Disobedient Minister Against Favors Chapter 21

Chapter 21: I Can Wait

<Previous Chapter<Table of Contents>Next Chapter>

“Who said that?! I’m not going anywhere, I can wait!”

Liu Yu Zhen’s heart was racing. Watching his clothes slowly slip off his shoulders under King Yan’s hand while being pinned down was a humiliation, a true insult!

He wasn’t someone who bullied the weak and feared the strong; he simply hadn’t expected King Yan to be so formidable and reliable! Those scars on his body were indeed not to be underestimated.

“You had Ning Xiang call me here; how can you say no now!” King Yan whispered intimately in his ear, the warm breath causing unbearable tickling. “Don’t you want to know what I’ve been doing with Ning Xiang in Peace Pavilion these past few days?”

“I don’t want to know! All I know is that every day these past few days I’ve wanted to beat you up!” Liu Yu Zhen retorted stubbornly.

His body was becoming increasingly uncomfortable. It wasn’t clear if it was the pressure of being under King Yan that was truly so annoying, but no matter how he struggled, he couldn’t break free. Everything returned to the scene of that previous assault.

When King Yan reached out, Liu Yu Zhen thought he was going to touch his face, and immediately showed a look of disgust. However, King Yan carefully wiped away the blood seeping from the corner of his mouth.

This action made him pause, his thoughts turning to that crimson liquid. Unable to resist, he pulled his hand out and wiped the corner of his mouth again, only for the blood to keep flowing out continuously.

“Hurry and take off your clothes! If you delay any longer, you might not hold on much longer,” King Yan urged.

Wasn’t he here to assault him? Could he have misunderstood?

Liu Yu Zhen looked at King Yan in disbelief until the man lifted him into a sitting position and started to undress him again. Only then did he nervously ask, “Why do I still need to take off my clothes?”

“How can I transfer internal energy through clothing? If you don’t want me to save you, you can just lie down and wait to die.”

“I’m not dying!” He quickly took off his clothes while curiously pondering how the ancients transmitted energy. “Wouldn’t it be better to find a doctor? Can you really do it? Internal energy transfer seems quite unreliable.”

King Yan glared at him fiercely, then ripped off the clothes he hadn’t finished removing. A warm hand immediately pressed against Liu Yu Zhen’s back.

His chest burned, feeling as if his heart was melting. The warm current that entered his body from his back continuously circulated, but only the injured areas hurt intensely, while other places brought waves of comfort.

Gradually, he began to find the burning pain in his chest unbearable. Unlike in TV dramas, where people would spit out blood dramatically, he figured King Yan wouldn’t let him bleed all over his bed. Nonetheless, he still felt blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.

A blinding white light instantly overwhelmed his senses, and he passed out.

Having just transmigrated into this severely injured body, he probably wasn’t yet used to it! What King Yan did made him feel like his soul was about to leave his body again.

But he woke up, feeling like he was being pulled back to hell just as he was about to ascend to heaven.

He felt his neck being wet and itchy, as if a water snake was crawling up. Shivering all over, he woke up to find King Yan holding his naked body, kissing and biting him, not treating him as an injured patient at all.

“You, you did this on purpose, didn’t you?! You just knocked me out! Get me a doctor, you bastard!” He pushed the man off forcefully until he saw King Yan’s ferocious wolf-like eyes staring at him. “What are you doing?”

King Yan grabbed his chin arrogantly, saying, “Liu Yu Zhen, remember this—I will never let you die. Unless you hand over my sister, I’ll make sure you suffer in my bed for the rest of your life.” As he spoke, he felt a strange thrill, suspecting Liu Yu Zhen’s identity. If Liu Yu Zhen wasn’t Prime Minister Liu, he could never hand over his sister. Yet, he found this situation somewhat satisfactory. Realizing this thought was unfair to Zhi Jun, he restrained himself.

“You!” Liu Yu Zhen was speechless, eyes wide open. He had seen countless punishments and endured a few, but he had never heard of being humiliated in bed. Feeling both ashamed and angry, he whispered, “Didn’t I tell you I’d find her for you? You’re the one who wouldn’t let me leave.”

