The Whole Sect Is Acting Strange Chapter 25

Chapter 25

Zhuyou seemed to have picked up all sorts of strange things from somewhere, and even though Pei Yunshu had a good temper, Zhuyou’s actions were testing his character.

That character, of course, was in the form of anger.

In the afternoon, the three of them bid farewell to the old monk and descended from the mountain. As they passed through the peach blossom forest, Huayue summoned a gust of wind, causing peach blossom petals to flutter down like rain.

Pei Yunshu pushed aside thoughts of the “Emotion Bound Gu” and flew through the peach blossom forest on his sword. Zhuyou stood behind him, one arm loosely around Pei Yunshu, and the other toying with his black hair.

As evening approached, they stopped at a small village. There was only one inn in the village, and it had only two rooms left. Pei Yunshu suggested, “Huayue and I will take one room.”

As soon as he said this, the atmosphere suddenly turned cold.

Zhuyou remained expressionless, and the innkeeper, frightened by his presence, cowered behind the counter.

In the end, Pei Yunshu and Zhuyou shared a room.

Fortunately, the room had two beds, one inside and one outside. Pei Yunshu placed the snacks they had bought along the way on the table and pointed to the bed in the outer room. He said, “You sleep there.”

Zhuyou nodded nonchalantly and began to pick at the snacks on the table, grabbing a piece of dried meat and putting it in his mouth.

Pei Yunshu saw Zhuyou engrossed in eating and cautiously moved to the inner room. He didn’t even have time to take off his shoes before he half-knelt on the bed, letting the bed curtains fall around him. Once he was certain that the thickness of the curtains would prevent Zhuyou outside from seeing what he was doing, Pei Yunshu, with a pained expression, began to unbutton his clothes.

Not all clothes were of the same quality, and while the clothes Pei Yunshu was wearing were considered good, they were still rubbing uncomfortably against his skin. He had been itching to apply ointment for a while.

He looked down and noticed that the ointment he had applied that morning had been smeared onto his clothes. Not only had it not worked, but it also seemed to have made his condition worse.

No wonder it was getting more painful.

Pei Yunshu frowned, and after a quick glance at Zhuyou to make sure he couldn’t be seen from outside, he took out a small jar of ointment and applied a small amount to his skin.

Lowering his head, he worked meticulously, unaware that a tiny gap had opened in the curtains behind him.

Afraid that his clothes might smear off the ointment, Pei Yunshu didn’t dare to fasten his belt until he felt the ointment had been absorbed.

Then he remembered that he had spent quite some time in the inner room, and yet Zhuyou hadn’t come to hurry him. Puzzled, he went to the outer room and noticed Zhuyou wasn’t at the table. Instead, there was the sound of water coming from behind the screen where the bath was located.

It was still quite early in the morning. Had Zhuyou taken a bath already?

There was a faint mist coming from behind the screen.

“Zhuyou,” Pei Yunshu asked, “did you use very hot water? Steam is drifting this way, and if you use hot water for too long, it might be uncomfortable.”

As he spoke, a loud noise came from behind the screen. Startled, Pei Yunshu instinctively went around the screen to take a look and was left dumbfounded.

Zhuyou’s body was emitting steam, and he wasn’t wearing any clothes. Pei Yunshu wasn’t sure what had just happened, but at this moment, Zhuyou had managed to puncture two small holes in the bath with his horns. Those two holes were now stuck on his dragon horns, rendering Zhuyou unable to move.

After his initial shock, Pei Yunshu couldn’t help but suppress a laugh.

Zhuyou noticed him entering, and the markings on his face grew even redder. He pressed his lips together, displaying displeasure in his expression. Zhuyou was about to forcefully remove the dragon horns from his head when Pei Yunshu quickly stopped him. “Wait a moment.”

Pei Yunshu tried his best not to look at the completely nude Zhuyou in the bathtub and instead moved around to the front, crouching down to inspect the two slightly protruding small horns on the wooden tub. He tried moving them, and indeed, they were wedged quite tightly.

Pei Yunshu then looked up at Zhuyou and asked in confusion, “Can’t you retract the horns?”

