My Corpse is Bohemian Chapter 138

Chapter 138: A Large Dose of Jealousy

An Bu walked over, took Jian Ningxuan’s arm, and smiled, “Mr. Jian, do you have an appointment with someone today?”

“Yeah, Mouse just returned to the country, I’m meeting him for dinner and discussing some matters,” Jian Ningxuan stared at her, waiting for her to confess voluntarily.

“I see. I’ve also made plans with a friend. Would you like to meet them?” An Bu was straightforward, since she had already been exposed, she didn’t mind being completely exposed.

“Is it convenient?” Jian Ningxuan said so, but his face showed no sign of rejection.

“Why wouldn’t it be?” An Bu added, “But, I’m now called ‘Gu An’, so please cooperate with me later.”

“Gu An?” Jian Ningxuan calmly asked, “How should I cooperate?”

“Just don’t call me by the wrong name,” An Bu explained simply, “The person I’m dining with is the child of a friend of mine from before. Their parents only know me as ‘Gu An’ and have entrusted me to take good care of them.”

Jian Ningxuan subconsciously thought of “them” as eleven or twelve-year-old children. But only after they met did he realize he was wrong. They were not children at all, but a handsome young man and beautiful young woman.

“Aunt Gu An?” Fu Junyao stood up, vigilantly assessing the remarkable Jian Ningxuan.

“Aunt Gu An?” Jian Ningxuan looked at An Bu beside him, puzzled.

“Junyao, Shuangshuang, this is my friend, Jian Ningxuan. We happened to meet in the corridor, so I brought him over for you to meet,” An Bu pointed at the Fu siblings and introduced, “Mr. Jian, this is Fu Junyao, and his sister, Fu Hanshuang.”

“Nice to meet you,” Jian Ningxuan very naturally placed his hand on An Bu’s waist, informing others of their “nature” as friends. Although he didn’t feel threatened by a young man, he still needed to assert his dominance.

Fu Junyao squinted, “Nice to meet you.”

The man in front of him was tall and handsome, standing next to Aunt Gu An, they really looked like a perfect couple, but it was… annoying.

Fu Hanshuang didn’t notice her brother’s slight mood, sincerely praising, “Aunt Gu An, is this Mr. Jian your boyfriend? He’s handsome.”

Jian Ningxuan’s favorability towards Fu Hanshuang: 10.

An Bu smiled, “Yes, we’re dating.”

Fu Junyao’s eyes darkened as he assessed the man’s age, at most thirty years old, about ten years younger than Aunt Gu. If she could accept a man ten years younger, then another ten years younger should be fine, right?

“Mr. Jian, you’re wearing a wedding ring…” Fu Junyao said unpleasantly, “You must be married, right?”

“So what?” Jian Ningxuan responded calmly, without changing his expression.

He shamelessly admitted it!

Fu Junyao’s eyes flashed with anger as he turned to look at An Bu. Seeing she remained unfazed, he couldn’t help but ask, “Aunt Gu An, do you know he’s already married?” Although he understood he had no right to interfere in others’ private affairs, he couldn’t believe Aunt Gu An would be involved with a married man.

An Bu didn’t expect Fu Junyao to ask such a blunt question. If she answered “yes,” she would be an open third party, with a bad reputation; if she answered “no,” she would be a stupid woman who didn’t know her place.

Both were holes she dug herself, she had to jump in with her eyes closed.

An Bu replied, “He’s currently negotiating a divorce with his wife.”

Jian Ningxuan: “…!”

Fu Junyao: So, does that mean you’re planning to get married once he divorces?

Fu Hanshuang: Oh, is something incredible happening?

“Aunt Gu An, are you sure he’ll really get divorced? Nowadays, many men like to use this excuse to mess around outside,” Fu Junyao confronted Jian Ningxuan in public.

Jian Ningxuan’s gaze sharpened, “You’re meddling too much.”

“Aunt Gu An is my friend, I can’t just stand by and watch her being deceived,” Fu Junyao stood his ground, unyielding.

