The ties were pulled, and the chest-high skirt slid down automatically. In a panic, Xueya clutched the skirt, but Yin Qingxuan lifted him and carried him towards the inner chamber. Seeing that their destination seemed to be the bed, Xueya was startled. Was Yin Qingxuan planning to smother him to death with the blanket?
In just a brief moment, Xueya was thrown onto the bed. Ignoring the pain, he immediately tried to get off, but Yin Qingxuan took one step forward and blocked his way. Xueya quickly crawled to the side, hoping to escape through the gap, but once again, Yin Qingxuan stepped in front of him, blocking his path.
After several attempts, Xueya felt like a mouse cornered by a cat. No matter how hard he tried, there was no way out. Looking up at the man standing by the bed, staring down at him, Xueya couldn’t help but ask in sorrow and anger, “What do you want?”
Was he going to toy with him before killing him?
As soon as the words left his mouth, Yin Qingxuan suddenly leaned over, causing Xueya to instinctively retreat. However, Yin Qingxuan grabbed his ankle and yanked him back. In the struggle, the skirt that Xueya was desperately holding onto slid further down, revealing a glimpse of the crimson dudou beneath. Yin Qingxuan paused for a moment upon seeing it, but quickly resumed, pressing down on Xueya’s shoulder, his fingers lifting the delicate strap of the dudou.
This only made Xueya more frantic, and he struggled with all his might to break free from Yin Qingxuan’s grip, kicking out in a panic. He must have landed a blow because he heard Yin Qingxuan grunt in pain, but the next moment, his legs were pinned down.
He saw Yin Qingxuan lower his head.
Warm breath drew near, and Xueya barely had time to turn his head before pain shot through his ear, causing him to tremble. As the pain moved to his neck, Xueya could no longer hold back a cry.
At this point, he didn’t care about the skirt anymore; he only wanted to push Yin Qingxuan away. But his strength was no match, and in his helplessness, Xueya began to flail wildly.
A sudden sharp sound rang out, and Xueya was momentarily stunned. He looked down at his own hand, which was stinging from pain, and then looked up at Yin Qingxuan’s handsome, fair face.
Or rather, half of his fair face, with the other half rapidly turning red from the slap.
He… he had slapped Yin Qingxuan.
Xueya locked eyes with Yin Qingxuan, whose gaze had darkened significantly. Fear froze him in place. It was only when his skirt was torn away that Xueya came to his senses, but it was already too late. He was thrown back to that night in Enji Hall, where it was also Yin Qingxuan bullying him.
No, this time was even worse than that night.
Xueya whimpered and pushed at Yin Qingxuan, but it was no use. His strength couldn’t compare. When his pants were forcefully removed, Xueya broke down and started crying uncontrollably.
Yin Qingxuan, watching the boy beneath him sob in agony, suddenly stopped. His hand paused on Xueya’s smooth skin, like satin under his touch. He stared for a moment, then bit his own finger.
Blood welled from his fingertip, and he pressed the blood onto Xueya’s brow.
Recently, the imperial physicians had spared no expense in tending to Xueya’s body, making his skin even whiter and softer than before. The red mixed with the white, enhancing its delicate beauty, so much so that it made one want to devour him.
Xueya, noticing Yin Qingxuan’s sudden pause, sobbed as he tried to crawl away. But a single arm pulled him back.
Once again in his grip, even his lips were claimed.
The scent of bamboo filled his nostrils—a scent that did not belong to He Xulan. It made Xueya deeply uncomfortable, but he had no way to resist. Even when he tried to bite down, Yin Qingxuan was already prepared. Whenever Xueya attempted it, the hand on his waist would tighten, making him too afraid to try again.
Xueya understood that he couldn’t win against Yin Qingxuan. After all, they had been struggling here for a while now, making quite a commotion, yet no one had come. Yin Qingxuan must have prepared for this. But what did Yin Qingxuan truly want? Was he really going to humiliate him before killing him? Why would he do that? Didn’t Yin Qingxuan love He Xulan?
When Xueya was finally released, he could only gasp for air. When he saw Yin Qingxuan reaching out again, he flinched.
Xueya had struggled so hard earlier that his hair had fallen into disarray, covering his chest and back. Yin Qingxuan gently tucked the stray strands behind Xueya’s ear. Clearly, Xueya didn’t like this gesture, as he shrank back, but there was no place for him to retreat. The wall was right behind him.
Seeing the boy, red-eyed and avoiding his gaze, Yin Qingxuan was silent for a moment before getting out of bed.
Xueya, seeing Yin Qingxuan leave, quickly grabbed the blanket to cover himself. But when he saw Yin Qingxuan searching the chamber rather than leaving, he couldn’t help but speak out, “This is the Empress Dowager’s bedchamber! You can’t touch his things!”
Yin Qingxuan glanced at Xueya, who immediately fell silent, but Yin Qingxuan’s next words nearly made him explode in anger.
“I’ve already touched his person.”
Yin Qingxuan’s voice was calm.
Xueya ground his teeth in frustration, but could only watch as Yin Qingxuan rummaged through the room. He vowed to remember every item Yin Qingxuan tampered with so that, when He Xulan returned, Yin Qingxuan would have to answer for it.
Yin Qingxuan’s search didn’t last long before he spotted a small box in the corner. As soon as he picked it up, hurried footsteps echoed through the chamber.
“That… that’s mine!” Xueya rushed over, flustered as Yin Qingxuan held the box containing his gold. He tried to take it back, but Yin Qingxuan hid the box behind him, sneering, “What’s inside?”
Xueya opened his mouth but said nothing.
Seeing his hesitation, Yin Qingxuan’s voice turned cold. “If you won’t say, then I’ll just take it.”
“It’s… it’s gold! My gold.” Xueya, realizing the gold might be taken, started crying again, staring tearfully at Yin Qingxuan, convinced this was the most hateful person in the world.
Yin Qingxuan shook the box, listening to the sound inside, then asked, “How could a servant have so much gold? You must have stolen it.”
“I didn’t steal it! It’s really mine,” Xueya wept as he tried to grab the box, but Yin Qingxuan just turned in circles, keeping it out of reach.
“You didn’t steal it? Then how do you have so much gold?” Yin Qingxuan asked.
Xueya, unable to get the box back, sobbed as he confessed, “It… it was a gift from the Empress Dowager. I swear, I didn’t steal it.”
Hearing this, Yin Qingxuan set the box down on a nearby chair. Xueya immediately moved to retrieve it, but was stopped by a hand gripping his wrist. Yin Qingxuan was taller than Xueya, so his gaze fell down on him.
Once again meeting Yin Qingxuan’s eyes, Xueya pressed his lips together tightly. He hadn’t forgotten what had happened earlier—Yin Qingxuan’s attempt to smother him with a blanket. When Yin Qingxuan’s hand touched his face, Xueya wanted to push it away but held back. He didn’t dare provoke this hypocritical madman.
Yin Qingxuan wiped away Xueya’s tears and pulled him closer, kissing him briefly. He could feel the boy trembling in his arms but noted that Xueya obediently stopped struggling this time. After a moment, Yin Qingxuan let him go and walked towards the door.
As soon as Xueya was free, he quickly grabbed the box and held it tightly. But with the box secure, his legs gave out, and he collapsed to the floor, where he stayed until Huang Gonggong appeared.
