Dong Du’s tongue was full of the sweetness of the lollipop. His mind buzzed, and then a flash of insight struck him. Could this lunatic actually like him?

He doesn’t go for male partners!

Dong Du, who was stunned on the spot, swallowed his saliva, curled into a small ball. He carefully took the lollipop out of his mouth and handed it to Novisane, “Here, take it back.”

Novisane hesitated for a moment before reaching out to take it, but when he was about to grab it, Dong Du withdrew his hand, saying, “Never mind. Returning it to you might make things even more perverted.”

“Perverted?” Novisane squatted down, trapping Dong Du between his legs. “How is it perverted?”

Dong Du, blushing for once, gritted his teeth to express his dissatisfaction. “You can experience it for yourself.”

Novisane tightened his legs, as if intending to let Dong Du witness something even more perverted, but before he could, the door to the life pod was knocked. The visitor knocked fast and urgently. Novisane stood up, lifting Dong Du backward with one hand, and then opened the door.

“Your Excellency, that thing is probably waking up.” Tang Wencen stood at the door with a bloody face.

Novisane wrinkled his nose and took a step back, “Where is Clos’s person?”

“All the people on the city of wandering have retreated. Hanchester is seriously injured, and Zhu Di took him back to the Black Gold Fortress.” Tang Wencen wiped his face, but there was a long cut on his profile that couldn’t be wiped away.

“Go deal with the wounds first,” Novisane said in a deep voice. “Notify the cockpit to return to the capital star at full speed.”

“Wait, I want to go back.” Dong Du grabbed Novisane’s sleeve. “Hanchester is injured, and I want to go back to see him.”

Tang Wencen had already left. Novisane supported the door leaf with one hand, staring at him, “Do you like that officer of Zhu Di?”

“What like or dislike? Hanchester and I are friends.” Dong Du said solemnly, “I won’t break my promise to you. After I go back and see Hanchester, I will come to you.”

Novisane silently unwrapped a lollipop and placed it in his mouth. Then, he reached back and pulled Dong Du’s hand, pushing him into the room. With a swift motion, he closed the door behind them. Dong Du immediately went to pull the door, but the single door was already securely locked.

Dong Du kicked the door with a thud, but the life pod’s door was made of steel, and such a kick was as good as nothing to the door.

Tang Wencen, covering his bloodied face, cautiously stared at Novisane, who was crunching the lollipop. “Why didn’t you say your original plan?”

Novisane glanced at Tang Wencen. “He cares about others, and I don’t like it.”

Tang Wencen: “…”

If he didn’t care so much about his own safety, he really wanted to remind his prime minister that this was only their second meeting, and the omega couldn’t possibly be so concerned about him.

But he dared not say it; his Excellency, the Prime Minister, had no sympathy for human emotions.

Dong Du’s little face turned red with anger inside the life pod. Every time he felt unhappy, he would go and kick the door a few times. Novisane stood at the door, listening to the commotion created by Dong Du. Tang Wencen came over after bandaging his wound, but Novisane hadn’t moved at all.

“What’s going on…?” Tang Wencen hadn’t finished asking when he heard the person inside kicking the door loudly. He preferred gentle and tender omega, and his prime minister seemed to be a bit too aggressive in choosing this one. He cleared his throat, casually changing the subject, “Your Excellency, shall we discuss things outside the door?”

Novisane tossed the lollipop stick at Tang Wencen. “Go inside.”

Tang Wencen scratched his head and, under Novisane’s gaze as he stepped aside, knocked on the door. When there was no response from inside, Tang Wencen took the initiative to push the door open. However, as soon as the door opened, a little foot descended from above, kicking him far away.

Tang Wencen: “…”

Wait, why did this happen?

Dong Du, seeing that it wasn’t Novisane who got kicked, stuck half of his head out of the door, staring at Tang Wencen. “Sorry, it was a mistake.”

Novisane, hands in his pockets, circled around him and entered the life pod. “Get up quickly; we need to discuss important matters. Little Peach, you too.”

Dong Du, huffing, followed Novisane into the life pod and complained, “Don’t call me Little Peach; giving people nicknames is impolite!”

Tang Wencen, having climbed up from the floor, sat at the table after entering and closing the door. Dong Du and Novisane were ready, both staring at him. Novisane was still displeased, and he wouldn’t willingly disclose information to Dong Du.

“Second Prince.” Tang Wencen pondered for a moment and took the initiative, “What we need to discuss next is the itinerary after returning to the capital star.”

Dong Du raised his chin, crossed his arms, and looked at Tang Wencen disdainfully. “Tell me, why should I listen to you? Your prime minister is right here; aren’t you afraid of his punishment?”

Novisane’s fingers rapidly tapped on the table, remaining silent. He maintained a slight smile while locking eyes with Dong Du, treating him like an indulged pet, letting him make a fuss.

Tang Wencen felt like the prime minister’s intelligence had regressed by a hundred years. If he had been like this before, there was no way he could have become prime minister overcoming Jarvis.

Without immediately continuing to speak, Novisane urged him, “Go on.”