Jian Ningxuan’s face remained calm, “Where do you see me deceiving her?”

“You’re already married, yet still looking for a lover outside, isn’t that deceit?”

“I have never hidden the fact that I’m married,” Jian Ningxuan responded calmly.

So, it’s Aunt Gu An who insists on being with you despite knowing you’re married?!

Fu Junyao looked at An Bu with a complicated expression, filled with disappointment, anger, and disbelief: I never expected you to be such a person, Auntie!

An Bu: “…” feeling her own image crumbling.

Clearly, she was Jian Ningxuan’s legitimate wife, yet she had to pretend to be his mistress, having an affair with a married man who was ten years younger than herself. It was simply a moral decline, and her worldview was shattered.

Didn’t we agree to cooperate with her? Isn’t this a bit too much for the play now?

“Mr. Jian, weren’t you meeting a friend? It’s not good to keep him waiting too long,” An Bu gave him a look that urged him to leave quickly.

“Indeed, it’s time to go.” Jian Ningxuan glanced coldly at Fu Junyao, then leaned down and planted a kiss on An Bu’s face before bidding farewell and leaving.

Fu Junyao unconsciously clenched his fists, staring coldly at their intimate display. A flame seemed to ignite in his heart, and he didn’t even realize he was sweating profusely.

“Have you finished your meal?” After seeing off Jian Ningxuan, An Bu turned to the Fu siblings.

“Aunt Gu An…” Fu Junyao was about to say something, but An Bu interrupted, “Your behavior just now was very rude. My relationship with Mr. Jian is none of your concern.”

Fu Junyao’s gaze darkened slightly. “Sorry, I was rash.”

“I hope there won’t be a next time.”

“I understand.” Fu Junyao complied obediently, but his thoughts were inscrutable.

After lunch, An Bu left with the Fu siblings back to the hospital and left after checking on Qu Xiu.

Exiting the hospital, Jian Ningxuan spotted a familiar car parked by the roadside. He rolled down the window and waved to her.

An Bu walked over and got into the passenger seat, fastening her seatbelt.

“Mr. Jian, are you satisfied with your underground lover?” she asked with mock seriousness.

“Satisfied,” Jian Ningxuan replied without looking at her.

“Then when do you plan to divorce your wife?”

“Divorce is out of the question.”

“Do you want to enjoy the best of both worlds?”

“Do you allow it?”

“Of course.” An Bu smiled seductively. “In fact, I think two is too few. Mr. Jian, would you like to have a harem?”

Jian Ningxuan: “…”

“Tender nurses, handsome policewomen, elegant dancers, noble ladies, girl-next-door types, sickly beauties, delicate babies, sexy milfs, career women… various types, take your pick.”

Jian Ningxuan: Mrs. Jian, this is very dangerous, you know?

After a moment of contemplation, he ultimately resisted the temptation of beauty. “Let’s discuss the harem later. First, let’s talk about my underground lover, ‘Aunt Gu An.”

“What do you want to know?”

“Why did you disguise yourself as Gu An?”

This question was difficult to answer. Jian Ningxuan knew she was a living corpse, but he didn’t know how long she had been “alive,” or how many identities she had assumed, or how many fake documents she had obtained.

“That’s all in the past,” An Bu said earnestly. “In half a year, Gu An will disappear, never to appear again. I just want to be your wife, Mrs. Jian.”

Just want to be his wife?

Jian Ningxuan’s heart stirred, waves rippling in his eyes, shimmering with emotion.

“In that case, I won’t ask anymore. But,” he said with a stern expression, “you should stay away from that Fu Junyao. He has improper thoughts about you.”

“Improper thoughts?” An Bu chuckled. “In his eyes, I’m twenty years older than him.”

Jian Ningxuan glanced at her helplessly: Do you look twenty years older than him?

An Bu died at the age of twenty, and her age was frozen at twenty. Her body would decay, but she wouldn’t age. In a sense, she was immortal.

