After Becoming a High-Risk Master, I Flipped the Script Chapter 145

Ao Hang came charging in with a fierce look, making Three Bean’s fur stand on end. Gu Baiqing instinctively moved to protect his “cub,” but Ao Hang grabbed Three Bean in a bear hug. His dragon tail stood upright with excitement, forcing Three Bean to take human form to push him away.

“I’ve thought it through,” Ao Hang declared domineeringly. “We’re meant to be together. You’re my wife. Let’s mate.”

Gu Baiqing didn’t know why he had to witness a public courtship between two male creatures.

He’d honestly thought this farce would blow over.

Especially since one was Mo Xuanli’s spirit beast and the other his own, who could’ve guessed a dragon obsessed with having offspring would give up reproduction for Three Bean?

It really felt like Heaven itself was playing some kind of twisted joke. Terrifying. Definitely a setup.

“Are you insane? Let me go! I’m male! There’s no way I can be with you!” Three Bean cried in horror. He wasn’t even fully grown yet and even when he was, he’d want a female cat! How could he end up with a male dragon?!

Ao Hang held the back of Three Bean’s neck firmly to stop him from retreating, his voice wild and absolute: “I gave you five hundred years of cultivation! I fed you a top-grade transformation pill! I took three heavenly thunders for you! You promised to marry me and bear my eggs! Now don’t think saying you’re male can erase all that. Male or not, you’re mine. If you won’t yield now, you will one day, I’m patient.”

Before Three Bean could answer, Ao Hang kissed him hard in front of everyone.

Three Bean had never experienced anything like this. Back then, when he was little, Ao Hang hadn’t been this deranged, at most, they’d both take their animal forms and he’d lick his fur a bit.

Now his head was spinning, his cat ears and tail popping out in shock, his whole body going limp with confusion.

Gu Baiqing didn’t even know what Mo Xuanli who had just rushed back or Qian Yue who’d prudently left to “avoid indecency” would think if they saw this scene. He himself definitely had no interest in watching two males kiss. He wanted out!

But his own spirit beast seemed to be the one being forced.

So… should he step in and save him?

Yet judging by what Ao Hang had just said, everything he’d done for Three Bean, Gu Baiqing realized even he, as the master, couldn’t repay that debt. It was too much.

No wonder the tiny kitten who once couldn’t even take human form suddenly could talk and transform, it was all Ao Hang’s doing, fast-forwarding Three Bean’s entire growth.

Honestly, Three Bean had taken a lot of benefits from him. Maybe he should… just marry him?

As Gu Baiqing was still torn, Three Bean suddenly turned into a small cat mid-kiss, darted up onto Gu Baiqing’s shoulder, and buried himself in his hair.

“Come out,” Ao Hang growled, still dazed and unsatisfied, spitting out cat fur. He hadn’t expected himself to accept things so quickly but kissing Three Bean had felt too good. He regretted not doing it years ago when he raised him, just to make sure he knew who he belonged to.

“Even if I came out, I can only be a cat now! What, you’re going to lay your hands on a cat? You pervert!” Three Bean yowled, fur bristling.

“What’s that supposed to mean? Change back! Human form, beast form, whatever, just don’t stay as a kitten when we… do it.” Ao Hang said bluntly.

Gu Baiqing was pretty sure dragons had zero concept of restraint. He honestly couldn’t listen anymore.

Mo Xuanli quickly stepped in to explain about Gu Baiqing’s current loss of power, that Three Bean’s transformations were unstable and depended on Gu Baiqing’s magic. Without it, he could only stay as a small cat.

After the explanation, Gu Baiqing noticed Ao Hang looking at him like a son-in-law eyeing a difficult mother-in-law.

…Wait. Something about that didn’t seem right.

“You just gave him spiritual power, didn’t you?” Ao Hang frowned.

Gu Baiqing felt Three Bean clinging to his ear, signaling that even with spiritual power, he couldn’t admit it.

“What I gave just now was the last bit, it’s used up,” Gu Baiqing said awkwardly, cooperating.

Ao Hang’s expression darkened. He waved his hand, sending a beam of golden light to test Gu Baiqing.

But with the system bug in place, as long as Gu Baiqing didn’t use his spiritual power, any test would register as zero.

“How is he like a mortal?!” Ao Hang frowned.

“Do you have any solution?” Mo Xuanli explained everything clearly, hoping Ao Hang, as a dragon, might know some ancient method to help.

“Can’t figure it out,” Ao Hang admitted, then realized, “Wait, if you don’t recover, then I… no, you need to dissolve the contract with Three Bean now.”

“No, I don’t know if my master’s body could handle that. I won’t agree,” Mo Xuanli immediately stepped in front of Gu Baiqing.

