Chapter 14: Are You Stupid?

“Fu Mingzhu! Let go! Let go!” Yuwen You had initially wanted to endure, but he didn’t expect Mingzhu to bite him so fiercely. If this continued, he would lose a chunk of flesh. In extreme pain, he reached for Mingzhu’s hair. Seeing her bite persistently, he then tried to pinch her jawbone.

Mingzhu, born tender, had her jawbone dislocated by him with ease. Her pair of dark eyes cried wetly, blood flowing from the uncontrolled corners of her lips, dripping onto her tender yellow robe, clear and miserable, terrifying. Seeing both of them really fighting, the servants on both sides were scared half to death. They all rushed up to pull them apart, but were fiercely pushed away by Mingzhu. With her jaw dislocated, she lunged forward and knocked Yuwen You, who was bending down to inspect the injury, to the ground, then swiftly flipped over and straddled him, raising her fists and throwing two punches at his eyes. When she was bullied by him when she was weak, there was no choice, but now, with many people and a strong momentum, it was unreasonable to endure this anger.

Yuwen You was not one to suffer losses either. With two black eyes, he pushed Mingzhu down and raised his hand to slap her. Mingzhu knew how tough he was, so she scratched his face with her claws before tightly entwining herself with him, not giving him a chance to hit her. Although her jaw was dislocated, her eyes were fierce, making people shiver inexplicably.

Why did she suddenly hate him like this? Even after dislocating her jaw, she still acted so ruthlessly? Yuwen You was stunned, hesitating for a moment, and then he received another kick in the crotch, which made him crazy with pain. The grudges of matricide and ambitions were thrown out of his mind, and all he wanted was to perish together with this madwoman. Everyone would die together and be done with it. The two of them had no rules, just like children fighting. You pinched my nose, I dug your mouth, neither giving in to the other, using all means, rolling into a ball on the ground.

The servants on both sides saw them fighting and spontaneously joined the conflict. In the midst of the chaos, they suddenly heard someone coldly say, “Stop it!”

The voice was as clear and cold as jade, carrying a considerable authority. However, both sides were already enraged and paid no attention. Mingzhu was busy trying to gouge out Yuwen You’s eyeballs, while Yuwen You was pinching Mingzhu’s delicate neck. Suddenly, they were separated by someone. Both of them were very angry and turned their heads to glare at the person who intervened.

Under the tall cypress tree, Yuwen Chu stood with his hands behind his back, his brows slightly furrowed, showing impatience. “You’re not children anymore, yet you’re causing such a ruckus without considering the consequences. It’s really disgraceful.”

Seeing this person, Mingzhu’s mood worsened. She felt that her rebirth had gone smoothly until she encountered Yuwen Chu. After meeting him, everything became difficult and full of obstacles. He first made things difficult for her, then had someone take her shoes, stole her drawings, and now he was here pretending to meddle in her affairs and make fun of her. It was really annoying. She wanted to retort, but her dislocated jaw prevented her from speaking. She could only glare angrily. Unintentionally, she saw a hint of amusement in Yuwen Chu’s eyes, which made her even more furious and embarrassed. She felt that she had completely lost face in two lifetimes, so she could only stand there with her jaw held up angrily, unable to speak but filled with anger.

Yuwen You’s anger didn’t diminish. He gave a perfunctory bow and said in a muffled voice, “Sorry for the disturbance, Sixth Brother. What are you doing here?”

Yuwen Chu replied, “The weather has been good these days, it’s a good time for stargazing. Since I had nothing to do, I came here to enjoy some peace and quiet.” He frowned slightly, looking clueless. “Why aren’t you in the capital preparing for the wedding? Instead, you’re causing trouble here?”

Yuwen You’s handsome face was marked with several scratches from Mingzhu’s nails. The wind blew, causing him great pain. The place where he was bitten on his arm also throbbed with pain. Being asked about the abandoned wedding, his face didn’t look good, and he couldn’t answer. He just glared fiercely at Mingzhu.

Mingzhu glared back fiercely, showing her momentum. However, her dislocated jaw looked particularly ridiculous, making her seem a bit pitiful.

Yuwen Chu sighed and said kindly, “Miss Fu, aren’t you in pain? This won’t do. If there’s someone skilled in bone-setting in the mansion, it’s better to reset your jaw as soon as possible.”

Who asked him to remind her? She naturally knew. Even if she forgot, the pain wouldn’t let her forget. Mingzhu looked at Jiang Duo, who apologized and stepped forward to reset her jaw. Yuwen You immediately stepped forward to stop him, saying in a harsh voice, “Lowly dog slave, dare you dirty my fiancée with your dirty hands?”

Mingzhu was furious and gestured to Jiang Duo not to pay attention to this mad dog. Yuwen You pointed his sword at Jiang Duo and said provocatively, “Anyone who dares to touch her, I’ll cut off their hands!” Seeing Mingzhu’s anger, he provoked further, “Otherwise, call a woman to do it.”

He was certain that there was no woman around who was skilled in bone-setting, forcing her to beg him or endure the pain. Although he had lost power, he was still a County prince. If he really cut off a servant’s limbs, no one would say anything. Even the Great Empress Dowager couldn’t make a fuss about it. Mingzhu couldn’t bring herself to gamble with someone else’s life and safety out of anger. She hated it so much that her teeth itched, glaring angrily at Yuwen Chu. Her original intention was to say that since he wanted to uphold justice, why did he allow his unruly brother to meddle? If he didn’t take action, then she wouldn’t give him face and would create a scene regardless.

But Yuwen Chu nodded at her and walked slowly to her. He supported her chin with one hand and the top of her head with the other, skillfully resetting her jaw. Then he said, “Miss Fu, since you asked for my help, I naturally can’t stand idly by. Try it, is it better now?”

Mingzhu hadn’t expected him to touch her face like this. Even though her jaw had been reset, she forgot to close her mouth, and she stupidly looked at Yuwen Chu. The tip of her nose was surrounded by the faint fragrance of agarwood, light and cool, and she didn’t know what to say for a while.

Yuwen Chu smiled and said, “Are you stupid?” There was a hint of indulgence and tolerance in his tone, as if he were her own brother. If someone didn’t know, they would think they were very close.

This person changed his face so quickly, he must have bad intentions. She was sure that he knew she didn’t ask for his help, but he really did help her. She couldn’t say words of thanks or questions, so she could only hold them back. Mingzhu lowered her eyes, silently moved her jaw, Yuwen Chu’s technique was good, and it was indeed better, but she had suffered a lot from Yuwen You. Her face hurt badly, and she was probably swollen and bruised, not much better than Yuwen You’s colorful face. But it was indeed satisfying.

Seeing that she remained silent, Yuwen Chu didn’t mind. He turned around and invited Yuwen You, “Since you’re here, come to my place for a while.”
