The Cutest in the Galaxy Chapter 32

The break lasted until the morning of the fourth day. Rong Shao knocked over the sand pile he’d been building and suddenly stood up. “We can’t keep being this degenerate.”

Su Cha glanced at him and responded with an “oh.” Then, using four watermelons, he hired a team of senior students to give them a lesson.

That’s right—lessons.

The seniors had actual combat experience and were quite knowledgeable about strange beasts, including survival skills in the wild.

“You must be very careful with this type of creature.” The senior who was teaching held up an image that looked like a cactus.

Su Cha squinted at it. “It looks like one, but it’s not a cactus.”

The senior nodded approvingly. “It’s called an Immortal Jump*.”
* slang for a scam or setup.

“…” Are you serious with that name?

“Many people, desperate from thirst, think to drink its juices. If you’ve got spiritual power shielding, it won’t kill you—but it will cause hallucinations.”

Each hired speaker talked for over ten minutes, so the whole session took more than an hour. Su Cha and his teammates learned a lot.

Two hours after the lesson ended, Su Cha suddenly stood up. “This won’t do. If we keep this up, we’ll lose our fighting spirit.”

Everyone stared at him silently. Had he…changed?

Su Cha hadn’t changed personalities—he had noticed that not a single person had come to buy anything all morning. Their team’s ranking had already dropped to fifth place.

C-Zone was too dangerous to operate in. After finally spotting a passing team, Su Cha reluctantly used more supplies to hire someone to escort them back to E-Zone.

The “Mini-mart” looked like it was ready to hustle again, and the officials even temporarily removed their location marker from the map.

Su Cha saw this and laughed. “They’re actually cooperating.”

Rong Shao said quietly, “Well, if they don’t, what if someone runs to the Investigation Department to file a complaint and ends up passing out at their door?”

He said it in such a low voice that it wasn’t picked up by the cameras, but it hit the Investigation Department’s deputy chief right in the feels. In their files, Su Cha had already been labeled as “Fainting Sheep”—someone who could pass out at the drop of a hat.

No matter what, the “He’s Here” team was now seriously preparing to grind.

After more than a day of rest, the energy fluid worked even better than expected. Di Yuansi’s arm recovered at an incredible speed, and the wound on Wu Shui’s forehead had faded to a faint scar. It wouldn’t be long before it vanished entirely.

Ji Tianjin was actually the most seriously injured among them—his spirit form couldn’t recover quickly.

Rong Shao suggested, “Why not stick to our previous strategy? One team stays to run the stall, and the other goes out.”

Ji Tianjin answered in a low voice, “That works.”

Although his spirit form was injured, his personal combat skills were still top-tier, so he naturally joined the hunting team. In the end, Su Cha and the Wu siblings stayed behind, while the others went off to hunt beasts.

Before they left, Su Cha said to Ji Tianjin, “Why don’t you leave your spirit form with me?”

He had some healing ability that might help the white tiger recover.

Ji Tianjin didn’t hesitate for long. He left his spirit form behind and set out with the others to hunt beasts.

As the “kids left behind,” the Wu siblings couldn’t slack off with peace of mind. They kept pacing back and forth.

Seeing this, Su Cha clicked his tongue. “Laziness requires talent—and a strong psychological constitution.”

You had to not hold others back, and not aim too high.

He felt he was doing pretty well in that respect. He waved at Ji Tianjin’s spirit form—the white tiger padded over and laid down beside him.

Su Cha reached out. “Hello.”

The white tiger lazily put a paw on his hand.

That obedient?

Su Cha’s eyes lit up. A spirit form was connected to its master’s will, but it also had subtle differences. For instance, intelligence—spirit forms could never be as smart as their masters. They only carried a portion of the master’s consciousness.

The white tiger was fierce, battle-savvy, and unafraid of death—traits inherited from Ji Tianjin. But compared to its master, it was more straightforward and easier to please.

This friendliness wasn’t strange. Back at the hospital, even during a brief encounter, the white tiger had nearly whisked Su Cha away. Now that they were teammates, of course the tiger didn’t resist him.

