Lin Qingxu finally snapped out of his stupor, quickly rushing forward to help Madam Ru. He pleaded, “Father, stop, you’ll kill mother if you keep going.”
“She won’t admit it? Could it be you?” Marquis An Nan brandished his cane, ready to strike. At this moment, Madam Ru finally shouts, “It’s not him, Marquis, it’s me. I admit it. I was envious of the legitimate son’s position and wanted to use the addictive substance to harm Lin Qingyang. It was me, Marquis, I was wrong, I really know I was wrong.
