Fu Mingzheng’s smile was unusually charming, his voice and demeanor gentle and courteous. If anyone who knew him saw him at this moment, they would surely think they were mistaken, or suspect he was up to something mischievous again.
But the youth didn’t know. He blushed suddenly and asked in a low voice, “Are you poisoned?”
“Yes,” Fu Mingzheng replied, lying still. Even speaking seemed to require effort, but he spared no effort in maintaining his smile.
The youth carefully set down his knife and approached to examine Fu Mingzheng’s wound, which was on his thigh. Despite the clothing obstructing the view, he recognized the dead snake. “It’s a five-step snake. Luckily, you tied a cloth around your leg to stop the blood flow, and you didn’t move. Otherwise, the poison might have already reached your bloodstream.”
Fu Mingzheng smiled, “Yes, but can you help me see if he has the antidote on him? Otherwise, no matter how much I endure, I’m afraid I won’t make it.”
His voice carried a lazy and casual smile, but it made the young man blush inexplicably. The young man responded with an “oh” and rummaged through the assassin’s belongings, finding several bottles. “I don’t know which one it is.”
“Would you mind handing it over?” Fu Mingzheng reached out, casually picking through the bottles until he found one. “It’s this one, but I can’t move. Could you please apply it for me?”
This was an easy task, and the young man accepted the bottle without any hesitation, kneeling beside Fu Mingzheng. Blushing, he said, “Then I’ll have to tear your pants open a bit.”
“Please go ahead.” Fu Mingzheng smiled, his neat white teeth gleaming in the morning sunlight.
Trembling, the young man tore open the pant leg near Fu Mingzheng’s wound. After calming himself down, he picked up the bottle to apply the medicine. However, a cold and forceful hand landed on the back of his neck, gently gripping it. He heard Fu Mingzheng’s voice, cold and cruel, “This isn’t the antidote. There’s no antidote. I need someone to suck out the venom. Young man, you have to save me completely.”
The young man shuddered. He hesitated and looked angrily at the handsome man leaning against the rock wall, barely breathing. “I saved you.”
Fu Mingzheng smiled, “I owe you gratitude. But if I die, you would have worked for nothing. So, you have to help me completely. It’s just sucking out the venom. As long as you don’t swallow it, you won’t die.”
The young man was furious. He had been pampered by his family since he was young, never having suffered at the hands of others. If it weren’t for… then sucking a bit wouldn’t matter, but… the young man angrily said, “I won’t suck! I refuse! You ungrateful villain! Go to h*ll!”
Fu Mingzheng chuckled, “I’m not afraid of death, but I can’t die now. Otherwise, many people will die because of this. You’re different. You come from a good family, your parents love you dearly, and you have countless good days ahead of you. Yet, you’re willing to throw your life away just for some casual fun. What a pity.” He pinched the young man’s neck, forcing him to lean down toward his wound. “Help me, you won’t die from it. I’ll repay you and make your bright future even brighter, so you won’t have worked in vain.”
Unexpectedly, this seemingly gentle and fair person was so strong and ruthless. It was his own carelessness. Hearing that he was being targeted by unscrupulous relatives for money, he had felt sympathy. Seeing him so beautiful and harmless, polite and courteous, had further disarmed him. Who would have thought he was actually a fierce and ruthless wolf? The young man couldn’t resist Fu Mingzheng’s coercion and reluctantly bowed his head, unable to suppress a tear, and stubbornly clenched his teeth, indicating that he would rather die than submit.
“You’re such an unreasonable child.” Fu Mingzheng sighed helplessly, rubbing his thumb against the young man’s smooth cheek, gently saying, “You’re so young, are you really willing to die with me? A steel knife was pressed against the young man’s waist, and he didn’t even realize how Fu Mingzheng did it, having been completely unaware before. “Spit it out!” Fu Mingzheng frowned. “Are you out of it? Or is the snake venom affecting you?”
The young man snapped out of his trance, “Ptui, ptui, ptui…” as he spat out the blood. His face and neck were as red as cooked shrimp, and he complained softly, “Disgusting! Have you not bathed for days?”
Fu Mingzheng smiled, not angry, and said slowly, “I naturally love cleanliness. I bathe every day. Even if I’m dirty, it’s from last night.” His tone turned cold, “Continue until I say stop.”
The young man was furious but sucked hard, wishing he could suck all the blood out of this wretched man and let him die here, unable to bully him anymore. However, no matter how hard he tried, Fu Mingzheng remained silent, still smiling calmly, unaffected.
The young man deflated, resigned to sucking out all the blood. The blood flowing from the wound turned bright red, and Fu Mingzheng finally said, “That’s enough.”
The ice-cold hand on his neck finally let go, and the sharp blade against his waist was removed. The young man was drenched in cold sweat, sitting limp on the ground, panting heavily. Fu Mingzheng expressionlessly bandaged the wound, then reached out. The young man raised an eyebrow, disgruntled, “What for?”
Fu Mingzheng smiled, “Of course, to help me out and find a place to rest. You can’t just sit here motionless with a dead man, can you?”
This commanding tone made it seem as if he were his servant. The young man scoffed inwardly, thinking that his father and brothers should have realized he was missing by now and would probably be searching nearby. This wretched man was unfamiliar with the area, so he might as well take him to hand over to his father and brothers for punishment. Thus, he obediently helped Fu Mingzheng up.
Fu Mingzheng looked thin but weighed quite a bit. The young man stumbled under his weight, barely managing to stabilize himself. He muttered angrily, “You pig, you’re so heavy.”
Fu Mingzheng’s voice was cold, “Why are you blushing?”
“Who’s blushing?” The young man retorted angrily, “You ungrateful b*stard, wait until I get my hands on you.”
“What then? Will you eat me?” Fu Mingzheng absentmindedly pointed ahead, “Do you know that person?”
