Overturning the Male God Daily Chapter 110

Chapter 110 – Extra 8

<Previous Chapter<Table of Contents>

As the righteous sect members were about to approach Gu Yang, the protectors who had been standing behind him moved swiftly into action. They kicked away several of the righteous sect members who were attempting to get closer.

Gu Yang flipped his palm and caught the falling key once again.

Seeing the key being caught, the restless righteous sect members quieted down once more.

Gu Yang watched them with a playful glint in his eyes, continuing to speak.

“In the surroundings, we’ve already prepared a poisonous mist. With a wave of my hand, none of you will escape. I won’t make it difficult for you; I’ll give you a choice.”

Gu Yang kept tossing and catching the key, as if he were tossing the hearts of the righteous sect members in his palm.

Compared to the righteous sect members’ concern for the key, the people within the cult seemed largely disinterested in it.

Gu Yang walked behind Fan Yuan, reached out to lift Fan Yuan’s chin, revealing his calm and unruffled face.

“Two choices: do you want the key… or do you want the lives of this young one?”

As he spoke, Gu Yang’s five fingers curled, gripping Fan Yuan’s throat.

There was a moment of silence among the righteous sect members, followed by some persuading the goatee leader:

“If… for the sake of righteousness, even Fan Yuan’s death is justified!”

“Yes, we righteous sect members must be prepared to sacrifice for the cause at any time!”

With each sentence they uttered, the mockery on the faces of the cult members became more pronounced.

Eventually, the goatee leader ceased stroking his goatee. He swept his long sleeves and clasped his hands behind his back, his gaze on Fan Yuan carrying a weight of gravity.

“Fan Yuan… if you were to die for the righteous path, it wouldn’t be in vain!”

Then, he turned his gaze to Gu Yang.

“Hand over the key!”

Gu Yang seemed to have anticipated this moment. He stood upright, raising his right hand and flinging the key far away from his palm.

“The entrance is beneath the artificial mountain in the southern garden. If you can’t even get into the underground palace, there’s no need for this key.”

The goatee leader immediately lunged forward, firmly catching the key Gu Yang had thrown. As he landed, he swung his sleeves back, glaring fiercely at the few who had also attempted to pounce on it.

Subsequently, the righteous sect members began to retreat and move towards the southern side.

The goatee leader walked forward, and before leaving, he couldn’t resist offering a hypocritical piece of advice:

“Fan Yuan! Find… your peace.”

The righteous sect members hurriedly moved forward, completely unaware that behind them, Fan Yuan, who had been bound by ropes, had managed to stand up on his own, the ropes falling away from his body.

It turned out that all this time, he had been holding onto the rope behind his back himself.

Pei Ming snorted coldly.

“All those consumed by greed, once they step inside… won’t leave alive.”

At that moment, a figure clad in black suddenly rushed out from among the cult members. In their hand, a dagger gleamed with a chilling light as it was thrust straight towards Fan Yuan.

With the corner of his eye, Gu Yang caught sight of the glint on the dagger. His heart tightened, and he swiftly lunged forward.

Fan Yuan, however, was not one to be taken down easily. He leaned to the side, pinching the dagger’s blade with his fingertips. With what appeared to be a gentle exertion, he snapped the sharp edge of the blade.

Gu Yang had already reached them. Lifting his leg, he sent the black-clad figure flying.

“What are you doing? Who allowed you to touch him!”

The black-clad figure was none other than the one who had initially been unwilling for Gu Yang to bring Fan Yuan out of the underground palace. Now, after being kicked away by Gu Yang, they were also halted by Pei Ming.

The black-clad figure seemed to want to say something, but a gesture from Pei Ming silenced them.

“Leader, this is the person I brought out. Let me handle it.”

Gu Yang stood protectively in front of Fan Yuan, glaring fiercely at the black-clad figure. He didn’t oppose Pei Ming’s decision. After all, they were leaving soon, but he was still angered by the situation.

Suddenly, Fan Yuan raised his hand, encircling Gu Yang’s waist.

This was the first time Fan Yuan had hugged him since the start of their game of “who can resist first.”

Gu Yang immediately grew quiet. He lightly rested his hands on Fan Yuan’s arms, as though cherishing this long-lost intimacy.

Fan Yuan embraced Gu Yang and then released his arms, but Gu Yang turned slightly, almost throwing himself into the embrace.

He looked into Fan Yuan’s dark eyes, lips pressed together tightly, then turned and walked briskly towards the sleeping quarters.

As Gu Yang left, Fan Yuan followed closely behind.

With the departure of the cult leader, the remaining cult members who had gathered together began to stretch and yawn, dispersing.

It seemed they had forgotten that a group of righteous sect members had invaded, taken their key, and entered the underground palace containing countless treasures.

