This black bracelet seems to be more than just an ordinary bracelet.
The Sect Master found it interesting and immersed himself in painting on the Bestowal Divine Painting until late at night. The next day, Young Master Qingfeng was summoned by the Sect Master.
When Young Master Qingfeng arrived, the Sect Master was focused on painting on the Bestowal Divine Painting with a brush. Young Master Qingfeng glanced at it hastily and bowed at the table, “Sect Master.”
The Sect Master made a sound of acknowledgment and casually said, “Rise.”
Young Master Qingfeng stood up and glanced at the painting.
The Sect Master was painting a colorful and beautiful butterfly on Pei Yunshu’s hair. The butterfly was fluttering its wings, and the colors, seemingly obtained from nowhere, shimmered like a faint powder on the blue color.
After finishing the butterfly, the Sect Master admired it for a while and then lightly touched the corner of Pei Yunshu’s eye with the brush.
The pale red was covered by the shining blue powder, as if he had put on makeup.
“Is it beautiful?” The Sect Master asked Young Master Qingfeng.
Young Master Qingfeng, not sure if the Sect Master was referring to the butterfly or the corner of Pei Yunshu’s eye that was casually touched, pursed his lips and said, “Subordinate finds it beautiful.”
“Indeed?” The Sect Master narrowed his eyes, put down the brush, and someone approached to wipe his hands. He lowered his head and looked at the newly added butterfly. He said, “This butterfly seems to match him better than the fox and this bracelet.”
Young Master Qingfeng’s eyelids trembled, and he remained silent with his head bowed.
The Sect Master pointed at the Bestowal Divine Painting, “Go.”
The Bestowal Divine Painting flew up from the table, rushed out of the room, but in an instant, it flew back silently and lay quietly on the table. However, Young Master Qingfeng knew that the butterfly on it had changed.
“This magical tool is indeed useful,” the Sect Master said, chatting casually after dismissing his attendants, “In the past, they were piled up in the warehouse and covered in dust. But using it is a bit troublesome, it requires drawing something first.”
“… ” Young Master Qingfeng said, “Sect Master, you might want to release the person in the painting. Maybe there’s a place to redraw.”
“Release him?”
The Sect Master smiled playfully. He beckoned to Young Master Qingfeng, who approached, and then, the Sect Master’s finger lightly touched the black bracelet on Pei Yunshu’s wrist.
More precisely, he pointed at the black bracelet on Pei Yunshu’s wrist.
“If this thing is released,” the Sect Master smiled intriguingly, “I’m afraid even I won’t be able to subdue him again. By then, both parties may suffer. You want me to let him out, facing such a formidable enemy?”
Young Master Qingfeng hurriedly knelt down, “Subordinate spoke out of turn.”
“I didn’t expect Yuan Er to have such insight,” the Sect Master said, “From my perspective, this Bestowal Divine Painting managing to trap Pei Yunshu, a Nascent Soul cultivator, is already rare. In the end, it surprised me a bit.”
The Sect Master said this without expecting Young Master Qingfeng to agree. Young Master Qingfeng had a fine layer of sweat on his forehead, but his mind was surprisingly calm, listening attentively to every word of the Sect Master.
Finally, the Sect Master said, “It’s a pity that it won’t trap them for long.”
Young Master Qingfeng was stunned, looking up. However, the Sect Master was also looking at him, his eyes showing an unpredictable expression.
“Come here.”
Young Master Qingfeng stood up and came to the Sect Master’s side.
Getting closer, at the Sect Master’s indication, Young Master Qingfeng finally saw three cracks on the Bestowal Divine Painting.
One was at the white fox, one was at the black bracelet, and one was at Pei Yunshu.
The three cracks were tiny, only the length of a fingernail, but they were in different places. Looking at them from a distance, it seemed that the cracks were about to connect.
All three of them had found a way to break through the Bestowal Divine Painting.
Young Master Qingfeng felt himself truly inadequate. While he hadn’t found a way to release them from the painting, they had already started to decipher it.
A complicated feeling of the hero having no place to show his prowess arose.
“It seems…” Young Master Qingfeng said, “Sect Master, the Bestowal Divine Painting might be too forced.”
“It is a bit forced,” the Sect Master smiled, “So I decided to release one person first.”
Young Master Qingfeng was momentarily stunned, and his gaze had already turned towards Pei Yunshu.
“You said he is beautiful, Zouyu said he is beautiful,” the Sect Master’s tone added a hint of curiosity, “I looked at it late into the night, and still couldn’t see where his beauty lies. It seems either your eyes are not working well, or there’s something wrong with mine?”
The Sect Master acted on his words. He clapped his hands, and two figures in black clothes suddenly appeared behind him. These two people had lifeless pupils, no facial expressions, and were now kneeling on one knee, their voices hoarse, “What orders does the Master have.”
The Sect Master beckoned to them, making them stand by his side, and pointed to Pei Yunshu in the painting. “You two, say a fair word, how is the appearance of the person in this painting?”
These two were the Sect Master’s puppets, devoid of independent thoughts, only following the Sect Master’s orders. If the Sect Master asked them to look, they would do so without any expression.
“How is it?” The Sect Master asked.
The two figures in black responded coldly, “As Master said.”
The Sect Master chuckled, “Even you two think he’s beautiful, then he must truly be beautiful.”
His gaze fell on the canvas again, a glint in his eyes. He raised his right hand, made a cut on the tip of his left finger, and blood dripped. Each drop fell onto Pei Yunshu’s painting.
