Break in?
Yang Huaishan glanced at the girl standing alone and couldn’t help but chuckle.
The next moment, his gaze swept over her face, and he couldn’t help but be amazed.
She’s even more beautiful than Zhu Zhu!
If I could sign her into the company, then…
With a light tap of his fingertips, a smile returned to Yang Huaishan’s face, and he immediately waved to his secretary, “Alright, you can leave first.”
The secretary: “?”
“What’s your surname, Miss?”
“Jiang,” the girl said, smiling.
“Oh, so you’re Miss Jiang. Please, have a seat. Xiao Mei, bring in some drinks.”
“?” Just a second ago, you were flirting with me, and now you’re showering attention on another woman?
Yang Huaishan’s expression suddenly darkened. He saw the dissatisfaction in her eyes, but so what? Did she think she could meddle in his affairs? He had already given her face!
“Why haven’t you left yet?!”
Xiao Mei gritted her teeth and had to comply, glaring fiercely at Jiang Fuyue before leaving.
For a moment, the spacious office was left with only Yang Huaishan and Jiang Fuyue.
“Ahem! Miss Jiang, do you want to sign a contract to become a host? With your looks, there shouldn’t be any problem. Please, have a seat. Why are you still standing?”
Jiang Fuyue glanced at the leather chair in front of her. “I’m afraid of getting dirty.”
Yang Huaishan furrowed his brows slightly. “What are those wordst?”
“You and that girl just put on a show, didn’t you?”
A hint of embarrassment flashed across the man’s face. “Misunderstanding, it’s all a misunderstanding…”
Jiang Fuyue looked around and walked around casually, showing no regard for herself as an outsider, which made Yang Huaishan’s expression darken slightly.
Suddenly—
“You don’t remember me, Chief Yang?” Jiang Fuyue turned to look at him.
Her beautiful eyes shimmered.
Yang Huaishan’s heart raced. “Have we met before?”
“Never.”
“Then how…”
“Through a phone call.”
Yang Huaishan racked his brain for a moment, but couldn’t make sense of it.
Such a beautiful woman, if he had met her before, he wouldn’t have forgotten.
With such a distinctive voice, how could he have no impression?
“I am Jiang Chenxing’s sister,” she said slowly, “Before signing the contract, we discussed the specific terms over the phone. Chief Yang’s generosity at that time is still fresh in my memory.”
Yang Huaishan was first surprised, then he suddenly understood. Eventually, everything calmed down, and he still had that smiling and friendly demeanor.
“So you’re Jiang Chenxing’s sister,” he leaned back in his chair.
It was a rather relaxed posture, exuding a sense of confidence.
Compared to facing just a pretty woman who came to him before, now that Jiang Chenxing’s sister was involved, Yang Huaishan seemed to have a bit more certainty about her.
And this certainty made him inadvertently more presumptuous.
After all, approaching a beautiful stranger required cautious testing step by step, but with Jiang Chenxing’s sister, just like her brother, she would soon be under his control.
Since that was the case, why bother being polite?
“Do you have something to discuss with me today?”
“Yes, mainly settling accounts.”
“Heh…this girl probably doesn’t know that in our business, ‘settling accounts’ has more than one meaning.”
“That’s exactly what I meant.”
Yang Huaishan’s smile faded suddenly. “What exactly are you trying to say?”
“Since Chief Yang agreed to the terms of the contract, he shouldn’t violate the spirit of the agreement.”
The man was stunned, feeling surprised. “Is there a misunderstanding between us? What do you mean by… violating the spirit of the agreement? I don’t understand at all.”
“Oh? You don’t understand?” Jiang Fuyue’s cold gaze fell on his face, “Those people Zhang Kehua brought to the hospital were hired by whom? They were calling you ‘Brother Yang,’ weren’t they?”
“What? What happened to Little Zhang? In the hospital? Who’s in the hospital?”
Jiang Fuyue finished watching the performance calmly, then smiled slightly. “Chief Yang, it’s a pity you’re not acting in a drama.”
“Young lady, speaking recklessly comes with a price!” His tone suddenly turned stern.
But Jiang Fuyue remained unmoved, not even blinking her eyes, let alone showing any signs of panic.
That beautiful face remained calm and composed throughout.
“Do you know that violating rules and lacking integrity also come with consequences?”
“You dare—”
Jiang Fuyue’s tone turned cold. “You’re shameless.”
