After Becoming a High-Risk Master, I Flipped the Script Chapter 134

When Mo Xuanli and Junhua infiltrated the place, the first thing they saw was the area where the illusion beasts were kept — then, the cave where the male merfolk were imprisoned.

Seeing all the males trapped in illusion, they finally understood why there had been so many beads.

Working together, the two quickly dispelled the illusions binding them, then broke the seals on their collars, restoring their strength. Junhua instructed the awakened merfolk to remain as they were, pretending to still be trapped — that way, they wouldn’t alert the enemy and could buy more time to rescue others deeper inside.

It was there that Mo Xuanli saw Gu Baiqing’s discarded clothing.

They guessed that Gu Baiqing had likely been mistaken for a merfolk because of the resemblance of his condition to the mermaid bead effect — and imprisoned here. Yet that in itself was strange. It was as though whoever had confined him lacked even basic intelligence; the people of Beast-Taming Manor should have been terrified of Gu Baiqing by now. Instead, they had locked him up like any ordinary merfolk — completely absurd.

But the very fact that he’d left such traces meant he must have escaped on his own.

Still, knowing that his master had once been placed under illusion and bound here — unable to use any spiritual power — made a deep, burning rage gather in Mo Xuanli’s chest.

They continued downward, seeing along the way many of those strange young men who had fought them earlier in the sea.

They were standing guard, showing no reaction to Mo Xuanli’s presence — but when they saw Junhua, their hostility flared violently.

After knocking out several of them, Mo Xuanli confirmed that their minds had been completely brainwashed — long-term, deeply ingrained conditioning. They were like puppets: devoid of thought, obeying commands without question.

And those commands, naturally, were all aimed at killing merfolk.

Junhua’s hatred toward them burned — she raised her weapon, ready to strike them down, when suddenly, from a dark corner nearby, came a hurried sound.

Ao Hang flashed past Mo Xuanli — then stopped, turned back, and said to Junhua, “You go.”

Junhua hesitated. Not an enemy?

She stepped into the shadows — and then stopped dead, eyes widening, pupils trembling until they dilated fully. Finally, she rushed forward.

The light of a spell flared — the glow of a seal being undone.

A hoarse voice slowly spoke: “Second Princess… it’s the Second Princess… don’t… don’t kill that child. He’s… Sister Yaya’s child. Those children… they are…”

Mo Xuanli didn’t step closer, but he heard the voice clearly — and in that instant, he understood everything.

His eyes widened in shock as he looked toward that group of delicate, youthful boys.

It was a forced birth… a human–merfolk hybrid, just like Gong Zixing’s child? No—different. Gong Zixing’s child was born out of love, would grow up healthy, and become a person like their parents.

But the ones here had no independent consciousness; they were brainwashed into weapons of war.

Mo Xuanli himself was a hybrid, so the deliberate creation of mixed bloods struck a deeper nerve in him than in anyone else.

So, he didn’t disturb Junhua.

Not until Junhua stepped out of the shadows again.

Her eyes were already dyed red with hatred—it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say she’d fallen into demonic obsession.

“Go!” Junhua spat the single word, her tone brimming with killing intent, and strode forward with her head down.

Mo Xuanli exchanged a glance with Ao Hang, then silently followed.

Suddenly, Junhua stopped and turned back to Mo Xuanli.

“The beast riot—there’s one situation in which it can reach an unstoppable peak.”

Mo Xuanli looked at her in confusion.

Ao Hang raised a brow, glancing at Mo Xuanli as if something had dawned on him.

“By forming an alliance with the royal family—one person as the lead, commanding all the merfolk, controlling the myriad beasts. The controller must have an unshakable will and powerful spiritual sense.”

Mo Xuanli’s expression changed slightly.

“Xuanli, if Ao Hang continues to follow you from now on, would you be willing to form an alliance with us?” Junhua suddenly asked.

Mo Xuanli was taken aback, staring at him in confusion. “I’m only a disciple of Zixiao Sect. If you truly seek protection, you can negotiate with my sect. What’s happening here is no longer merely between your merfolk clan and the Beast-Taming Manor. Such atrocities won’t be tolerated in the cultivation world.”