“After arriving at the capital star, we will immediately apply for permission to go to the Black Gold Fortress. So, Second Prince, there’s no need to worry. We will rush to the Black Gold Fortress at full speed when the time comes.” Tang Wencen didn’t bother with any preamble between the two. He spoke directly, “By then, King Xi Yuan may also visit the Black Gold Fortress.”

“What are you going to do at the Black Gold Fortress? If King Xi Yuan is also going, what kind of summit meeting are you planning at the Black Gold Fortress?” Dong Du, maintaining his pose, glanced at Novisane with suspicion, “Are you trying to deceive me?”

“What’s in the Wanderer City, don’t you see?” Novisane’s finger tapping on the table slowed down. “According to the current drift speed and direction of the land, not long from now, it will drift over the Black Gold Fortress. The new species coming through the black hole is not something an empire can confront. Moreover, both our countries know very little about it. The best course of action is to share research results.”

“A new species coming through the black hole…” Dong Du leaned on the table with both hands. “If it goes back through the black hole, can it not return to its original place?”

“Thinking quite beautifully,” Novisane chuckled.

Dong Du snorted and then turned his hopeful gaze to Tang Wencen. “I kicked you just now; are you okay?”

Tang Wencen, enduring Novisane’s sharp gaze, forced a smile. “I’m fine.”

“That’s good, that’s good.” Dong Du shifted his chair a bit closer to Tang Wencen. “Do you understand black holes, you know, traversing and all that?”

Tang Wencen remained silent. He watched as Novisane reached out, pinching Dong Du’s chin between two fingers and turning his face towards himself. “He doesn’t understand; I do.”

Dong Du raised his hand, gripping Novisane’s cheek. “Let go of me.”

Novisane stiffened all over, and after a moment of confusion, he suddenly burst into laughter. “This is the first time someone has pulled my cheek.”

Dong Du didn’t respond, and he even pulled Novisane’s cheek a couple more times.

Novisane’s eyes were full of amusement. He let go of Dong Du’s cheek and reciprocated, grabbing Dong Du’s cheek. Neither wanted to show weakness, and both ended up with reddened cheeks.

Tang Wencen: At this moment, I am very afraid.

He wished he could create an earth shield.

The patrol ship, moving at full speed, soon arrived at the Capital Star of Yars. Yars was a theocracy, and every time someone returned from a significant journey, the bishop and his followers would come to welcome them. The welcoming ceremony involved sprinkling holy water on the returning person to symbolize the removal of misfortune and blessings.

Dong Du followed Novisane, pinching his shoulder strap, curiously observing the ceremony performed by the followers.

As soon as Novisane stepped off the patrol ship, he seemed like a different person. There was no smile on his face. Although he was the Prime Minister of a theocracy, he seemed not to believe in the religion. The followers deliberately avoided sprinkling holy water on him.

He walked expressionlessly to the small bishop, standing tall like a utility pole. The small bishop pursed his lips, standing on tiptoe and earnestly patting Novisane’s forehead, sternly saying, “May the Lord bless you!”

From his tone, Dong Du thought he was going to say something like, “I’ll beat you to death, you b*stard.”

Novisane continued walking, and when it was Dong Du’s turn to approach the small bishop, he sighed. Sympathizing with the small bishop’s plight, he said, “Blessing him every time, you must feel like hitting someone, right?”

The small bishop, who was originally depressed, raised his head as if he wanted to scold Novisane together, but controlled himself due to the occasion. He dipped his finger in holy water and touched Dong Du’s forehead, saying sincerely, “May the Lord bless you.”

Seeing Dong Du chatting with the small bishop, Novisane bit his lollipop and turned back, grabbing Dong Du’s neck and pulling him along. “Why talk so much?”

Dong Du once again confirmed that he and the small bishop had a lot to talk about.

Novisane brought him straight to the Prime Minister’s residence. The busy servants stopped and greeted them when they saw them. It was one thing for them to greet Novisane, but the crucial thing was that all these people recognized him. Could it be that the little prince’s malicious acts had become widely known, even reaching foreign countries?

He followed Novisane leisurely to the inner courtyard. The butler had already led servants and was waiting by the door. The butler slightly bowed, “Your Excellency Prime Minister, Little Highness.”

Dong Du was no longer surprised that these servants recognized him. He greeted the butler and, with the butler’s help, hung up his coat in the hallway. After the butler finished hanging the coat, he came over to inquire, “Your Highness, would you like to bathe first or have a meal?”

Could he decide on this matter himself? Dong Du glanced at Novisane. A beta maid was helping Novisane with his cufflinks, and noticing Dong Du’s gaze, he turned to look, “Haven’t decided yet?”

Dong Du: “…”

In theory, shouldn’t the butler be responsible for taking care of Novisane?

Although he was puzzled, he didn’t say anything. Following Novisane’s words, he responded, “I’ve decided. Let’s eat first.”

With the decision made, the butler led him inside.

Beyond the entrance hall was the main hall, with two spiraling staircases on either side. Right in the middle, facing the entrance, there was a large portrait of Dong Du hanging on the wall.

No wonder all the servants recognized him.

Dong Du turned around, jumped, and pounced on Novisane, biting his face fiercely!

What a strange portrait to hang!
