Awkward Chapter 94

Shoutout to nyanmaru for the commission!

Chen Mo frowned slightly, “Why do you ask?”

Ye Mu felt a sense of irritation. “In the middle of the night, I could have kicked you out, but I didn’t. What does that mean?”

He was trying to make the other person less obtuse in some ways.

Chen Mo, as expected, stared at him for a long time with his dark eyes and bluntly said, “Hungry.”

Ye Mu closed his eyes. “Besides that, if I were hungry, I could go find someone else. Why come to you?”

Chen Mo’s expression shifted slightly as he glanced at Ye Mu’s lower body, then remarked, “In a hurry, couldn’t resist.”

Ye Mu, still not satisfied, asked, “If I couldn’t resist, I could solve it myself as you suggested. Why insist on being with you?”

Chen Mo paused for a moment, hesitated for a few seconds, then said, “I’m good at it.”

Ye Mu laughed in anger, “Where does your confidence come from?”

Chen Mo fixed his gaze on him, eyes holding meaning, “If I wasn’t good, who is always asking me to be faster and deeper?”

Ye Mu was taken aback, feeling a bit embarrassed. In that environment, he just wanted to clarify things quickly. “Enough, you still don’t get my point.”

Chen Mo frowned at him. “So what exactly do you want to say?”

He had never liked Ye Mu’s roundabout way of speaking, and this time, he truly didn’t understand what the other person was trying to say.

Ye Mu felt a bit of a headache. “Can’t you see the intention so clearly?”

Chen Mo remained silent.

Ye Mu, feeling frustrated and a bit tired of the conversation, turned and went to the kitchen to open the fridge.

Chen Mo watched as Ye Mu took out quite a bit of vegetables and asked, “Making a late-night snack?”

Ye Mu, with drooping eyelids and a weak tone, replied, “Yeah, I’m hungry. Just making some noodles.”

Chen Mo approached him. “Let me do it. You go watch TV in the living room.”

Ye Mu declined, still standing by the stove with an expressionless face. “No need. We’re not that close.”

Chen Mo didn’t argue, silently taking a knife to help chop the vegetables.

Ye Mu lowered his head and cracked eggs, not speaking. He appeared calm and reserved, but was actually holding a grudge.

For a long time, neither of them spoke.

The room was very quiet, with only the sound of boiling water in the background.

Chen Mo glanced at the time and handed over the chopped vegetables. “It’s better if you make things clear. I don’t want any more misunderstandings between us.”

Ye Mu, cooking the noodles alone, said somewhat resignedly, “You’re already misunderstanding me.”

Chen Mo, with lowered brows and slightly parted lips, asked, “Be more specific.”

Ye Mu said blandly, “You’re not a casual person. Am I supposed to be one?”

Chen Mo’s gaze lowered slightly, honestly replying, “You aren’t.”

Ye Mu’s expression remained unchanged. “So?”

Though it was a simple question, he asked it seriously and thought-provokingly.

Since neither of them were casual people, how could they possibly get involved before agreeing to reconcile?

Chen Mo was silent for a moment, a flash of insight crossing his mind. “So what you mean is…”

Ye Mu looked up and met his gaze with a hint of ambiguous and disdainful feelings. “You’re so dumb.”

Chen Mo’s heart raced. After a moment of realization, he suddenly stepped forward and hugged him tightly, his voice betraying his excitement, “Are you serious?”

Ye Mu’s mood was complex, and he didn’t say much.

Everything seemed to be understood without words; a simple acceptance meant everything.

Though he wasn’t sure if this was right or wrong, at that moment, he was moved by Chen Mo’s previous words and wanted to be brave, to try doing what he wanted and follow his heart.

Chen Mo pinched his own face, still in disbelief. “Ye Mu, I must be dreaming.”

Ye Mu turned his head away, emotionless. “Just trying it out. I don’t know what this back-and-forth means. Just hoping it won’t harm anyone.”

Chen Mo tilted his head to turn Ye Mu’s face towards him, with a determined expression. “It won’t. I bet this won’t happen.”

Ye Mu placed his hand on Chen Mo’s broad shoulder, his face stern. “Don’t get too proud. This is just a trial; we might break up again in the future.”

Chen Mo held him close and kissed his lips seductively. “Idiot, that won’t happen.”

Ye Mu, reluctant to admit it, glanced at him sideways. “With your emotional intelligence, it’s hard to say.”

Chen Mo smiled, licking his earlobe and breathing hotly against him. “It’s your fault for being so vague. I didn’t understand.”

