Chapter 67: Handsome Aunt Gu An

The next day, An Bu received a call from Fu Junyao, mainly to apologize and explain that he had already understood the situation from the past and shouldn’t have rashly asked for her help.

“Aunt Gu An, my father did indeed pass away,” Fu Junyao said solemnly. “While sorting through his belongings, I accidentally found that file. I thought my father and uncles were killed by someone, just like that, I was suspicious for no reason.”

An Bu spoke gently, “I understand your feelings. Although your father and uncles had many distant relatives, there weren’t many reliable elders to support you, children. So, your father included my name in the will to give you some support.”

Fu Junyao’s heart felt a pang. After his father’s death, the burden on his shoulders became exceptionally heavy. With no one to share it with, he even dared not reveal his weakness, fearing to be looked down upon. Now, hearing An Bu’s words, he suddenly felt much relieved.

An Bu continued, “Believe in your abilities and don’t be afraid of failure. Just remember, no matter how great the setbacks, you always have an ace up your sleeve.”

A faint smile appeared on Fu Junyao’s face, and he sincerely said, “Thank you, Aunt Gu An.”

After ending the call, An Bu also cleared up some lingering matters. With Fu Haiya’s shrewdness, he must have paved the way for his successor before passing away. What she needed to do was wait until the children were all adults, transfer the shares to them, and then completely seal the identity of “Gu An.”

With this matter temporarily settled, An Bu planned to book a flight home the next day. However, unexpectedly, Jian Ningxuan called just then, saying that there was a sudden matter requiring him to go abroad and asked if An Bu wanted to join.

“For a few days?” An Bu asked.

“About a week.”

After considering for a moment, An Bu said, “I think I’ll stay home. You handle your business. I’ll wait for you to come back.”

“Well, wait for me at home. I’ll be back as soon as possible.” Jian Ningxuan’s voice didn’t reveal much emotion, but it somehow felt a bit despondent.

“Mr. Jian, I’ll give you an honorable task.”

“What?”

“Take a picture of at least one dish every day, and it must be something you personally order. If it’s particularly delicious, give it a like and recommend it to me. I’ll study the recipes at home and make it for you when you come back.”

“…Alright.”

An Bu’s few words made the dull trip suddenly interesting, and more importantly, it would remind the cat master to eat on time.

After teasing each other for a while, they finally hung up the phone.

An Bu laid on the bed, thinking that the cat master would be going abroad tomorrow, and she had no urgent matters to return to. Instead of immediately canceling the “Gu An” room, she decided to stay a few more days. During the day, she would have the bodyguards keep an eye on the Fu family’s movements, and at night, she would dress up as “Gu An” and stroll around.

While An Bu was keeping an eye on the Fu family, someone from the Fu family was also keeping an eye on her.

When she, disguised as “Gu An,” left the hotel and arrived at a leisure club for a workout, Fu Haiwei appeared in front of her as if he belonged there.

“Ms. Gu An, excuse me for bothering you.” Fu Haiwei smiled gently. “Can we have a chat?”

“What about?” An Bu, wearing boxing gloves, asked casually while preparing for her workout.

Seeing her indifferent appearance, Fu Haiya cut to the chase, “I want to buy the shares you hold.”

“Oh?” An Bu glanced at him. “How much are you willing to pay?”

“5 billion, plus an additional 20% of the shares of Guangsheng.” Guangsheng was Fu Haiya’s food company, with total assets of only around 400 million.

An Bu was speechless. Where did this man get the confidence to offer such a low price?

“After Haiya’s death, New Start is leaderless, and its future is uncertain. There will definitely be significant fluctuations. Selling now will give you the highest return. If you wait until later when the stock price drops, you might not even get back 3 billion.”

An Bu smiled, “I invested a little over 16 million in New Start from start to finish. Even if I can only sell it for 10 billion later, I’d still make a profit. So, there’s no need for you to think about my shares.”

Fu Haiwei’s face darkened, and he stared coldly at An Bu, “What if I only want the 2% that Haiya gave you?”