Three Bean leapt out too, fearful that Ao Hang would act recklessly: “You can’t harm my master. I’m sticking with him for life.”

Ao Hang was furious, smoke practically rising from his nostrils. This was supposed to be his dragon-life happiness! Why rely on a human for it?!

Three Bean glared back, unyielding.

Mo Xuanli pulled Ao Hang aside quietly. “Three Bean has shared many years with you, but he’s still young. He doesn’t have romantic feelings yet. You can’t force him. Better to wait until master recovers and cultivate the bond slowly.”

“Your master will recover?” Ao Hang frowned.

“I won’t let my master’s body carry this hidden risk forever,” Mo Xuanli said seriously.

Ao Hang hesitated a moment, seeming less urgent.

“And… my master and I… we’re not together yet. We haven’t… been honest with each other, so don’t say things recklessly,” Mo Xuanli reminded him.

Ao Hang narrowed his eyes. “Teach me to take it slowly? And you’re saying you’re not together yet?!”

Mo Xuanli was speechless. “It’s different, my bloodline is still an issue.”

Ao Hang snorted, clearly disdainful of Mo Xuanli’s hesitation and fussiness.

“We’ll be together eventually, so what’s the point of waiting? Waste of time,” Ao Hang said. “If they can’t accept it because of your mixed blood, is he even the person you want?”

Mo Xuanli paused, staring at Ao Hang, a memory string in his mind being tugged. He imagined the sacrifices his master had made, he should trust him, shouldn’t delay. No… the key wasn’t about trust, it was his buried insecurity about his bloodline that had always stopped him.

“Even if my master can’t accept it, it’s understandable. Even if he sees me as an enemy or a flaw, he’s still the one I want in this life,” he finally said.

Ao Hang looked at him with appreciation, patting his shoulder. “Fine. I’ll definitely take Three Bean. If you can’t manage it, and we can’t be together, I don’t care if it hurts you. I’ll just dissolve all contracts and take Three Bean with me.”

Mo Xuanli smiled wryly.

After their discussion, Ao Hang approached Gu Baiqing. “Forget it. I won’t force him for now. Come here, let me hold you.”

Three Bean peeked out cautiously, still uneasy.

“You’re a cat now, what can I do to a cat?” Ao Hang grumbled.

Three Bean thought, I’m still male and aren’t you a pervert who would go after males too?

Gu Baiqing sighed in relief, turning to admire Mo Xuanli, only to find him lost in thought.

“Xuanli?”

Mo Xuanli snapped back. “Right. Qian Yue, I’ll go find him.”

Then Ao Hang took Three Bean back to the cat house, saying he would give the cat a bath. Dragons liked baths, cats did not but under his power, Three Bean had no choice.

Finally, the three remaining could talk business.

Although still a bit embarrassed thinking of the previous scene, seeing Qian Yue calm and composed, he had that true monk aura of “still water, unshaken by wind.”

“I heard about what happened here with you and Mo Xuanli, about the beast demons and the Spirit-Gathering Array. I also recently heard of the events in Linxun Town and the puppet masters of the Rufeng Sect… I hope you can explain everything to me,” Qian Yue said earnestly.

Mo Xuanli spoke first: “Qian Yue, you were captured to the demon realm. Start by telling us what happened there. How did you end up here?”

Gu Baiqing understood: Mo Xuanli meant that since Qian Yue was long held by demons and is now alone here asking about demon matters, he couldn’t be fully trusted.

What Mo Xuanli didn’t say was that as a half-blood, he was more sensitive to demonic energy than ordinary cultivators.

He could tell Qian Yue carried faint demonic energy. Yet Qian Yue cultivated the Buddhist path, which naturally resists demonic influence. It was almost impossible for him to become possessed, let alone fully demonized.

This demonic energy seemed absorbed from others, tinged in his skin, faint but persistent.

It could be explained by time spent in the demon realm, by some demonic technique, or by frequent contact with demons.

Mo Xuanli asked openly, and Qian Yue didn’t object.

Qian Yue replied, “In the Void Spirit Realm, I was indeed captured by a incubus, but she didn’t hand me to anyone else, probably wanting to torment me herself. During that time, I heard much information, and from it, I concluded that the demon realm, under the leadership of a demon saintess, is moving toward unification. They’ve been secretly doing two things: placing demonic spies in various sects and planning a major event.”

Gu Baiqing frowned slightly, what kind of strange plotline was this again? A “Saintess of the Demon Clan”? In the original text, it only said that after Mo Xuanli became a demon, he returned to the demon realm and unified it at the fastest speed. If there really were such a saintess, she would definitely have been a major plot point!