“No, the alliance we wish to make is different. Power like this—we’ll only entrust it to someone we truly trust, not to a sect or a faction. I trust only you or your master. But I can’t bear for your master to shoulder this burden—he’s too kind, too pure, not suited for it. I… rather like him,” Junhua said with a bitter smile.

To have someone like Gu Baiqing slaughter all who persecuted the merfolk—Junhua knew Gu Baiqing couldn’t do it, nor did she want someone like him tainted by blood.

But Mo Xuanli, who had skirted the edge of demonic madness several times—he was the most likely candidate.

“Besides, aren’t you searching for the fragments of the God-Slaying Sword? I imagine it won’t be easy. Perhaps you’ll need power behind you as support. And we, too, need the protection of someone as clever as you, someone destined to become strong.”

As Junhua spoke, her thoughts began to clear. Mo Xuanli might not be powerful now, but he would be in the future—all they needed was time. And though Junhua admitted it was shameless, the merfolk clan’s hatred had long since crushed every shred of dignity she had left, leaving her drowning in pain and despair. Yet, in Mo Xuanli, she saw hope.

“Of course, if you and Ao Hang ever part ways, forget what I said. I have no wish to harm you,” Junhua said, forcing a steadiness into his voice.

“Hey, I am going to leave. Isn’t your proposal a bit ridiculous?” Ao Hang said.

“Not necessarily. Three Bean can’t be separated from his master and disciple, and you—you long for freedom.” Watching Ao Hang’s excitement after gaining some freedom, Junhua didn’t believe he’d willingly go back. If being a contract beast was the only way to roam the world freely, then among all choices, there were only one or two worth choosing.

And Junhua believed Ao Hang would choose Mo Xuanli.

Unexpectedly, after hearing this, Ao Hang didn’t deny the possibility.

Suddenly, Mo Xuanli spoke. “I am a human–demon hybrid.”

Junhua froze instantly, staring at him.

“No matter what reason you have for wanting to form an alliance with me, thank you for your trust. But this is my secret. My master doesn’t know—please keep it confidential.”

Though his strength was still insufficient, Junhua was still willing to take the gamble. How could Mo Xuanli keep hiding the truth?

Then again, perhaps he didn’t care how Junhua would react after knowing. Sooner or later, he would have to tell his master the truth about his past—he just wanted to wait until he could stand before him completely untainted.

The merfolk despised the demon race. For him, bearing demonic blood was unforgivable.

Suddenly, Junhua smiled. “Then you need power all the more. And we… aren’t our fates nearly the same?”

The merfolk and hybrids—both equally tragic in their own way.

Mo Xuanli paused, his expression shifting in complex ways.

Junhua patted him on the shoulder. “My offer is sincere. Think carefully about it.”

With that, she turned and continued forward.

Ao Hang spoke up. “If you refuse her, she’ll join forces with the beast demons. She can’t hold back this hatred.”

Mo Xuanli nodded. When Junhua had spoken to him just now, though her tone was calm, her eyes had already turned utterly cold. Mo Xuanli knew then—Junhua had reached the end of her choices.

But things like this weren’t simple. He would need to discuss it with his master. Even if he did want that power—for only the strong can face all upheaval without fear—if his master disapproved, he would give it up.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Gu Baiqing looked down to see Yu Yingwan suppressing Fu Ye. Despite Fu Ye’s physical prowess, he quickly lost the strength to resist.

Yu Chun laughed. “From the looks of it, you don’t intend to strike. I’ve told you so much, yet you still don’t understand? In the past, only female merfolk came ashore, so the mermaid beads could only be harvested for men’s use. That meant you had no chance of obtaining a bead yourself, no right of inheritance. But now that you’ve got your own bead, things are different. What’s wrong? Now that you’re bonded, you can’t bear to harm him?”

“I told you—it’s none of your business. You talk too much. If you’re done, get out.” Yu Yingwan said coldly.

Yu Chun chuckled. “Wan’er, don’t tell me you’ve fallen for these filthy merfolk. If your uncle finds out, he’ll die of rage.”

