Chapter 201: The Pomegranate is Sweet

Yuwen Chu’s face flushed, his eyes half-closed, he suddenly kissed Mingzhu, his hand pressing against the back of her head.

He wasn’t afraid of her spitting it out!

Mingzhu, in a panic, opened her mouth to spit it out, but instead of spitting it out, most of the pomegranate in her mouth was sucked away. Although she still felt there was too much, it didn’t affect her ability to chew and swallow it. Because Yuwen Chu quickly let go, she realized that spitting it out would make her look very uncouth and disgusting, and she would lose face compared to Jiang Shanshan! So she changed her mind and chewed the pomegranate in her mouth fiercely, grinding it to pieces.

Yuwen Chu chewed the pomegranate slowly with her, watching her quietly with a smile, and didn’t spit out the pomegranate seeds. He swallowed them with a hoarse voice and said, “Wangfei, you’re becoming more virtuous and kind-hearted. You actually came up with such a wonderful idea. I really like this feeding method. It’s much better than golden spoons, silver spoons, crystal spoons, or ivory chopsticks.”

Dreaming, aren’t you? Mingzhu gave him a disdainful glance, wanting to swallow all the pomegranate seeds like him, but she couldn’t swallow them, so she had to twist her body to spit them out. The porcelain plate was a bit far from her, just a little bit, and she wanted to go over, but she was tightly held back by Yuwen Chu, so she could only glare at him with her eyes.

Yuwen Chu suddenly realized, “Wangfei wants to spit out the pomegranate seeds?” His posture seemed to imply that if she didn’t answer him, he would keep holding her.

Helpless, Mingzhu could only let out a barely audible and unwilling “Mm” from her nose.

“It’s very simple.” Yuwen Chu embraced her, effortlessly sitting up and lifting her towards the porcelain dish. With his movement, he inadvertently brushed against a certain area on her waist twice, causing all the hairs on Mingzhu’s body to stand on end. A strange and indescribable feeling permeated her bones, making her feel uneasy all over.

Angry, she glared at him, but Yuwen Chu innocently smiled at her as if nothing had happened, appearing calm and generous, as if the previous incident had been unintentional.

Mingzhu sighed inwardly, knowing that with someone of his perverse and lascivious nature, he was probably waiting for her to confront him about the matter. She didn’t have as thick skin as him, nor was she as shameless. Arguing about this matter would only make her lose out. It might be better to keep quiet for now and seek revenge later. So she ignored his little gesture and calmly spat out a pomegranate seed, then rinsed her mouth with a sip of tea.

Unexpectedly, the matter wasn’t over yet. Yuwen Chu suddenly pulled her into his arms, tightly wrapping his arms around her waist and pressing against that area. He whispered softly in her ear, “This is called the Guanyin sitting on a lotus.”

Mingzhu didn’t understand what Guanyin sitting on a lotus meant, but she knew that no pearls of wisdom would come from a dog’s mouth. She suddenly exerted force, pushing him downwards, and grabbed his face, pulling it hard twice. With a wicked smile, she said, “This is called picking and collecting a noble!”

Yuwen Chu suddenly drew in a sharp breath, his grip on Mingzhu’s waist tightening, as he silently stared at her. His gaze and expression inexplicably made Mingzhu’s heart skip a beat, her throat tightening, and breathing becoming difficult. Clutching her heart, she awkwardly withdrew her hand from his face, ready to slip away. “Just kidding with Your Highness.”

However, Yuwen Chu firmly held onto her waist, his grip becoming stronger.

Mingzhu started to feel afraid, knowing what this meant. She had ignited the fire in Yuwen Chu’s heart. She leaned closer, trying to please him, and softly pleaded, “I’m hungry.”

“I’m hungry too.” Yuwen Chu’s voice was low and hoarse, as if it contained countless fluffy feathers, tickling the ears and making the whole body tingle.

“Shall we go eat something?” Mingzhu smoothly changed the subject, hoping to make Yuwen Chu forget about what just happened.

“I don’t want to eat right now, I just want to eat you.” Yuwen Chu released one hand from her and stroked her cheek, while the other hand still tightly gripped Mingzhu’s waist. This made Mingzhu feel like there was a restless beast inside her, ready to leap out and harm both herself and others at any moment.

“No, I’m really starving.” She lowered her head, naturally avoiding the hand that Yuwen Chu had placed on her cheek. Then, she stubbornly crawled over to him, rolling over until she reached the other end of the carriage, keeping a distance of two people’s width from Yuwen Chu.

Yuwen Chu chuckled softly, straightened up, and tapped on the carriage wall, instructing the coachman, “Faster.” As if the little incident just now had never happened, he regained his elegant composure.

Mingzhu couldn’t help but feel indignant. This feeling was difficult to put into words, but she definitely felt it. She thought he would insist as he had done before, but unexpectedly, he let go easily, leaving her feeling somewhat lost.

Bah! She inwardly scolded herself. How could she feel lost about this? Wasn’t she happy that he let her go? It must be Yuwen Chu who was abnormal, and she had spent too much time with him, so she was becoming abnormal too. No, she had to keep her distance from him, otherwise, wouldn’t the next time be even more abnormal?

With these thoughts in mind, Mingzhu pretended to look out the window on the other side, refusing to come over. She didn’t even glance at the bowl of pomegranate seeds he had peeled for her, resisting the temptation.

Yuwen Chu didn’t call her over either, calmly eating the pomegranate seeds, elegantly spitting out the juice-soaked seeds into the white porcelain dish. Finally, he sighed contentedly, “Indeed, fruits freshly picked from the tree are the sweetest and freshest.”

Hmph, she wouldn’t respond to him. Mingzhu was very angry, although she wasn’t entirely sure why. She just felt very angry. The main reason was probably because he had taken her to Jiang Shanshan’s shop and talked to that pretty girl under the pomegranate tree for so long. But what made her even angrier was that she had felt somewhat disappointed just now!!!

“We’ve arrived.” Su Lan lifted the carriage curtain, and Wei Tiande cheerfully brought over a footstool. Yuwen Chu got off the carriage first, then turned around to offer his hand to Mingzhu. Mingzhu glanced at him, noticing that his lips seemed particularly rosy, perhaps stained by the pomegranate juice. Were they as sweet as the pomegranate juice?

This sudden thought startled her, and she almost didn’t want to put her hand in Yuwen Chu’s. But before she could react, Yuwen Chu quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her forward. As she stumbled forward, he effortlessly scooped her up into his arms and chuckled softly, “Madam, you’re always so careless.”