“Setting up spies, we already saw signs of that from the incident with the puppet master,” Mo Xuanli said with a frown. “But what do you mean by a major event….”

“I only know they prepared two things for it,” Qian Yue replied. “The first is the Spirit-Gathering Array. I don’t know exactly what it’s used for, but the saintess sent several demons to handle it. The second is that they’re looking for this…” He finished speaking and placed an object before the two of them.

The moment they saw it, both their expressions changed instantly. God Nine Transformations, sensing something, trembled excitedly on Mo Xuanli’s wrist.

“The God-Slaying Sword fragment!” — the third one!

“You both recognize it?” Qian Yue frowned slightly, glancing at them.

The two exchanged a look before Mo Xuanli asked, “You’re saying the demon clan is searching for God-Slaying Sword fragments? They want the God-Slaying Sword?!”

“Yes. This one,” Qian Yue explained, “I stole it when I escaped. It was supposedly found in Star-Stepping City and then turned in as tribute.”

At once, the two understood. So the wild spiritual vein that had appeared back then had been caused by the fragment and sword intent of the God-Slaying Sword being there.

Gu Baiqing suddenly recalled, back then, Ruiyao had said to them that they’d come too late.

She must have been referring to this very thing, the God-Slaying Sword fragment, already having been handed over. She had only still been searching for the sword’s intent and preparing the Spirit-Gathering Array.

“How many fragments do the demons have?” Mo Xuanli asked immediately, his tone growing serious.

“I don’t know,” Qian Yue said. “Right now the only thing we can do is prevent them and secure those fragments ahead of time. If the demon clan truly intends to reemerge and endanger the cultivation world, we must stop them.”

As he spoke, Qian Yue suddenly extended the fragment toward Gu Baiqing. “I’ve already sent a message to Wuxiang Temple about this matter. The abbot should have gathered the sect leaders at the Taixu Hall by now to discuss it. However, I didn’t mention that I possess a fragment. I should have handed it in directly, but I feared something might go wrong on the way. I was hesitating over whom to trust with it since it wasn’t easy to obtain. Thankfully, I ran into the two of you. Please, seniors, bring this to the Taixu Hall and let everyone discuss how to safeguard it, lest the demons take it.”

“Why not deliver it yourself? It’s not difficult to make the trip in person.” Mo Xuanli hadn’t let the joy cloud his judgment.

Qian Yue’s expression remained calm, yet somehow his face looked as if he’d swallowed bitterness. “Because I was accidentally tainted by demonic energy. It’s unclean, a shame to my sect’s teachings. I no longer have the right to set foot in Wuxiang Temple, nor to face my teachers again. And the demons have been hunting me. I don’t want to bring trouble to others. I came here only to contribute what little I’ve learned, to make my life not entirely in vain. I heard the beast demon is here, so I figured many things might converge here as well, and came.”

Mo Xuanli hadn’t expected him to admit it so frankly, though his tone was rather defeated as if being tainted by demonic energy were a mortal sin. He said, “Demonic taint can be cleansed.” After all, it wasn’t the same as falling entirely into demonhood.

Hearing that, Qian Yue seemed to give a faint, bitter smile. His expression didn’t change much, but his whole bearing carried a sense of quiet defeat. Back in the Void Spirit Secret Realm, even though he’d been expressionless then too, there had been a clear, upward, youthful vigor about him, an air of calm detachment and purity. Now, though, there was something more worldly in him, a heaviness born of experience.

“Thank you for your concern. I know my own limits.” In other words, it was a private matter, and he didn’t wish to discuss it further.

Qian Yue once again held out the fragment, his gaze steady.

Facing the legendary God-Slaying Sword fragment, he showed no trace of greed, only sincere trust. Mo Xuanli, seeing this, decided not to hide anything and exchanged a look with Gu Baiqing.

Gu Baiqing nodded, after all, based on the original text’s description, Qian Yue was indeed a trustworthy person.

Mo Xuanli raised his hand, and the God Nine Transformations on his wrist detached, hovering and circling above the fragment in Qian Yue’s palm.

Qian Yue looked at him, puzzled.

“There are already two God-Slaying Sword fragments within my God Nine Transformations,” Mo Xuanli said calmly. “Only my master and I know of this.”

At that, Qian Yue’s eyes widened, for once showing shock. These were items the demon clan was desperately hunting for, and yet Mo Xuanli not only had two, but had fused them into his weapon, something no one would ever suspect.

Mo Xuanli went on to explain slowly, “One was found on Ten Thousand Swords Island, at that time, the fragment was with the Sword Demon. The second came from the merfolk clan here, it was later passed to Ao Heng, who then gave it to me. What you have is the third one we’ve found. I’ve been collecting the God-Slaying Sword fragments.”

