My Corpse is Bohemian Chapter 69

Chapter 69: Faking Death Incident (Part One)

Two days before the cat master returned home, An Bu had already researched and developed three types of delicacies. They were different from the original versions, as there were no detailed recipes, and the ingredients were quite different. An Bu incorporated her own ideas, although she couldn’t taste the flavors herself. Based on her many years of cooking experience and mastery of seasoning proportions, she was confident in producing food above the ordinary level. Of course, the possibility of accidentally creating dark cuisine couldn’t be ruled out.

After preparing each delicacy, An Bu took several photos with her phone and sent them to Jian Ningxuan, who was overseas, asking for comments on the appearance. However, was it really just for comments? It was pure food temptation, making the cat master salivate and eager to return home to enjoy the feeding from the litter scooper.

Every day, An Bu video chatted with Jian Ningxuan. Unfortunately, through the screen, it was challenging to illuminate the cat master. Only when he was kissed, hugged, and lifted high, would he reluctantly shine for a moment, satisfying the old corpse’s “color” desires.

Although they were thousands of miles apart, the longing in their hearts was mutual. However, their lives were far from dull. One was busy sniping the M country’s stock market, and the other was busy wandering around. They spent an hour teasing each other every day, enjoying themselves immensely.

One day, An Bu suddenly received a call from Ge Tingting.

Ge Tingting was Jian Ningxuan’s cousin, and An Bu had previously participated in a supernatural program invited by her. An Bu gained a considerable amount of vitality from that experience, and she wondered what Ge Tingting wanted this time.

“Sister-in-law, help, please!” Ge Tingting cried out in distress.

An Bu: “… What happened?”

“We encountered a supernatural event!” Ge Tingting spoke rapidly, “Not long ago, we heard rumors of a haunted hot spring resort, and many guests claimed to have seen terrifying things in the resort. So, our production team decided to shoot the next episode there, only to find out that the haunting rumors were true!”

Hot spring resort? An Bu immediately thought of the one she had visited with Jian Ningxuan.

Ge Tingting continued, “While filming the supernatural program, we’re not afraid of encountering supernatural events. However, this time is different. A guest inexplicably drowned in the hot spring. The police said it was an accidental fall, but we all feel that it’s not that simple. Sister-in-law, can you come over and take a look at the situation and maybe lend a hand?”

“I’m not an actual ghost hunter. What do you mean by ‘help’?” An Bu asked, “Are you still in that resort?”

“Yes, the program hasn’t finished recording yet,” Ge Tingting answered matter-of-factly.

An Bu was speechless, “Someone died, and you still want to record the show? Do you really need to be that dedicated to your job?”

“Can’t help it. The industry is competitive, and it’s not easy for everyone to make a living,” Ge Tingting said.

Coming from a wealthy young lady like her, this statement had some credibility, right?

“Your cousin will kill you.” An Bu reminded her.

“Hehe, as long as my sister-in-law takes action, my cousin will definitely be lenient.” Ge Tingting flattered with a smile.

“Is the haunted hot spring resort you’re talking about ‘Mingyang’?” An Bu asked.

“Wow? Sister-in-law, you know?”

Indeed… An Bu felt a bit of a headache. That resort was built in the middle of an ancient tomb group. Normally, it posed no threat, but if someone were to dig it up, the death energy would overflow, affecting the mental state of the living.

An Bu didn’t even want to step into a modern cemetery, let alone approach an ancient tomb that had been there for hundreds of years.

“This matter is beyond my control. You and your crew should leave quickly. Let the resort owner find a Feng Shui Master to check it out. The layout of that resort is quite special. The reason for the trouble is probably due to someone disturbing the earth.” An Bu advised.

“Oh my God, sister-in-law, you’re amazing.” Ge Tingting was amazed, “The resort was haunted after its reconstruction…”

Pausing for a moment, it seemed that someone was talking to her on the other end of the line. After a while, she continued, “Sister-in-law, the resort owner is right next to me. He just heard your words and wants to ask for your help. The price is negotiable.”

“Tell him to restore the resort to its original state, just as it was before the reconstruction.” An Bu instructed.

Ge Tingting relayed An Bu’s words, and the resort owner seemed almost in tears, “We leveled half of the mountain, how can we restore it?”

Not only did they level the mountain, but they also dug dozens of tunnels between several small hills, creating a unique project.

This was essentially providing a smooth and unobstructed pathway for death energy to flow. Even the gods couldn’t save them now. They had to rely on their own good fortune.

An Bu declined, “Sorry, I can’t help with that.”

If it were any other normal situation, no matter how dangerous it was, she would be willing to take action. However, facing an ancient tomb, going there would only intensify the death energy. She might even accidentally activate a bunch of well-preserved ancient corpses.

“Sister-in-law, can you really not help?” Ge Tingting, apparently softened by the resort owner’s pleading, asked An Bu again.

“I can’t help. Tell him to find a Feng Shui Master.” An Bu had also studied feng shui, but unfortunately, she couldn’t do it remotely.

“Alright.” Ge Tingting did not insist further. She was about to hang up, and An Bu reminded her again, “Don’t stay there; leave quickly!”

“Okay, got it.”

