I, The Substitute, Am With The Main Character Extra 12

In recent days, Xueya’s newly grown tail had transformed back into human form, though his state was already unstable. For the past few days, the eight-tailed fox had been grooming him, and with foxes being naturally lustful creatures, the grooming had triggered Xueya’s first heat unexpectedly.

Xueya had never experienced a heat cycle before, so all his reactions were purely instinctual. With reckless boldness, he pinned the eight-tailed fox beneath him, attempting to perform mating actions. However, since he had no prior experience, he didn’t know the proper way to proceed. All he could do was bite the eight-tailed fox’s neck and raise his hindquarters like a fox would.

After a few awkward motions, Xueya was flipped over.

“Are you courting death!?”

The eight-tailed fox was furious at being disrespected and transformed into human form, grabbing Xueya by the throat. But when the eight-tailed fox changed into human form, Xueya followed suit, though his transformation was unstable. While the eight-tailed fox’s clothes materialized along with the shift, Xueya remained naked, with his fox ears and tail still visible.

In the dim cave, the only light was the soft silver glow of the moon, illuminating the boy’s bare body. The eight-tailed fox’s pupils narrowed as Xueya’s tail wrapped around his arm. With a sharp intake of breath, the eight-tailed fox swiftly retreated from the cave, using a teleportation technique.

Before leaving, the eight-tailed fox sealed the cave with a barrier, leaving Xueya trapped inside. Xueya, overwhelmed by his heat, could only writhe in discomfort, rolling around the cave in helpless agony. Just as he started biting his own tail out of frustration, the barrier was broken.

A figure stepped into the cave, silhouetted by the moonlight. Xueya, already half-delirious, didn’t even notice someone approaching until the person crouched beside him, and the soft fabric of their sleeve brushed against his face. Startled, Xueya slowly regained some awareness and gazed dazedly at the newcomer.

After a while, Xueya spat out his tail and tried to prop himself up on his arms to sit. Unfamiliar with his human form, he failed several times and, in the end, could only stare pitifully with his moist, wide fox-like eyes at the person before him.

The man observed Xueya for a long moment before raising a hand to cast a spell, returning Xueya to his original fox form.

The head of Baohe Temple had a mount named Suanni, capable of traveling a thousand miles in a day. The disciples of the temple, upon hearing Suanni’s distinctive roar, thought they had misheard. But when they glimpsed the massive figure streaking across the clouds, they realized that the temple master had returned earlier than expected.

Usually, after the annual Heroes’ Assembly, the temple master didn’t rush back and would often return after the main group. Why was it different this time?

As the disciples speculated, the young master descended from his mount and glided toward his quarters. He didn’t go to his own room but headed to the one where Xueya usually slept. The moment he entered, his brow furrowed.

The room was a mess—pillows and blankets torn apart, even a table leg was broken. Clearly, this was the work of the fox kept in the demon-capturing bag.

Known for his cleanliness, the temple master couldn’t stay in such a disarrayed room and promptly returned to his own. As soon as he opened the demon-capturing bag, the fox inside pounced at him. The master quickly pinned it down and was about to push it away when the fox suddenly transformed into human form.

Xueya, still suffering from the effects of his heat, was overwhelmed. The extra spiritual energy coursing through him belonged to the temple master, so the moment he smelled the master’s scent, he lost control even more. Instinctively, he transformed into human form, trying to seduce the other.

His attempts at seduction were clumsy, but luckily, spirit foxes were a species favored by the heavens. Not only were they bestowed with beauty, but also with a unique fragrance.

Unlike ordinary foxes, who had strong body odors, spirit foxes had a clean scent. However, once in heat, their bodies emitted an alluring fragrance, designed to tempt others. And when they were actively trying to seduce someone, that fragrance became even stronger.

In just a short time, the room was filled with the intoxicating scent. This time, Xueya had successfully hidden his tail, but his fluffy, snow-white fox ears remained. The temple master watched the ears twitching with each of Xueya’s movements, his eyes narrowing slightly. After a long pause, he reached out and pinched the back of the boy’s neck.