Su Cha carefully reached out to touch it. It felt solid, and its fur was smoother and stiffer than expected.

He wanted to heal it, but once he tried, he realized that even after awakening, cleansing an S-level spirit form cost far more energy than it gave back.

Seeing the tiger’s battle-scarred body, the still-missing tail—it didn’t sit right with him. A bold idea suddenly sprang to mind. He gathered a bit of spiritual energy in his palm and offered it to the tiger.

Just a tiny amount—probably weaker than a candle flame, just to be safe. spirit forms normally rejected any spiritual power that wasn’t their master’s. But when Su Cha did this, the white tiger opened its mouth and swallowed the energy whole. Then, with its big head, it comfortably rested on Su Cha’s arm.

Wu Zhi witnessed this and was shocked.

Before his mouth could form an “O” of surprise, Su Cha spoke up: “My spiritual power is very gentle.”

The commentator was also explaining this development.

“As of now, contestant Su Cha’s spiritual power seems to have low attack power but extremely high adaptability.”

Summer of Summer: [Does this mean he could share his power with others?]

Gazing at the Moon: [Exactly. Maybe it’s not super useful on himself, but it could enhance others’ abilities.]

They hadn’t even dug deep enough. Due to Galan’s naturally combative nature, people instinctively focused on how to use power. But this “sharing” ability alone already earned Su Cha the title of Treasure Boy.

In just a few moments, Su Cha had already fallen in love with feeding energy.

The white tiger was just too well-behaved. When it rested on him, it even seemed careful not to crush him fully.

Wu Shui, busy juicing watermelons, glanced over and grew suspicious that the spirit form might be pretending to act cute just to score more energy snacks.

“Don’t spoil him too much,” she said earnestly.

When have feline animals ever been honest?

Su Cha lowered his head and looked into the white tiger’s eyes. The tiger blinked once.

“Mm…” Su Cha couldn’t help but pull it into his arms. “What can I say? I cave when someone’s soft, not hard.”

No one could resist petting a docile tiger.

And so, for most of the day, he fed the white tiger bit by bit. The tiger accepted every offering of spiritual energy delivered to its mouth without hesitation.

“You can’t eat any more.”

Like a pet spoiled by grandparents, the white tiger had puffed up like a balloon.

It stared at him for a few seconds, then without warning, its body shrank several times smaller. From a majestic beast, it transformed into a tiny kitten. It gestured for Su Cha to lie down, then began kneading his back with its paws—giving him a massage.

“…” Is this really Ji Tianjin’s spirit form?

It was being so obedient, Su Cha wasn’t sure how to feel.

“No, you’ll ruin your health.”

The kitten suddenly ran out, stomped hard on the sand, and caused a small sand slope to collapse. At the same time, its size shrank again.

Su Cha watched and had a sudden thought: “You can store up the energy?”

The kitten nodded vigorously.

Once he confirmed it wouldn’t harm the tiger’s body, Su Cha returned to spoiling it without restraint.

On the other side, the hunting squad had traveled far from their base. After the influx of senior students into Zone E, it had become increasingly difficult to find decent strange beasts. Until the sun began to set, they’d only managed to take down three.

But hard work paid off. After pushing forward for another stretch, the pathfinding robot Rong Shao had built during a break finally proved useful—it successfully located a target.

With the little robot leading the way, the group crested a large sand dune, only to run into another team before even seeing the strange beast.

Enemies met on a narrow path—it just so happened to be the current first-place team. One of its members was a prodigy the Jero Academy had dug up from a remote planet this year.

Even from the spiritual pressure he emitted, it was clear this team’s top ranking was thanks to him—surpassing even the second-place “Cold Winter” team.

“Wu Bei,” the commentator had mentioned him during the preliminaries. Rong Shao still remembered his name.

But Wu Bei was staring at Ji Tianjin. The other boy’s lips were pressed into a pale, tight line—clearly wounded. Wu Bei realized this was a chance. If they could wear Ji Tianjin down now, “He’s Here” squad wouldn’t be able to keep up their point-scoring momentum. It was a chance to eliminate a threat.

