Ye Mu tightly pursed his lips, his clear and dark eyes showing forbearance, “I’ll call Gu Huai, or you can leave on your own. Pick either one.”
Yan Chen’s face gradually turned cold. He raised Ye Mu’s chin, dangerously narrowing his eyes, “You dare to threaten me.”
Ye Mu’s expression didn’t show the slightest signs of retreating, “Yes, I’m threatening you. From the day you married Gu Huai, you should have had this realization.”
Yan Chen narrowed his eyes even more tightly, “You think I would be afraid of him?”
Ye Mu laughed, extremely indifferently, “You’re not afraid? The person you’ve been longing for eight years, if he gets angered and leaves just like that, I’m afraid you’ll regret it for life!”
As he spoke, he took his phone out of his pants, but as soon as the call connected, Yan Chen snatched it and smashed it on the ground with a slap.
Due to the excessive force, the screen shattered into pieces and immediately went dark.
The atmosphere suddenly became heavy.
Yan Chen took a deep breath and closed his eyes, suppressing the surging anger in his heart, “Ye Mu, I didn’t come to argue with you today. If you’re willing, you can still maintain a relationship with me like before once you dump that little b*stard.”
Ye Mu had a cold smile on his lips, “No need. You have no shame, but I still do. It’s been eight years, I’m long sick of you. In the future, I don’t want to have any more entanglements with you.”
Yan Chen’s entire being exuded a heavy, gloomy aura, his thin lips pressed into a hard line, “You’re lying.”
Ye Mu’s tone gradually lowered, “What good would lying do me? Don’t always think so highly of yourself, Yan Chen. To me now, you’re just a disgusting part of my past.”
Yan Chen’s voice carried a hint of grimness, “Disgusting? You really dare to say that. You’ve been pestering me for so many years, if anyone should be disgusted, it should be me.”
Ye Mu was indifferent, “Then you should be even less inclined to meddle in who I’m with now. You’re like a cat trying to catch a mouse. Take this chance to get lost as far as you can, so you don’t make yourself disgusted again in the future.”
“I have a quirk,” Yan Chen narrowed his eyes at him, sharpness showing in his chiseled features, “Things I don’t want for myself, even if I throw them away, I don’t want others to use them. If you insist on being so stubborn, don’t blame me for not being polite to you.”
Ye Mu had an expressionless face, “In all these years, when have you ever been polite to me?”
Yan Chen’s eyes were deep and full of coldness, “Stop wasting words. Tell me directly what it will take for you to be like before.”
The corners of Ye Mu’s lips curled up in an extremely deep sneer, “Alright, I won’t ask for much. As long as you divorce Gu Huai, and then kneel in front of my door for three days and three nights. If you can do all that, I can reluctantly consider it a little.”
Yan Chen glared at him fiercely, “Stop spouting your f*cking nonsense!”
Ye Mu sneered coldly, “Then get lost, don’t waste any more of my time.”
In an instant, Yan Chen’s anger surged. He grabbed Ye Mu’s collar, his thin lips trembling slightly due to rage, “Don’t be shameless when I’m giving you face!”
Ye Mu looked him in the eye, calm and dispassionate, “I’ve never liked fighting since I was a child, but if you’re willing today, I can make an exception to accompany you for a fight.”
“Exception?” Yan Chen snorted with a laugh, “Are you sure you’re not looking for death?”
“Will you let me go if I beat you?” Ye Mu said with an icy expression.
Yan Chen showed a contemptuous look, “I advise you not to overestimate yourself.”
Ye Mu bit his lip, “Being beaten to death by you is better than being disgusted to death by you. You just married, and you’re still coming over to ask if you can maintain a relationship with me; what do you take me for, a mistress or a whore?”
Yan Chen sneered, “Ye Mu, someone like you, you don’t even qualify to be a mistress in my eyes. To me, you’re just a whore, a whore I’ve f*cked for eight years without paying!”
“Don’t go too far.” Ye Mu gritted his teeth and growled, seeming to want to chew these words to pieces. His teeth creaked from the force.
