Chapter 107 – Extra 5
<Previous Chapter<Table of Contents>Next Chapter>
Gu Yang evolved, becoming a Gu Yang with well-defined abs, and ultimately, much credit went to Fan Yuan.
Because Fan Yuan now had fox ears and a fox tail, the task of tying a jacket around the waist fell to him.
Although Gu Yang had initially resisted the idea of exercising to build his abs, now that he had developed them, his resistance lost its meaning.
One day, while Fan Yuan and Gu Yang were attending their respective classes, Gu Yang was taking an elective course that was more of a formality.
He had chosen a film appreciation class, but he found it hard to focus during the lecture on an old movie. After marking his attendance, he quietly slipped out through the back door.
Fan Yuan’s class was in a different building. Gu Yang headed to the sports field, intending to go to the other building and find Fan Yuan.
However, as soon as he reached the edge of the sports field, a tennis ball grazed his ear and hit the ground behind him.
Gu Yang lifted his hand to touch his ear and found a bit of blood on his fingertip, indicating that the tennis ball had grazed his skin.
Thinking that the person playing tennis hadn’t noticed, he was about to leave when someone from the tennis court waved at him and yelled:
“Hey! Sissy over there, can you pick up the ball for me?”
Gu Yang was momentarily taken aback and looked over. He saw a tall and imposing boy on one side of the tennis court, twirling a tennis racket, who then looked at Gu Yang with a hint of disdain.
Seeing Gu Yang not moving, the boy grew impatient and urged again:
“Hey, sissy, are you deaf? Can’t you bend down to pick up a ball?”
Gu Yang’s lips curled into a smile that seemed particularly innocent.
He turned around, picked up the yellow tennis ball, and entered the tennis court, but he didn’t hand it over to the person.
“Are you done playing? Would you mind having a match with me?”
The boy who had been using terms like “sissy” and “sissy” to mock Gu Yang was momentarily stunned. He then looked at Gu Yang with contempt and gestured:
“Come on.”
Gu Yang borrowed a tennis racket from a curious bystander on the tennis court, tapped the small ball he had picked up, and then suddenly launched it into a high-speed spin as he swung the racket.
The tall boy on the opposite side had not anticipated that Gu Yang could play tennis at all, let alone deliver such a high-speed serve. He was completely unprepared.
By the time the small tennis ball landed, he hadn’t moved a muscle.
Gu Yang continued to smile, his expression soft and harmless. He picked up another tennis ball from the ground, spun and hit it again.
This time, the tall boy on the opposite side realized what was happening and hit the ball back. However, Gu Yang intercepted the ball at the net and quickly counterattacked.
Whispers from the surrounding students filled the air. Clearly, no one had expected Gu Yang to not only be able to play tennis but also to play quite well. Not just well, but his performance was fierce and completely unexpected given his appearance.
Gu Yang’s shots were steady, accurate, and swift. He allowed no time for the opponent to react or counterattack.
Gu Yang served three balls in a row. Regardless of whether the opponent returned the ball or missed, each round ended with the ball landing on the opponent’s side of the court.
Three balls, neither more nor less.
After serving the third ball, Gu Yang walked out of the tennis court and returned the racket to the dumbfounded student who had been standing by.
The student was still in a daze, clutching the tennis racket to his chest as he stared at Gu Yang.
Gu Yang lifted the hem of his shirt, wiped the sweat off his forehead, and the well-defined and attractive abs on his abdomen caught the attention of the onlookers.
The tall boy on the opposite side also hesitated for a moment. Unconsciously, he touched his own belly, a soft area devoid of any trace of abdominal muscles.
This boy only had a bit of skill in tennis, but he was naturally tall and strong, much more masculine than someone like Gu Yang who was considered effeminate. He also harbored a slight inherent homophobia and felt uncomfortable with Fan Yuan and Gu Yang’s showiness.
So, when he happened to see Gu Yang, he couldn’t resist provoking him.
Little did he expect that his provocation would result in a complete defeat at the hands of Gu Yang, who had given him a severe lesson with a tennis ball.
Gu Yang wiped his face, feeling a bit empty inside. He was thankful that Fan Yuan had helped him improve his physical strength through training. Otherwise, in the past, he would have been out of breath and completely powerless in a situation like this.
Fan Yuan’s class had ended, and he walked out of the classroom building just in time to see Gu Yang wiping sweat off his face with his shirt.
Gu Yang also spotted Fan Yuan immediately and rushed over. His arrogance and handsomeness from the tennis match were completely forgotten at that moment.
