Han Fei looked at Qi Yue’s dark, heartbroken little face and couldn’t help finding it funny. What was wrong with this little guy again? Had he “tasted” some strange ability from the food? He was curious, yesterday when he himself awakened the ice ability, Qi Yue had shown the same expression, yet still hadn’t told him what his own ability was.
“What ability did you get from eating?”
Qi Yue pouted listlessly, his eyes foggy with sadness. His mouth opened and closed again and again, trembling for a long time before finally producing a sound.
“…I can smell that the person who lived in this room before had body odor.”
After saying that, his pout grew even bigger.
Han Fei tried to hold it in. He really did. But he couldn’t, he burst into laughter. So Qi Yue’s ability was… tracking?
Qi Yue saw Han Fei’s reaction and instantly wanted to slap him across the face, but he didn’t dare.
D*mn it! He cursed himself, why did he think of slapping instead of punching? So useless. Even when imagining fighting, he used such “delicate” moves.
Envy! Jealousy! Hatred!! Reality was too cruel. All he wanted was a combat ability, is that so wrong? Was it wrong to want to become stronger? Qi Yue didn’t know what was happening to him; after living life after life, instead of becoming stronger, he seemed to be getting weaker each time. The only benefit was that he looked younger and younger, now people often treated him like a minor. Correspondingly, his mentality also became more childish. Whenever he was upset, he’d pout, just like now.
Seeing Qi Yue droop his head and silently eat, Han Fei narrowed his eyes and ate even more happily. He savored each bite. Qi Yue cooked like a master chef. The fragrance lingered, just like the person who made it, leaving people wanting more.
Qi Yue looked up and saw Han Fei’s savoring expression and felt even more defeated. Without his mind-reading ability, wanting to know what others were thinking but being unable to was torture.
After finishing dinner without tasting it at all, he quietly washed the dishes using Han Fei’s water ability. Then Qi Yue crawled into bed, turned his back to Han Fei, pulled the blanket over his head, thought about his sad fate, and slowly drifted to sleep.
Han Fei, meanwhile, took a large tub from his space, filled it with water using the pot Qi Yue had left by the wall, heated it with his fire ability, and took a hot bath first. Then he heated another tubful of water and went to wake Qi Yue.
Qi Yue was sound asleep. No matter how Han Fei called him, he only let out a few sleepy grunts and refused to get up. Han Fei thought for a moment, then stepped forward and unbuttoned Qi Yue’s shirt. He removed the outer layer, then the inner one, revealing pale, smooth skin and a slender waist.
Then he reached for Qi Yue’s pants, loosened the belt, undid the button, and pulled down the zipper. Han Fei felt a mixture of expectation and impatience, no one had ever made him work this hard before.
As he pulled the pants down and saw the faint outline beneath the thin fabric underneath, a stream of heat rushed from his nose.
D*mn! He actually got a nosebleed just from this. It must be because he hadn’t let off steam for too long, otherwise, with all his experience, how could he get stimulated this easily?
He stripped Qi Yue completely and carried the smooth, limp boy toward the bath, lowering him into the hot water.
The moment the warm water surrounded him, Qi Yue shivered violently and woke with a start. He almost jumped out of the tub, standing there confused for a few seconds before realizing, he was naked!
He yelped, hurriedly covering himself and turning around, cursing Han Fei for taking advantage of him while he was asleep.
Han Fei looked at Qi Yue’s turned back, round, soft curves and licked his lips. He stripped off his own clothes and entered the tub as well.
Feeling the warmth behind him, Qi Yue’s heart pounded wildly. Then Han Fei’s hands wrapped around his waist, pulling him tightly into his embrace. Han Fei’s body was too hot, Qi Yue kept wriggling, trying to break free.
“Move again, and I’ll take you right here.”
Qi Yue immediately froze. Satisfied, Han Fei held the quiet little figure in his arms and helped him wash, gently pouring water over his skin.
The water eventually cooled. Though reluctant, Han Fei got out, he couldn’t let little Yue catch a cold. From his space, he took out fresh clothes, scooped the exhausted Qi Yue up, and laid him on the bed. Pressing close, he kissed his flushed face and lightly licked at his skin.