The moment his nape was grabbed, Xueya froze, though his gaze was filled with grievance, and he whimpered lowly, like a mix of pleading and coyness.

The temple master ignored his whimpers and reached for Xueya’s fox ears.

As soon as his ears were touched, Xueya’s face flushed, and the fragrance emanating from his body grew stronger, so much so that the temple master had to release him and open the windows with a spell.

As soon as he let go, Xueya scooted forward.

The temple master paused, his gaze lowering, and the hand that had been pinching the fox ears now gripped them slightly harder. Yet, instead of hearing a cry of pain, there was only an ambiguous moan.

That sound made the temple master’s lips curve slightly. He had a handsome face, not the kind of seductive beauty that Xueya had, but a beauty that kept people at a distance. To most, he seemed like an untouchable celestial being. But this smile carried a hint of wickedness.

“Such a lewd fox,” he muttered, as if scolding Xueya, or maybe just talking to himself.

If it was a scolding, Xueya didn’t hear it. He only wished the master would keep touching his fox ears—or even other places too. And so, he pushed himself forward again.

Finally, those other places were touched.

Xueya couldn’t remember how he ended up in bed, but when his mind cleared a little, the temple master was already wiping his hands clean. At some point, Xueya’s tail had reappeared. Absentmindedly nibbling on it, he crawled forward and laid his head on the master’s lap.

He rubbed his face against the man’s leg, staring up with his fox-like eyes.

After a while, the master finally looked at him. “What do you want?”

“I want more,” Xueya said bluntly, expressing his need.

The master responded by rubbing Xueya’s fox ears again. However, after a few strokes, his hand moved to the tail, starting at the tip and slowly working its way to the base. “You want, and I’ll just give? Who am I to you?”

Both the ears and the tail were sensitive spots for spirit foxes, and Xueya was almost melting under the touch, barely able to think of an answer. But when the master suddenly withdrew his hand, leaving him in discomfort, Xueya panicked, grabbing at the master’s hand.

“Don’t stop, keep going!”

The master’s voice turned cold, “Why should I?”

“Because it feels good.”

“But only for you.”

That remark made Xueya pause, and the next one made him pause even longer.

“And why should I make you feel good?”

“Because…” Xueya struggled for an answer before finally blurting out, “Because you’re my master.”

At the word “master,” the temple master’s gaze settled back on Xueya. He leaned down, his eyes locking onto the boy’s. “How many masters have you had?”

“Just you.” With the two of them so close, Xueya couldn’t resist wrapping his arms around the man’s neck, pressing his face to the other’s cheek. But after a few moments, his arms were pulled away.

“Who am I?” the master asked in a low voice.

Xueya stared at him for a long time, then shook his head.

That shook the master’s expression, turning his gaze ice cold. But Xueya’s next words halted that coldness.

“I only know you’re the master of Baohe Temple. You never told me your name.”

Hearing that, a soft chuckle reached Xueya’s ears.

“He Xulan,” the master said. “That’s my name. Remember it.”

He Xulan…

Xueya repeated the name several times in his mind, and seeing the master’s softened expression, immediately wrapped his arms around his neck again. “Master Xulan, I want to feel good.”

His words were direct, and so were his actions.

The master clearly understood his intentions, but he avoided that place, only playing with the fox tail. “Only you feeling good isn’t fair.”

“Then… then let’s feel good together.” Xueya’s brain was no longer in charge of his words; all he wanted was to feel good.

“Are you sure?” The master’s hand gently stroked the base of his tail.

Xueya nodded eagerly, “I’m sure!”

“No regrets?” The hand moved lower.

“No regrets!” Xueya replied, firm and resolute.

The master sighed softly, his voice laced with a hint of resignation. “Alright then.”

Xueya was overjoyed, though his joy didn’t last long before he started to cry.

“It hurts… I don’t want….”

“I’ll be gentle,” the young man coaxed in a low voice, pulling the fox boy, who was trying to crawl away, back into his arms. He then slipped his finger, which could transmit spiritual energy, into the boy’s tearful mouth. With the spiritual energy, the boy indeed stopped crying. His eyes were still brimming with tears, but he focused on absorbing the energy, only occasionally letting out soft protests.