“….” At this angle, Pei Yunshu couldn’t see Zhuyou’s expression, only his black hair. After a quick glance, Pei Yunshu turned his attention back to the horns stuck in the wooden tub. Zhuyou replied, “I can’t retract them.”

“Why?” Pei Yunshu was curious.

Zhuyou said: “I want to mate.”

When flood dragons want to mate, they naturally have to show their most beautiful side. Whether it is the patterns or the flood dragon horn, it will never disappear while the lust is still there.

Unexpectedly, Pei Yunshu heard this answer, and Zhuyou, being straightforward, so he was the one who felt embarrassed. He coughed several times in quick succession, his face turning slightly red, and then he focused all his attention on trying to push Zhuyou’s horn back, avoiding further conversation.

The horn was much harder than the wooden tub, and in a small village like this, there were no spare tubs available. If this tub were to break, they might not be able to buy a new one for several days.

Pei Yunshu tried various methods and finally managed to push Zhuyou’s dragon horn back in place with great effort. The next moment Zhuyou was able to move again, he suddenly stood up from the tub, reached out, and grabbed Pei Yunshu’s wrist, his dark eyes filled with desire.

Pei Yunshu being pulled by him, “What’s wrong?”

Zhuyou replied in a low voice, “I want to mate.”

The hot water flowed from Zhuyou’s body into the tub, creating a noisy and restless atmosphere. Zhuyou’s grip on Pei Yunshu’s wrist was so hot that it made one want to recoil.

Pei Yunshu tried to pull his hand free, but he felt like something was wrong with himself. His skin started to burn, his limbs grew weak, and a strange fragrance hung in the air. After taking a few sniffs, he felt even hotter all over.

“I want to drink water,” he said, pinching his hand, not sure what was happening to him. “Zhuyou, I need to go out for some water.”

Zhuyou suddenly furrowed his brows and sniffed the air. “It smells good.”

He leaned in the direction of the scent, which was emanating from Pei Yunshu’s body. Pei Yunshu found it increasingly difficult to breathe, so he pulled away from Zhuyou’s grip, and Zhuyou released him. Zhuyou then closed his eyes and savored the fragrance coming from his body.

Pei Yunshu rushed out from behind the screen, drank two cups of cold water, and tried to calm his breathing. The strange fragrance in the air finally began to dissipate.

Once he had calmed down, Pei Yunshu remembered the gu insect inside him.

How could it release its fragrance so quickly?

Could it be that Zhuyou’s arousal had caused the “Emotion Bound Gu” to react as well?

No matter how Pei Yunshu thought about it, this possibility seemed the most likely. He quickly packed his things and went to the neighboring room where Huayue was staying. Given the current situation, he couldn’t stay in the same room with Zhuyou.

Huayue opened the door for him, looking extremely surprised. “Beauty, why have you come over?”

Pei Yunshu avoided the question and simply said, “I’ll be meditating in your room for the night.”

***

Although he said he would meditate all night, Pei Yunshu fell asleep by midnight.

The fox was reading a book about scholars and fox demons by the lamp. When he saw Pei Yunshu sleeping, he wanted to pick him up and put him on the bed. However, before he could get close, a white cloth strip suddenly shot out and struck his hand hard.

The fox gasped in pain, and his delicate hands swelled from the blow.

In the next moment, Zhuyou suddenly appeared next to Pei Yunshu, bent down, and kissed him lightly on the lips, his expression cold as he glanced at Huayue. Then he carried Pei Yunshu away.

After placing Pei Yunshu on the bed, Zhuyou bent down and kissed him gently on the corner of his lips.

The swelling on his lips had subsided considerably. Zhuyou was kissing him softly, gently lowering and lifting his lips. It was nothing like the roughness of the previous time, and if it continued like this, his lips shouldn’t swell again.

***

The Demon Ghost Market was still four days away. If they kept flying on their swords continuously, they could reach the market in less than a day. With plenty of time on their hands, they took their time, enjoying the sights along the way, making it a leisurely journey.

As they approached the location of the Demon Ghost Market, they encountered more and more supernatural creatures. Pei Yunshu was delighted by the diversity, feeling as if he was seeing a whole new world beyond humans.