“5 billion for 2%? That’s quite generous. I can consider it,” An Bu said.

Fu Haiya gritted his teeth, “3 billion for 2%.”

“No discussion,” An Bu replied straightforwardly, tapping her gloved hands together in a warm-up motion as if preparing for a strike.

“Ms. Gu An,” Fu Haiwei said, placing his hand on the punching bag, a hint of threat in his voice, “It seems you’re not married and have no children. Are you sure you can digest that much stake?”

What does being unmarried and childless have to do with it? She has sponsored orphans; she can easily pick one as her heir. Where does he fit into the picture?

An Bu was unfazed by this superficial threat, “If I’ve taken it in, do you want me to spit it out?”

Suppressing his anger, Fu Haiwei continued to negotiate, “Ms. Gu An, you haven’t married or had children. Are you sure you can handle so much stake?”

An Bu dismissed the insinuation, “Having or not having those things is none of your concern. I’ve already taken it in; do you want me to spit it out now?”

Fu Haiwei suppressed his anger and continued to negotiate, “Tell me, what conditions do you want for transferring your shares? Or, you can name your price.”

“Conditions?” An Bu laughed, raising her fist, “Here’s the deal: you and I have a match. If I lose, I’ll sell you the shares.”

Fu Haiwei looked An Bu up and down. She was around 167 cm tall, slender, weighing probably less than 54 kg, and in her forties. Yet, she proposed to compete in boxing against a strapping man weighing over 70 kg?

Although Fu Haiwei hadn’t practiced boxing, he had considerable strength. He was confident that he could withstand several punches from this woman. However, he doubted she could endure even one of his punches.

“Are you sure you want to compete with me?” Fu Haiwei asked, emphasizing the responsibility, “If I accidentally hurt you, how will you hold me accountable?”

“You can find a referee for a fair match. The consequences will be your own responsibility.” Since he voluntarily proposed not to pursue consequences, An Bu naturally welcomed this agreement.

Fu Haiwei walked aside and asked the bodyguard for his opinion, “What do you think?”

The bodyguard glanced at An Bu and commented, “This lady seems to exercise regularly. However, women’s physique is naturally weaker than men’s. If the boss wants to compete with her, the odds of winning are still high, but it might not sound good.”

Fu Haiwei waved his hand, “It’s a small matter. As long as I win.” Compared to the shares worth tens of billions, losing face was trivial.

Fu Haiwei immediately had the bodyguard explain some boxing essentials, and ten minutes later, he brought a referee, put on boxing gear, and eagerly prepared for the match.

Since Fu Haiya’s serious illness, he had secretly been acquiring shares of New Start. However, due to limited funds, he hadn’t made any progress. After Fu Haiya’s death, he couldn’t restrain himself and began trying to pressure the descendants of Tian Bin and Luo Tiancai, as well as several small shareholders in the company, to sell their shares at a low price. He even harassed Fu Junyao many times. Fu Junyao didn’t tell An Bu about this matter; he planned to handle it himself. However, before he could take action, he heard that Fu Haiwei had gone to find An Bu.

Early on, when Fu Haiya was seriously ill, Fu Haiwei began to secretly acquire shares of New Start. However, with limited funds, he spared no effort but didn’t make any progress. After Fu Haiya’s death, unable to restrain himself, he approached Tian Bin, the descendants of Luo Tiancai, and several small shareholders of the company, trying to coerce and tempt them into selling their shares at a low price. He even harassed Fu Jun Yao many times and bought off several weak-willed company employees, exerting pressure from various angles.

Several younger family members found it unbearable, but unfortunately, they couldn’t do anything about it. Fu Haiwei was not only their elder but also unscrupulous in his actions. A few pure-hearted and upright children were no match for him.

Fu Junyao did not tell An Bu about this matter, intending to handle it himself. However, before he could take action, he heard that Fu Haieei went to find An Bu.

An Bu was his last reliance, and he absolutely would not allow anyone to harm her. So, Fu Junyao, accompanied by Luo Tianlei, followed Fu Haiwei’s car and tracked him to this leisure club.