Ge Tingting agreed quite readily, but she was naturally not one to stay put. Unaware of the seriousness of the situation, she quickly dismissed An Bu’s warning and decided to stay with the crew at the villa to continue recording the program.

That night, An Bu received another call from Ge Tingting, but it was not her on the line. Instead, it was the director of the crew. Anxiously, he said, “Miss An, Tingting is in trouble!”

An hour later, An Bu drove to Mingyang Hot Spring Resort.

Standing outside the gate, looking at this yin energy and death-infused resort, An Bu’s expression became serious, and the death energy within her also surged continuously.

At this moment, in the resort’s lobby, there were about twenty or thirty people gathered. Besides the resort owner, staff, and crew members, there were also three well-dressed Feng Shui masters.

An Bu walked in, and the death energy around her suddenly stagnated. Then, as if welcoming a leader, it boiled and surged, swirling around her, gradually transforming from chaos to order.

For the people in the hall, they were unaware of this subtle change and hadn’t noticed An Bu’s arrival. However, their expressions suddenly became strangely eerie. It was as if their muscles twitched unnaturally for a few moments.

An Bu first looked at Ge Tingting, who was sitting leisurely in a chair not far away, sipping tea.

Didn’t the director say she was in trouble? How come she looks so calm and unaffected?

While contemplating this, the resort owner suddenly knelt down, trembling, and begged the director, “Master, spare my life…”

An Bu: ???

The director stiffly stepped on his shoulder; An Bu guessed he intended to kick him, but the execution seemed to deviate a bit.

“You dog slave! This master is sparing you by allowing you to accompany the burial, yet you dare to resist? Truly ungrateful!” The director frowned and spoke with a voice as sharp as a eunuch’s.

An Bu: Is this… a recording for a show?

Behind the director, there were three or four people sitting together, sobbing and looking miserable.

On the other side, two security guards stood with mops in hand, their posture rigid, coldly staring at the people in the lobby, resembling two door gods.

Three Feng Shui masters, one squatting in a corner, muttering scriptures, one staring blankly at the ceiling, and the last one lying on the ground, seemingly in despair.

“Let me out! Let me out!” A crew member pounded the wall, crying out loudly.

The main entrance was less than three meters away from him…

“Mom, Mom…” One crew member hugged the thigh of another crew member, calling out desperately.

“Let go of me! Let go of me! Why are you holding onto me!” The crew member whose thigh was grabbed retreated in terror, letting out a horrified scream as if defiled.

As for Ge Tingting, ignoring her cold and noble expression and her imperial sitting posture, everything else seemed relatively normal.

An Bu wondered if she had accidentally entered a mental hospital.

However, she soon realized that the people were obviously affected by the death energy, influenced by the residual memories within it. Normally, the impact of death energy wouldn’t be so apparent, at most causing some hallucinations and nightmares. An Bu speculated that her appearance caused a qualitative change in the death energy…

Black mist swirled in An Bu’s eyes as she stepped forward, walking through the crowd. As she moved, the death energy slowly gathered into a river behind her, flowing into the resort.

Two minutes later, the people in the lobby regained their senses and stared at each other in confusion.

“What the h*ll, Second Fool, why are you grabbing my thigh?”

“What the hell, Brother Chun, why is your thigh in my hands?”

“Boss, why are you kneeling on the ground?”

“Pervert! Are you snuggling in my arms to drink milk?!”

“Huh? Who am I? Where am I? What did I do?”

After being bewildered for a while, the oldest of the three Feng Shui masters walked over, calmly saying, “Everyone, don’t panic. It was just an illusion; there’s nothing to fear. Come over here, take a talisman from me, wear it on your person, and the ghosts won’t harm you.”

Someone whispered, “Now he’s become a master again. Earlier, I didn’t know who was lying on the ground pretending to be dead…”

Ignoring the comment, the old Feng Shui master distributed paper talismans to everyone.

The other two Feng Shui masters, not wanting to be outdone, each expressed their own opinions with great authority, frightening everyone.

“Now, according to the insights of these masters, what should we do?” The owner humbly asked for advice.

The old Feng Shui master said, “Take me to see the surroundings of the resort, and I’ll adjust the Feng Shui for you.”

“Hold on.” The director interrupted, “I’ve invited another expert. Shouldn’t we wait for her to arrive before taking action?”

“Yeah.” Ge Tingting agreed, “With her presence, our safety will be more guaranteed.”

The owner was somewhat tempted but heard the disdainful comment from the old Feng Shui master, “The so-called expert in your mouth is just a twenty-something girl with no experience. What can she do? She’ll probably be scared at that time.”

“What kind of language is this?” Ge Tingting glared at him, “Can you diss my sister-in-law?”

“Oh, it turns out she’s your sister-in-law.” The old Feng Shui master suddenly realized.

Ge Tingting was furious, clenching her teeth. Just as she was about to retort, the director stopped her, “Alright, since the masters have confidence in this, let them handle it.”

The old Feng Shui master smoothed his beard, smiling like an enlightened master.

Ge Tingting leaned in and whispered to the director, “Let the cameraman follow and capture everything. Let’s see how he embarrasses himself!”

The director smirked, “Absolutely!”

If An Bu were here, she would definitely go berserk.

They were told to leave, but they just wouldn’t leave. Truly, they don’t know how to write the word “death”!
