Chapter 570: Sunbathing the Moon

It’s said that men can be drained, but I’ve never heard of women being drained. Yuwen Chu chuckled lightly, “Don’t worry, I have plenty of energy left.” He pretended to be pitiful, “I’ve endured it for so long, can’t you endure for a while?”
Mingzhu felt helpless and decided that no matter how busy she was in the future, she would work hard to exercise her body. Let’s see who can outlast whom!
After tossing around for a long time, Mingzhu collapsed on the bed and couldn’t move, while Yuwen Chu laid beside her contentedly, smirking, “You have such poor stamina!”
Mingzhu glared at him, “Try lying down for a month. Won’t all your muscles become loose?” She added, “I’m already doing pretty well. You dare to complain.”
Yuwen Chu reached out to pinch her flesh, “Loose? Why don’t I feel that? I think it’s even better now, soft and smooth, very comfortable.”
Mingzhu was annoyed, “Stop laughing at me! I’ll get back to being slim!”
Yuwen Chu saw her red face and knew she was genuinely concerned, so he hugged her and whispered, “I really think it’s fine, even better than before.”
This gave Mingzhu some comfort. She asked, somewhat disbelievingly, “Really?”
Yuwen Chu chuckled softly, “Whether it’s true or not, you can tell from my actions, right? I even want to go again, what do you say?”
Mingzhu fled in embarrassment, “Forget it! I want to live.”
Yuwen Chu laughed heartily, got up leisurely to dress and bathe, preparing to fill his stomach. Mingzhu had personally cooked, and it would be a waste if those dishes went cold. He had to eat them to justify Mingzhu’s efforts.
Mingzhu struggled to finish bathing and put on clothes. She laid down on the bed, not even wanting to move her fingertips. She couldn’t understand how Yuwen Chu had so much energy after such a long time of activities.
Seeing her exhausted and frustrated, Yuwen Chu couldn’t help but find it amusing. He picked up a piece of braised rabbit meat and urged her to open her mouth, “Here, let me feed you.”
Mingzhu hesitated, then shook her head vigorously, “I don’t want to eat meat. I want to get thin again.”
Yuwen Chu ordered her sternly, “Open your mouth! You must eat! Otherwise, we’ll go again!”
Eating a piece of meat for another round, what kind of concept was that? Mingzhu reluctantly opened her mouth. Alright, the braised rabbit meat was indeed delicious, and her cooking skills were quite good (even though she was just following the chef’s instructions, but she did it herself!).
Yuwen Chu saw her eating and fed her a spoonful of stir-fried loofah, insisting she drink soup, and then brought over a bowl of rice, “Eat, you must finish it all, or we’ll go again.”
Encountering the bully who planted silver coins, she felt she couldn’t bear it anymore. Mingzhu decided to give up and finished the bowl of rice. She even ate several pieces of meat in a row. Well, just eating a little more of this meal wouldn’t make her gain weight, right?
Seeing her determinedly finishing her meal, Yuwen Chu smiled contentedly, “You don’t have to do this. It’s okay to gain a little weight. Big chest, round waist, being healthy is the most important thing. I won’t allow you to starve yourself just to get slim again, otherwise, just wait and see what I’ll do to you.”
“Big chest, round waist?” Mingzhu’s eyes filled with tears of gratitude. “Your Highness, if I become so fat that I can’t find my waist and my eyes squint into slits, will you still accept me?”
Yuwen Chu glanced at her, “Would you let yourself become like that? Such hypothetical questions, I won’t answer.”
Mingzhu pinched him, “You must answer!”
Yuwen Chu sighed, “Alright, if you really become that fat, I’ll help you lose weight again.”
Mingzhu looked at him with eyes that seemed to say, “See, I knew you were just talking, if I really were like that, you would despise me.”
Yuwen Chu affectionately pinched her eyelids, “What kind of look is that? Whether you’re chubby or slim, it’s all for your own good. I want you to be healthy and moderate. Can you be healthy when you’re that fat?”
Mingzhu spoke seriously, “But, if Your Highness were to become a big fatty one day, I wouldn’t despise you. I would take care of you and support you.”
Yuwen Chu’s smile faded, and he said very seriously, “If one day I become like that, please make sure to force me to watch my diet. I want to live a few more years.”
Mingzhu pouted, ignoring him. She was confessing to him, and he responded like this, completely missing the point. Doesn’t he understand what it means to express love?
Yuwen Chu hugged her close and whispered affectionately, “I want to live longer, spend more time with you, take care of you. I’m several years older than you, so I have to live seriously.”
Mingzhu’s nose turned sour, and she pushed him away, “Stop trying to move me! I’m not one of your subordinates, I don’t need you to coax me like this.” She wanted to say some sweet words to make him happy, but she ended up being moved by him instead. What was this?
Yuwen Chu helped her up with a smile, “Come on, let’s eat and drink our fill. The moonlight is great tonight. Let’s take a walk in the courtyard and aid digestion.”
Mingzhu tried to sink lower, refusing to move, “I don’t want to go, I’m too tired. I don’t want to take a single step, just want to lie down.”
“Then let’s go outside to enjoy the moonlight and cool breeze.” Yuwen Chu was quite pleased with himself. He ordered Su Lan and the others to set up a pavilion and soft couches outside, then lifted Mingzhu into the pavilion. They laid side by side on the couch, gazing at the moon and stars, speaking softly.
Outside the pavilion, insects chirped, the night breeze rustled, the fragrance of gardenias wafted in the air, mosquitoes couldn’t fly in, and the stars and moon seemed close yet far away. There were only the two of them between heaven and earth, quiet and comfortable.
Pointing to the Vega star in the sky, Mingzhu said, “That’s the Vega star.”
Yuwen Chu just replied with an “oh” and left it at that.
The play didn’t go as Mingzhu had imagined, so she had to remind him, “Your Highness, where’s the Altair star? My eyesight isn’t good, I can’t find it.”
Yuwen Chu said, “I can’t find it either.”
Was this really okay? Mingzhu pouted, turned away from him, and thought to herself, how could someone who knows about stars like him say he can’t find the Altair star? Who is he trying to fool? This is too much! He just uses people up and then ignores them.
Yuwen Chu smiled, embraced her from behind, and rested his chin in the nape of her neck, whispering softly, “I don’t want to be the Cowherd or the Weaver Girl. I want to be with you forever.”
Well, when it came to sweet talk, Yuwen Chu was leagues ahead of her. Mingzhu grumbled, “I won’t play these tricks with you anymore. They don’t sound as nice as yours anyway.”
After a moment of silence, Yuwen Chu said, “If you know you’re not good at it, then you need to practice more. You can’t give up on yourself. I’ll teach you in the future. Say three sweet things every day, and in a year or two, you’ll be really good at it. If it’s still not good enough, then keep practicing. After five years, ten years, you’ll surely be great.”
