My Nemesis Has Finally Gone Bankrupt Chapter 80

Chapter 80:

The young boy in school uniform sat down in his seat. He had stayed up last night, and finally managed to grab tickets right in the center.

He nervously looked around.

Today, he must… he must give his first kiss to his girlfriend! He couldn’t just stick to pecking her on the cheek anymore!

The two seats next to the girl were empty until the ads finished, and still no one took them.

Movies like this usually don’t have people missing the beginning. The owner of this seat is very likely not coming.

The timing! The location! The people!

The boy had even figured out how to angle his kiss!

As the movie started, the girl leaned over to him and whispered, “Who’s this?”

“XX Hero!” the boy hurriedly explained, “He’s the rich guy who was originally dead but then came back to life!”

The girl seemed to understand somewhat and nodded.

The boy’s heart was pounding, and his mind kept screaming—

Now’s the perfect moment! Just do it!

Summoning up his courage, he turned abruptly, gently pressing down on the girl’s head.

But then he froze.

Two tall men were slightly bent over, walking towards them from the aisle.

They were both wearing masks, and to his shock, it was the two men who had just been flirting with his girlfriend outside!

Among them, the man with the fierce look walked at the front, unexpectedly locking eyes with him. Seeing his action, the man disdainfully looked away.

The girl, with her head being pressed down, confusedly looked at him, “What are you doing?”

The boy, young and thin-skinned, immediately blushed and let go, stammering, “….N-nothing, your hair got some popcorn on it.”

Ji Ran wasn’t interested in such small romances, so he only glanced at them before looking away.

Their tall figures, even if slightly bent, still blocked the view of the person behind them. He heard a faint “tsk” from the back row.

Inadvertently, he looked up and happened to meet the eyes of Qin Man’s homeroom teacher.

“…”

Seeing him slow down, Qin Man was about to remind him of their seat numbers when the person in front suddenly reached out and grabbed him, swiftly sitting down as if fleeing for his life.

“You’re damn good at picking seats…” whispered Ji Ran, covering his mouth. Qin Man raised an eyebrow, “What’s wrong?”

“Your homeroom teacher is sitting right behind us!”

Qin Man subconsciously tried to turn his head, but was forcefully stopped.

“No turning back!”

This rare teacher has always treated Qin Man as her own son, even back when they were in school, she almost wanted to take him home to raise him. Ji Ran felt that even with a mask on, she couldn’t shake off her deep maternal love for Qin Man.

The boy on the other side couldn’t help but glance towards them.

Why was he so unlucky? With these two around, he didn’t dare to move too much.

And… were they really wearing masks to watch the movie??

Ji Ran was somewhat interested in the movie. After warning the person next to him not to cause trouble, he settled into a comfortable position to watch the movie.

The teacher had brought her own son, who looked to be about six or seven years old and was in the movie theater assassin phase.

Ji Ran was engrossed in the movie when he suddenly felt someone kick his seat hard.

One reason he liked going to private cinemas was because there was no noise and no children.

The whole chair shook with the force, prompting Ji Ran to instinctively turn his head and say, “You…”

“Sorry,” the teacher apologized, holding her son, “Kids can be a handful. I’ll make sure he behaves. Sorry for the disturbance…”

But she stopped mid-sentence.

Through the light of the movie screen, she could see the person in front of her… hair.

It was a shade of green she was very familiar with.

This color had appeared on the stage of the small auditorium at her former school not too long ago, and a few words had led to a major shake-up in the school administration.

Upon seeing the teacher’s gaze, Ji Ran immediately sensed something was amiss. He quickly lowered his voice, muttered a “It’s okay,” and then turned his head away, instinctively grabbing onto Qin Man’s sleeve.

Qin Man suppressed a smile and leaned towards him.

“You’re wearing a mask, what are you afraid of? She won’t recognize you.”

This was the first time Ji Ran regretted dyeing his hair this color.

“Nonsense! My hair stands out too much…” He controlled his volume, “Don’t you dare turn around. She only needs one glance to recognize you.”

