Rebirth in the Apocalypse: The Peach Blossom Debt Chapter 46

Yan Bin looked Qi Yue up and down, very much the air of a beautiful young man. He had already heard that Han Fei had a pretty newly recruited little underling following him. So it was this one, right? But this appearance didn’t look like a little underling, more like a new pet Han Fei was keeping? Tsk tsk tsk, that temper really was quite terrible!

Qi Yue was wrapped in anger and didn’t notice at all that the two cars that had collided were identical in appearance and model. Through the front windshield, he had already seen a few people sitting inside. Since the sky was still quite dark, he hadn’t really noticed what these people looked like.

Anyway, these people were way too arrogant, actually pretending to be dead in the car! If this had been in the past, he would already have followed the principle of “the less trouble the better” and kept quiet. But now it was different. He had a mafia boss as his backing!

In the black welded-hummer with its body dented from the crash, the underling sitting in the front passenger seat turned to look at his boss.

Yan Bin gave a slight lift of his chin toward the person in front. Two underlings immediately understood and got out of the car.

The people in the other cars, seeing the people getting out of this one, also got out one after another. All dressed in black, they stood respectfully and neatly to the side.

From the car Qi Yue had been slapping earlier, two men over 185cm tall in black clothes got out. They were broad and fierce-looking, and on their bare arms, large tattoos could be seen.

The moment he saw the people getting out, Qi Yue jumped in fright and immediately felt a bit regretful. In a complete reversal from his earlier arrogance, he suddenly felt a bit deflated. There were so many of them.

Looking at the newcomers who were all a head taller than him, Qi Yue took a few deep breaths, but the other party didn’t give him any chance to speak. They stepped up and with a clean, swift movement, pinned his arm behind his back and pressed him onto the hood of the car he had just been hitting.

Another man in black came to the side of the car, bent down, opened the front door, and called respectfully: “Brother Fei, Brother Bin is waiting for you in the car.”

Han Fei looked at Qi Yue and rubbed his forehead. Nobody had ever dared to curse Yan Bin to his face before, not anyone alive anyway. Qi Yue was probably the first.

He spoke at a volume that everyone nearby could hear: “Don’t hurt him.”

He climbed out of the car and walked over to the other one.

Lin Yuze also got out and looked over at the people on that side. He could tell these people were with Han Fei, so they shouldn’t harm Qi Yue.

The man in black twisted Qi Yue’s arm and dragged him over to the car. The back door was already open.

Qi Yue struggled but couldn’t break free from that grip. He thought angrily, like a bull, seriously, the lower the IQ, the greater the strength.

A shadow fell over his head. He looked up. At least 190cm tall, wearing black trousers, shirt sleeves rolled up exposing firm muscles, oh, and topped with a human-faced-dog-like face.

Qi Yue narrowed his eyes. It was him! Truly enemies fated to meet on a narrow road!

Tch, just one look and you could tell he wasn’t anything good. No wonder he was tangled up with that woman. Dogs of a kind! All these years, there were two people he hated most: one was him, the other was that man’s wife. He didn’t even bother to disguise it, his face full of disgust as he turned his head away, refusing to look at him.

No matter how sharp the other’s gaze was as it fixed on him, he refused to lose in presence. Hmph! Show-off! He wasn’t afraid of him!!

Yan Bin’s expression grew cold, his brows tightening. He found it somewhat amusing, this kid actually wasn’t afraid of him. Interesting.

Did this boy have a grudge against him? This was their first meeting, wasn’t it? Why the attitude? Tilting his head, he thought about it. Yes, it was an attitude of disgust.

Han Fei walked over and said to the person twisting Qi Yue’s arm: “Let him go.”

Then, looking at Yan Bin who was staring at Qi Yue, he said: “I’m fine. Why did you come? Who’s watching things over there?” He hadn’t expected Yan Bin to come personally. He wondered who was overseeing the base now.

Han Fei and Yan Bin were only a year apart. He rarely called him “older brother.” When they were young and he wanted a favor, he would occasionally say it, but as adults, almost never. Their relationship was very close, family by blood, friends of many years, and brothers who had relied on each other in life-and-death situations.

“En, as long as you’re fine. Yu Xing is there.” Yan Bin looked at Han Fei.

Han Fei nodded. Yu Xing was the glasses-wearing guy who drove with him. He was calm and reliable.

Yan Bin pointed his chin in Qi Yue’s direction. “Where’d you pick this one up? Temper’s pretty big.”

Han Fei looked at Qi Yue’s bristling expression and said with a laugh: “Picked him up on the road. Don’t you think he’s cute like this?”

Raised brows. Picked up? Was he that generous? Cute? Yan Bin tilted his head and studied Han Fei’s expression, thoughtful. Han Fei was always flamboyant and never treated his toys with particular care. But this pampering attitude, seemed this boy was something special.

The man in black released Qi Yue’s arm. The moment Qi Yue was free, he darted to Han Fei’s side and demanded: “Who is he?” His eyes slanted toward Yan Bin, full of unspoken meaning.

Han Fei was a bit surprised. Qi Yue was usually… well, at least somewhat polite. He hadn’t expected Yan Bin to be this disliked.