“Be good, Little Yue. Put on your clothes, you’ll get cold.” Han Fei murmured into his ear, causing Qi Yue to tremble.
Later, while washing his hands, Qi Yue quietly cursed Han Fei, this shameless scoundrel had even grabbed his hand to make him “help him out.” Truly disgusting. Absolutely brazen. Nothing but hormones in his brain!
But what annoyed him more was that he had actually gone along with it for a moment of heat-headed foolishness. So humiliating. And even worse, he should’ve been the one on top! He was the gong! Yet he had been pinned beneath Han Fei, touched all over. Next time he absolutely couldn’t let that happen again.
That night, at Qi Yue’s insistence, he held Han Fei in his arms to sleep. No point sleeping separately now, they had already crossed every line.
In the morning, the two ate breakfast and set out. The weather was still weird, scorching in the day like summer, freezing at night like winter. It was already the twentieth day after the apocalypse began.
The frozen storage plant was in the outskirts of Nantong. It had backup generators, hopefully still working; even if someone had been here before, without space abilities they wouldn’t be able to take much. There should still be plenty left inside.
Before departing, they checked their weapons and ammo again. Han Fei’s food was packed. When they approached the facility, they saw a large group of zombies gathered at the gate, clearly drawn here by someone trying to get inside before.
There were too many zombies; they had to draw them away in batches. Qi Yue drove to lure them apart, while Han Fei eliminated them with his now high-tier level 2 ability. After several runs, they finally cleared the area.
Qi Yue stored the car in his space and began digging out crystal cores. Han Fei ate to replenish his energy. Just then, a few cars approached from the distance.
D*mn it! Really? They had to come now, after all the zombies were already cleared?
Qi Yue narrowed his eyes—one car, two, three, four.
Four cars. Quite a number of people. And those cars looked familiar, Qi Yue almost laughed aloud.
Han Fei sensed Qi Yue’s mood and looked at him.
Qi Yue raised his brow. Before Han Fei could ask, he said, “Those cars are mine.” The two of them were surprisingly in sync.
Oh? Qi Yue’s cars? Interesting.
The cars stopped beside them. The doors opened, and several people got out. Leading them was Tang Ke’s classmate, the sunny, cheerful senior Liao Feifan. Beside him was the sociable girl Du Mengyao. The fat and thin security guards were also there, as well as that “Brother Zhou.”
“Little July, it really is you! I thought you looked familiar from the car, what a coincidence! What are you doing here?” As expected, the girl chattered nonstop.
“Qi Yue, what a fate. I never got the chance to thank you,” Senior Feifan said warmly. “We escaped Yicheng thanks to the car you gave us.”
“No need for thanks, I didn’t need it,” Qi Yue replied coldly.
The group didn’t mind his indifference. “You’re here for supplies too?” Feifan then turned to Han Fei, smiling. The man beside Qi Yue had a powerful aura, strong spiritual presence. Teaming up with him would be a huge advantage.
“Mn,” Han Fei replied.
“Then let’s cooperate. Everyone keeps what they take. If there’s danger, we have enough people to help.”
“Mn.” Han Fei didn’t mind sharing a portion. He led Qi Yue into the cold storage.
The fat security guard spat, “Who do they think they are…”
Feifan said, “Don’t provoke them. The man with Qi Yue isn’t ordinary.”
Inside, the temperature difference was huge so the generator was still working. The cold storage was large and filled with meat products. Qi Yue watched the surroundings; Han Fei stored only the packaged items into his space, anything unwrapped might’ve been touched by zombies.
Bang! After finishing off a zombie hiding in the corner, Qi Yue said, “They’ve come in. Let’s go deeper.”
“Mn.” The inner area stored seafood; Han Fei had already taken a large portion of the outer meat but left some to avoid suspicion.
The deeper they went, the quieter it became. Han Fei gestured for Qi Yue to be careful, he sensed an unusual spiritual pressure ahead. Likely a high-level zombie.
