After Rebirth, I Am the White Moonlight of All The Big Brothers Chapter 75

Chapter 75: Assembling the Computer, Fierce or not

<Previous Chapter<Table of Contents>Next Chapter>

“Sister, are you buying a computer?”

“Why don’t you buy it on the first floor? I saw many brand stores there.”

“There’s nothing I want there.”

Jiang Chenxing thought for a moment. “You can buy it online! Just search, and you can find everything.”

“You can’t buy it online either.”

Soon, Jiang Chenxing understood the reason.

It was because Jiang Fuyue wanted a custom-built computer!

The shop owner asked, “Which parts do you want to change, keep, or remove? Base, LCD display, motherboard, processor, hard drive, optical drive…”

“Take everything apart,” Jiang Fuyue replied.

The owner glanced at her. “Young lady, taking everything apart is not cheap.”

Implied meaning: Can you afford it?

“Don’t worry, follow my instructions. As long as the components are fine, you won’t lose out.”

Heh, such a young age, but talking so confidently.

Soon, the shop owner had to put away their dismissive attitude. Beads of sweat the size of soybeans rolled down their cheek.

Jiang Fuyue said, “Intel Core i9-9980HK processor (2.4GHz L316M), 3x 512GB SSD for storage, dedicated graphics card GeForce RTX 2080, USB Type-C, 3 USB 3.1 Gen2, 1 Gen1…”

She clearly came prepared.

“Boss, I want at least 64GB of RAM. Are you sure the one you have can reach the speed I want when installed?”

The shop owner’s hand froze in mid-air. “S-sorry, I grabbed the wrong one…”

Jiang Fuyue didn’t say anything, just smiled as she watched him put the item back and carefully take out a new one from the cabinet. She compared and confirmed the parameters before gently installing it.

“Miss, let me tell you, I do business with integrity. I didn’t do it on purpose earlier. Please don’t misunderstand…”

She completely ignored his flowery speech, paying him no attention.

As they progressed, the shop owner probably found it boring and focused on their work, no longer speaking.

Of course, they didn’t dare to use low-end, cheap products to deceive her anymore.

Jiang Chenxing observed everything, deep in thought.

After an hour, the assembly was complete. Jiang Fuyue inspected the computer and pointed out two areas for the shop owner to improve.

After a final check, ensuring there were no issues, she paid with her credit card.

After Jiang Fuyue gave a specific number for the price, the shop owner considered it for two seconds and nodded in agreement.

He could tell that she was an expert!

Don’t even think about overcharging her, but it was still a decent profit for him.

“All the young girls nowadays are this awesome…”

Jiang Chenxing, slightly behind, happened to hear this muttering. He turned back and flashed a friendly smile at the shop owner, “Uncle, it’s not ‘all the young girls nowadays,’ it’s just my sister who’s this awesome!”

After leaving computer city, the siblings found a place to eat.

“Aren’t we going home?” Jiang Chenxing sat in his chair, swinging his little legs.

Jiang Fuyue confidently ordered the dishes, closed the menu under the bewildered gaze of the waiter, and said, “Do you want to go home to eat? I don’t mind. Let’s go.”

“No, no… I don’t want to.” His face turned red.

His adorable pouting caught the attention of the waiter.

“You’ve worked hard today. Consider this a reward.”

Jiang Chenxing shyly smiled, burying his chin in his collar, feeling happy~

“Please add two more sets of bowls and chopsticks.”

“Huh? Are there other people?” Jiang Chenxing looked curious.

“Yes, your classmate.”

As soon as they mentioned it, Hu Ben led Little Pudgy into the restaurant, smiling and nodding at Jiang Fuyue. Then, he forcefully sat his chubby little brother down in a chair opposite Jiang Chenxing.

The two little friends were stunned when their eyes met.

“Sister…” Jiang Chenxing turned and grabbed Jiang Fuyue’s clothes, his eyes filled with anxiety. “Why is he here?”

Hu Ben cleared his throat lightly. “Zheng Yonglin, what are you standing there for? Aren’t you going to apologize?”

“I won’t!”

