-shirt.
Rong Qiu was stunned.
This was his favorite outfit, and his brother hadn’t seen it yet!
“What’s going on?! Why is it such a mess early in the morning?”
“Mama Xia, Rong Qiu was playing with water this morning and accidentally knocked over the bucket. I was teaching him a lesson!”
Rong Qiu didn’t want to listen to Mama Xia or the chubby boy’s nonsense. He just looked at his dirty clothes and felt like crying.
“Is Qiuqiu hurt?”
Before he could react, a pair of big hands suddenly reached around his waist, gently lifting him up and using a towel to wipe his cheeks and fingers.
But no one knew that his anger inside was like a raging waterfall, unstoppable.
If he hadn’t come early today, would Qiuqiu have been bullied like this?
Who knew he would see Qiuqiu’s panic from a distance when he was pushed down.
Qiuqiu was still so young.
He looked like he had just learned to walk.
And he was being shoved by another much larger child.
Despite his initial rejection of the gentle and intimate wiping, Rong Qiu couldn’t help but feel warmth in the big brother’s embrace, and this was the first time he had been held so high. This big brother, who looked like a shining star in the sky, was so amazing.
Even though his first reaction was to recognize that this person wasn’t his brother, Rong Qiu couldn’t help but feel a fondness for Qin Muye.
But now he was so dirty.
Rong Qiu’s small hands weakly hung between them, but he remembered to respond to his handsome big brother.
“Qiuqiu isn’t hurt.”
Rong Qiu sniffled softly, looking particularly obedient, “Pretty brother, put Qiuqiu down.”
“The floor is dirty, let brother carry you.”
Qin Muye’s voice was very gentle, even though he was holding the child with one hand, the other hand was still free to wipe the child.
“Brother…”
“Speak, brother is listening.”
Qin Muye’s gentleness brought all of Rong Qiu’s grievances to the surface.
The little curly-haired boy cried with a pout, his eyes instantly turning red. He looked at the dirty water on his clothes and the clothes that were so dirty they couldn’t be looked at, his small body trembling, even his little curly hair drooped down.
“Qiuqiu is dirty, brother won’t want Qiuqiu anymore.”