Yan Chen raised his chin, his side profile exuding bone-chilling coldness. “I don’t care what you’re being so melodramatic about, and I’m not interested in it. At most, you’re just a piece of trash whose ass I’ve grown tired of playing with. In my eyes, you’re nothing. Now I just hope you can be sensible and not be with that b*stard.”
Ye Mu closed his eyes, trying hard to suppress the surging indignation in his body, and said in a deep voice, “Since you look down on me so much, what does it have to do with you who I’m with now?”
Yan Chen’s tone was nasty, “No matter what, you’re someone I need to f*ck from time to time. Who knows if you’ll go out and catch some dirty disease and bring it back? Can’t I be considerate of myself?”
A burst of anger suddenly welled up in Ye Mu’s chest. Afterward, as if he could no longer restrain himself, he punched Yan Chen’s abdomen with all his strength.
Yan Chen grunted from the blow and immediately bent over in pain.
Ye Mu grabbed his collar and forced him to stand up straight again. He pushed him out of the apartment door, his eyes ferocious and fierce, “Have you f*cking said enough!”
“Drip, drip”
The sky suddenly started pouring with torrential rain. The abundant rainwater poured down without warning, soaking his hairline. His handsome cheeks were now twisted with anger, looking even more gloomy and frightening under the overcast sky.
Yan Chen sneered and curled the corner of his mouth. Without a word, he directly swung his fist and smashed it towards Ye Mu’s cheek, retorting, “What, am I wrong in what I said? Isn’t this the fact? Aren’t you just a cheap slut anyone can f*ck!”
Ye Mu was punched and fell to the ground. He immediately took the opportunity while Yan Chen was talking to kick him down. He pressed on top of him like a madman, raised his fists, and started punching him left and right. He growled in a deep voice, “Yan Chen, you’re a f*cking scumbag!”
Yan Chen exerted all his strength to raise his knee and bend it forward, heavily slamming into Ye Mu’s back. He flipped over and pressed Ye Mu under himself, spitting a mouthful of blood on his face.
“Yeah, I’m scum, but no one forced you to debase yourself back then. You’ve always been the one throwing yourself at me. Now what, seeing that young and handsome b*stard, you only care about being horny!”
Ye Mu had completely lost his usual calmness. He didn’t know what was wrong with him.
In the past, for this man, he could be subservient, without dignity. Sometimes just for a chance to see each other, just hoping he would look at him more, he could allow himself to be abused. But now he only felt disgusted, full of disgust and nausea.
He couldn’t even figure out what madness he had to fall in love with such a shameless and brazen man.
He unleashed his fists and feet, striking the person on top of him again and again, putting all the hatred he had accumulated during this time into his punches.
Yan Chen was originally someone who would get more aggressive the more aggressive you were. After being hit all over by Ye Mu’s fierce offensive, he also started to ruthlessly fight back, swinging his fists and punching with all his might.
The two crazily grappled together in the rain, their minds burning with heat. Even when the muscles in their arms were already sore and numb, neither of them stopped first until an umbrella covered them from above.
“Yan Chen, stop, don’t hit him anymore.”
A familiar voice suddenly rang out, making the two people in the rain stop their actions.
Yan Chen’s eyes were half narrowed. After clearly seeing who came, his brows furrowed tightly. After throwing one last punch, he pushed the person on top of him away.
Ye Mu was hit on the head and felt a bit dazed. For a while, he laid on the ground and didn’t get up.
Yan Chen spat and tried to stand up, but found that his right foot hurt so much that he couldn’t stand at all.
Gu Huai supported him on the side and opened the car door to let him sit inside.
In the quiet and damp air, no one said anything extra. Only the sound of the car starting and leaving remained.
The rain was still falling. The sky gradually darkened. A few lightning bolts flashed across the sky. With a rumbling thunder, countless rain arrows shot through the layer of water on the ground in unison. Raindrops pattered loudly on the car window.
Yan Chen sat in the back of the car, silently watching the rain outside. His whole being exuded a gloomy aura.
Gu Huai was driving, looking ahead, and spoke, “Don’t you have anything to say to me?”
