After Transmigrating into a Book, I Became the Strongest Omega Chapter 58

Chapter 58: Extra Chapter One

<Previous Chapter<Table of Contents>Next Chapter>

Dong Du has already retired.

The original book’s Little Prince…

Ji Ling completely didn’t understand the current situation.

He suddenly shifted from his luxurious bedroom to a run-down bookstore. The bookstore was dimly lit, with collapsed bookshelves, a barely hanging ceiling fan, and only a curtain door leaving a gap on the floor, through which several pairs of arms desperately reached inside.

Ji Ling, scared, huddled in the corner. He knocked his head several times, but the diligent system, which usually responded promptly, did not appear. He sniffled in grievance.

Even when he played the brainless cannon fodder Little Prince, he had never been in such a miserable situation. Angry and feeling sorrow, he scolded, “Stop scratching, did you enter the wrong set? Can’t you see there isn’t even a filming machine here? Quickly call someone from your crew. I’m not an actor!”

The response outside was an irrational roar. Ji Ling shrank into an even smaller ball.

What’s going on? Wasn’t it a horror movie shoot? Or are they really this dedicated?

“Hey, don’t scare me. I’ve traveled through so many worlds. Today is just my retirement. Could this be a retirement program? A prank?” Ji Ling kept muttering, but the more he spoke, the more uneasy he felt. No matter how he played the role, it shouldn’t be this intense. Those fingers scratching the ground even drew blood.

Suddenly, the roar outside grew louder. However, after some noise, it quieted down. A thick piece of wood was jammed into the door crack, and outside, someone heaved a sigh, lifting the door.

Ji Ling: “Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah——”

What the heck is coming in!

The person who just opened the door from the outside, “Ah, ah, ah, ah, what’s your name?”

“No, that, um…” Ji Ling stammered in fear. “Are you people from the Quick Transmigration Bureau? Were you just pranking me?”

“What Quick Transmigration Bureau?” The tall and sturdy man threw the wood aside. “Where’s your radio? Why didn’t you respond? We’ve been looking for you for so long. We’ve got the stuff, let’s go back to base.”

Ji Ling looked utterly bewildered, “Huh?”

A Quick Transmigration Bureau set up a retirement base?

“Number Four, why are you still babbling? Let’s go!” Someone outside urged loudly. “If you keep dawdling, the zombies will surround this place soon.”

Zombies?

Ji Ling’s head buzzed. Was he still in the Quick Transmigration? Was this a zombie-themed mission? But why was the system gone, and what was the task this time?

“Let’s go, Dong Little Du.” Number Four looked at him strangely.

“Is something wrong with your brain?”

“Dong Little Du?” Ji Ling quickly stood up and followed Number Four. “No, why are you calling me that? What do you mean?”

Dong Du was the identity from his previous Quick Transmigration, the Little Prince of the Clos Empire. The system had assigned him a task to play a malicious cannon fodder, and he had successfully achieved a BE ending with that name.

“Alright, let’s not call you Dong Little Du. We’ll call you Dong Du.” Number Four took a big step onto the high chassis of the armored vehicle. “Hurry up and get on.”

The car door was at chest level for Ji Ling. He tried and found, dispiritedly, “I can’t climb up.”

Number Four: “…”

Sitting in the driver’s seat, Old Eight: “…”

And sitting in the passenger seat, Little Seven: “…”

Did Dong Du, who can jump three floors, just struggle to climb onto an armored vehicle?

“What are you standing there for? Give me a hand!” Ji Ling, feeling uncomfortable under the strange gazes of the three, snorted in annoyance, “Stop calling me Dong Du. I knew it was a prank from the Quick Transmigration Bureau. You guys are really going all out!”

Old Eight and Little Seven glanced at each other. Old Eight had an expression of toothache, pointing to his own head with his finger, while Little Seven, stunned for a moment, numbly said, “It can’t be, right?”

Number Four, picking up Ji Ling like a little chicken, placed him in the car. Old Eight stepped on the gas, and the car quickly sped away.

The road here was uneven, Ji Ling was light in weight, and his head banged against the car roof with a clanging sound. Number Four, sitting next to him, tightened their legs, not daring to speak.

The more Ji Ling hurt, the angrier he became. Finally, unable to bear it any longer, he said, “What’s going on with your Quick Transmigration Bureau? Pranks upon arrival are one thing, but now you’re shaking me like this. I’ve been Quick Transmigrationing for over a decade. Do you know how difficult it is for someone without glands to act in an ABO world? After finally retiring, can’t you be a bit more polite? I’ve retired with honor!”

Little Seven nodded at Old Eight and pointed to his own head, “It seems like it might be true. Let’s hurry and take him to the infirmary when we get back.”

“Dong Du, what are you saying?” Number Four tried to ease his mood.

Unexpectedly, Ji Ling exploded even more, “Don’t call me Dong Du. I’m not Dong Du anymore. My name is Ji Ling, don’t you know? Didn’t the system inform you in advance?”

The inside of the car fell silent, and no one understood what he was saying. Ji Ling, annoyed, snorted and decided not to speak. When he arrived at the Quick Transmigration Bureau, he would definitely report these people!