While Fu Hai Wei negotiated with An Bu, the two eavesdropped not far away. They heard An Bu mercilessly rejecting Fu Haiwei, and both of them felt relieved. However, when they heard that she wanted to compete in boxing with Fu Haiwei, they were immediately baffled.

A woman weighing just over fifty kilograms wanted to box against a man weighing over seventy kilograms? Wasn’t she afraid of losing her life? Fu Haieei certainly wouldn’t show mercy!

“Junyao, what should we do? Should we stop them?” Luo Tianlei asked in a low voice.

Fu Junyao frowned, “Let’s see how it goes first. Aunt Gu An is not impulsive. If there’s any danger later, we can intervene.”

Luo Tianlei nodded, staying in place to observe quietly.

The referee cleared a space, and An Bu and Fu Haiwei faced each other—one slender, the other robust. The strong contrast in their body shapes made the onlookers secretly amazed. They all thought it would be an utterly one-sided match and cast disdainful glances at Fu Haiwei, who seemed undeterred.

“This is just a game; stop when I say so. No attacks to vital areas. Once one side admits defeat, the other side must refrain from further attacks,” the referee said solemnly. “Are you ready?”

Seeing both nodding, he raised his hand to signal the start of the match.

Fu Haiwei raised his fists, full of confidence, “Don’t say I’m bullying you. I’ll let you make the first move.”

Before his words fell, a figure rushed towards him. An uppercut hit his face, a left hook struck his jaw, and a quick jab pierced his abdomen. The movements were seamless, making her appear exceptionally handsome.

Fu Haiwei stumbled back a few steps, nearly falling if not for the bodyguard’s hand supporting him. This wasn’t a formal match, so the referee didn’t intervene, merely warning the bodyguard with a stern look.

An Bu retreated to the center, taking small steps, calmly watching Fu Haiwei across from her.

Furious, Fu Haiwei pushed the bodyguard away, ignoring any semblance of dignity, and charged towards An Bu.

An Bu moved like a nimble cat, dodging, shifting, twisting and turning. She delivered straight punches, hooks, jabs—her power might not match that of a younger man, but she excelled in finesse.

Fu Haiwei, driven solely by his brute strength, could not withstand An Bu’s agile movements. She effortlessly avoided his attacks, making him look like someone receiving a beating without any systematic training.

Everything Fu Haiwei had now was almost entirely given by Fu Haiya.

Ungrateful, bullies juniors, ruthless for wealth, low moral character, no learning, detestable appearance—An Bu was punching him for all these faults.

In the not-too-distant distance, Fu Junyao and Luo Tianlei watched as An Bu threw punch after punch, beating the arrogant Fu Haiwei to a bruised and swollen state. They felt an overwhelming sense of satisfaction, as the pent-up frustration of the past few days evaporated.

“Auntie Gu An, you’re awesome!” Luo Tianlei couldn’t hold back any longer, raising his hand and shouting.

Fu Junyao watched An Bu in the fight, a shining light in his eyes, as if a strange emotion surged within him.

“I…” Fu Haiwei realized he had made a foolish mistake and was about to concede when, unexpectedly, he was struck back by a fist before he could speak.

“I…” Another fist came his way.

“I…” Yet another fist greeted him.

Fu Haiwei was infuriated. Was there no chance for him to admit defeat?!

Fu Junyao and Luo Tianlei couldn’t contain their laughter, with the latter even recording a video on his phone.

Finally, the bodyguards realized their boss’s predicament and hurriedly stepped forward to block An Bu’s attacks. One of them said, “Miss Gu An, you’ve won.”

An Bu stopped, standing to the side.

Fu Haiwei sat on the ground, panting heavily, in a sorry state. When he looked at An Bu again with his swollen eyes, a mixture of fear and resentment filled his gaze.

Ignoring him, An Bu turned to Fu Junyao and Luo Tianlei, saying, “If he wants to buy the shares you have, let him come to me. I don’t mind teaching him a lesson a few more times to make sure he remembers.”

“Good,” both Fu and Luo replied simultaneously. It felt great to have a big shot backing them up!
