A… a single-family villa?
Sister Li stood there dumbfounded, not reacting for a long time.
Until—
“Excuse me, I need to move this…”
“Wait, are you sure you saw it right? That family just now, the man is burly and simple-looking, and the woman looks decent. How could they live in a villa? What a joke!”
“Am I joking? Maybe your eyes have a problem. Look, we’re moving their stuff right now.” He lifted the box in his hands, steadying it. “You should just leave; they’re definitely not your acquaintances.”
“No!” Sister Li gritted her teeth. “I need to see for myself.”
She started to rush in but was stopped by security before she reached the gate—
“What do you think you’re doing?”
“I… I need to see something inside!”
“You think this is a park where you can just wander in and out as you please?”
Sister Li anxiously glanced inside and changed her approach: “My acquaintances just went in. I have urgent business with them.”
“Then please call the resident. If they approve, we can let you in.”
“This is really urgent! I don’t have time to call!”
“Sorry.”
“You—you guys—” Sister Li’s face turned red with frustration.
Finally, she returned to the car, disheartened and dazed.
“What’s going on? What were you talking to the movers and the guard about?”
“Husband,” Sister Li suddenly looked up, grabbing her husband’s sleeve, “how could Jiang Da’s family possibly live in a villa?”
“Who knows? Maybe they struck it rich…”
“Impossible!” Sister Li interrupted immediately. “How could they get rich? Jiang Da is much worse off than you, and Han Yunru isn’t as capable as me. All they can do is make pancakes. What else can they do? Nothing!”
The more Sister Li spoke, the more bitter she felt. “We haven’t even moved into a villa, and they’re already pretending to be wealthy. Ugh!”
“Why do you care so much? Where they live has nothing to do with us!”
“It does! It really does! I just can’t stand it.”
“So what do you want to do?” Her husband sighed.
Sister Li’s eyes flickered. “Unless I can live in a villa too.”
“…Well, then you’d have to divorce me and find someone new. Maybe then you’ll have a chance.”
Sister Li: “?”
…
At Yutian Huafu, the Jiang residence.
Yes, it was now rightfully the Jiang residence.
Xiao Ling: “Yesterday we had cleaning ladies come and clean overnight. Every corner is spotless.”
Han Yunru politely said, “Thank you for the trouble.”
“Auntie, it’s no trouble at all. It’s what we should do.”
Soon, their belongings were delivered.
After Jiang Da checked, he said, “Everything’s here, no problem.”
“Uncle, Auntie, you can get settled. I’ll head back to the sales center now. Congratulations on your new home! May everything go smoothly!”
After sending Xiao Ling off, Jiang Da and his wife started unpacking, taking everything out and slowly organizing.
The siblings helped as well.
At that moment, Jiang Fuyue’s phone rang. “Dad, Mom, I need to take this call.”
“Sure, go ahead. We can handle this,” Han Yunru said.
Jiang Chenxing raised his hand, “Me too! I can help!”
Han Yunru tapped his nose, “Yes, yes, you too.”
Jiang Fuyue walked out to the courtyard, answering the call as she went, “Niu Rui, what’s up…”
Through the French windows, Han Yunru could see her daughter’s serious expression, making her purse her lips.
Jiang Da noticed and looked too, “Honey, why are you staring at Yueyue?”
Han Yunru quickly averted her gaze, lowering her eyes and continuing her work. “Nothing… Let’s hurry and finish; we need to make lunch soon.”
“Oh.” Jiang Da scratched his head.

In the courtyard, under an osmanthus tree.
Jiang Fuyue frowned, “What do you mean by that?”
On the other end, Niu Rui took a deep breath, “….I mean, I’m being watched! They’re tracing the clues, and they’re about to find you!”
Jiang Fuyue’s expression hardened, and she quickly left the courtyard, heading out of the villa.
As she walked, her long hair blew in the wind, wild and unrestrained.
Protecting her family was the first thought that flashed through her mind.
Then, she nearly jogged until she put enough distance between herself and the house. She gritted her teeth, “You’re being watched and you still dare call me?”
“It’s not…” Niu Rui sounded confused, “Shouldn’t you first ask who’s watching me? Why I’m being watched? If I’m in danger?”
“Ha.”
“…” Sis, you’re going to lose me like this.
Slowing down, Jiang Fuyue stopped in front of another single-family villa, looking around cautiously before asking, “Who’s watching you?”
“A hacker in Linhuai.”
“?”
“No, more accurately, it’s a cop in the Linhuai criminal investigation team who’s good with hacking.”
Jiang Fuyue frowned, “How did you get noticed?”
“All because of that surveillance video at Kangtai Hospital. Everyone believes it was divine justice, but he keeps digging. Can’t he just think K was avenged from heaven? It’s so annoying!”
“Whose dumb idea was that in the first place?” Jiang Fuyue sneered. “The surveillance showing Shi Youmin’s suicide turned into footage of K being pushed off the building. The public may not question it, but do you think the police are idiots?”
“…” Sorry, my bad.
Niu Rui was filled with regret. If he had known this would get him noticed, he never would have done it.