He bounded up to Fan Yuan in three quick steps, leaped onto him, and wrapped his arms and legs around him, clinging tightly. He used his warm and sweaty cheek to rub against Fan Yuan’s face.
“Are you done with class?”
The onlookers, who had witnessed the fierce tennis game Gu Yang had played, exchanged smirks. Especially the tall boy who had taunted Gu Yang earlier was still standing there holding his tennis racket, looking bewildered.
They had just witnessed a fierce little beast suddenly transforming into a clingy and adorable one, and they found it a bit hard to adapt.
While Gu Yang nuzzled against Fan Yuan’s cheek, he suddenly made a soft sound.
“Hiss…”
Fan Yuan patted Gu Yang’s back, motioning for him to get down. Gu Yang obediently disentangled himself from Fan Yuan’s embrace and was supported by Fan Yuan as he examined his ear.
“What happened?”
Gu Yang had no reservations about complaining. He threw himself into Fan Yuan’s arms again, looking particularly pitiful.
“I got grazed by a tennis ball.”
Fan Yuan lowered his head and gently licked the edge of the cut on Gu Yang’s ear. He gave Gu Yang a hug, then held his face, checking his ear.
“How did you manage this?”
Gu Yang had no qualms about being a bit of a tattletale. He pounced back into Fan Yuan’s embrace and pitifully lamented:
“It was from the tennis ball.”
Fan Yuan patted Gu Yang’s head and then stood up, guiding Gu Yang back to the tennis court, holding his hand.
His dark eyes swept around, and they landed precisely on the tall boy standing on the other side of the tennis court.
The student who had lent Gu Yang his tennis racket earlier lent it to Fan Yuan once more.
Fan Yuan patted Gu Yang’s head, bent over to pick up a tennis ball, bounced it a couple of times in his hand, and signaled the tall boy on the opposite side:
“Play a game?”
The tall boy subconsciously gripped his tennis racket tighter and assumed a stance. The next moment, Fan Yuan threw the ball high into the air and swung his racket with force.
The fluorescent yellow tennis ball left a trail in the air, grazed the tall boy’s ear, and hit the ground, spinning rapidly and not bouncing up again.
The tall boy widened his eyes, frozen in place, unable to react to Fan Yuan’s serve given his amateur skills.
After serving, Fan Yuan turned around and handed the racket back to the curious bystander. He didn’t even spare a glance behind him at the tall boy. It was as if he was convinced that the guy wouldn’t even manage to return his serve.
Gu Yang immediately skipped over, hugging onto Fan Yuan’s arm.
“God Fan, you’re way too cool!”
Fan Yuan’s lips curved slightly, and he leaned down to whisper in Gu Yang’s ear:
“Do you regret having abs now?”
Gu Yang’s curled eyelashes trembled, but he didn’t say a word.
Fan Yuan raised his hand and pulled Gu Yang into a hug, his arm resting lightly on Gu Yang’s shoulder. He continued:
“Shall we continue working on our abs tonight?”
Gu Yang gradually suppressed his smile, his little face turning serious. He pushed Fan Yuan’s arm off his shoulder, adopting a very earnest expression as he shook his head at Fan Yuan:
“Actually, I think my abs are sufficient now. There’s no need to train them any further, really,” Gu Yang said.
Fan Yuan placed his arm back around Gu Yang’s shoulder and imitated Gu Yang’s serious tone:
“Your abs are still too soft now. They need more training.”
Gu Yang discreetly took a step to the side, creating some distance between himself and Fan Yuan’s arm on his shoulder.
“No need for more training.”
Gu Yang said as he grabbed Fan Yuan’s hand and pressed it against his small belly.
“Feel it, if you train too much, the touch won’t be good.”
Fan Yuan earnestly reached out and gave it a gentle pinch. Gu Yang’s stomach was flat and had a certain elasticity when touched.
But indeed, just as Gu Yang had said, a bit of softness was better.
Seeing Fan Yuan’s silence, Gu Yang was afraid that Fan Yuan wouldn’t listen to his quirky logic. So, he reached out to touch Fan Yuan’s belly.
Fan Yuan’s abs were much firmer than Gu Yang’s; there was hardly any soft flesh to pinch.
“Look at your belly; it’s too hard.”
Fan Yuan suddenly withdrew his hand, pulled Gu Yang close again, and began walking toward the school gate.
“Am I really that hard?” he asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Gu Yang nodded vigorously, his mind focused on Fan Yuan’s toned abs as he responded affirmatively, “Yes, really hard!”
