Chapter 10: Six Suns (10)
On the livestream platform, the number on the streamer ranking list changed from 500 to 499—one fewer person.
The message board was filled with shock:
“I just went to grab breakfast and feel like I missed the entire world. The instance only started yesterday—who died that fast?”
“It had to be at least a B-level instance, right? No way a C or D-level would kill a streamer on the first day. Does anyone have a link? I want to see what kind of instance is that hard.”
Everyone chimed in at once, talking over each other. There were too many livestreams on the platform, and no one knew which one had disappeared.
Finally, someone couldn’t hold back and posted: “It wasn’t B-level. It was the D-level instance Six Suns.”
“??? Are D-level instance monsters that brutal now?”
“It wasn’t a monster who killed him. It was a newbie. But he was fiercer than any monster—such a viciously beautiful guy, I love him!”
“A newbie? I glanced at his ID photo yesterday. He looked like one of those pretty-but-useless streamers, so I didn’t bother watching. Are you saying he weaponized his looks?”
“No! That’s the biggest misunderstanding about him. He’s genuinely fierce—the kind of fierce that hits right in my heart. I’m not talking to you guys anymore, I’m going back to watch my new husband Jian Dadan, wuwuwu…”
“???”
“Sounds intense. I’m going to check it out.”
“Checking it out +1.”

“This is bad. Something happened!” The Sinister Monster Type whose hearing had mutated shuddered and abruptly opened his eyes. “The living dead got in.”
Jiang Jiu lay sideways in the off-road vehicle and pushed his sunglasses up, speaking casually. “My brother was always careless when doing things. It doesn’t matter if some got in—he’ll block them off in time.”
“No.” The Sinister Monster Type pressed a hand to his aching head. “The living dead have already rushed in and scattered. It’s too late to block them now.”
“Even so, it doesn’t matter. We’re guarding the underground garage. No need to panic.”
Though he spoke calmly, Jiang Jiu’s expression had already darkened. He let out a cold laugh. “I didn’t expect those three to be so troublesome. Even before dying, they had to cause me some inconvenience…”
Before he could finish, the Sinister Monster Type cut him off. “They’re not dead.”
“What?” Jiang Jiu said in surprise. “My brother didn’t kill them?”
The Sinister Monster Type stiffened, his expression complicated.
Jiang Jiu clenched his teeth. “What exactly happened?”
“Jiang Liu seems to have…” The Sinister Monster Type shook his head uncertainly. “I don’t know. You’d better go see what’s happening over there.”
“……”
The calm expression on Jiang Jiu’s face vanished. For some reason, an uneasy feeling rose in his chest.
“Go! Drive straight from the underground garage around to the back entrance!”
When they reached the back entrance, they could already see from afar a massive wave of living dead pouring endlessly into the cinema.
The scene was horrifying.
Jiang Jiu’s face turned extremely grim. He had spent an entire day and night clearing out this cinema. It had only been completely secured at dawn. Who would have thought that by morning, the defenses would already be breached?
Once one point fell, everything fell.
Their base of operations had essentially been wiped out. They couldn’t stay here any longer. They had to leave immediately, drive away, find a new building, and rebuild another base.
That would consume tremendous energy and manpower again. All the effort he had poured in yesterday had been wasted!
At the thought of this, Jiang Jiu felt a suffocating rage build up in his chest.
Ever since awakening as a Sinister Spirit Type, he had never suffered such humiliation. Once he regrouped with Jiang Liu, he would make those three regret ever being born.
With that thought, Jiang Jiu’s mood steadied slightly. Somewhat impatient, he asked, “You said my brother was here. Where is he?”
“Over there.”
“Where?” Jiang Jiu looked forward, confused.
Passing through the corridor into the side hall, there was nothing there except bloodstains and fragments of human heads and flesh scattered across the floor…
Wait—fragments of flesh?
Jiang Jiu’s entire body trembled. In disbelief, he said, “You mean…”
The Sinister Monster Type nodded, not knowing what to say.
Jiang Jiu’s eyes instantly turned bloodshot. He nearly roared as he jumped out of the vehicle and began searching through the torn flesh for Jiang Liu.
“How could this happen? How is this possible?!”
He found Jiang Liu’s body, ripped to shreds, yet he still couldn’t believe it. He kept shaking his head and roaring in fury.
Seeing that he had completely lost his rationality, the Sinister Monster Type instinctively stepped farther away and said, “I found a note. It looks like they left it behind. Do you want to hear it?”
“…Read it.”
Jiang Jiu trembled violently, blood surging through his body. He was clearly enraged to the extreme; veins bulged on his forehead.
The Sinister Monster Type edged even farther away before speaking. “It says—Jiang Jiu, right? We heard you’ve always wanted to join the livestream team but never managed to get in. That’s too pitiful. So we took the liberty of freeing up a spot for you.”
Jiang Jiu’s face turned ashen, his heart spasming painfully from rage.
A spot?
Did they mean they had killed his brother?!
With Jiang Liu dead, the livestream team did indeed have one vacant position. But this kind of vacancy was nothing but humiliation to him!
The Sinister Monster Type continued, “It also says… it also says…”
“Says what?!”
“It says you don’t need to thank them. It was only right.”
“…………”
Jiang Jiu’s vision went black from fury. Under the horrified gaze of the Sinister Monster Type, he suddenly vomited a mouthful of bright red blood.
This was the ultimate humiliation—an unforgivable disgrace!
“They must still be inside the cinema. Find them! I want them to pay with their lives for my brother!!!”