“Why? You want the God-Slaying Sword?” Qian Yue asked, puzzled. Most people wouldn’t make such a thing their goal. But given Mo Xuanli’s talent and that he was the only disciple of Immortal Master Luofeng, it wasn’t entirely unreasonable.

“I’m doing it to cure an illness.” Mo Xuanli knew well what could and couldn’t be said, so he used that explanation.

Perhaps, in his eyes, the demonic bloodline in his body was an illness so his words carried full sincerity, not a hint of falsehood. With Immortal Master Luofeng right there and not refuting him, Qian Yue naturally believed it.

Then Qian Yue said suddenly, “You shouldn’t have told me this. Since only you and your master knew, and no one else could possibly guess, that was the best protection. If I were ever… captured by the demons again, and they tricked me into revealing it, wouldn’t you be in danger?!”

That Qian Yue would think that way made Mo Xuanli all the more assured and he finally voiced his true request.

“I told you because I want to borrow this fragment. I don’t plan to hand it over to the Taixu Hall just yet. If you were to deliver it there, I’d still have to borrow it later but that would be troublesome and might cause conflict. Yet this concerns my life. So since you’ve brought it to me first, may I suggest that you let me hold onto it for now? Just pretend you never found it. I’ll keep it safe. Once I’m done using it, everyone can decide together what to do with it. I have no intention of hoarding the God-Slaying Sword.”

Qian Yue fell silent at once, staring fixedly at Mo Xuanli.

Gu Baiqing felt a little tense.

In truth, with the power of that master and disciple pair, they could easily take it by force if they wished. But since Mo Xuanli had spoken openly, Qian Yue understood that if they couldn’t get it from him, they wouldn’t force the issue, they’d simply go to the Taixu Hall and borrow it legitimately. Even as a monk detached from worldly matters, he still understood a few of the twists and turns behind such things.

Qian Yue closed his eyes and lightly fingered the prayer beads in his hand. Then, raising his palm, he released the fragment letting it float toward the God Nine Transformations.

The third God-Slaying Sword fragment began to slowly fuse into it.

After Becoming a High-Risk Master, I Flipped the Script

Status: Ongoing
Voice actor Gu Baiqing wakes up one day to find himself transmigrated—into none other than the Master shou character he once voiced. Shocking! This was that ultra-risque novel full of “pushing-the-limits” plots and chapter after chapter of predatory tension! In the original story, his disciple Mo Xuanli, after turning demonic, was consumed with all kinds of unspeakable desires for his master Gu Baiqing— And he acted on every single one of them. He tricked him body and soul, leading to a torturous love-hate relationship filled with mutual obsession and emotional wreckage. So now, every time Gu Baiqing sees his gentle and obedient disciple, he shivers. In Gu Baiqing’s eyes, Mo Xuanli is nothing but a vicious wolf wearing a loyal dog’s skin—always secretly thinking about betraying and dominating his master. Determined not to fall into the same plot as the Master in the novel, Gu Baiqing is determined to not bend. In these types of Master novels, the masters always end up doomed because they’re too good to their beautiful, strong, and tragically tormented disciples. So— While others offer hands-on teaching, he lets his disciple run wild. While others shield their disciples, he stays uninvolved. While others take the punishment for their disciples, he grabs the whip and personally dishes it out. He absolutely refuses to let Mo Xuanli say one good thing about him.He must crush any improper thoughts in the bud. Of course, he can’t go too far. A blackened Mo Xuanli is seriously scary. All Gu Baiqing wants is to peacefully be a cold, aloof, and proper teacher while completing the system’s cultivation task. Really, it’s a legit teaching task! But why is Mo Xuanli looking at him more and more strangely, with eyes full of complicated emotion, as if he’s constantly holding something back? Until one day, Gu Baiqing is hit with a horrifying realization…. He may have transmigrated into the wrong book. This is actually a BG (boy-girl) world?! Mo Xuanli never had any betrayal or taboo thoughts—he’s truly a model disciple, loyal, pure, and filial! Overjoyed, Gu Baiqing thinks he no longer needs to worry about being “eyed” by his disciple. That is… until Mo Xuanli, finally pushed to the brink by his master’s constant cold-and-hot treatment, eyes reddening, snaps. The loyal dog bares its fangs, traps his master, and lowers his head to bite at his nape with a hoarse voice laced with danger and heat: “Master, you can treat me worse if you want, I won’t get mad. But if you ever abandon me… I’ll make you pay. Severely. Gu Baiqing, who just ditched Mo Xuanli five minutes ago: He’s got a soft temper. Probably just bluffing with words, right? First night of rebellion: This disciple is not normal!! Nth night, master’s back injury: Are you really sure I transmigrated into the wrong book?!
