Chapter 318: Ghost

Longsheng Great Eldest Princess picked up a glass of wine, poured it into her mouth with a fierce look, and stared fiercely at Mingzhu. Little brat, who hadn’t even grown all her yellow hair, dared to challenge her! Don’t give her a chance, or she would definitely kill this ignorant brat!
Mingzhu noticed the malicious gaze of Longsheng Great Eldest Princess but didn’t care. She was still immersed in intoxication and confusion. Yuwen Chu was almost like those magicians! The Ying Wang Mansion was so far from the Great Eldest Princess’s mansion, and the hot and fragrant dishes were not just sent here with insulation. She suspected that Yuwen Chu had built a temporary kitchen near the princess’s mansion and had the newly hired chefs come over early to prepare for this moment.
It was a flawless plan. Yuwen Chu had already guessed Longsheng Great Eldest Princess’s reaction, so he made these arrangements in time. Mingzhu didn’t know why Yuwen Chu had such a big grudge against Longsheng Great Eldest Princess. It was completely different from his usual discreet behavior. But it was so satisfying!
If there was a place to roll around, Mingzhu would definitely roll around several times to commemorate her joy and satisfaction. Marrying a wealthy and powerful husband wasn’t enough to be proud of; having a husband who was knowledgeable and considerate, willing to spend money and support his wife, that was true pride. Mingzhu smiled, feeling extremely content as she ate and drank, finding it extremely enjoyable.
Madam Min stared resentfully at Mingzhu’s every move, her eyes seeming to want to shoot fire. She was about to say some bad things about Mingzhu to Longsheng Great Eldest Princess when suddenly she felt her stomach cramping, which she couldn’t bear. She was scared and quickly stood up to apologize, “I need to change.”
Longsheng Great Eldest Princess was planning how to deal with Mingzhu, so she didn’t pay attention to her at all. She just waved her hand and said, “Go, go.”
Madam Min’s stomach was cramping severely, thundering like thunder. She was afraid of being heard by others but couldn’t help it. She didn’t care about anything else and just desperately walked forward, urging the servant guiding her, “Faster, faster, even faster.”
The toilet of the princess’s mansion was separated from the banquet area by a courtyard. The surroundings were lush with trees, and the inside of the room was filled with incense and fresh flowers. Madam Min had no intention of admiring it and just hurried inside to solve the problem. However, she hastily lifted her skirt with the help of her maids and was about to squat on the toilet when suddenly a girl in red appeared from the dark corner of the toilet. She had disheveled hair and a white face, her small face was beautiful, but there was a bloody scar from her left cheek to her right cheek, with flesh and blood flipped out, still dripping blood.
The girl grinned eerily, “Madam, long time no see. I missed you underground. When will you come to accompany me?”
“Ghost!” The maid screamed and ran out of the toilet throwing away Madam Min.
Madam Min trembled, pointing at the girl and said sharply, “Who dares to play tricks…”
The girl approached, cold hands squeezing her neck. Sinisterly, she said, “Try to see if I’m a ghost or not…”
Madam Min’s face turned purple instantly, shouting, “Help!” With feces and urine flowing out, she fell backward, collapsing inside the toilet.
The maids guarding outside the toilet heard something wrong and saw Madam Min’s maid running out of it like crazy. They quickly called someone to check inside. There was no ghost, only Madam Min lying on the ground, her skirt soaked with filth, and a foul smell filling the air, even good incense couldn’t cover it up.
Everyone looked at each other in surprise, whispering for a moment. They didn’t dare to move Madam Min easily but left some people to guard her while others went to inform the people from the Min family and tell Longsheng Great Eldest Princess.
Li Quanxin’s work was indeed efficient, and the new chefs recently recruited into the mansion were really good. Mingzhu was enjoying herself. Her dishes were far more delicious than those of others’ banquet dishes. Seeing her eating with such gusto, Hua Yang Wangfei couldn’t help but poke her arm and ask in a low voice, “Is it really that delicious?”
Mingzhu sincerely handed over a bowl of seafood soup to her, saying, “Try it, and you’ll know.”
Hua Yang Wangfei hesitantly scooped a spoonful and tasted it, then her eyes lit up, “It’s delicious…”
The concubine of Fu Wang also wanted to join in, but she felt embarrassed, so she asked, “Was this soup simmered for a long time? I suppose the ingredients used are extraordinary?”
“I don’t know, I just eat.” Mingzhu was still smiling when she heard a commotion ahead. Several people stopped to look, only to see Min Baoyun and her sister-in-law getting up from their seats, accompanied by a few servants, running out in a state of panic. Shortly after, Longsheng Great Eldest Princess also got up from her seat.
“What’s happening?” The concubine of Fu Wang was very curious. She waved someone over and discreetly handed them a small silver ingot to help inquire. Because her status was different from the legitimate wives, she put extra effort into interpersonal relationships. The servants from various mansions liked to run errands for her, so she quickly received news and quietly told Mingzhu and others, “It’s said that Madam Min encountered a ghost while in the restroom. She’s currently unconscious in the outhouse. They say gold and silver all came out, which scared her to death.”
“Gold and silver all came out” was a euphemistic term for bodily waste. But in this situation, with Madam Min’s status, even if it was described with pearls and gems, it would still be utterly embarrassing.
“What kind of ghost?” Mingzhu recalled the girl she brought in and asked with a guilty conscience, “How could there be ghosts in broad daylight?”
Hua Yang Wangfei didn’t know what was bothering her, so she responded coldly, “Who knows? Maybe she’s done too many wrong things.”
However, the concubine of Fu Wang took it very seriously. She took out another silver ingot and sent someone to inquire again, then solemnly answered Mingzhu’s question, “I heard it’s a female ghost, wearing red clothes, without feet, with hair two zhang long, and a tongue one chi long. Also, her face was hacked to a pulp with a knife, very frightening! They say someone maliciously impersonated it, but the people from Wangfei’s mansion searched everywhere and found no trace.”
Everyone marveled at this and said, since it was a ghost, of course, it would come and go without a trace. How could there be any evidence to find?
Mingzhu played with the golden spoon in her hand, feeling that things weren’t over yet. How could it be so simple to scare a lady like that?
Suddenly, Min Baoyun rushed over aggressively, pointing at her and accusing, “Fu Mingzhu! Speak straightforwardly, was it you who did this?”
Mingzhu blinked, puzzled, “What are you talking about? What did I do?”
Min Baoyun’s face was still streaked with tears, trembling as she said, “Did you send someone to impersonate a ghost and scare my mother? You’re so vicious!”