However, just before reaching the Demon Ghost Market, they encountered members of the Flower Brocade Sect.

They hid among the crowd of demons on both sides of the road, watching as the demonic cultivators of the Flower Brocade Sect carried two black sedan chairs and flew past them in the air. As they passed by, Pei Yunshu tilted his head slightly.

The grandeur of their procession was truly astonishing, leaving Pei Yunshu slightly taken aback. Huayue sneered, “Those d*mned demonic cultivators are here too!”

Pei Yunshu merely acknowledged this and clenched his Qingyue Sword tightly.

The desire for revenge surged in his heart. He would never forget the humiliation they had suffered in the Fox Clan’s secret realm.

As he tightened his grip on the Qingyue Sword, his hand was pried open by another pair of hands. Pei Yunshu turned his head and saw Zhuyou, who glanced at him briefly before casting a fierce gaze towards the distant Flower Brocade Sect cultivators. In his eyes, Pei Yunshu could discern a deep and cruel murderous intent.

“Lord Zhuyou,” Huayue beside him also felt the bone-chilling killing intent and said urgently, “We can’t kill anyone once the Demon Ghost Market starts. It’s the rule of the market. If we want to deal with the Flower Brocade Sect, we’ll have to do it either before or after the market.”

But the Flower Brocade Sect had many powerful cultivators, and dealing with them before the market might not be feasible.

Zhuyou was displeased. “We have to wait to kill people?”

Huayue considered the situation and spoke cautiously, “Yes, wait.”

Their discussion wasn’t about whether to deal with the Flower Brocade Sect but rather when to do it. Both of them radiated strong killing intent, and after Pei Yunshu calmed down, he found himself smiling.

“Then let’s wait until after the Demon Ghost Market.”

This trip to the market was primarily to find the ghost physician, not to deal with Zouyu.

Huayue suddenly expressed concern. “Beauty Yunshu, what if that big demonic cultivator Zouyu recognizes you?”

He vividly remembered the threatening words that Zouyu had uttered that day when Lord Zhuyou had carried Beauty Yunshu away. The hatred in those words sent shivers down his spine.

The Flower Brocade Sect is indeed a shameless demonic sect, known for their underhanded methods. If it weren’t for Lord Zhuyou’s rescue, who knows what depths of depravity that demonic cultivator might have sunk to. Shameless!

Pei Yunshu also furrowed his brow in thought.

The veil, he would never wear it again. Furthermore, in this gathering of various supernatural beings, none of them were concealing their appearances with veils. If he wore one, he would only stand out more.

After a moment of consideration, he said, “Is there a place in the Demon Ghost Market where I can buy masks?”

Huayue’s eyes lit up. “Of course! There are masks of various supernatural beings available, and if you wear one while passing by the Flower Brocade Sect, they won’t recognize you!”

“Then let’s get masks,” Pei Yunshu firmly decided.

Zhuyou frowned, and as he did, the group entered the inn.

Once the door was closed, he raised his gaze to look at Pei Yunshu. “Why not kill?”

Pei Yunshu poured two cups of tea and placed them in front of Zhuyou. “If we kill them, we’ll delay the Demon Ghost Market.”

“Even if we delay it, if someone’s unhappy, we can just kill them,” Zhuyou said calmly, but there was a blood-red glint in his eyes, showing his genuine intent to deal with the Flower Brocade Sect.

“If you kill someone at the Demon Ghost Market, we’ll be hunted by thousands of supernatural beings. Even if they can’t harm you, we won’t be able to rest during these days. Without the market, we won’t find the ghost physician, and all the time will have been wasted,” Pei Yunshu explained carefully.

Zhuyou frowned again, seemingly deep in thought.

Pei Yunshu saw that he appeared to understand and felt a sense of accomplishment for explaining things so clearly. He looked at Zhuyou with a smile, noticing his slightly disheveled hair, and raised his hand to fix it for him.

Unexpectedly, Zhuyou grabbed his hand, closed his eyes, and inhaled the scent at his wrist, softly saying, “You smell so good.”