Hearing Gu Yang’s response, Fan Yuan’s mood seemed to improve. He benevolently agreed with Gu Yang, “Alright, we won’t train abs tonight.”
Gu Yang’s eyes immediately lit up, the rosy flush on his face from playing tennis still present. He looked especially adorable as he gazed at Fan Yuan.
“Really?”
Fan Yuan felt his fox ears under the hat itching a little, and his large fox tail behind him moved slightly. His voice became a bit husky as he replied, “Mhm, no abs training.”
Currently, their class schedule wasn’t too demanding, and they had a lot of free time. After Fan Yuan’s class ended, both of them were done for the day.
Gu Yang wanted to have some dessert, and Fan Yuan agreed.
While they were in a dessert shop, Fan Yuan was sipping his coffee but kept his gaze fixed on Gu Yang. His gaze grew more intense, his pupils gradually turning into vertical slits, resembling a fox’s eyes.
Fan Yuan’s gaze was undisguised, causing Gu Yang to slow down as he ate his cake. It got slower and slower until Fan Yuan couldn’t take it anymore. Just as Gu Yang was about to take his last bite, Fan Yuan snatched the cake away and shoved it into his own mouth. He chewed it a couple of times before swallowing it down.
Immediately afterward, Fan Yuan grabbed Gu Yang’s hand and stood up, leading him out of the shop, making a beeline for their small apartment.
Gu Yang pursed his lips and whispered softly, “I haven’t had enough yet.”
Fan Yuan suddenly turned around, his fox-like pupils, characteristic of the animal kingdom, focused on staring at people, giving a slightly unsettling feeling.
However, what might be unnerving to others, Gu Yang didn’t find Fan Yuan’s gaze unsettling at all; he just felt that his waist wasn’t feeling too good.
Gu Yang began to act cute:
“Didn’t we agree not to exercise our abs anymore?”
Despite Gu Yang’s words, Fan Yuan didn’t slow down his pace. He continued to pull Gu Yang briskly, offering a nonchalant response:
“Aren’t you still hungry? We’ll have something even sweeter at home.”
Gu Yang’s face twitched slightly; he thought of Fan Yuan as a big liar.
Sweet or not, did he really have no idea?
Gu Yang didn’t plan to sit and wait for his fate. When Fan Yuan pushed him into their apartment, he mustered his strength and took the initiative to press Fan Yuan against the wall.
Due to their height difference, Gu Yang even tiptoed slightly.
He imitated the cool and domineering style of a CEO from a TV drama, performing a ‘wall slam’ move on Fan Yuan.
“Instead of feeding me sweets, I’d rather have you… sweeten me up.”
Fan Yuan placed his hand on Gu Yang’s waist, his lips curving as if suppressing a smile. He also slightly bent his knees, reducing the height difference between them.
“How would you like to sweeten me up?”
Gu Yang’s gaze roved around Fan Yuan’s face before settling on his thin lips.
“Let’s start with… here.”
The conversation faded, and Gu Yang leaned against the wall of his small apartment and pounced on his big fox. However, the big fox looked a bit miserable because, to match the pounce, it had to bend its knees a bit.
The nine large fox tails, hidden all day, shot out and squeezed through the gap. They wriggled their way in, distorting Gu Yang’s clothes.
Gu Yang reached out and grabbed one of the furry fox tails, pressing Fan Yuan’s shoulder to create some space:
“No, the clothes are the ones you just bought for me…”
Gu Yang grabbed onto one fox tail tip, knowing that he had eight more at his disposal.
Fan Yuan flipped their positions and finally pressed Gu Yang against the wall:
“I’ll buy you more.”
Gu Yang’s protests were ultimately in vain, and the ‘wall slam’ only lasted a short while. Nevertheless, Gu Yang managed to fulfill the promise of ‘feeding’ Fan Yuan something sweet.
Because to Fan Yuan, Gu Yang was sweetness personified.
That night, Fan Yuan kept his promise and didn’t make Gu Yang train his abs.
The twin bed, which had been working diligently all this time, assumed it would be another overnight shift. But it turned out that its owner and owner’s wife had changed workplaces.
The balcony employee, who was often lost in its own thoughts or watching the show, smoothly took over the relay from the twin bed, starting its days and nights of hard work.
Indeed, Gu Yang didn’t train his abs much after that. Fan Yuan shifted to helping him develop leg muscles instead.
However, this training regimen wasn’t entirely scientific. By the end of it, there wasn’t much change in Gu Yang’s legs, except for a muscle cramp. He cried and whimpered until Fan Yuan had to massage him for a long time before he felt better.