“Say it again?” Hu Ben glared at him.

The chubby boy instantly wilted and looked at Jiang Chenxing with a pitiful expression. “Sorry…”

Jiang Chenxing was startled by the sudden turn of events and turned to his sister with inquiring eyes, but Jiang Fuyue didn’t even spare him a glance.

The message was clear: Accept or reject the decision on your own.

After a while, Jiang Chenxing said, “…It’s… fine.”

The chubby boy beamed with joy.

But his smile lasted only two seconds when Jiang Chenxing continued, “But you can’t bully me in the future or ask me to do your homework,” he paused and added softly, “and not others either…”

The chubby boy secretly swore to himself to reclaim his position, “Huh?” I suspect you’ve taken up residence in my heart.

“Cough!” Hu Ben coughed heavily.

The chubby boy quickly nodded, “Won’t bully, won’t bully…” secretly crying inside like a fierce tiget.

Finally, the dishes were served, and the next ten minutes flew by without stopping.

“Can we finish all this?” Hu Ben doubted.

Jiang Chenxing spoke seriously, with great determination, “We can finish it!”

Why did everyone ask the same question? Another question sign appeared in the little boy’s mind.

“Your dishes are all here, a total of 28 dishes. Enjoy your meal.”

The two little ones couldn’t wait to pick up their chopsticks, while Jiang Fuyue took a sip of tea calmly and asked, “How’s the investigation going?”

Hu Ben’s eyes flickered slightly, “These past few days, Little Six and I conducted a preliminary screening online. Currently, there are approximately 2,000 bars that can be searched within Linhuai City. About 1,000 of them are clearly not suitable, so we’ll have to visit the rest in person.”

“Hmm.” At least he had some brains to do an initial screening.

“Yesterday, Little Six and I visited 16 places in Linnan District. Two of them had blue signs, golden gates, and seven money trees. I took photos…” Hu Ben handed over his phone. “If we further confirm, I plan to take Little Six tonight to count the private rooms and examine the lighting.”

Jiang Fuyue took the phone, zoomed in, and shook her head after five seconds. “None of them.”

“But… the blue and gold… clearly…” Hu Ben stumbled over his words.

“The plants in front of the doors were lucky bamboos, not money trees.”

It was quite embarrassing.

While the older siblings were chatting, the two little ones were not idle; they were competing to see who could eat more.

Chubby Boy: Look at my physique, and you’ll know how fierce I am! I’m the aggressive type!

Jiang Chenxing: You think you’re tough? I’m even fiercer than you!

The food battle silently began.

When Jiang Fuyue and Hu Ben finished their conversation and were ready to start eating, most of the dishes on the table were already gone.

The chubby boy held his stomach with both hands, too full to open his eyes wide. “Brother, I… burp… I’m so full…”

Jiang Chenxing sent him a disdainful glance: Still fierce?

The chubby boy shrunk his neck, utterly intimidated. You’re fierce, you’re the fiercest.

“Sis, this is for you.” Jiang Chenxing picked up two pieces of sweet and sour spare ribs and put them in Jiang Fuyue’s bowl.

Luckily, he was clever enough to save two pieces for himself, or Zheng Yonglin would have eaten them all.

Hu Ben looked at his empty bowl and then at Jiang Fuyue’s. Both were little brothers, so why was there such a big difference?

After finishing their meal, Jiang Fuyue paid the bill, and they parted ways at the entrance of the restaurant, each going home.

“Sis, do you know Zheng Yonglin’s brother?” Jiang Chenxing asked.

“But all our classmates say that Zheng Yonglin’s brother is a bad guy involved in the underworld.”

Jiang Fuyue patted his fluffy head. “Are you worried about me?”

“Yeah!” Jiang Chenxing nodded vigorously. “If Zheng Yonglin’s brother is a bad guy, let’s not eat with him anymore, okay?”

“Then do you think he’s a good person or a bad person?”

“I… don’t know.”

“Then let’s wait until you can judge whether he’s a good person or a bad person before we decide whether to eat with him.”

“Okay!” Wait, something doesn’t seem quite right?