The armored car, bouncing and speeding, arrived at a building. Old Eight and Little Seven got out of the car, vigilantly scanning the surroundings. Only then did the two obstructed people in the back get out. The four hurriedly went to the top floor, where two people on the plane were waiting and immediately jumped down.

Ah Two checked Ji Ling with relief and sighed, “No injuries. Where’s your little treasure?”

Ji Ling frowned, surveying the surroundings of this world while asking, “What little treasure?”

He couldn’t figure out if he was still in transit or if he had retired. Looking around, it was all ruins, nothing like a retirement center.

Old Eight gave Ah Two a meaningful look, shaking his head regretfully.

Zhi Nine stood at a distance and didn’t hear what they were saying. “What are you still doing? Hurry back. Dong Du, it’s almost time!”

With these words, Number Four, Old Eight, and Little Seven all showed frightened expressions. Indeed, Ji Ling was angry again. “I’ve said it, stop calling me Dong Du. Is it not over yet?”

Zhi Nine: “?”

He stared at the other four, full of confusion. What happened to Dong Little Du? It’s like he’s a different person now.

“Sigh, don’t be angry. Let’s go back quickly. Everything will be fine when we go back.” Number Four put their hand on Ji Ling’s shoulder, pushed him to the side of the plane, and lifted him up.

Zhi Nine scratched his head and sat in the driver’s seat.

The plane quickly landed on the survivors’ base airstrip. Although it was a passenger plane, all the seats were filled with food and canned goods. As soon as the plane stopped, a group of men boarded to unload the supplies.

A girl stood at the entrance of the plane, holding thick notebooks, continuously recording.

Ji Ling got off the plane, and the girl spared a glance at him. “Dong Du, any injuries?”

“No injuries,” Ji Ling didn’t correct her.

It might be a prank when one or two people called him Dong Du, but almost everyone here referred to him that way. So, it probably wasn’t just a prank.

He really is called Dong Du.

“Why are you standing there? Go eat.” Seeing him standing beside her lost in thought, the girl stared at him suspiciously. He used to be the most enthusiastic about meals.

Ji Ling had a tense day and was indeed a bit hungry now, but… he didn’t know where to eat!

Just as he was about to ask, Number Four jumped directly from the plane, followed by Old Eight, Little Seven, and others. Zhi Nine greeted him, “Let’s go, time for a meal.”

Ji Ling quickly ran over.

When they arrived at the canteen, the meals were already set on the tables. Ji Ling casually chose a seat, and just as he was about to start, Number Four interrupted, “Your bowl is here.”

This is a bowl?

Ji Ling looked at the bowl in front of him, which might be more appropriately called a basin. He surveyed everyone else’s bowls; they were normal, only his was a basin.

“I can’t eat so much.” Ji Ling said, “Can we share?”

The five people present were shocked, and then miraculously, their thoughts became unanimous. Dong Little Du must be seriously ill; otherwise, he would never say he couldn’t eat!

They didn’t eat the meal, hurriedly took Ji Ling to the infirmary, and the doctor examined him multiple times, even conducting a DNA test.

“This… this is not Dong Du!” The doctor was shocked, trying to tear off what might be called a wig behind Ji Ling’s ear.

However, it didn’t come off. This person just looked like this, but the DNA showed that he wasn’t even related to Dong Du.

“Who are you?” The people in the infirmary stared at him, on guard.

Ji Ling was terrified. He knocked on his head, loudly calling the system in his heart. However, he received no feedback from the system. So, he banged on the wall. He had to call out this stupid system today; he was an intellectual player, not a violent one. The system had assigned the wrong scenario to him!

“Hey, don’t, that, it’s not necessary. We’re not interrogating you.” Number Four and Old Eight pressed him down, while the doctor reported to the base management, stating that there was a new survivor here.

“Now, can I say I am Dong Du?” Ji Ling sniffed. He regretted his arrogant statement earlier; he shouldn’t have denied being Dong Du.

Number Four hesitated for a moment and then asked, “Do you want to do Dong Du’s job?”

“Yes, I want to!” Ji Ling replied decisively.

“I will help you apply. Anyway, don’t get too excited, don’t hurt yourself. Every survivor is like brothers and sisters.” Number Four thought he was really good at speaking; he managed to calm down a radical patient with a problematic brain who had been in the zombie heap for too long.

“Okay.” Ji Ling responded. He never intended to hurt himself. He just wanted to call the stupid system.

“Where’s the new survivor?” Base management Zhou Can pushed open the door of the infirmary aggressively. He had been searching everywhere, even turning over the trash cans, but he didn’t see any new faces. “Where is he?”

The doctor pointed to Ji Ling, and Zhou Can frowned. “Isn’t this Dong Du?”

People in the infirmary explained to him, and Zhou Can nodded frequently. Then, suddenly angry, he shouted, “So, this isn’t Dong Du. Then, where is Dong Du? Where’s that big Dong Du? Go find him!”

Because they were too shocked, the few people with well-developed limbs and simple minds didn’t react to this question until Zhou Can shouted, waking them up.

The survivors’ base was brightly lit tonight, and more than a dozen planes took off to the city.