Under Fan Yuan’s intentional guidance and culinary persuasion, the well-defined abs on Gu Yang’s stomach gradually reverted to a softer appearance.
The semester quickly came to an end. During winter break, Gu Yang originally wanted to go on a trip with Fan Yuan. After thinking it over, he decided to start the “Little Match Girl” cheat from a popular TV show.
Compared to traveling to other cities or countries, there’s nothing more thrilling than traveling to another fictional world!
A brand-new matchbox appeared in Gu Yang’s hand, and he was eager to give it a try.
He thought he would play something exciting this time, so when he struck the match, he deliberately cleared his mind and didn’t think of anything.
As the match ignited, Gu Yang leaned back and fell into Fan Yuan’s embrace, and they both sank into the realm of dreams.
They were about to embark on a marvelous winter break journey, a trip to another world.
Gu Yang was awakened by the sound of a crisp shell hitting. He slowly opened his eyes and saw a room full of red.
It seemed to be an ancient dwelling, with red curtains draped everywhere, swaying in the gentle breeze. A string of shells hung by the window.
Getting up, Gu Yang realized he was wearing a red robe made of fine, smooth material, likely the best quality fabric.
With a move, his pitch-black long hair cascaded to the front.
“Another ancient setting.”
At this moment, an unremarkable figure in black entered the room. He knelt on one knee, showing great respect and speaking cautiously:
“Master, the righteous spy is still locked in the underground palace. He hasn’t revealed anything for the past few days.”
Gu Yang raised an eyebrow, thinking, a righteous spy?
Based on the pattern set by the previous matchboxes, this righteous spy was probably Fan Yuan.
If Fan Yuan is righteous, then does that make Gu Yang? The antagonist?
Could this Master be the leader of some demonic sect?
The thought of Fan Yuan being imprisoned somewhere made Gu Yang anxious. He immediately got up and strode out:
“Take me to the underground palace.”
The man in black was momentarily stunned. He clearly didn’t expect the enraged Master, who was plotted against by that righteous spy, to be willing to visit the spy in the underground palace.
After a few quick steps, Gu Yang felt a slight pain in his waist. He touched it and realized there was a wound beneath his clothes.
The man in black caught up, walking ahead of Gu Yang. He seemed somewhat reluctant about taking Gu Yang to the underground palace. He occasionally looked back at Gu Yang, seemingly wanting to say something but hesitating.
Gu Yang was feeling frustrated about not getting any information. He impatiently flicked his sleeve, showing annoyance:
“Speak up if you have something to say.”
After a moment’s hesitation, the man in black finally spoke:
“Master, that spy not only betrayed the genuine feelings you had for him but also hurt you to this extent. He even tried to steal the key from you. Why bother going to see him?”
Gu Yang furrowed his brow slightly, thinking that this time Fan Yuan was playing a role as someone who deceives others’ emotions.
Then he continued with a more deliberate tone, “This key…”
As expected, the man in black took the bait immediately:
“Master! You must not take out the key! This key has been guarded by our sect for generations, and it holds countless treasures behind it. Those so-called righteous individuals are constantly provoking and suppressing us, all for the purpose of seizing this key. They claim to be righteous, but I see them as nothing more than scheming villains!”
Having received the information he wanted, Gu Yang remained silent, just nodded and headed to the underground palace with a stern expression.
The underground palace was situated beneath an artificial hill. Upon entering, they were met with a bone-chilling dampness in the air.
Thinking of Fan Yuan being locked in this place for some time, Gu Yang quickened his pace.
The man in black assumed that their Master still held some affection for this righteous spy, and a trace of killing intent flashed in his eyes.
Descending further, Gu Yang walked down the moss-covered stone steps and arrived at the underground chamber.
This chamber resembled an ancient dungeon, sturdier than ordinary cells, with water droplets constantly dripping from above, creating a humid atmosphere.
No matter who you were, staying here for an extended period wouldn’t be pleasant.
Walking briskly, Gu Yang saw a person wearing only white underclothes locked in the innermost cell.
With a single glance, Gu Yang recognized that person as Fan Yuan.
Fortunately, he still remembered his identity as the Master. He placed his hands behind his back and looked down at Fan Yuan, who was sitting against the wall, head lowered.
“Unlock the door.”
The man in black hesitated briefly, then lowered his head and unlocked the door.
Unable to contain his eagerness, Gu Yang pushed the man aside and entered immediately after the door was opened.
The person who had been sitting against the wall, with their head bowed, slowly looked up. Their black hair was slightly disheveled, and their pristine white underclothes were stained, although there seemed to be no visible injuries on their body. However, their complexion wasn’t good.
