“……” Xia Yuqing and Feng Tingye’s face changed into 囧 shape. Okay, gates catching on fire, bringing disaster to the pond, there’s no power to resist!

“Wick.. wicked shrew! Ouch….” The envoy from Xia county, currently at the resting stop, was screaming in a sad, shrill manner that pierced through the night sky. It really caused one’s blood to run cold.

Xia Yuqing and Feng Tingye had only just set foot into the rest station entrance when they heard a cry in alarm. Startled, Xia Yuqing retreated back a few steps, falling directly into Feng Tingye’s embrace.

Pacifying the alarmed rabbit in his arms, he lifted his eyebrow and said: “Didn’t you say he was unconscious and might not awake? From the scream Zhen just heard, Zhen can tell that he’s as lively as a tiger.”

The eunuch wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, his heart silently lamenting that the eldest royal prince was clearly awoken because of the pain. Your Majesty can’t just invert right and wrong because the eldest prince’s scream frightening Niang Niang. Someone’s life is at risk! In any case, the other person is a neighboring country’s prince. Even if you don’t like him you can’t show it so obviously!

“You wicked shrew! If there’s any problems with this prince’s leg, this prince… this prince definitely won’t let you off. Aaaghhh…”

On top of a bed with magnificent carvings, a youth with disorganized attire and disheveled hair was sweating profusely. It almost seemed like he had just been fished out of water. Behind him was a delicate youth who held his hand with a worried, pale face.

Wah! So much love! There must be something between them! Look at his adorable pale, bloodless face. Even though they cannot be together under the same sky, this scene just makes people unable to stand on their feet!

In Xia Yuqings eyes this was a harmonious picture, yet in reality, it was actually….

Ugh….. so painful. Royal Elder brother is too strong. If I knew this earlier than I wouldn’t have courted disaster and charged forward! Wait, elder royal brother, what are you doing? That is your royal younger brothers hand!

Everyone’s face couldn’t help but watch the imperial physicians hand head towards Xia Mingyuans leg. There was a press, a pull, and a push, followed by a miserable shriek. Afterward, in front of many eyes, Xia Mingyuan grabbed the nearest person’s, Xia Mingxis’s, hand and bit it: “Ughhh….”

“…..” Everyone stepped back three steps to avoid being splashed by the blood. Spout ~ Ssss.. that looks painful!

“Okay okay, it’s connected now. Luckily, you just pulled a muscle and didn’t injure the bone. After resting a couple of days, you should be fine. Also, for the next couple of days, make sure you don’t do any extreme movements. Otherwise, it’ll get worse and that would be troublesome.” The imperial physician touched his long white beard as he warned.

Hearing that it wasn’t a big deal, the crowd all simultaneously let out a sigh of relief. Good, good, at least he wasn’t paralyzed on one side.

Spitting out Xia Mingxis arm, Xia Mingyuan gasped for breath. His heavy eyelids glared at the not so distant Liu Yixiang who was trying her best to blend in with the background.

Hearing that Xia Mingyuan was fine, Liu Yixiang let out a sigh of relief. Although she wasn’t afraid of the guy, he is still a neighbouring country’s prince. If something really did happen to him, then it would be hard to justify! Since everything was fine, she decided to slip away while she had the chance.

Liu Yixiang looked all around to see everyone preoccupied then silently started to tiptoe away, planning to disappear without notice. Who would have thought that, just when she was about to leave the entrance, her collar would be seized by a certain someone.

“Who dares to grab this lady’s collar! If you don’t want….” Liu Yixiang turned her head in anger to see who had ruined her plan and, unfortunately, saw the one person that she could not disobey. “Royal cousin.”

“Don’t want what?” Feng Tingye smiled, showing off his dimples as he asked.

“Ahahaha, royal cousin you’ve misheard. It’s nothing. Nothing.”

“Liu Yixiang, you shrew. Come over for Beng Gong. You’ve created this mess and now you just want to leave? Don’t think it’ll be that easy.”

Xia Mingyuan was about to explode. Xia Yuqing peeked out from behind Feng Tingye. Flabbergasted, she asked: “Xiang Er, it’s fine for you to cause trouble. But, why would you also ruin your own reputation? This time, they’ll be pointing out your name and coming to your door!”

“……”

  1. Alsheon says:

In the sentence near the end… Who was that, that called themselves “Ben Gong”??? Wasn’t “Ben Gong” reserved for Empress and Imperial Concubines with high statuses? The only one qualified to use that in there was Xia Yuqing as the Concubine with high status (And the only one at that).
But the construct of the sentence was too harsh to be Xia Yuqing and it was directed to her own bff at that. And the next sentence by Xia Yuqing was the opposite of the harsh shrill.

If it was Xia Mingyuan who talked, shouldn’t it be “Ben Wang” instead of “Ben Gong’???

    1. Lazy Girl says:

Hello, yes it is Xia Mingyuan who speaks and yes you are correct that it makes more technical sense to use Ben Wang instead of Ben Gong. With these novels, there tends to be quite a few errors sometimes however since the author wrote Ben Gong, I kept it as is. This is in case there is some metaphorical term going on or maybe if it was intended to be like this. However, it may also be the case that she is using the term loosely for queen, prince, and princess. Sorry for confusions!

    Thank you for the translaion♥
