“Zombies are gathering on a large scale into a zombie tide, do you know this?” Qi Yue lay on the **, tilting his head, squinting his eyes at them as he slowly said.
The three people had just walked in the door, looking very shocked. Han Fei asked, “Who did you hear that from?”
“Liao Feifan from Base M.”
Tang Ke asked, “That classmate of mine?”
Qi Yue nodded, “This afternoon I followed him to Liu Yue’s house, and heard them talking. Right now the zombie tide is moving toward Base M, and they’re preparing to lure these zombies toward Base L using human-bomb methods.”
Han Fei was greatly shocked. Zombies carrying out a large-scale migration, this was something they had not detected at all. He carefully savored the words: “Human bombs?”
“Mm.” Qi Yue nodded, and repeated everything he’d heard at Liu Yue’s house to them.
Tang Ke sneered: “They’re really playing a nice little abacus. Want to treat us all like idiots and toy with us, but that depends on whether they have the ability or not.” At the end he added, “Liu Zhengnan won’t have many days left to feel comfortable.” Tang Ke’s uncle had always been unable to bring himself to be ruthless, wanting to wait until the situation stabilized and then use gentler policies to draw Liu Zhengnan and the people under him over, but now it seemed impossible. The clearing operation against those people had already begun; it shouldn’t take too long.
“How’s that Dr. Xu?” Qi Yue was very concerned. The effect of that drug was quite big, and if leaked it would be terrible.
“Someone is already monitoring him. He’s in charge of a portion of the research, we can’t touch him for now. Professor Wu has already been taken care of; they will guard against him.” Tang Ke’s expression was serious.
After listening for a long time from the side, Han Fei spoke calmly: “Qi Yue, you should be careful these days. Those two might come cause you trouble. I need to go back and tell Yan Bin about this. I’ll come see you tomorrow.” Even though he really wanted to stay, this matter of the zombie tide had to be told to Yan Bin quickly. Being able to gather several hundred thousand zombies together wasn’t something an ordinary high-level zombie could do.
Five years into the apocalypse, the highest zombie level discovered so far was level seven. Among ability users, only a few people in all of China had reached this level; ordinary ability users were still hovering around level three or four.
After Han Fei said he was leaving, he looked at the other two. He didn’t want either of them to stay. Tang Ke also said he was leaving, and Lin Yuze said he wanted to go as well. This news was a big shock to them; better to prepare early. Danger was imminent; better to be careful.
All three of them leaving also matched everyone’s intentions. None of them wanted the others to stay. They helped Qi Yue close the door and left.
Qi Yue himself had no confidence. Everything had changed from before. How did such a high-level zombie appear in just five years? The year he lived the longest in the previous life, zombie levels had only reached seven. In that zombie attack on Base L he experienced, the number of gathered zombies wasn’t even several hundred thousand. This must be an eighth-level zombie, right? In this life, not only ability users but zombies were evolving very quickly.
He lay there with eyes closed, thinking for a long time without any clue. He turned over, sucked in a breath of cold air, his butt hurt. He smashed the bed hard with his fist. Did those people think he swung both ways? But no, he clearly should like women, right? How did everything change after meeting those people?
He tossed and turned for a long time before finally falling asleep on his side. Even in his dreams he was cursing those people who had struck him so ruthlessly, not even listening to the whole sentence before jumping to conclusions.
Another sunny, bright day. Sunlight came through the window onto the **, extremely comfortable.
Qi Yue was woken by the knocking on the door. Opening his sleepy eyes, after resting one night they were much better, though still uncomfortable, he got up with messy hair to open the door. Outside the door stood him. Qi Yue wondered if his eyes were mistaken. This early in the morning, what was he here for? They weren’t even familiar. He automatically forgot the events of five years ago.
Yan Bin was different from Lin Yuze. Lin Yuze was indifferent toward everything, didn’t care about anything. Yan Bin was deep, cold, with sharp eyes; just standing in front of someone would unconsciously bring pressure to the other person. This man was always composed, calm. If he ever lost composure, it was only that one time five years ago.
Qi Yue squinted, and said coldly, “What are you doing here?”
Yan Bin stood like a parent, hands behind his back. His gaze swept Qi Yue up and down: red, swollen eyes, messy tangled hair. Lowering his head, he looked at Qi Yue’s lower body: under the loose sweatpants, those constantly trembling legs. His brows knit tightly.
What was that attitude? Before, maybe he would’ve felt scared, but now he wasn’t afraid at all. He crossed his arms in front of his chest, looking even more impatient than before. One foot bounced up and down, chin raised high.
Yan Bin didn’t answer Qi Yue’s question, instead looked into the room and simply walked in from the half-open door. Once inside he looked everywhere.
Earlier Han Fei had planned to move in, and had reorganized the room: changed the curtains, sheets, blankets, added a new cabinet, even put wallpaper on the walls. Truly impressive, considering it was years into the apocalypse. Even more ridiculous was that he had placed a small dressing table in the corner, what a joke, he wasn’t a woman, what use did he have for that thing.
Qi Yue was very displeased with this uninvited behavior, but before he could speak again—
“Han Fei went back to Base L,” Yan Bin said first. “To deal with some matters. Before leaving he told me to take good care of you.”
Qi Yue said coldly, “There’s no need. I’m not missing any arms or legs. I can take care of myself.”
“No. Anything I promise I will definitely do.” Yan Bin didn’t take Qi Yue’s words seriously. “Are you moving to my place, or am I moving here?”