“Some people don’t care about age differences.”

An Bu: Are you talking about yourself?

Jian Ningxuan’s heart stirred, suddenly realizing that he had never asked An Bu how old she was, or when… she became a corpse.

After much thought, he ultimately chose not to ask.

The next day, An Bu went to the laboratory and handed Qu Xiu’s medical report to Fang Cun, asking if they could continue with the medication.

“It’s possible,” Fang Cun confirmed. “Given the patient’s current condition, she will need at least three more injections. This is the safest approach. As long as there are no side effects, we can ensure the effectiveness of the treatment.”

With Fang Cun’s diagnosis, three days later, An Bu, disguised as Gu An, went to the hospital to administer the second injection to Qu Xiu.

After her condition stabilized, at Qu Xiu’s request, Fu Junyao took her home to recuperate.

For convenience, An Bu resigned from her job as a nurse and only interacted with Fu Junyao as Gu An. During this time, she gained quite a bit of vitality from Qu Xiu, but it wasn’t obtained all at once. It increased gradually in increments of 2, 5, and 7.

This situation should be related to her fluctuating health. If one day the vitality stops increasing, it means her life may be coming to an end.

An Bu realized the tremendous potential of this special medicine. If it could be mass-produced, gaining 100 vitality points per day wouldn’t be a dream. Unfortunately, Mr. Mo Dongxiao and his wife were already killed, and Molly was too young. She didn’t want to take credit for someone else’s research, so for now, she had to give up this shortcut.

“Aunt Gu An.” A steady voice came from her phone.

“Junyao? What’s up?” Just as An Bu uttered this name, she immediately caught Jian Ningxuan’s attention.

“Do you have time tomorrow afternoon? Mom wants to invite you over for a meal.”

“Well…” An Bu was about to agree when suddenly her waist was encircled by a pair of arms from behind, and a warm breath seeped through her clothes into her skin. She immediately changed her mind, “Madam Qu needs rest, I won’t disturb her.”

“Her condition has improved a lot recently. She has been cooking for herself quite often in the past few days, practicing many times, feeling confident in her skills, so she wants to invite you to taste her cooking.” Fu Junyao’s words were earnest, making it difficult to refuse.

As she hesitated, her ears were suddenly bitten by the man behind her. An Bu soothingly patted his hand on her back and said, “Alright, I’ll come over tomorrow.”

“Then it’s settled.” At the moment the call ended, Fu Junyao vaguely heard faint breaths coming from the other end, followed by a playful reprimand from Aunt Gu An, “Stop it.”

Fu Junyao: “…” His good mood vanished into thin air.

“Didn’t I tell you to stay away from him?” Jian Ningxuan looked at the person in his arms with a serious expression.

“His mother sincerely invited me, I can’t just refuse.” An Bu hooked her arms around his neck. “I promise you, after this meal, I won’t meet him again.”

Jian Ningxuan was still unhappy. An Bu didn’t know that the guy was investigating information about him and “Gu An” in secret. If he hadn’t concealed his marital status in time, he might have discovered that An Bu and Gu An were the same person.

Even at forty, “Gu An” could attract that little wolf dog, let alone An Bu at twenty.

Jian Ningxuan had finally found such a beautiful litter scooper, and he couldn’t let her be taken away by stray cats outside.

The next day, Jian Ningxuan personally drove An Bu to the Fu family’s house, saying he would pick her up at 2 o’clock, then left. With nothing else to do, he unconsciously drove to Fang Cun’s laboratory.

He thought for a moment and decided to go inside for a look around.

“Mr. Jian?” Fang Cun peeked out and looked behind him. “Are you alone?”

“Yeah.” Jian Ningxuan’s gaze casually swept over the experiments.

Fang Cun tentatively asked, “Do you need something from me?”

Jian Ningxuan paused and asked, “You also know An Bu’s identity, right?”

“Yeah.” Fang Cun looked at him in surprise. “You know?”