“How many days has he been trapped inside the Bestowal Divine Painting?”
“Counting today, it’s the fifth day.”
The Sect Master nodded.
Young Master Qingfeng observed the Sect Master’s actions closely, not missing any movement. Suddenly, the Sect Master said, “If you want to release the person from the Bestowal Divine Painting, you need the blood of the painting’s owner to soak it.”
So that’s how it worked.
“Qingfeng,” the Sect Master said, “If you want to save them, you’ll need to kill me and use my blood to save them.”
Young Master Qingfeng raised his head abruptly, but in the next moment, he felt a sharp pain in his mind.
Blood trickled from his lips, but his face remained calm. “Subordinate would never.”
“Go to the punishment hall,” the Sect Master said, “After the punishment, go get the antidote. This time, I’ll spare your life.”
“Yes.” Young Master Qingfeng swallowed the blood in his throat and stepped out of the room.
The Sect Master pinched his fingertip, paying no attention to him. After the Bestowal Divine Painting absorbed the blood he dripped, the Sect Master eagerly awaited the appearance of the person in the painting.
That one who managed to disrupt the plans of senior without angering them shouldn’t disappoint.

Pei Yunshu was working with Zhuyou and Bai Lige to decipher this peculiar painting from three different angles when suddenly the world shook, and a dizziness overcame him. When he regained consciousness, he found himself standing on solid ground.
Beneath his feet was a sturdy surface, and as Pei Yunshu looked up, a blue butterfly descended from above, fluttering in front of his eyes.
Pei Yunshu waved away the butterfly and quickly scanned his surroundings. He then fixed his gaze on the person standing beside a writing desk. “Is it you who sent this painting?”
The Sect Master did not reply, only carefully examining him. Afterward, he said to Pei Yunshu, “Come over, let me take a good look at you.”
Pei Yunshu caught sight of the painting on the table, which also included Zhuyou and Bai Lige. He sniffed lightly, detecting a faint scent of blood lingering in the air.
Without uttering a word, Pei Yunshu drew his Qingyue Sword and attacked the Sect Master.
The Sect Master, currently attended by servants cleaning the blood from his hands, saw the incoming attack. He leaned to the side, evading the first strike, but the subsequent strike followed immediately. The Sect Master had to grab a handkerchief from the servant and wiped the blood himself.
Pei Yunshu, having rigorously practiced swordsmanship during his trial in the Heart Demon Realm, unleashed strikes without consciously thinking about them. His attacks flowed naturally, one after another, swift and relentless.
The Sect Master exclaimed, tapping the tip of the Qingyue Sword with his fingertip, narrowly avoiding the life-threatening strike. “You seem different from the information I collected.”
Pei Yunshu’s eyes remained clear, focusing entirely on the Sect Master. He knew this person was extraordinary; thus, he dared not let his guard down.
While avoiding Pei Yunshu’s sword, the Sect Master continued observing, occasionally glancing at the corner of Pei Yunshu’s eye.
There, golden glitter sparkled, changing with each movement. Pei Yunshu’s sword, emitting a faint blue glow, was sharp and cold. His eyes were bright and focused, but the blue ink color at the corner added a touch of brilliance.
The Sect Master seemed to appreciate the blue color.
“Do you dare to be distracted while against my sword?” Pei Yunshu said coldly.
As the words fell, a water dragon appeared behind him out of nowhere, its enormous mouth opening menacingly as it followed the sword’s movement.
Pei Yunshu, with his left hand forming a seal, transformed the surrounding leaves into sharp blades that rushed into the room with a sharp whistling sound.
The Sect Master sighed, “Seems a bit troublesome.”
He clapped his hands, and numerous individuals hidden in the shadows sacrificed themselves. Dozens of them surrounded the hall, blocking the incoming leaves and the raging water dragon.
Some people intended to attack Pei Yunshu, but the Sect Master stopped them. He looked at Pei Yunshu and said, “Don’t disturb him.”
Pei Yunshu faced the onslaught of these forces without flinching. He stopped in the hall and slowly placed his sword in front of him.
A surge of energy wrapped around his sword, growing increasingly powerful until it formed a visible and distorted vortex.
Pei Yunshu’s eyes remained fixed on the sect master, their brilliance seemingly containing hidden light, shining brightly amid the swirling sword energy.
Among the subordinates held back on the side, some had already changed their expressions, ready to move forward at any command.
However, the sect master still wore a smile, half-expecting to see the magnitude of the forthcoming strike.
The impact was indeed substantial.
The overwhelming spiritual energy swept through the room like a mountainous force, injuring many of the guards with its impact. Pei Yunshu, gathering strength, advanced directly toward the sect master.
His black hair billowed in the wake of the spiritual and sword energy. The sect master easily sidestepped, only to see the triumphant gleam in Pei Yunshu’s eyes.
The sect master was momentarily stunned, then saw Pei Yunshu swiftly grab the painting from the table and, catching everyone off guard, dash out of the room.
“Intriguing,” the sect master remarked after a while.
“Go after him,” he said with interest, “but don’t pursue too closely. Let’s see what he can do.”
“And be sure not to harm the beauty.”

All I can think is Pei Yunshu must produce some god-tier pheromones to enthrall everyone that comes in contact with him, and that’s what is driving everyone to act so insane. Like maybe he is in fact a god of beauty/lust and doesn’t realize it.