In the underground parking lot, a group of native residents were sweating as they pushed a large cargo truck.
The three of them blended in among the crowd without drawing any attention.
“You two were really ruthless. Absolutely ruthless.”
Even though dozens of minutes had already passed, the shock in Young Master Xue’s heart still had not faded.
“Fatty, that note you wrote was practically murder without drawing blood. And Jian Dadan—when you’re attacked from both sides, it’s better to just pull out and let them ‘internally digest’ the mess themselves.” He mimicked what Jian Yuntai had whispered in his ear earlier, then sighed in admiration. “It was the first time I realized the phrase ‘internal digestion’ could actually be used like that!”

Jian Yuntai’s livestream felt as lively as New Year’s.
“Holy crap, hahaha—‘Bad Wifey’? Are you serious? How many times did you guys spam that? You actually turned it into a title! I’m dying at Jian Dadan’s expression.”
“I could practically see a bunch of question marks popping up over Jian Dadan’s head. I really wanted to know what he was thinking right now, hahaha.”
“He was probably thinking, what’s wrong with girls nowadays? Taking off their pants across the internet, hahaha…”
The viewers who had come over from the message board were stunned when they saw the screen filled with ‘wife’ comments. Was an eighteen-year-old really that charming?
They secretly mocked those people for being inexperienced country bumpkins and continued watching the stream with disdain written all over their faces.
On the other side, Li Wei climbed into the driver’s seat with a long sigh.
Ever since the sun had been launched, the temperature across the entire city had skyrocketed. The people pushing vehicles were nearly dehydrated to death, yet they still had to keep pushing under the threats of those superpowered individuals.
Originally, he should have been one of them. But for some reason, he had become unusually heat-resistant. Temperatures that were fatal to ordinary people felt merely tolerable to him.
There were two other people in the garage like him.
The superpowered individuals seemed to know something had changed in his body and had generously allowed him to sit inside the vehicle to guard it.
He was just about to open his glass cup for a drink when an icy hand suddenly clasped the back of his neck. Li Wei jumped in fright.
“Who’s there?!”
He immediately moved to open the door and run, but a hoarse, low male voice sounded beside his ear. “Are you sure you want to do that?”
Li Wei’s throat tightened, and cold sweat instantly poured down his back.
He glanced at the rearview mirror. In the back seat sat a delicate, handsome young man with refined features, a sly smile flickering in his eyes.
Beside him sat a ferocious-looking Fatty and a mixed-race male model with striking, fashionable features.
The tension in Li Wei’s heart eased slightly.
Phew… thank goodness it was the young man kidnapping him and not the other two. Someone so young probably wouldn’t actually go through with it—he was just trying to scare him. And even if he did want to make a move, he would have to think twice. After all, Li Wei was a very strong man.
Just as Li Wei let out a breath of relief, he saw the young man reach out and grasp his glass cup.
Crack—
As easily as crushing a cookie, the thick glass shattered into fragments in his hand.
Li Wei’s eyes went wide at the sight.
“If you make any sound,” the young man said, picking up a shard and pressing its sharpest edge against Li Wei’s chin, his tone still light with a smile, “I’ll use this piece of glass to slice open your throat. I’ll deliberately avoid the major artery, so after your throat is cut, you’ll still linger for about two minutes…”
Li Wei trembled all over, his face drained of all color. The livestream audience stared at the screen without blinking. Even the viewers who had been disdainful earlier now found themselves holding their breath, astonishment written plainly across their faces.
“…During those two minutes, I’ll use the bottom of the cup to catch the blood flowing from your throat and feed it back to you. Don’t worry—my hands are steady. Not a single drop will go to waste.”
Seeing that Li Wei was on the verge of crying from sheer terror, Jian Yuntai finally dropped the act and spoke gently. “But if you don’t make a sound and do exactly as I say, then none of what I just described will happen. Do you understand?”
“…!” Li Wei burst into tears and nodded frantically.
“Good boy.”
Jian Yuntai patted his head and ordered, “Now drive. Get us out of this hellhole!”
Almost on reflex, Li Wei slammed his foot on the accelerator. The armored truck roared forward, barreling straight through the hall. The crowd screamed and scattered in panic; the entire garage descended into chaos as if a zombie horde had invaded. In the distance, the superpowered individuals he feared sprinted after them, only to shrink into tiny black dots, left far behind the truck, their faces twisted with unwilling frustration.
With a thunderous crash, the truck smashed through the garage door.
Then it sped off into the distance.
Only then did the livestream viewers snap back to their senses. The bullet comments refreshed so quickly that the stream even began to lag.
“Damn, good thing my hands were fast—I screen-recorded my wife~”
“What? Don’t you have a wife of your own? Why are you stealing mine?!”
“Sisters, how much did you drink to get this drunk? If you call him wife again, I’m getting mad. Jian Dadan will have to come comfort me.”
“Hahaha, please put your pants back on before you talk!”
【Congratulations on obtaining the title ‘Bad Wifey’ once again.】
“Hm?” Jian Yuntai’s expression turned strange.
Fatty asked, “What’s wrong?”
For the first time in a long while, a crack appeared in Jian Yuntai’s usually calm expression. After an unprecedented moment of hesitation, he said, “I think my livestream got crossed with someone else’s channel. The platform put another female streamer’s title on me.”
“A female streamer?” Fatty and Young Master Xue both perked up, excited and curious. “What title?”
“Wi—cough…” Jian Yuntai’s ears turned slightly red. He truly could not bring himself to say it. “Forget it. Pretend I didn’t say anything. The platform will probably remove the title soon and return it to its rightful owner.”
Seeing him like this, the livestream went even crazier.
The old viewers charged in. The new viewers charged in. Even the gossipers from the message board threw away their earlier disdain, completely won over, and willingly embraced this belated joy.
Thousands of words in the barrage merged into one single sentence: “Sisters, keep spamming! He’s blushing—so cute!!!”