“If you have nothing else, please leave!”
“Chief Yang, are you… ashamed?”
“Considering you’re Jiang Chenxing’s sister, I’ve been patient, but I didn’t expect you to be so unappreciative. If you don’t leave now, you’ll bear the consequences!”
“Is this a threat?” Jiang Fuyue smiled, “I’m curious about what the consequences will be.”
Her tone was light, but her arrogance was evident.
Yang Huaishan sneered, then dialed the internal line directly. “Where are the security guards? Get them in here!”
Unfortunately, one minute passed, then two, and still no one came.
“It seems Chief Yang’s words don’t carry much weight.”
“You wait!” Yang Huaishan dialed the internal line again, only to be hung up on, which was embarrassing.
“These useless people! Miss Jiang, what do you want to do?”
“I already said it before. Settling accounts.” She remained polite.
But her words elicited a sneer from the other end. “Ha, just you? You want to stand up for your brother? Have you considered your own weight?”
“So you admit it?”
Yang Huaishan’s eyes flashed, meeting Jiang Fuyue’s cold gaze, and suddenly he changed his mind.
What was the point of all his acting? It was just a little girl, even if she knew, what could she do?
“It’s true, I sent people to Zhang Kehua. He was beaten up, and as his boss, I couldn’t just sit idly by, could I?”
“You silently accepted he was bullying the Jiang family, and you planned to appear as a savior at the right time, all just to renegotiate the contract. Chief Yang, your schemes are indeed grand, but you have to ask whether our family agrees or not!”
Yang Huaishan was surprised. He didn’t expect this little girl to see through his carefully laid plan. A hint of murderous intent flashed in his eyes.
“What if you agree or not? Don’t forget, Jiang Chenxing’s contract is in my hands.”
Jiang Fuyue didn’t miss the flash of hostility in his eyes. “Chief Yang, don’t forget, the contract clearly stipulates that if the agency breaches the agreement, we have the right to pursue legal action.”
“Legal action?” The man sneered, showing disdain. “You’re threatening to sue me?”
Jiang Fuyue replied calmly, “It’s not impossible.”
“Do you think I’m afraid of a lawsuit?”
“You don’t believe me, can I make sure you don’t find a lawyer in Lihuai?”
The girl’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Chief Yang can’t be softened, are you planning to face it hard?”
“Haha!” The man exaggeratedly laughed, “So what if you try to snatch forcefully? What can you do to me? Sending people to the hospital room, whatever Zhang Kehua did, has nothing to do with me. Even if you call the police now, you can’t pin anything on me.”
Jiang Fuyue nodded, “Indeed. Since the regular procedures can’t hold you accountable, we’ll have to use some special methods.”
Yang Huaishan hadn’t quite grasped the meaning of this when the girl clapped her hands twice. Soon after, the office door was pushed open from outside, and two men entered, each escorting a bloodied Zhang Kehua and a bruised Director Shi.
Following them were three intimidating figures dressed in black.
Yang Huaishan’s face turned pale, and he suddenly looked at Jiang Fuyue, “Who are you?!”
His tone was no longer as confident as before but tinged with fear under the panic.
“Brother Yang!” Director Shi suddenly lifted his head, hair disheveled, glasses askew, no longer the dignified director but filled with anxiety, “These people are up to no good. It’s because of you that they caught me. You have to save me—”
Zhang Kehua, still conscious, upon hearing this, instinctively nodded along, but his mouth was gagged, preventing him from speaking, only pleading with his eyes fixed on Yang Huaishan.
Yang Huaishan was well-known on the streets and surely these people would fear him. As long as he wished, he could surely protect himself!
But reality was far crueler than he imagined—
Yang Huaishan barely glanced at the two men before him and didn’t look again, letting out a stiff, contemptuous laugh, thinking he was still in control. However, in the ears of Jiang Fuyue and her group, it sounded more like bravado under pressure, a desperate attempt to maintain composure.
“What’s the meaning of this? Trying to threaten me with them? Hah, I’m not someone who gets scared easily!”
Unable to contain himself, Hu Ben burst into laughter, “Threaten you? You really think highly of yourself. What do you have that’s threatening? We’re here today just for revenge. What have you done? Feeling no guilt in your heart? Come on—”
Hu Ben waved his hand, “Get him!”
The two men in black moved forward at the signal and quickly twisted Yang Huaishan into a pretzel.
