Jian Fu froze for a moment, his eyes sparkling with surprise.
Like an impulsive young wolf, he pulled Lin Zhen into his arms and showered him with kisses. “I don’t want to be either!”
Lin Zhen, unable to match his strength, struggled to fend him off. Finally, he firmly ruffled the back of Jian Fu’s head. “I need to shower first!”
Having been on a long flight and rushed straight from wrapping up his shoot without even removing his makeup, he felt utterly grimy.
Jian Fu immediately started to strip. “I’m going too! I’m going too!”
Lin Zhen, still a bit reserved, blushed and pushed Jian Fu out of the bathroom. “No, I’ll do it myself.”
Jian Fu didn’t want to push too hard, so he reluctantly crouched by the door, looking hopeful. “We’re both guys—why can’t we shower together? Broaden your horizons a little.”
Lin Zhen’s voice echoed from inside. “No.”
Jian Fu tapped his foot on the floor, pouting. “We’ll have to shower together eventually, you know.”
Lin Zhen replied, “We’ll talk about it later.”
With that, the sound of running water started, drowning out any further conversation.
Jian Fu squatted there for a while. When it became clear Lin Zhen wasn’t going to open the door, he had a sudden idea. He turned and headed for Lin Zhen’s kitchen to find some wine.
Lin Zhen’s home was stocked with gifts from various brands and collaborators. Most of them had been given away to relatives, friends, or staff, but a few remained.
Inside the kitchen cabinet, there were a few bottles of excellent wine, handpicked by Jian Fu himself since Lin Zhen didn’t know much about choosing wine.
Jian Fu grabbed a bottle, uncorked it, and poured two glasses—one for himself and one for Lin Zhen.
The first time should be special, he thought. It should have a touch of ceremony and create beautiful memories.
A bit of wine to get slightly tipsy was perfect—not awkward, just enough to set the mood so both could enjoy the moment.
Feeling pleased with himself, Jian Fu couldn’t resist taking a small sip.
The rich, sweet flavor confirmed his choice. Lin Zhen was sure to like it.
He adjusted his clothes, thinking he looked pretty good today—not too much hassle when it came time to undress.
Half an hour later, Lin Zhen emerged from the shower, dressed in a bathrobe.
As he stepped out, he saw Jian Fu sitting upright at the dining table, holding a glass of red wine and giving him a meaningful look.
Lin Zhen’s eyes sparkled with amusement. He strolled over to Jian Fu, picked up the glass of wine, clinked it lightly against Jian Fu’s, and took a sip.
His movements were graceful and natural. As he tilted his head back, drops of water from his hair slid down his neck, tracing a path to his collarbone. His pale, smooth skin was exposed, and the motion of his Adam’s apple as he swallowed was mesmerizing.
Having spent years in the public eye, Lin Zhen had mastered the art of creating an alluring atmosphere with ease.
Jian Fu was momentarily entranced, his eyes fixed on Lin Zhen’s face as he took a sip of his own wine.
The next moment, his hand instinctively reached out to touch Lin Zhen’s arm—smooth, cool to the touch, impossible to resist.
Lin Zhen leaned closer, pressing himself against Jian Fu. He brought the wine glass to his lips, gently biting the rim before downing the rest of the wine in one graceful motion.
He furrowed his brows slightly and said, “Not bad.”
Jian Fu immediately captured his lips, and the two fell into a passionate kiss, their movements growing bolder by the moment.
Lin Zhen’s loosely tied bathrobe quickly came undone as they eagerly explored each other, occasionally pausing to clink glasses. Before long, they had polished off half a bottle of red wine.
Lin Zhen’s face was flushed, his breath ragged and heavy with the aroma of wine. Jian Fu wasn’t faring much better. In perfect sync, they both seemed to agree the time had come for the next step. With unspoken understanding, they set down their glasses and, with a tipsy glow, made their way to the bedroom.
Young men are often restless and impatient. Clothes were scattered across the floor as they kissed and touched each other, their passion building—until, at the final moment, they hit an unexpected roadblock and awkwardly came to a halt.
Lin Zhen’s eyes glistened, and he hesitated. “So… who… between us…”
Jian Fu froze for a moment. “…”
Both of them had been straight as arrows before this. Neither had given serious thought to this particular aspect of their relationship. Work had kept them busy, and they hadn’t taken the time to consider the details. Fueled by hormones and wine, they hadn’t realized the gravity of the situation until both wanted to take the lead.
Jian Fu cautiously asked, “Do you… mind the role?”
Lin Zhen furrowed his brows. “Not particularly… no.”
Jian Fu replied, “Me neither. As long as it’s with you.”
Lin Zhen nodded. “So, what do we do?”
A sudden idea struck Jian Fu. “Rock-paper-scissors?”
Lin Zhen: “…”
Jian Fu added, “Unless you have a better idea?”
At this point, they were too far along to have a drawn-out debate over who would take the lead.
Lin Zhen sighed. “Fine, rock-paper-scissors.”
After all, being with Jian Fu meant anything could happen—even something as absurd as this.
Drunk and flushed, completely undressed, with the atmosphere at its peak, the two sat on the bed, earnestly playing rock-paper-scissors.
Later, during a small team dinner, Li Rong couldn’t resist asking Lin Zhen in a whisper, “How did you two decide who takes the lead?”
Lin Zhen, who never held back with Li Rong, felt his face heat up as he quietly confessed, “Rock-paper-scissors. Best out of five. I lost.”
Li Rong: “…”
Curious, Lin Zhen leaned closer and asked in a low voice, “What about you and Cen Xiao? How did you decide?”
Li Rong raised an eyebrow, peeled an orange slowly, and replied with a meaningful smile, “It’s a complicated story. At first, I didn’t have much choice… but eventually, I got used to it. Then I got addicted. Then I fell in love.”
Cen Xiao pulled Jian Fu aside as well, teasing, “You and Lin Zhen—how are you going to explain this to Uncle Jian?”
Jian Fu blinked mischievously and replied with pride, “No need to explain. I told my dad, ‘If you can convince Team Leader Cen and Team Leader Li to break up, I’ll behave.’ Then my dad went to challenge Uncle Cen to a fight. How’s Uncle Cen doing?”
Cen Xiao: “…”
The End.