The words fell like thunder from the sky, but Yan Bin said them as casually as if nothing. It blew Qi Yue’s mind blank. Did he hear wrong? This person actually asked him whether he would move over, or let him move in. Even though in this life he never got together with Liu Yue, that still didn’t stop his determination to dislike the person in front of him.
“If you don’t talk, then I’ll decide for you. No need to bring anything; I have everything there.” Yan Bin directly made the decision for Qi Yue. Truly, Qi Yue wasn’t disappointing, no wonder he had dreamed of him for so many years. He felt really good.
“Don’t joke around. Who wants to move to your cr*ppy place?” What he said made Qi Yue feel it was unbelievable. Too pretentious. Who did he think he was?
“I never joke.” Yan Bin shifted his gaze back and stared at Qi Yue.
“In any case, do whatever you want, but don’t involve me. I’m not going, and I don’t need your protection.” Qi Yue’s voice rose a little, mixed with some annoyance. “I can protect myself.” But when he said this sentence, his tone was abnormally firm.
Yan Bin looked at Qi Yue’s eyes, still slightly red, and as he spoke with firm determination, he unconsciously became engrossed. After a long time he finally turned around and left.
Qi Yue stared blankly at Yan Bin’s departing back. What was he doing here so early in the morning?
Ever since tasting Liu Yue once, Feng Zhe always felt unsatisfied. Occasionally changing flavors felt quite nice. Early in the morning he came to the Liu house. Liu Yue had urged him the previous day to leave Base B and return to Base M, but he kept making excuses and didn’t leave. Since he rarely came, he had to stay long enough before going.
In the large Liu family residence, Liu Zhengnan and his wife had already gone out early. Feng Zhe told the servant serving him to call for Liu Yue. After thinking about it, he decided it was better to go find Liu Yue himself. It was still early; he could do whatever he wanted. He sent away the person who came to lead him, and with interest, stood at Liu Yue’s door knocking.
“Come in.” Liu Yue thought it was a servant bringing breakfast. She had just tumbled with Liao Feifan, casually thrown on a nightgown and got up. The moment she saw who entered, a wave of disgust hit her, her face instantly darkened. “What are you doing here?”
“I missed you, I came to see you, Little Yue.” Feng Zhe went straight to her, reaching for Liu Yue’s waist, not noticing the sound of water coming from the bathroom.
Inside the base, water was purified by ability users. Only a few places had water and electricity running all day; most places had time limits.
Liu Yue’s eyes shifted, and her expression became shy. “Brother Feng Zhe, you came in like this. If someone sees, how am I supposed to face people?”
Feng Zhe’s lust rose; he didn’t care. “Anyway, enough people already know. A few more won’t matter. Come, let older brother see if you’ve missed him these days.” Saying that, his hand slid between Liu Yue’s legs.
Liu Yue twisted away from Feng Zhe’s hand, speaking with **, “Why are you so impatient? You go back first. I’ll come find you later and let you know how much I’ve missed you these days.”
After much coaxing, she finally sent Feng Zhe away. Liu Yue stood at the door, eyes sharp. Although Feng Zhe wasn’t as loyal as Liao Feifan, over the years, though lustful, he had been steady in his work. Now he even dared cast his lust on her. Look at his worth, clearly no need to keep him anymore.
Liao Feifan walked out wearing a bath towel, drying his hair as he stepped out. “Little Yue, who were you talking to just now?” The previous night their relationship had already received Liu Zhengnan’s approval, and Liao Feifan had openly stayed in Liu Yue’s room.
“A servant came to change the sheets. I told her to come change them later.” Liu Yue looked at him tenderly.
Liao Feifan saw the flushed face, his □ tightened, and he leaned right in. Liu Yue wore only a nightgown on the outside, nothing underneath, perfect for what the other wanted to do.
Impatiently pressing Liu Yue against the wall, he pulled off the nightgown he wore and lifted the hem of Liu Yue’s clothes, thr*sting in and moving.
“You’re so annoying, again. Didn’t you have enough last night?” Liu Yue’s clothes hung half-open, panting.
“With you, my interest is always endless.”
Feng Zhe had already walked out of the Liu house’s gates. In the past two days he had faintly sensed slight movements inside the base, seemingly targeted toward Liu Zhengnan. He came here also partly for this matter. Liu Yue said she’d come find him later, so that could wait. Suddenly he remembered, this morning he saw Han Fei leaving the base, and accompanying him were several powerful ability users. This was strange. Why were ability users from Base B teaming up with people from Base M?
Although Feng Zhe was lecherous, his mind was indeed meticulous; otherwise he couldn’t have survived the apocalypse so smoothly. He returned upstairs again, raising his hand to knock just as he heard strange sounds from within. That voice, he quietly turned the door handle.
Liu Yue was already completely lost in lust, the two of them tangled together, leaning against the wall, nak3d, doing the deed.
Without any change in expression, he retreated, closed the door, and left. After walking out of the Liu residence’s gates, he spat heavily. He originally thought that though vicious, at least Liu Yue was pure. Didn’t expect her to be a sl*t, already sleeping with Liao Feifan. Trying to send him away, she had to see whether he agreed or not. Looking up at the room upstairs, Liu Yue’s room, Feng Zhe cursed and left.
The hearing and vision of ability users both strengthened as their level rose. Liao Feifan had already sensed that faint sound. While moving, he glanced at the door, thinking it was a servant accidentally entering, and didn’t care. Lowering his head, he took Liu Yue’s earlobe into his mouth, continuing to thr*st forcefully.
