Chapter 182

This is a standard logical reasoning problem. However, this question combines two logical types, “yes or no” questions and “true or false” questions, making it more convoluted than just a “true or false
Lou Yan used to enjoy playing this kind of puzzle when he was in high school, but what he enjoyed even more was taking control of the conversation. He raised an eyebrow lightly and asked, “For the first question, will your answer to the next question be the same as the answer to this question?”
The woman in the red dress paused for a moment, then cautiously replied, “No.”
Lou Yan then asked, “For the second question, will you answer the same as the previous question?”
The woman in the red dress fell into contemplation.
If she answered “no” to this question, then she would have answered the same answer for two consecutive questions, which would confirm that her answer to the second question was true because she did indeed answer the second question the same as the first question: “no”. If she answered “yes,” it would prove that her answer to the first question was true because her answer to the first question was “no”…
No, the questions asked by this person were really strange. Answering “yes” or “no” was actually answering the question itself, or simply answering two meaningless words? She could only tell the truth once, and the other two times would be lies. If she answered the first question truthfully, then she would have to lie for the second question. So, is “yes” the lie or is “no” the lie?
The more the woman thought about it, the more confused she became, completely trapped in a logical dilemma, becoming as rigid as a stone.
Lou Yan calmly moved her hand away from the landline phone and pressed the dial button.
“Hello, this is the Lou family. Who is this?”
The person who answered the phone was Mother Lou. Lou Yan paused for a moment and said in as natural a tone as possible, “Mom, it’s me. I found a job at the Victory Factory. I’ll be staying in the employee dormitory tonight and won’t be coming home.”
Mother Lou was silent for a moment and asked gently, “Okay, I understand. Tell Mom, which dormitory are you in?”
Lou Yan narrowed his eyes, feeling guarded, and replied with another room number: “Unit 203, Building 21.”
After hanging up the phone and seeing that the woman who was confused by the logic puzzle hadn’t come to her senses yet, Lou Yan chuckled, turned around, and went back to the room openly.
There was hot water available in the dormitory, and the bathroom was clean. Following the rules, Lou Yan washed up and changed into the employee clothes provided by the factory. He then brought a basin of water to the silver-haired monster, wetted the towel in the water, and reached out his hand to the silver-haired monster, saying, “Hand.”
The silver-haired monster handed him its hand, and Lou Yan used the towel to wipe each of its hands clean, then began to wipe Fu Xuezhou’s wings and tentacles.
Lou Yan went through several basins of water himself in just over ten minutes, but it took him nearly half an hour to wipe Fu Xuezhou’s body. Lou Yan, who had never done this before, became impatient in the end, and his movements became a bit rough.
But in the end, he managed to clean off the green liquid and some dust from Fu Xuezhou’s body.
As for the black sticky liquid that Fu Xuezhou’s body would produce, Lou Yan really had no way to deal with it. No matter how many times he wiped it, it would still appear, and wiping it again only made it worse. When he saw the freshly wiped tentacles crawling on the ground and spreading the black sticky liquid everywhere, Lou Yan couldn’t help but be annoyed. He threw the towel angrily into the sink, “Fu Xuezhou, what’s the deal with the liquid on your body?! Why does your transformation and mine both produce this kind of liquid? Other transformations don’t have this.”
Even the Anomaly Lord he had seen in the amusement park, Lou Yan had never seen this thick and dark black liquid on him.
“This… is…”
“Filthy, impure.”
The silver-haired monster reached out to touch Lou Yan’s cheek, looking down at the black-haired youth in its palm. “This is, swallowing, too many, anomalies, flaw.”
Lou Yan: “You can talk now?”
The silver-haired monster nodded slowly.
Lou Yan suddenly doubted, “Fu Xuezhou, you’re not pretending to be demented like last time to deceive me, are you?”
The silver-haired monster remained silent, its twisted face showing nothing. Lou Yan withdrew his gaze suspiciously, reluctantly believing that Fu Xuezhou wouldn’t pretend to be demented in this situation. Seeing that it was almost 9 p.m., Lou Yan sent Fu Xuezhou to another bedroom to sleep, and he himself returned to bed.
When the hour and minute hands on the clock pointed to “9” together, the weather outside suddenly changed from daytime to nighttime.
Lou Yan had only planned to close his eyes and pretend to sleep, but unconsciously, he fell asleep. In the middle of the night, Lou Yan suddenly heard singing outside the window.
The singing was ethereal and bewitching, unable to distinguish whether it was a male or female voice. The singing penetrated everywhere, as if it had the power to enchant people’s hearts. Lou Yan felt his memories of coming to Paradise gradually becoming blurred under the singing. This song was brainwashing him, trying to make him completely sink into Paradise!
Lou Yan struggled to wake up, but he couldn’t. He tried to move his hand to his ear with all his strength, intending to poke his eardrum forcefully, but another slightly cold hand covered his ear.
Lou Yan still couldn’t wake up, but he didn’t feel anxious because he knew that the person covering his ear was Fu Xuezhou.
After who knows how long, Lou Yan was suddenly shaken awake by Fu Xuezhou. He opened his eyes abruptly, about to speak, but his lips were blocked by a finger.
In the darkness, the silver-haired monster, which seemed particularly huge, made a sound, “Shh.”
Lou Yan stopped trying to speak. In this silence, he realized that there was a slight movement outside the room.
…It seemed that someone was climbing the stairs.
Wearing high heels.
Could it be the female dormitory manager wearing a red tight dress?
The sound of high heels tapping on the ground became clearer and clearer, and finally reached the second floor. The sound passed by Lou Yan’s room door and stopped in front of the door of room 203 next door.
