In the end, Jiang Fuyue bought two detached villas, with Xiao Ling handling the entire signing process.
One villa was registered in her name, and the other in the names of her parents, Jiang Da and Han Yunru.
The manager stood by, watching the transaction. When the bank card was swiped, and 120 million yuan instantly credited, his eyes turned green with envy.
Meanwhile, Zheng Qian had disappeared entirely, nowhere to be seen.
Xiao Ling handed over the keys, “Here are the keys. We will send cleaners tonight, so you can move in anytime. The property certificates will take about a month to process. We will need you to come to the sales center to collect them then.”
Jiang Fuyue paid for three years of property management fees in one go.
Two hours later, everything was settled.
Xiao Ling suggested, “Uncle, Auntie, would you like me to show you the house?”
Jiang Da looked at his wife for a decision.
Han Yunru, seeing the anticipation in her daughter’s eyes and the curiosity in her son’s, nodded, “Sure.”
“Great!”
True to its reputation as a prestigious residential area in Linhuai, the entrance was constructed from 128 pieces of marble, with exquisite carvings, making it exceptionally grand.
Xiao Ling explained, “The Yutian Huafu estate is vast. So far, five phases have been completed, with twelve more planned, all focused on villa units. This area, Phase 3, is centrally located with the best views, hence all are detached villas. Phases 1 and 2 feature split-level homes, and Phases 4 and 5 have row houses, none of which compare to this area, and naturally, the prices are also much higher here.”
Jiang Fuyue was particularly concerned about security.
“You can rest assured about that. Yutian Huafu’s security is not outsourced. It’s handled by the security company under the parent company, focusing solely on this estate. Split-level and row houses have patrols every three hours, while detached villas have patrols every forty minutes with random checks in between.”
Xiao Ling pointed out, “See that team? They just finished patrolling the A1 area. Another team is already preparing to head out, so the security presence is continuous throughout the estate.”
Jiang Fuyue observed the security guards. Their steps were steady and orderly, without any joking or playful behavior, which pleased her.
Seeing this, Xiao Ling added, “The owners of the detached villas here are either wealthy or prominent. The developer would not take any chances with their personal and property safety. The main selling points of these villas were their security and privacy, and many celebrities have bought properties here.”
“Okay,” Jiang Fuyue nodded.
“The electric car is here. Let’s go.”
Jiang Da, who had been somewhat bewildered since arriving, was even more so now, “We need to take an electric car?”
“Yes,” Xiao Ling invited the family of four to get on.
Once everyone was seated, she explained, “Because detached villas require high privacy, the villas are spaced far apart, making the estate very large. The two units in A3 you bought are in the best location, just five minutes by electric car, or three minutes by car.”
Jiang Da was concerned, “What about those who don’t drive? If driving takes three minutes, walking would take much longer. Isn’t that inconvenient?”
He hadn’t considered that with his daughter’s wealth, he could live a leisurely life without working. He still planned to run his pancake stall, as his daughter’s money was hers, and he couldn’t live off her earnings.
“Don’t worry about transportation. Each detached villa comes with two sedans, five electric cars, and twelve mountain bikes. If that’s not enough, you can request more from the property management,” Xiao Ling reassured him.
Jiang Da was surprised, “Are these all free to use?”
“Of course. These are included with the villa purchase. They’re yours to use or have the property management retrieve them if you don’t want them.”
“No, no, we won’t return them.”
Jiang Da quickly waved his hand.
Sitting in the electric car, Jiang Xiao looked at the beautiful scenery passing by, thinking this would be his new home.
Soon, the electric car stopped in front of the villa.
The stunning landscape along the way was nothing compared to the “double shock to the senses and the soul” they felt inside the villa.
The spacious and bright living room had large floor-to-ceiling windows facing the yard, which was lush with flowers and had a charming pavilion.
Guest rooms were on the first floor.
The master bedroom was on the second floor, each with large bay windows and en-suite bathrooms, providing excellent natural light.
The third floor housed an entertainment area, including a home theater, gym, music room, and game room.
The top floor was divided into a sunroom and an open-air café, complete with a barbecue area and a small kitchen.
Xiao Ling continued, “The basement is a reception room, and the sub-basement connects to the garage and can be used for storage.”
After the tour, Jiang Da’s legs were still trembling from the experience. He remained dazed as they returned home.
Jiang Xiao asked, “Mom, what’s wrong with Dad?”
Han Yunru laughed, “He’s just not used to moving from the countryside to the big city.”
“I understand, Dad is a sparrow!”
Han Yunru playfully tapped his nose, “You’re so clever!”
“So what about me and Sister? Are we little sparrows?”
“?”
“And Mom? Are you a mother sparrow?”
“…”
After dinner, Jiang Fuyue took out the villa keys and placed them on the table, “Dad, Mom, let’s move tomorrow.”
Han Yunru hesitated for a moment, then looked at Jiang Da, who was still in a daze. She decided not to bother him.
“Okay,” she agreed.
That night, Han Yunru went upstairs to inform the landlady about their plan to move out.
“So soon? Did something happen?” the landlady asked anxiously.
“No, it’s just that with the children growing up, sharing one room is no longer suitable. Plus, with Chenxing’s recent illness, we’ve decided to move to a bigger place,” Han Yunru explained.
“Have you found a place?”
Han Yunru smiled and nodded, “Yes, we have.”
“Where?”
Han Yunru hesitated, “Well…”
“Why can’t you tell me?” the landlady asked, puzzled.
“It’s not that…” Han Yunru was reluctant to say.
The landlady thought they had found a less desirable place and said, “Don’t go for cheap sublet houses. They can be troublesome. My place may not be great, but it’s affordable. I’ve never let you down, have I?”
“Thank you for your care over the years. I appreciate it.”
“Then keep renting here. Let one of the kids stay in a dorm.”
“This…”
“No more hesitation. Keep renting. It’ll save me the trouble of finding a new tenant.”
“It’s really not possible.”
The landlady’s smile faded, “Why are you being like this? We’ve known each other for years. Why leave?”
“It’s not rented…”
“So you bought a place?”
Uh-oh.
Han Yunru reluctantly nodded.
“You bought a house?!”
“Yes…”
“How is that possible? Your pancake stall doesn’t earn more than 2,000 yuan a day. How did you buy a house? Where? It must be far away, right? Did you use all your savings and borrow money? That’s not a good idea. The travel costs will add up!”
“…”
Seeing Han Yunru’s reluctance, the landlady sighed, “So, you’re determined to move. Fine, but I won’t refund the remaining two months’ rent.”
Han Yunru frowned, “We agreed…”
“Agreed on what? You bought a house and still need this rent?”