The moment the words left his mouth, Yu Yingwan’s blade flashed. Yu Chun dodged instantly, counterattacking with equal speed—his movements so sharp that Yu Yingwan was caught off guard. As she blocked, she heard him laugh lightly.

“Your heart’s in turmoil.”

Yu Yingwan’s expression changed in an instant—just as she felt a gust of cold air sweep from below. Before she could react, Yu Chun’s kick landed squarely in her abdomen, slamming her hard against the wall. She spat out a mouthful of blood.

But even while coughing up blood, Yu Yingwan retaliated fiercely.

Yet Yu Chun was still a step faster—his hand shot out and clamped around her throat.

Above, Gu Baiqing was stunned. He remembered Yu Yingwan being stronger than Yu Chun—so how was she now being overpowered like this…?

“You… could it be you’ve also eaten a mermaid bead?” Among the two of them, Yu Yingwan knew best how their strengths compared. Back when they fought together in the sea, Yu Chun had been no match for her. For him to advance so rapidly now—either he’d been hiding his true strength all along, or, as she’d just said, he’d consumed a mermaid bead.

“That’s why,” Yu Chun said with contempt, slapping her across the face, “I, as your older brother, warned you to try it yourself. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be in this sorry state now. I know you can’t bear to hurt that little shark of yours—but now that we’ve captured so many male merfolk, as long as Uncle puts his mind to it, he can make you a mermaid bead too, to raise your power. That, I don’t like. So wouldn’t it be better if you just died?”

“Would you dare?” Yu Yingwan glared at him fearlessly.

Yu Chun chuckled. “Why wouldn’t I dare? It’s not like I’ll be the one to strike. For instance… you couldn’t bear to kill your little merfolk, and when you tried to set him free, he turned on you—you died at his hands. By the time I arrived, it was already too late.”

As he spoke, Yu Chun raised his dagger to stab at her throat—but Yu Yingwan was not someone who waited meekly to be slaughtered. In an instant, she twisted free despite the wound at her neck, and the two of them clashed inside the secret chamber.

Though consuming a mermaid bead had enhanced Yu Chun’s potential, cultivation power didn’t skyrocket instantly. Their gap wasn’t large. Against Yu Yingwan’s reckless, life-for-life fighting style, Yu Chun found himself strained. But he was despicable enough—grabbing the nearby Fu Ye and dragging him in front of him as a shield, he forcibly stopped Yu Yingwan’s sword.

Yu Chun seized the opening to attack again, and this time Yu Yingwan had no strength left to block—she was struck down hard to the ground, gravely wounded.

Just as Yu Chun raised his weapon for the killing blow—right below the cave opening where Gu Baiqing was hiding—Gu Baiqing hesitated for a moment. He didn’t dislike Yu Yingwan, but he wouldn’t risk himself for her either. However, Yu Yingwan’s fate was now tied to Fu Ye’s. Though Yu Yingwan’s death wouldn’t mean Fu Ye’s immediate end, without someone to feed him blood afterward, Fu Ye would inevitably perish.

Gritting his teeth, Gu Baiqing grabbed a rock and hurled it from the hole above—striking Yu Chun squarely.

Yu Chun deflected the stone and looked up sharply—only to be pelted in the face by a cascade of pearls, raining down like a sudden pearl storm.

They were all the pearls Gu Baiqing had casually collected while passing through the rooms.

Yu Chun clearly hadn’t expected anyone else to be there—and certainly not such a purely physical attack. His focus broke. Swinging his sword, he slashed open the ceiling above, sending rocks crashing down in chaos.

By the time he regained his bearings, Yu Yingwan and Fu Ye were gone.

Enraged, Yu Chun barked as his subordinates rushed over, alarmed by the noise. “We just saw the young lady running off carrying someone!” one of them reported hurriedly.

“Go after them,” Yu Chun snapped. “Say they turned on each other. When you catch up, there should only be the young lady’s corpse. Don’t mess it up.”

His men immediately nodded. “Master, you—”

Yu Chun’s gaze turned cold and venomous as he looked up toward the opening above. A flash of murderous intent crossed his face. He wanted to see which little rat had the gall to ruin his plans.