As this person raised their head, their black eyes met Gu Yang’s gaze in silence.
Gu Yang breathed a sigh of relief, crouched down in front of them, and reached out to touch their face:
“Fan Yuan? Are you okay?”
Unexpectedly, Fan Yuan suddenly turned his head aside, avoiding Gu Yang’s hand.
Gu Yang paused for a moment, softened his voice, and called again:
“… Fan Yuan?”
Fan Yuan’s dark eyes shifted slowly, looking at Gu Yang calmly, devoid of any emotion.
Gu Yang’s breath caught in his throat, and a worrisome idea formed:
“Could it be that Fan Yuan… has lost his memory?”
Taking a deep breath, Gu Yang stood up and brushed his sleeves:
“Take him to my sleeping chamber.”
The man in black couldn’t contain himself any longer, and he exclaimed:
“Master! You must not! Absolutely not!”
Gu Yang deliberately put on a stern expression:
“Why not? Since he’s of no use anymore, why not bring him to warm my bed!”
With that, Gu Yang had already turned to leave, though his steps were somewhat unsteady.
He was feeling a bit anxious now, considering what to do if Fan Yuan had truly lost his memory in this dream world.
Currently, their roles were in opposition, and Gu Yang didn’t want to engage in a love-hate relationship with Fan Yuan for real.
Upon returning to his sleeping chamber, Fan Yuan was soon brought in by his side, though his hands were still shackled with iron chains.
Fan Yuan still maintained his calm demeanor, standing before Gu Yang without saying a word.
Gu Yang signaled to the man in black to remove the iron chains from Fan Yuan’s hands, though the man hesitated.
“What’s the matter? Are you afraid that I, the illustrious leader, can’t handle a mere righteous spy?” Gu Yang lowered his voice, his words carrying a hint of anger.
The man in black had no choice but to unshackle Fan Yuan. He lowered his head and exited the room.
Gu Yang approached Fan Yuan slowly, reaching out and touching him randomly:
“Are you injured?”
Fan Yuan didn’t answer him, leaving Gu Yang feeling a bit deflated.
Turning around, Gu Yang walked wearily towards a table, only to be suddenly pushed from behind by Fan Yuan, pressing him onto the table.
With an iron chain that had bound his hands just moments ago, Fan Yuan had approached, using it to bind Gu Yang’s wrists. He spoke in a low voice:
“Where is the key?”
Although Fan Yuan had him pinned, Gu Yang wasn’t afraid, more irritated than anything else. He cast a sidelong glance and said in a sulky tone:
“Figure it out yourself! Don’t bother me!”
By now, Gu Yang was losing interest in the upcoming dream world and was simply eager to end this particular dream.
Unexpectedly, Fan Yuan wasn’t angered by his response. He raised an eyebrow and, with a gentle flick of his slender finger, undid Gu Yang’s sash.
Gu Yang felt a cool touch at his waist and turned around in surprise, locking eyes with Fan Yuan, who wore a teasing smile in his dark eyes.
Seeing Gu Yang’s reaction, Fan Yuan raised an eyebrow playfully:
“Scared you, did I?”
Gu Yang was left dumbfounded for a moment before managing to stammer out:
“You, you, you didn’t lose your memory?”
Fan Yuan lowered his head and playfully nipped at the side of Gu Yang’s neck:
“Of course not. Just teasing you.”
Gu Yang clenched his lips tightly, grinding his teeth audibly, and finally managed to speak:
“Fan Yuan—”
Fan Yuan raised Gu Yang’s bound hands slightly, and the red robe draped over Gu Yang fell to the ground.
“Didn’t the Master ask me to warm your bed?”
In a fit of anger, Gu Yang lifted his foot to kick Fan Yuan, who didn’t dodge. Gu Yang’s kick landed on Fan Yuan’s shin, but it was clear he hadn’t used much force.
“Now, you’re my captive! Where have you seen such a defiant captive like you?”
Fan Yuan looked up, unfastening the iron chains from Gu Yang’s wrists:
“Indeed, you’re right, Master.”
Although his words agreed, Fan Yuan hoisted Gu Yang onto his shoulder and headed toward the large bed in the sleeping chamber.
In the next instant, the red curtains hanging over the bed descended, obscuring the scene within, leaving only shadowy silhouettes.
A servant responsible for attending to Gu Yang’s daily needs happened to pass by and overheard. He dropped the cloth in his hands and ran off while shouting:
“Trouble! Trouble! The Master has been charmed by that righteous spy again!”