“Yeah.” Jian Ningxuan gave him a look of exaggerated surprise.

“Do you… have any thoughts?” Fang Cun’s eyes sparked with gossip.

“What do you think I could possibly think?” Jian Ningxuan’s voice was cold, but the heat emanating from him was particularly intense.

Fang Cun couldn’t help but take a few steps back, creating some distance between them. “She’s a thousand-year-old corpse! Aren’t you afraid at all?”

A thousand-year-old corpse?

Jian Ningxuan asked calmly, “Did she tell you that too?”

“Yeah.” Fang Cun said unsuspectingly, “She told me that she was poisoned seven hundred years ago and buried underground until she was awakened by a few tomb raiders a little over a hundred years ago.”

Jian Ningxuan: “…” So that’s how it is? A seven-hundred-year-old corpse… He hadn’t expected to casually ask a couple of questions and unexpectedly learn a shocking secret. (An Bu: Major mistake!)

When An Old Corpse made up that lie on the spot, she never expected Fang Cun to believe it and then relay it to Jian Ningxuan as if it were true.

Jian Ningxuan didn’t ask because he didn’t think it was important. Now that he knew the “truth,” he wasn’t particularly surprised. Meeting after seven hundred years was their fate and his luck.

It seemed that after “coming back to life,” An Bu had spent over a hundred years alone, probably assuming many identities, and “Gu An” was probably one of them.

Although what Jian Ningxuan knew as the “truth” differed from reality, his subsequent speculations surprisingly aligned with the truth.

“Mr. Jian, if I may be so bold to ask,” Fang Cun looked humble, “what does it feel like to make love with Sister An?”

Jian Ningxuan turned and walked away.

“Hey, wait, Mr. Jian, I didn’t mean anything else, I was just curious…”

Jian Ningxuan ignored him, started the car, and drove off.

At the dining table, An Bu sat with Qu Xiu and the Fu siblings, enjoying a harmonious meal together.

“Aunt Gu An, I’ll be an adult in two months.” Fu Hanshuang said cheerfully, “Will you come to celebrate my birthday?”

“Of course.” An Bu smiled. When Fu Hanshuang became an adult, she could retire gracefully, and the identity of Gu An should come to an end. For the next few decades, she would only have one identity: Jian Ningxuan’s wife.

“Great!” Fu Hanshuang cheered.

Qu Xiu looked at her affectionately, then glanced at An Bu gratefully.

An Bu smiled and nodded at her, indicating that she shouldn’t worry.

Fu Junyao’s gaze was reserved, not daring to reveal too much emotion, but his eyes kept wandering back to her.

After lunch, Qu Xiu was escorted back to her room by the nanny to rest. An Bu took the initiative to clean up the dishes. Fu Hanshuang was about to help, but Fu Junyao beat her to it.

Fu Junyao carried the dishes into the kitchen and quietly approached An Bu from behind, standing just a few centimeters away from her, their figures overlapping.

An Bu was half a head shorter than him, slender and delicate. Her long and fair neck looked like that of a young girl from behind.

“Aunt Gu An.” Fu Junyao placed the dishes in the sink, his arm extending from her waist as if to embrace her.

An Bu turned her head, almost brushing her nose against his jaw.

She only realized how close they were standing when she took half a step back and found herself almost touching his chest.

“Why are you standing so close? Be careful not to splash water.” An Bu nudged him with her elbow, signaling him to step back.

Fu Junyao held her elbow, not retreating but advancing, leaning close to her ear and whispering, “Aunt Gu An, I have a gift for you.”

A wave of hot breath brushed against An Bu’s earlobe. If she were an ordinary person, she would have been stirred up long ago. However, An Bu remained cold and indifferent, except for Jian Ningxuan, no one else could evoke any sensory response from her. Fu Junyao’s young body and vigorous hormones held no attraction for the old corpse An Bu.

Originally, she didn’t believe that Fu Junyao had any thoughts about her, an old auntie. But now, seeing his intimate actions, Jian Ningxuan’s speculation was actually correct? This was too extreme!