There was a knock on the door, and the woman called softly and tenderly, “Little Yan? Open the door for Mom, Mom is here to see you.”
Lou Yan’s eyes immediately darkened.
203 didn’t open the door. The woman called tirelessly, but her voice became colder and colder. In the end, there was only a dull sound of the door next door, and Mother Lou walked into room 203.
“Little Yan…”
The voice abruptly stopped, there was no one living in Room 203.
After a brief silence, Mother Lou let out an angry scream that could pierce eardrums: “Ah ah ah ah!!! Lou Yan! You lied to me!! How dare you lie to Mom!!”
The woman went crazy, knocking over everything in the room with such force that it could almost wake up everyone in the entire building, but no one dared to come out of their rooms to see what was happening.
After Mother Lou’s outburst, everything visible in the room was smashed into pieces. She looked gloomily at everything in the room, dragged her heavy feet out of the room, and stared menacingly at the other rooms in the hallway.
“Little Yan, Little Yan…”
Mother Lou chuckled softly a few times, her teeth clicking together, making a strange “crack, crack” sound. “Where are you? Are you playing hide and seek with Mom? Mom is coming to find you?”
Her gaze gradually shifted to Room 202 across from 203. She waved her arms and ran over to the door, leaning against it and peering inside through the peephole. “Little Yan, are you in there? Open the door for Mom, Mom is here to see you.”
Room 202 was occupied by a middle-aged bachelor who was lying on the bed motionless. His eyes were tightly closed, giving the appearance of being asleep, but he was actually covered in cold sweat, and his body trembled slightly under the blanket.
Help, who is Little Yan?! Who is Little Yan?!
He definitely wasn’t Little Yan!
He wanted to shout to the crazy woman outside, “You’ve got the wrong person,” but he didn’t dare to speak, not even to move.
Little Yan, please come out on your own! That crazy woman outside is beyond my control!!!
As if his wish had been granted, another voice suddenly appeared outside the door, but it was a woman’s voice: “Who are you? Why are you here in the dormitory building in the middle of the night?”
Mother Lou froze in her movements as she looked into the peephole. Her eyes shifted to the right to look at the red-dressed woman who suddenly appeared, and she asked ominously, “Who are you?”
The woman in the red dress giggled twice, pointing to the nameplate on her chest. “I’m the dormitory manager of this building. You entered my dormitory building without permission, which violates my rules. But if you agree to play a game with me, I can let you go. It’s a true or false game. I need to ask you three questions, and you can only answer yes or no. Your answers must be two lies and one truth. If you can make me figure out which answer is a lie, then you win. Are you ready? Hehe~ The first question is, will your answer to the next question…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Mother Lou pounced on her, grabbing her neck and forcing her to answer, “You are the dormitory manager, so you must know which room my son is in. Tell me! Tell me where Little Yan is hiding!!”
The woman in the red dress glared fiercely at Mother Lou. “You dare to break the rules of the game and attack me. I’ll kill you!”
Her face suddenly became covered in scars, and blood oozed from the wounds as if it had a life of its own, rushing towards Mother Lou. Sensing the danger, Mother Lou quickly backed away a few steps, but she was also enraged. With a grim face, she raised her hands, her fingernails becoming long and black, and her eyes started to turn bloodshot. Mother Lou muttered to herself, “Little Yan, wait for Mom. After Mom deals with this weird person blocking Mom from finding you, Mom will be able to find you.”
Mother Lou smiled strangely a couple of times and immediately engaged in a fight with the woman in the red dress.
Lou Yan listened to the increasingly intense fight outside the bedroom, and just by listening to the sounds, he could tell how dangerous the fight between Mother Lou and the woman in the red dress was. Apparently realizing that the space in the dormitory building was not enough, they actually left the dormitory building while fighting.
The second floor strangely returned to silence.
Seeing the crisis dissipate before him, Lou Yan felt complicated emotions.
To be honest, he wasn’t afraid of Mother Lou finding him. He was confident that he could handle Mother Lou with caution. Killing Mother Lou wasn’t difficult; the difficult part was whether Lou Yan would go through with it.
He would.
Lou Yan thought casually in his mind.
But Mother Lou was still a knot deep in Lou Yan’s heart, a thorn buried deep in his wounds, and he couldn’t help but hesitate.
However, no matter how hesitant he was, this mother was ultimately fake, far less important than Lou Yan’s own life.
Lou Yan had already prepared himself mentally, even thinking for a moment about how he would feel after killing Mother Lou. But he never expected that while he was making all these mental preparations, the woman in the red dress suddenly appeared.
Lou Yan removed the finger Fu Xuezhou had placed in front of his lips and looked up at the silhouette of Fu Xuezhou in the darkness.
“Fu Xuezhou…”
Lou Yan’s lips moved several times, but he closed them tightly again. Strong self-esteem prevented him from saying anything more.
But he looked into Fu Xuezhou’s eyes and said what he hadn’t said.
The silver-haired monster lowered its head and looked at him for a while, then bent down slowly, hugged Lou Yan, and kissed him gently on the corner of his mouth with its lips full of fangs. Its large wings unfolded completely, wrapping Lou Yan tightly within them.
Hmm, hug you, kiss you.
Lou Yan closed his eyes. In this enclosed space filled only with the scent of Fu Xuezhou, his fingers curled up and relaxed on his thighs, leaving several wrinkled marks on his pants. In the end, he restrained himself, lifted his hand slightly, but suddenly stopped abruptly when he was about to touch the terrifying creature’s shoulder, then immediately withdrew and put his hand back on his thigh.