“Didn’t I tell you? My cousin, Yan Bin.” As he spoke, he took Qi Yue’s hand to check his wrist. En, not red.

Qi Yue raised his voice in disbelief: “What? He’s your cousin?”

Han Fei nodded: “En, that’s right.”

Qi Yue’s lips twitched. He let out a “tch” and said nothing more. If he kept talking, he wouldn’t be able to stop himself from saying unpleasant things.

Lin Yuze walked over with a questioning look toward Qi Yue. Qi Yue turned and forced a small smile at him.

The smile on Han Fei’s face immediately dropped.

These different reactions from the three of them… Yan Bin glanced deeply at the handsome, silent youth who had just walked over. What was with these people?

“Get in the car, then talk,” Yan Bin said.

The other underlings understood and got in their cars, ready to depart at any time.

Han Fei came back to his senses and looked at the two crashed cars. “Switch cars.” He then stored both cars into his space, and took out an ultra-luxury extended hummer car.

Ah, looking at the luxury car before him, space was truly awesome! So cool! Qi Yue sighed.

What a pity, Han Fei’s cousin was actually someone he detested deeply!! So conflicted. He couldn’t bear to leave Han Fei’s space, but he hated Yan Bin. What to do?

“Get in,” Han Fei nudged the dazed Qi Yue.

Seeing Yan Bin getting in first, Qi Yue said with disgust: “I’ll sit in the original car with Lin Yuze. You go sit in that one.”

Han Fei immediately wrapped an arm around Qi Yue and said intimately: “Don’t fuss. Just get in first, okay?”

Qi Yue grabbed Lin Yuze and asked: “What about him?”

Han Fei frowned. “He’s coming too.” Qi Yue was throwing a small tantrum, better to go along with him. Han Fei did still prefer seeing him obedient.

Qi Yue looked up at Lin Yuze. Lin Yuze shrugged to show he had no objection, so Qi Yue finally nodded: “Fine.”

Seeing Qi Yue needing Lin Yuze’s approval, Han Fei felt a bit unhappy.

As if in warning, he tightened his arm around Qi Yue and pulled him toward the car.

Seeing Han Fei’s arm on his shoulder, Qi Yue instantly showed an expression of realization—oh, right, these two hadn’t made up yet.

Qi Yue had already calculated all the seating options. With such a long car, if he sat in the front, he’d be closer to that person, which he didn’t like. If he sat in the back, he’d be in more danger if zombies showed up.

After getting in, he plopped himself right into the middle row. So comfortable.

The car was very spacious: four pairs of twin seats, more comfortable than a sofa. There was even a tea table with red wine on it.

Qi Yue occupied an entire pair of seats by himself. Lin Yuze sat in the back row.

Han Fei got in last and sat next to him, the two beginning to talk.

Yan Bin first talked about the situation at the base and various places, then asked about Han Fei’s journey and the supplies he had gathered in his space.

His brows furrowed as he massaged his forehead. Headache.

That boy’s stare, had he provoked him before? Yan Bin tried to ignore the contemptuous looks Qi Yue kept shooting his way and continued speaking to Han Fei about the syndicate, explaining the forces he currently controlled.

Qi Yue shifted and moved around in his seat. So comfortable. This was his first time riding in such an expensive car. In the apocalypse, he had never seen anyone driving something so impressive. He lay back, wow, it was so spacious. His eyes wandered all around the interior.

Everything was great except one of the people inside was extremely displeasing to him.

He tried to ignore the sound of the other person talking. But when he heard him mention abilities, Qi Yue couldn’t hold back anymore, his mouth let out a loud “tch.” Foresight? Bullsh*t!!

The sound was clear in the car. He wasn’t afraid! No one could scare him! He completely forgot how that man’s underlings had pinned him to the hood earlier.

Yan Bin heard the “tch.” His words paused a moment before he continued.

Han Fei genuinely hadn’t expected Yan Bin to have dual abilities and one of them was foresight.

“They told you, right? My ability.” Seeing Han Fei’s lack of surprise when he took the car out earlier, Yan Bin knew he had guessed.

“En. Do you lack anything?” Han Fei asked. Yan Bin nodded. He had already heard, including about that beautiful boy’s unusual ability.

“Firearms,” Han Fei said directly. That was their most critical need now, they needed a large quantity of weapons.

“There’s a military base nearby. We’ll go check it out.” That was also one of Yan Bin’s purposes for coming, this fallen military base.

“Okay. Do you have a map of it?” After so many years working together, Han Fei knew exactly what he was thinking.

“En, I have one.” Everything was prepared long ago. Only Han Fei was missing.

Han Fei suggested: “It’s only early morning. If we detour, we won’t reach until afternoon. How about going tomorrow? It’s not safe at night.”

Yan Bin nodded. He had thought about it. “We’ll head over first, rest nearby for the night, have someone investigate the inside, and go in tomorrow.”

“Okay.” Han Fei agreed readily.

He turned to look at Qi Yue, who was already asleep on the seat. His body arched slightly, mouth softly snoring, sleeping sweetly.