“How exaggerated.”

“It’s exactly like that!” Feeling the gaze of the person behind him still lingering, Ji Ran was unusually nervous. “Once I just glanced at the fifth floor, and she caught me. She even came up to warn me not to harass you. You are her real son, right? Did you switch seats with the kid behind?”

Qin Man’s top-tier class was located on the top floor of the teaching building, which was the fifth floor.

“Why were you looking at the fifth floor?” Qin Man’s focus was completely off, “Were you spying on me again?”

“…Get lost.”

As the movie reached its midpoint, Ji Ran’s chair suffered yet another inhumane assault.

Listening to the teacher endlessly apologizing behind him, Ji Ran didn’t even turn his head, pretending not to hear.

Finally, the movie reached its climax.

The protagonist sacrificed himself to save the Earth, bidding farewell to his wife with tears in her eyes.

Hearing his girlfriend’s crying, the boy thought it was time.

In his plan, the climax of the movie was the perfect moment for a kiss. If everything went according to plan, he should now pass a tissue to his girlfriend, then comfort her by pulling her close to his shoulder, and finally, give her a kiss.

It was all set up perfectly.

In the movie, the protagonist’s wife lovingly kissed his face.

The boy made up his mind—now was the time! If not now, then when?!

He turned his head to make sure the people sitting beside his girlfriend weren’t paying attention before making his move.

At that moment, he froze.

Not far away, the two older boys had removed their masks.

The one sitting on the outer edge was now standing up, leaning over the other person, with one hand gripping the other’s mask and pulling it downwards.

Even in the dim light, their features were merged together, and it was clear what they were doing without needing a closer look.

Feeling his gaze, the girl asked in confusion, “What’s wrong…”

Before she could follow his line of sight, she was stopped by her boyfriend, who held her face in his hands.

“N-nothing… Just, uh, do you need a tissue?” His voice was filled with shock and he stumbled over his words.

On the other side, even Ji Ran was startled. He pushed Qin Man’s chin with his hand, afraid to make a sound but also hesitant to apply too much force.

At first, afraid of touching the girl next to him, he leaned his whole body towards Qin Man, providing him with the perfect opportunity.

It was a quick kiss; as the scene on the movie screen changed, Qin Man removed his mask.

Ji Ran was taken aback by the sudden kiss. “Damn it… Shit,” he looked around nervously. “Did anyone see us?!”

Once he was sure no one was watching them, Ji Ran breathed a sigh of relief and then mercilessly punched Qin Man’s thigh.

“What are you doing?!” Qin Man winced from the pain but didn’t cry out. He leaned in close to Ji Ran’s ear and whispered, “I feel like we’re having a teenage romance.”

“…”

“It’s rare for us to have a date, and our class teacher is sitting behind us.”

“…”

“With that in mind, I couldn’t resist,” Qin Man chuckled softly. “I just really wanted to kiss you.”

“…” Ji Ran blushed and muttered, “You idiot,” before shaking his hand and pulling his mask back into place.

His heart raced, especially with the film’s sound effects pounding in his ears.

Initially, he hadn’t thought much of it, but Qin Man’s words set his mind racing.

…Teenage romance.

If he and Qin Man were in a teenage romance, they would probably kiss in an empty classroom.

They might exchange a glance when they accidentally met somewhere in school, then sneakily hold hands as they passed each other.

Perhaps he wouldn’t be so eager to skip class anymore. He wouldn’t hide in a restroom somewhere during flag-raising ceremonies to secretly listen to Qin Man’s speeches on the radio. Instead, he’d stand proudly beneath the flagpole, making eye contact with Qin Man on the stage.

He’d even summon the boy who confessed his feelings to Qin Man in the little grove for a man-to-man conversation.

He and Qin Man could even stay in that nearby motel where ID wasn’t required—

Ji Ran immediately stopped himself, afraid to continue that train of thought, his face flushing hotly.

