Chapter 51: Bumping Into It

Several people from the capital star were absent from the evening banquet. To prevent any trouble, the Qin family sent several bodyguards to look for them. Soon, the bodyguards returned and whispered something to Qin Yi. Qin Yi’s expression changed, and he walked towards Zhu Di with an uneasy face.
“General, I might need your help with something troublesome.” Qin Yi said to Zhu Di, “Please come with me to the back.”
Zhu Di nodded and followed Qin Yi around to the residential area at the back of the Qin family’s mansion. In a guest room in the villa, the family doctor was disinfecting and treating several nobles with bruised faces.
Qin Yi pushed the door, and the people inside immediately started making a commotion, claiming that the Qin family’s security was insufficient and that they shouldn’t have attended his wedding. Qin Yi frowned and didn’t speak, only gesturing for the doctor to quickly treat these people.
“So, do you have objections to His Majesty’s decision?” Zhu Di walked into the room and glanced coldly at the people inside, “How were you beaten, where were you beaten, and who did it?”
“It was the Little Prince who attacked us. He wasn’t a good person to begin with, and now he’s resorting to violence. According to the laws of the Black Gold Fortress, what punishment should he receive?” Faced with these questions, the people remained silent about why they encountered Dong Du and why Dong Du attacked them. They only demanded punishment for Dong Du.
Looking at the skillful beating techniques, even if they didn’t say it, Zhu Di, considering their identities, could guess who did it. He asked these questions just to see their attitude.
Stupid and malicious.
Zhu Di didn’t mention a half-word about Dong Du, just indifferently said, “You guys better rest for the night. It’s not good to run into someone and get into a fight again.”
Although these people looked down on the Black Gold Fortress, Zhu Di had a high status. Even if he was stationed at the fortress for a long time, they didn’t dare to argue with him. He didn’t mention punishing Dong Du, and they couldn’t forcibly demand anything from him. They nodded reluctantly but didn’t say anything.
But were they willing to take such a loss? Of course not.
Initially, Xi Yuan didn’t value Dong Du much. When Dong Du caused trouble, as long as someone reported it to Xi Yuan, Dong Du would be punished. So, although this general wanted to minimize big things and trivialize small things, once they reported it to His Majesty, Dong Du would soon be punished.
The people remained silent until Zhu Di left. When he left, they angrily cursed, “What is this thing? Just a general, and he thinks highly of himself. Daring to shield that guy, we’re going to find His Majesty now.”
“Once we find His Majesty, we must also accuse this general. He must have some relationship with the Little Prince. Otherwise, how could he shield him? It’s disgusting.”
Several people walked out together, but when they reached the banquet hall, only one omega, whose face was less injured, dared to go find Xi Yuan.
Xi Yuan usually didn’t care much about appearances. So, soon, this omega found Xi Yuan in the venue. He was about to walk over but was stopped by two alphas, telling him to play somewhere else, as they prohibited anyone from getting close.
The omega turned red, pitifully looking at the two alphas, crying, “Brothers, could you please help me convey a message? I need to find His Majesty for something. Look…” He pulled up his sleeve, revealing his bruised arm, “The little prince inexplicably started a fight. I want to tell His Majesty that, although I don’t have any serious issues, we can’t let the little prince keep causing trouble like this.”
Concerning the Little Prince, the two alphas frowned. One of them left and said a few words to Xi Yuan. In no time, several more alpha soldiers arrived and took this omega, along with the others, to a room.
Just as they settled down, footsteps echoed in the corridor. Novisane, Zhu Di, Hanchester, and Meng Ruan followed. At the forefront was Xi Yuan, and lastly, Dong Du, who was yawning due to lack of sleep.
As they took their seats, they surrounded the several injured omega in the middle. Xi Yuan’s brows furrowed deeply, sighing heavily, he asked Dong Du, “Did you beat these omegas?”
Yawning widely, Dong Du glanced at the injured omega, nodded reluctantly, and muttered, “Yes, I did.”
“Your Majesty, you heard it. The little prince has admitted to hitting people. It’s inexplicable. We’ve all been beaten by him like that. Faces are an omega’s capital, and he specifically targeted our faces.” One of the omega, who was on good terms with Xia En and had talked to Xi Yuan before, immediately stood up when he heard Dong Du admit it. He said, “Back then, Xia En always told us not to say anything. The little prince was still young. Your Majesty, we could certainly overlook it. But now, there are still so many people from the Yars Empire in the Black Gold Fortress. If the little prince accidentally hurts them, wouldn’t it be difficult to explain?”
“You’re good at talking.” Xi Yuan showed no signs of anger towards Dong Du. He sighed irritably, waved his hand, and had an alpha bring in a small projector.
The alpha soldiers swiftly set up the projector, pressed the play button, and left with a seemingly mocking look at the omega. The omega had a bad premonition, and one of them whispered, “Shouldn’t we just let it go this time?”
As he said this, the projector displayed footage captured by the Qin family’s surveillance. It not only showed visuals but also had sound.