His voice was deep and magnetic, complementing his handsome face, making him look even more attractive under the light.

Ye Mu stared at him intensely, summoning the courage to say, “I missed you quite a bit during this time.”

Chen Mo’s eyes were deep as he caressed Ye Mu’s face, leaning down to kiss his lips, chin, and trailing to his Adam’s apple. “I missed you too, almost went crazy.”

Ye Mu tilted his head back, his eyes reddening. “Really?”

Chen Mo rubbed his lips along Ye Mu’s lines, voice hoarse with anger. “It’s your fault for leaving without a word.”

He kissed him passionately, their love exchanging through their breaths, igniting countless hormones and making it irresistible.

Ye Mu felt a tingle throughout his body, his eyes becoming misty. His fingers uncontrollably explored the edge of Chen Mo’s pants. “A change of environment is nice.”

Chen Mo held his hand. Compared to physical needs, he wanted to talk more. “Where’s the good part? You know how terrible my days have been. Not only did I offend the Yan family, but the company is on the brink of collapse.”

Ye Mu didn’t give up and deftly undid a black button on Chen Mo’s pants. “Then move here. This city might not be bustling, but it’s very livable.”

Chen Mo’s gaze was intense, his eyes like glass fixed on Ye Mu. “I will move here. After all, I need to keep an eye on you to prevent you from fooling around outside.”

Ye Mu remained indifferent, his fingers quietly slipping inside. “Do as you wish. I’m not involved with Jiang Xu.”

Chen Mo pulled him closer, frowning. “Just the way he looks at you makes me uncomfortable. Saying there’s nothing going on is hard to believe.”

Ye Mu’s expression was blank as he raised his face and directly kissed him, “Stop bringing up irrelevant people. Are you going to do it or not?”

Chen Mo looked at him with interest, teasing as he returned the kiss, “How come I never noticed before that you wanted it this much?”

Ye Mu’s face reddened. He didn’t know what had gotten into him tonight, but when he met Chen Mo’s gaze, he felt an overwhelming surge of passion and desire, “Stop talking nonsense.”

Chen Mo gently bit the corner of his mouth, his deep, magnetic voice laced with indulgence, “Liar.”

Ye Mu, feeling flustered, was a little short of breath and tried to deny it, “Nothing like that.”

Chen Mo laughed handsomely, holding the back of his head as he licked his lips, making the kiss deeper and sweeter.

Ye Mu was utterly lost in it, unable to extricate himself.

The two of them had been apart for a long time, and now they were entangled with each other, like dry wood catching fire, impossible to control. The numbness of pleasure crept up their spines, invading their brains, making them completely fall into it.

Exhausted and lying limp on the bed, Chen Mo kissed the strands of hair on his forehead, whispering, “Promise me, never leave me so easily again.”

Ye Mu leaned against him, half-asleep, and softly replied, “Stop fooling around, I have to work tomorrow.”

Chen Mo buried his face in Ye Mu’s soft hair, his voice muffled, “Even if you don’t promise, it doesn’t matter. Whether you’re working, eating, or sleeping, from now on, wherever you go, I’ll be there. You won’t escape again.”

Ye Mu was so tired that he barely had the energy to speak, but he still retorted, “Stop talking nonsense like that. Don’t forget, last time, it was you who packed your bags and left first.”

Chen Mo held him, his face darkening, “If you hadn’t mentioned breaking up first, would I have left?”

Ye Mu tried to move away from him, but his body ached too much to manage it, so he snapped back, “Just because I said break up, you couldn’t say you disagreed? Do you know how much I wished you’d been more assertive that night!”

Chen Mo was silent for a moment, his Adam’s apple moving as he said, “And do you know how much I wished that night that you’d asked me to stay?”

Ye Mu kept his eyes closed, his voice emotionless and impatient, “Whatever. Can you control that thing of yours?”

It had already been five or six rounds, but it was still standing firm, making him uncomfortable.

Chen Mo pursed his lips, his youthful, shy face showing a hint of embarrassment, “How about we go one more time?”

Ye Mu frowned, unable to hold back a curse.

Chen Mo smirked, looking at him with a teasing glint in his eye, then leaned in to kiss him.

After a bit of cursing, the soft bed quickly started to rock violently again.

The night was still, but it became unbearably hot due to the heavy breathing, making anyone blush.

Just as Ye Mu was losing consciousness, he cursed Chen Mo’s ancestors.

How was he supposed to live from now on?

At this rate, he’d be done in by this guy.