Yan Chen turned his head to look at him, his face expressionless, his voice low, “What do you want to hear?”
Gu Huai glanced at him, “Today is our first day of marriage, yet you abandoned me to look for your old flame.”
Yan Chen had a straight face and didn’t speak.
Gu Huai’s hand turned the steering wheel and continued, “So, are you admitting now that you still have lingering feelings for him?”
Yan Chen’s lips were tightly pursed, and his narrow and silent phoenix eyes were indifferent, “My business with him, don’t interfere too much.”
Hearing this, Gu Huai’s face didn’t look very good, but he didn’t ask further, only speeding up the car.
When they got home, he started a cold war with Yan Chen. He slammed the door shut with a bang and didn’t come out again.
Yan Chen ignored it and sat alone on the sofa smoking, one cigarette after another.
The floor was full of ashes and cigarette butts. In no time, the spacious living room was filled with smoke.
The night passed just like that…
The next day, when Gu Huai came out of the room, Yan Chen was still sitting on the sofa.
Gu Huai glanced at him, not giving him any extra attention. He didn’t even prepare breakfast and walked straight to the door.
Yan Chen smoked expressionlessly, the curling smoke blurring his chiseled features.
Hearing the sound at the door, he turned his head and glanced at the person at the door. His voice was a bit hoarse, “Is there anywhere you want to go?”
Gu Huai’s action of bending down to change his shoes paused. He turned to look at him, his adam’s apple sliding slightly, “What did you say?”
Yan Chen lowered his brows and eyes. His slender, fair fingertips flicked the cigarette ash. His narrow phoenix eyes were cold and deep. He said heavily, “Let’s go on a honeymoon together.”
Gu Huai fell silent, lowering his eyelids. His elegant black lashes trembled, an indescribable emotion flashed in his eyes.
Yan Chen took a puff of his cigarette and said lightly, “I was too impulsive yesterday. Perhaps it’s just because that person has been with me for too long, so I’m not used to it. Perhaps going out with you will make it much better.”
Gu Huai quietly dropped his long lashes. After a while, his thin lips parted slightly, “Yan Chen, I know you’re wavering, but I still hope you can figure it out for yourself. You can only choose one person between him and me.”
The man’s indifferent and calm gaze slowly fell on his cheek. He sat up from the sofa and walked to him. “I thought about it all night yesterday and finally came to a conclusion.”
Gu Huai stood there, moving his lips for a long time without saying anything.
Yan Chen looked at him and suddenly hugged him warmly with his arms. His lips approached his ear and gently said, “No matter how many times, I will still choose you.”
Gu Huai paused and raised his eyes. The first thing he saw was the man’s extremely handsome smile.
Yan Chen buried his face on his shoulder, “Sorry.”
Gu Huai glanced at him lightly and couldn’t help but knock heavily on his forehead with his hand, “I accept the apology.”
Yan Chen raised his eyebrows slightly, “Have you decided where to go?”
Gu Huai didn’t answer, but asked instead, “How many days?”
Yan Chen pursed his lips, “About half a month. There’s a lot going on in the company recently, so I can’t be away for too long.”
A hint of displeasure flashed across Gu Huai’s jade-like face, “Then let’s talk about it later.”
Yan Chen said, “Angry?”
Gu Huai turned his head, his expression indifferent, and spoke, “No.”
Yan Chen patted his back and laughed, “Let’s extend it to a month then.”
Gu Huai nodded, “Okay.”
Yan Chen’s thin lips parted slightly, “Is there breakfast to eat now?”
Gu Huai’s eyes finally revealed a bit of a smile, and he said as he went to the kitchen, “I’ll go prepare it.”
Yan Chen leaned against the door, gazing at his busy figure with narrowed eyes. His usually cold eyes were tinged with a hint of faint, weary tenderness.
In the morning, the warm sun penetrated through the window in a golden beam, making everything look beautiful, but no one noticed the bitterness in his smile.
After thinking all night, he found that his mind was still filled with thoughts of Ye Mu.
It was simply absurd.