When he snapped out of it, the lights in the theater suddenly came on—the movie had ended.

He blinked in confusion.

“Wait… What about the movie’s ending? Did the main character come back to life? How did the boss die??”

Qin Man turned to him and noticed his flushed face. “Why is your face so red…”

Before Qin Man could finish his sentence, Ji Ran stood up abruptly, grabbed his wrist, and pulled him towards the exit.

“Wait…” The teacher called out from behind.

Ji Ran quickened his pace, and the two of them practically speed-walked out of the theater, as if in a race, all the way through the cinema’s entrance.

Once they were in the car, Ji Ran let out a sigh of relief. He removed his mask and adjusted the car’s air conditioning vents to blow air on his face.

“That was close,” Qin Man said calmly, smiling. “We almost got caught by the teacher.”

Ji Ran pretended to be calm as he started the car. “Are you addicted to acting now?”

On the way home, Qin Man looked out the window and suddenly said, “Just now, when I saw that couple, I was reminded of you.”

Ji Ran raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”

“Remembering how you looked in your school uniform,” Qin Man said, a smirk playing on his lips. “Why did you always buy such oversized uniforms?”

Ji Ran hadn’t expected him to notice that too. “They’re comfortable… What’s it to you?”

That night, Qin Man finished showering and lay in bed, texting with Liu Chen.

They had secured the piece of land they were eyeing and had also managed to contact some former employees. Now all that was left was to go through with the registration process. While Liu Chen had been updating him on the progress over the past few days, he was actually subtly urging him to expedite the procedures.

He replied briefly with a couple of sentences, about to open the spreadsheet Liu Chen had sent him, when he heard a click, and the bathroom door swung open.

He instinctively looked up, freezing in his tracks at the sight.

Ji Ran usually finished his shower and lounged in just his boxers, but today he was dressed impeccably.

He was wearing… a full high school uniform.

The green and white combination, looking utterly outdated, yet somehow this person managed to make it look fresh and spirited.

Caught under his gaze, Ji Ran stood there with his hands in his pockets, the posture of a typical delinquent, his voice lacking confidence: “What are you staring at?”

Qin Man’s Adam’s apple bobbed slightly: “Aren’t you just dressing up for me?”

Damn.

So embarrassing.

Better to just forget it.

“…I just… felt like… damn it…” Ji Ran’s neck flushed red; even he couldn’t convince himself with that excuse. He turned around. “I’ll go change…”

Before he could step into the bathroom, Qin Man was already off the bed, pressing him against the wall, initiating a hot and impatient kiss.

Tonight, both of them were unusually enthusiastic.

It had been too long since they had such intimate contact, and now Ji Ran was wearing this outfit.

From the wall to the bed, their entanglement continued.

Originally, Qin Man was on top, but Ji Ran suddenly remembered something, wrapping his arms around his neck and forcefully changing positions.

“You shouldn’t use your right hand.” He sat on top of him, breathing heavily, “I’ll take care of it myself.”

Just as Qin Man was about to say something, he suddenly made a discovery—

Ji Ran had actually prepared something in the bathroom himself.

At the same time, Ji Ran seemed to remember something too, taking out a small bottle from his pocket that had already been opened and was covered in Japanese writing, casually tossing it onto the carpet.

Qin Man felt like a volcano erupting, struggling to breathe, wanting nothing more than to lock this person onto himself and meld together for the rest of their lives.

Ji Ran remained in his school uniform shirt throughout.

By the end, Ji Ran was completely drained of energy, his face, ears, and the skin beneath his collar all flushed red.

Finally, Qin Man grabbed onto his school uniform.

“Junior…” In the darkness, his intense gaze bore into him, his voice husky, tinged with urgency and ambiguity.

“Give me a kiss,” Qin Man said.

“…You charged me 280 for notes in one subject and now you have the nerve to ask for a kiss?” Ji Ran retorted.

Qin Man chuckled. Before he could say anything else, he saw the person before him blush and obediently lean down, offering him a kiss.