The faces of the omega turned pale instantly. They dared not speak anymore, and the footage included them badmouthing Li Sheng, discussing giving Dong Du some trouble, and talking about the war concerning the Wandering City.
“Anything else to say?” Xi Yuan asked impatiently. His face looked very unpleasant. He thought Dong Du’s significant change would have whitewashed his previous reputation. However, these pests from the capital star seemed to be obsessed only with “fashion” and money.
“Mister Meng, can you say something for us? Considering Xia En’s face,” the omega who had spoken before took a few steps forward, looking hopefully at Meng Ruan. He remembered that Meng Ruan used to like following Xia En.
“He… what face does he have?” Meng Ruan exploded like an irritated cat, “Besides, this is your fault. What do I have to say?”
Zhu Di glanced at Xi Yuan and waved, signaling two alpha soldiers to come in. “Take them away, lock them up for fifteen days.”
“No, no!” The omega all screamed, “If you lock us up, we’ll die. Your Majesty, please, Your Majesty.”
Xi Yuan coldly turned his face away, “Who you should be begging for is not me.”
Only then did the omega look at Dong Du with tears and snot all over their faces. Dong Du seemed completely indifferent, still dozing off with his head nodding like a chick pecking at grains.
When they approached, Dong Du almost reflexively launched an attack, kicking the person in the front to the ground. Finally, he woke up and looked around, realizing the situation.
Yawning, he said, “Sorry, I got a bit drowsy.”
“Little Prince, it’s our mistake, please, don’t lock us up in prison!” Several omegas cried in a heap.
Dong Du frowned, carefully pondering and analyzing, “You all claim to know you’re wrong, but you don’t want to be locked up. So when you say you know you’re wrong, it’s just to avoid punishment. You haven’t really understood your mistake.”
Confused, the omega didn’t know what to say and just kept apologizing. Dong Du didn’t want to entangle with them, so he ordered the waiting alpha soldiers, “Quickly, take them away and lock them up.”
These soldiers had been stationed in the Black Gold Fortress for a long time, and they had already changed their views on Dong Du, admiring him now.
Following the orders, they immediately approached, and one person dragged the omega towards the prison. The little prince led the way, contributing so much to the Battle of the Wandering City, how can these omega be freely criticizing him.
After they were taken away, the room fell silent. Novisane played with Dong Du’s small curls and whispered, “Our Little Prince is truly mighty.”
Dong Du: “Get lost.”
“Alright, let’s continue the banquet.” Xi Yuan waved his hand, and mentioning Dong Du’s name made these people follow, but following was entirely useless.
Xi Yuan had more or less figured it out. These guys were interested in his younger brother. It seemed that although he was not a responsible elder brother in the past, the decision to send Dong Du to the Black Gold Fortress was undoubtedly correct. Now that Dong Du had not only corrected his previous shortcomings but also become quite popular, Xi Yuan didn’t worry about his brother’s future.
Dong Du bid farewell to a few people and went back to the tower to sleep. On the surface, everyone returned to the banquet, but in reality, they were all calculating to bring night snacks to Dong Du later.
Alone, he crossed the Qin family’s backyard and met someone familiar on the way.
Qin Yu reflexively hugged his head at the sight of Dong Du, shivering, “I’ve changed, I’ve really changed.”
“Qin Yu.” Dong Du yawned, “Meeting you is perfect. Take me to Li Sheng’s room.”
Li Sheng didn’t want to socialize, and after the wedding ceremony, he went back to his room. Dong Du was drunk and dizzy, and he hadn’t had a chance to congratulate him.
Suggested by Dong Du, Qin Yu dared not refuse. He walked ahead, trembling like a little quail. Although he scared himself into such a state, even Dong Du couldn’t bear to watch. He spoke with great emphasis, “Qin Yu, you’ve changed for the better. It’s been a long time, and you haven’t done anything wrong again. So, rest assured, I will never beat you again.”
Qin Yu looked at Dong Du with shining eyes, “Really, Little Highness, you are a good person. I’ve read the news and heard my brother talk about you. You are amazing, you are the idol of our omegas!”
“It’s not that big a deal.” Dong Du sighed. Qin Yu, like Novisane, probably had some issues, more or less.
The two of them walked to Li Sheng’s door, but it was tightly closed. Qin Yu knocked twice, but there was no response.
Today, with many guests at the Qin family, and people mingling everywhere, Qin Yu and Dong Du became anxious. Qin Yu fretted, “I’ll go call my older brother.”
“Wait for you to call him, and the dishes will get cold!”
Dong Du kicked the door open with one swift motion, and the door slammed to the ground. Then, Qin Yi, who was sleeping on the bed, looked over with a dark expression, “What’s the matter?”
The room was filled with the scent of pheromones. Dong Du looked confused, and Qin Yu had a shocked expression.
“Brother, I’m sorry!” Qin Yu tried to pull Dong Du away and leave.
But Dong Du seemed to be fixed in place like a needle in the sea, “What are you doing?”