“You’re going to find her?” King Yan’s fingers tightened their grip, his defiant face unmasking his anger. “You took Zhi Jun away, and you claim not to know her whereabouts?”

Yu Zhen winced in pain, his face lifted, exposing his smooth neck. For a soldier, this was highly taboo, as it revealed his vital point entirely under the enemy’s control. In a panic, he grabbed King Yan’s hand, unable to pull it away, and then reached for King Yan’s thin undergarments.

Perhaps because of this action, King Yan’s gaze shifted slightly before meeting his again, now with a hint of tenderness.

King Yan leaned down, close to Liu Yu Zhen’s face, and unceremoniously branded his lips with a kiss of authority. “Let’s not discuss Zhi Jun today. I heard…you’ve met with General Qing Lin?”

Liu Yu Zhen felt like a thousand crows were flying through his mind, not registering what King Yan was saying. He wiped his mouth frantically, looking hurt, unaware that this appearance was incredibly endearing and tempting to King Yan.

“The idea to ally with the South was yours?” King Yan, suppressing his desire, focused on the important matters first and continued to ask.

Liu Yu Zhen was stunned for a moment. “Yes, I suggested it. Why?”

King Yan’s stern expression slowly gave way to joy, making him look much better than when he was severe and cold. “You’ve always refused to help Dayan. Why the sudden change of heart?”

“… Did it work?” Liu Yu Zhen blinked his beautiful eyes, asking eagerly. He wasn’t the strategist of the team. Although he had some good ideas, his young age made the captain cautious about following them entirely, so he longed for his strategic decisions to be recognized.

King Yan nodded slightly. “Without losing a single soldier, we befriended the Zhao and threw Yun Shuang and Qin into disarray. If you continue to use your talents for Dayan, I promise I won’t make things difficult for you.”

“Won’t make things difficult for me?” Liu Yu Zhen raised an eyebrow, joyfully saying, “Then get off me!”

“The condition is that you hand over Zhi Jun.” King Yan’s smile was intoxicating. Instead of getting up, he pressed down even lower.

“Didn’t you say we wouldn’t talk about her?!” Liu Yu Zhen was exasperated, struggling desperately against King Yan’s wandering hands, constantly trying to escape off the bed.

But at the mention of “Zhi Jun,” a dangerous signal kept flashing in his mind: Could this girl have been kidnapped?!

Every attempt to crawl away was thwarted by King Yan pulling him back. “Yu Zhen, if you’re willing to help Dayan, I agree to restore your position as Prime Minister. You were originally invited by me from Liu Country to serve as my minister. Now that you no longer resist, you can naturally resume your position.”

“Really?!” Liu Yu Zhen was overjoyed, finally relieved from waiting to rot in this golden cage.

But was this really okay?

Liu Yu Zhen’s smile gradually faded. He realized he couldn’t read the ancient characters well at all, especially those elaborate calligraphic ones. Prime Minister Liu was reputed to be exceptionally gifted and wise, a talent coveted by nations. His own mediocre skills would be a disgrace.

“I don’t want it!” Liu Yu Zhen shouted after concluding his thoughts. “Let me out! I’d rather go find her for you.”

“Even if you want to resume your post now, I won’t let you be involved. This matter will be discussed further when Liu Ling opens up to Dayan,” said King Yan. His feelings were even more conflicted than Liu Yu Zhen’s. If he wasn’t Prime Minister Liu, how could he come up with such strategies to aid Dayan? Could there be another agenda?

This decision aligned perfectly with Liu Yu Zhen’s thoughts. “So, when exactly will Liu Ling leave?”

“What, you can’t bear to see him go?” King Yan’s tone was very ambiguous.

Liu Yu Zhen really couldn’t understand why King Yan could think so crudely about him. He clearly had no interest in men, so why forcefully bend him? But since he guessed King Yan was jealous, he answered naturally to hasten Liuling’s departure—”Heh… yes.”

Sure enough, King Yan’s temper flared up instantly, his whole body seeming to ignite, his gaze fierce and intimidating. “You are becoming more and more disobedient.”