Truth be told, Jian Ningxuan was also quite extreme, but An Bu refused to admit that she was a cougar.

“What gift?” An Bu pushed the young man, who was almost leaning on her, away, picked up a towel, and casually asked.

“If you stay for dinner, I’ll tell you.” Fu Junyao leaned against the marble counter, his two long legs stretched lazily, his eyes shining brightly.

“That’s alright, I have something else to do.” It had to be said that Fu Junyao was very good-looking, but unfortunately, she wasn’t interested in the black and gray wolf dog; she only liked the cat at home that would glow.

“Aunt Gu An.” Fu Junyao grabbed An Bu. “Please, stay, my gift can only be given in the evening.”

“Sorry, there’s something you probably don’t know.” An Bu looked at him with regret.

“What?”

“I have night blindness.” An Bu said without changing her expression. “I can’t see things clearly at night. Your gift, I’m afraid I won’t be able to accept it.”

Fu Junyao: “…” Really? Wouldn’t it be a waste of the light show he had prepared for so long?

An Bu glanced at the time. “It’s almost 2 o’clock, I should go.”

She had promised the cat master to return by 2 o’clock and couldn’t break her promise.

An Bu went to the living room to pick up her bag and waved goodbye to the Fu siblings and Czech-ski.

“I’ll walk you out.” Fu Junyao saw that she couldn’t be persuaded to stay and could only accompany her downstairs.

As they reached the ground floor, Fu Junyao caught sight of Jian Ningxuan’s car. He squinted his eyes and suddenly called out, “Aunt Gu An.”

“Hmm?” An Bu turned back.

Seizing the opportunity, Fu Junyao stepped forward, put his hand on her waist, and leaned down to kiss her on the cheek.

Bang! There was a loud slamming sound from behind.

Jian Ningxuan strode over and pulled An Bu into his arms, his gaze coldly fixed on Fu Junyao.

Fu Junyao met his gaze fearlessly.

An Bu: “…” Although it was somewhat inappropriate, the current scene felt like a cat and dog fight.

“Mr. Jian, let’s go.” An Bu pulled Jian Ningxuan’s arm.

The poop scooper had been taken advantage of by another man, and the cat master couldn’t be pacified now.

Despite Jian Ningxuan usually appearing indifferent to jealousy, he had a strong possessive streak. Once he got jealous, not even cat food could calm him down.

An Bu dragged Jian Ningxuan into the car with some effort, as he was about to go berserk.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Jian Ningxuan remained silent with a stiff expression.

An Bu glanced at him when she had the chance. “That was just a farewell kiss.”

Jian Ningxuan knew very well that the guy had done it on purpose. What farewell kiss? It was clearly a declaration of war kiss!

“Here’s my phone.” An Bu suddenly handed him her phone.

Jian Ningxuan: ?

“Help me add his number to the blacklist.” An Bu stated clearly.

Jian Ningxuan promptly opened the contacts list, searched for Fu Junyao’s number, found his own name at the top, slightly relaxed his expression, and continued scrolling down, but didn’t find Fu Junyao’s name.

Seeing him scrolling up and down rapidly, An Bu reminded him, “His name is: Passerby F.”

Passerby F? Hearing this cannon fodder name, and then looking at his own nickname: Domestic Cat Master, he suddenly felt a lot better.

He was just a passerby, not worth getting angry over.

Jian Ningxuan elegantly and efficiently dragged him into the blacklist, deleted all the messages he had sent, made sure there were no omissions, and then satisfactorily returned the phone to An Bu.

“Not angry anymore?” In fact, the name “Passerby F” was something An Bu had improvised while waiting at a traffic light. Originally, she had stored Fu Junyao’s real name.

“I won’t lower myself to the level of a younger generation.” Jian Ningxuan was quite aloof at the moment.

An Bu: If she hadn’t seen someone’s expression of wanting to slaughter chickens and dogs just now, she might have believed him.