Just as he was about to act on this idea, Rong Shao spoke up: “Careful—we might spend our nutrient packs to hire people for revenge.”

Wu Bei sneered. In the vast desert, who would waste time hunting someone down?

Ji Tianjin said lightly: “We’ll call backup now.”

Like a magician, Rong Shao pulled out a huge loudspeaker. Modified by him, the amplification was excellent.

Wu Bei’s calm expression flickered. Ji Tianjin was supposed to be the stoic, low-key type—or so the rumors went. But now he seemed a little different.

“Captain, forget it,” a teammate said. If we both take damage, there’s no gain for us either.

Ji Tianjin ignored him and kept moving forward with the robot, toward the target.

Seeing that Wu Bei hadn’t retreated, Liu Xiqin didn’t join the hunt. She stood nearby to make sure their kill wouldn’t get stolen.

“Relax, we’re not that shameless,” Wu Bei said. He just wanted to observe their coordination and combat.

Ji Tianjin’s hand-to-hand skills were sharp and clean—decisive and efficient. He could control his internal power to concentrate at the joints and adapt on the fly.

Setting aside their rivalry, Wu Bei had to admit—this guy was strong. After Ji Tianjin decapitated the beast, Wu Bei commented objectively: “If you had your spirit form with you, you’d probably have finished even faster.”

Ji Tianjin didn’t respond. He glanced at the team’s scoreboard—catching up to first place was out of the question. Even the sixth-place team was biting at their heels. One misstep and they could fall behind.

Suddenly, a strange flapping sound came on the wind—some kind of bird, maybe.

Rong Shao pulled out an enhanced binocular and climbed a dune for a better view. A moment later, he cursed: “Sh*t. A beast migration.”

Just as the senior students fled to Zone E, now the strange beasts were migrating too—especially the ones from the more dangerous zones who had been repeatedly beaten down by elite squads.

Ji Tianjin: “Which direction?”

“Southeast—and toward us.”

Su Cha’s group was also southeast.

The smart terminal allowed for video calls between teammates. Ji Tianjin tried calling Su Cha.

No signal interference—the call connected quickly. In the interstellar age, calls had an immersive, real-time quality.

It was Su Cha’s first time receiving such a call. He found it novel. “What’s up?”

“A herd of strange beasts is migrating in your direction.”

As soon as Ji Tianjin finished speaking, Su Cha immediately jumped onto their cart. Wu Shui started packing their gear, and Wu Zhi began pushing the cart at full speed. Their movements flowed smoothly—they evacuated their camp from the desert in minutes.

The call ended abruptly. Ji Tianjin seemed to catch a fleeting glimpse of something white and chubby following behind Su Cha…

Weird. Why did it look… familiar?

Su Cha is a flower demon. After completing his term of service, the system agrees to grant him a new life as a universally adored favorite. “I carefully chose a place for you. The species that live there are known for their brutality, but their birthrate for offspring is extremely low—every cub is a treasured being they would protect with their lives.” “Your new identity is a rare and precious cub.” However, an error occurred during the teleportation process, and Su Cha was sent to another planet: Galan Star. Completely unaware of the mistake, Su Cha assumes he’s living out his beloved group-pampering script and stops a passing iron-blooded general leading his troops. With a gentle smile, Su Cha hints madly: The cub is here—hurry and pamper me to death! The people of Galan Star are born without a sense of smell, are cold-blooded and warlike, and hate weak things the most. Until one day, they smelled the fragrance of a flower. “!!!” Fog Star and Galan Star are scheduled for a cultural exchange, shocking the galaxy. But within a day, the "exchange" escalates into military confrontation. It’s said that the war started over a single cub. The system, having finally fixed the teleportation program, rushes back to find its old partner—only to see countless warships floating in the sky, with war on the verge of eruption. The system is horrified: “What happened?!” Su Cha gives a weak smile: “Don’t ask. If you must know—it’s a Star Wars situation.”  “……” Note: This story starts off as a lighthearted coming-of-age tale with a satisfying and refreshing tone. The protagonist (shou) appears gentle but is cunning underneath.