Meanwhile, the two who had already freed all the merfolk suddenly heard the commotion and quickly hid, just in time to see someone running past.

“Yu Yingwan,” Mo Xuanli said.

“She’s carrying something,” Junhua murmured, her heart tightening. “Could it be…”

“This area’s nearly cleared. Let’s split up,” Mo Xuanli said. “You go check—it might be her. I’ll keep going down.”

Junhua suspected what Yu Yingwan was carrying was Fu Ye, and immediately nodded. “I’ll try to wait for your signal. If anything unusual happens—if you hear the merfolk’s soundwaves—you must leave the mountain immediately.”

“I understand,” Mo Xuanli said. “Once I find my master, I’ll send you a sign.”

They split off swiftly.

He had clearly seen Yu Yingwan was injured. For her to have been hurt here, something must have gone wrong—could it be connected to his master?

He was close now. Closer and closer.

“Kid, something’s definitely off,” Ao Hang muttered from Mo Xuanli’s shoulder. “There’s… something—I can’t tell what—building up power fast. And… something else that makes me feel very uneasy.”

Ao Hang had been away from the cultivation world for too long. He could sense things, but couldn’t describe them precisely.

Mo Xuanli didn’t have Ao Hang’s sharp perception—he could only feel one thing clearly: the master-disciple bond.

Meanwhile, Gu Baiqing, dragging his injured leg, was scrambling clumsily through the upper tunnels.

He had bought Yu Yingwan time to escape. He’d seen her flee with Fu Ye, but hadn’t avoided Yu Chun’s strike himself—his thigh was wounded badly. With no spiritual energy to heal, the pain was excruciating, yet he didn’t dare stop to bandage it.

Three Bean scurried ahead, scouting the path. Just as they reached a fork, the stones beneath them suddenly trembled.

Gu Baiqing reacted instantly, grabbing Three Bean and rolling back—an upward blast shattered the rock wall where they’d just stood.

The surrounding stone collapsed. Gu Baiqing had no time to flee—he fell along with the debris.

When he saw Yu Chun’s figure below, Gu Baiqing really wanted to roll his eyes—but the next second, he was nearly strangled into unconsciousness.

As he tried to escape, Yu Chun’s sharp eyes caught the trailing chain attached to Gu Baiqing’s collar and yanked it—hauling him back in one brutal motion.

As Yu Chun pulled him close, Gu Baiqing suddenly remembered—this guy liked men—and immediately felt revolted, his whole body crawling with discomfort.

“Well, what a surprise—it’s you. An unexpected delight. What’s this? You’re trapped? Weren’t you the mighty one? Now you can’t use any spiritual power at all? Haha, what is this—offering yourself up to me?”

Gu Baiqing jabbed an elbow backward, but Yu Chun dodged easily—though he did loosen his grip. Then, still holding the chain, he dragged Gu Baiqing along as he leapt forward. Because of Gu Baiqing’s resistance, the chain bit cruelly into his neck.

By the time the pulling sensation stopped, they were already in an empty room. When Gu Baiqing saw the stone bed carved out of the rock in the center, his expression changed instantly.

Before he could resist, Yu Chun had already flung him onto the stone bed. The chains in Yu Chun’s hands wound tightly around Gu Baiqing’s wrists, binding them to the iron frame beside the bed.

That rogue’s speed made Gu Baiqing’s scalp prickle. His hands couldn’t move, so he kicked out with his feet—only for Yu Chun to catch his calf and lift it up.

Yu Chun moved as if he were rushing to reincarnate—quickly forcing his way between Gu Baiqing’s legs. His face was twisted with impatient greed, every second seeming a battle against time itself.

“Do you know how long I’ve thought about that night?” Yu Chun’s voice trembled with madness. “You’ve become my heart demon. I never thought I’d get another chance—but now that I have, I’ll make sure to completely have you this time.” He greedily inhaled the faint scent of cold plum clinging to Gu Baiqing.

He had imagined, countless times, what kind of pleasure could make that Mo Xuanli show such a look that morning. He’d nearly gone insane from fantasizing.

He thought he’d never get another chance in this lifetime. Yet unexpectedly, Gu Baiqing had come right to his door—and was even wearing his outer robe!

That was temptation itself—it was heaven pitying him!

Yu Chun’s voice almost cracked.

This time, he didn’t waste words—he reached straight out to act.

Three Bean finally arrived, leaping forward with a shrill cry and scratching furiously, but Yu Chun struck him with one palm, sending him flying, limp, to the side.

Gu Baiqing turned his head in shock, unable to make a sound—and the next instant, there came a sharp tearing noise.

Gu Baiqing’s brain froze. When he turned his head, he saw in Yu Chun’s hand—his own torn trousers.

This b*stard actually wanted to do it directly!

The cold of the stone bed seeped into his body, mingling with disgust and spreading through every nerve.

Even though Yu Chun hadn’t yet done anything—just leaned down—Gu Baiqing already found it unbearable.

He was a grown man—being stripped like this, how could he endure it?

Even if it were Mo Xuanli out of control, Gu Baiqing would’ve beaten him up. Let alone this scum—he was going to kill him!

Gu Baiqing’s pupils contracted sharply; spiritual energy surged within him. The collar around his neck began to tremble faintly—but Yu Chun didn’t notice any of it. His eyes were completely drowned in his tortured lust, heedless of consequences or surroundings. In his mind, there was only one word left—desire.

Yet in the very next second, the entire room seemed swept by a strange, crushing pressure.

Gu Baiqing, mid-burst of power, suddenly froze—his spiritual energy halted.

【Demonization Value: 1 1 1 1…】

The rapid alarm sound instantly snapped Gu Baiqing’s mind awake. He turned his head—and saw a white figure standing in the doorway.

In that instant, black-red flames burst forth from the white figure’s body. A flash of red light—and Yu Chun, who had been on top of him, was hurled into the wall as if every bone in his body had shattered.

And the person now on top of Gu Baiqing—was Mo Xuanli.

Voice actor Gu Baiqing wakes up one day to find himself transmigrated—into none other than the Master shou character he once voiced. Shocking! This was that ultra-risque novel full of “pushing-the-limits” plots and chapter after chapter of predatory tension! In the original story, his disciple Mo Xuanli, after turning demonic, was consumed with all kinds of unspeakable desires for his master Gu Baiqing— And he acted on every single one of them. He tricked him body and soul, leading to a torturous love-hate relationship filled with mutual obsession and emotional wreckage. So now, every time Gu Baiqing sees his gentle and obedient disciple, he shivers. In these types of Master novels, the masters always end up doomed because they’re too good to their beautiful, strong, and tragically tormented disciples. While others take the punishment for their disciples, he grabs the whip and personally dishes it out. He absolutely refuses to let Mo Xuanli say one good thing about him.He must crush any improper thoughts in the bud. Of course, he can’t go too far. A blackened Mo Xuanli is seriously scary. All Gu Baiqing wants is to peacefully be a cold, aloof, and proper teacher while completing the system’s cultivation task. Really, it’s a legit teaching task! But why is Mo Xuanli looking at him more and more strangely, with eyes full of complicated emotion, as if he’s constantly holding something back? Until one day, Gu Baiqing is hit with a horrifying realization…. He may have transmigrated into the wrong book. This is actually a BG (boy-girl) world?! Mo Xuanli never had any betrayal or taboo thoughts—he’s truly a model disciple, loyal, pure, and filial! Overjoyed, Gu Baiqing thinks he no longer needs to worry about being “eyed” by his disciple. That is… until Mo Xuanli, finally pushed to the brink by his master’s constant cold-and-hot treatment, eyes reddening, snaps. The loyal dog bares its fangs, traps his master, and lowers his head to bite at his nape with a hoarse voice laced with danger and heat: “Master, you can treat me worse if you want, I won’t get mad. But if you ever abandon me… I’ll make you pay. Severely. Gu Baiqing, who just ditched Mo Xuanli five minutes ago: He’s got a soft temper. Probably just bluffing with words, right? First night of rebellion: This disciple is not normal!! Nth night, master’s back injury: Are you really sure I transmigrated into the wrong book?!