Gu Yang walked back to the sleeping quarters, forcefully pushing open the door and leaving it ajar. He strolled inside nonchalantly.

As he walked, he discarded his robe, casually tossing his deep red outer robe onto the gem-studded mirror by the door.

Fan Yuan entered the room following Gu Yang and, by chance, the inner robe that Gu Yang had thrown flew over his head.

Removing the robe from his head, Fan Yuan saw a swathe of fair skin nestled beneath the covers.

Gu Yang’s hair had also come loose, a cascade of black flowing over the bed behind him. The covers only reached his waist, revealing his pale back.

Fan Yuan neatly hung up the outer robe on the mirror and placed the inner robe he held in his hand on a chair. He then sat down on the edge of the bed, watching the side of Gu Yang’s face.

“It’s still early in the morning, and you want to sleep already?”

Gu Yang didn’t move, letting out a soft “hmph.”

Fan Yuan waved his hand, and the wide-open doors of the hall suddenly slammed shut, tightly closed.

Upon hearing the sound, Gu Yang’s long lashes trembled, but he didn’t move.

Fan Yuan’s slightly cool fingertip suddenly touched Gu Yang’s back, tracing lightly down the elegant curve of his spine.

“Gu Yang, do you want me?”

As Fan Yuan’s fingertip gradually descended, Gu Yang’s back straightened incrementally.

The covers were pulled down, revealing the cute little dimples on Gu Yang’s lower back.

Closing his eyes, Gu Yang subconsciously expected Fan Yuan to playfully poke those dimples as he used to do.

However, he waited for a long while, and all he felt was the cold air brushing against his back.

Finally unable to resist, Gu Yang opened his eyes, turning his head slightly, only to find Fan Yuan no longer by his side.

Gu Yang turned around fully, spotting Fan Yuan who had moved away from the bedside. He was now standing by the large mirror near the door, his body leaning slightly against the wall. His dark gaze was fixed on Gu Yang.

“Fan Yuan?”

Gu Yang propped himself up with the covers, unsure of Fan Yuan’s intentions.

Fan Yuan continued to watch Gu Yang, then after a while, he repeated his question:

“Gu Yang, do you want me?”

Gu Yang fell silent once again, turning back around to face Fan Yuan. His mind was in turmoil, and he thought about their childish game.

The game had started because he felt that Fan Yuan was demanding too much from him now, but upon deeper reflection, he realized that he hadn’t really been hurt by it.

Fan Yuan always stopped just when Gu Yang was about to lose control, perfectly timing his actions to stay within a critical boundary.

Afterward, Fan Yuan’s care for him was never careless.

Gu Yang suddenly felt a bit lost. How restrained had the former Fan Yuan been? No one knew better than himself.

He was the one who had torn away Fan Yuan’s restraint with his own hands, diving into his embrace.

Gu Yang shifted, suddenly tossing aside the covers and attempting to get out of bed. However, the corner of the covers got tangled around his foot, causing him to lurch forward and fall towards the floor.

He thought he was going to stumble for sure, but Fan Yuan caught him.

It seemed Fan Yuan had already approached the bed and was standing behind him, even closer to him than Gu Yang had realized.

As their bodies made contact, they clung tightly to each other, neither willing to let go.

Gu Yang’s hands bunched up Fan Yuan’s robe, and his legs wrapped around him.

The once lonely little sticky rice cake had finally found its harbor, and once stuck, it never wanted to leave.

“Fan Yuan…”

Gu Yang wanted to speak, but Fan Yuan shushed him.

With greater force, Fan Yuan held Gu Yang tight and stood up.

“Gu Yang, trust me.”

With Fan Yuan standing up, Gu Yang’s only point of support was Fan Yuan.

He hung onto Fan Yuan, sticking to him closely. The warm cheek on his face rubbed against Fan Yuan’s cheek.

Being hung onto, stuck to, and entangled with by Gu Yang, Fan Yuan was willing, embracing the sweet burden.

“Gu Yang, trust me, I won’t hurt you.”

Fan Yuan repeated, holding his precious little sticky rice cake tightly in his arms.

Gu Yang suddenly felt a bit dazed. A long time ago, he seemed to have said something similar to Fan Yuan, and now, Fan Yuan was saying it to him.

His trust in Fan Yuan had always been limitless.

Still holding onto Fan Yuan, Gu Yang buried his cheek in the crook of Fan Yuan’s neck and mumbled:

“Fan Yuan, I don’t want that childish game.”

“I want you.”

Fan Yuan carried Gu Yang to the mirror, where the reflection showed them entwined together.

“I want you even more.”

“Gu Yang…”

“My Gu Yang.”

Fan Yuan’s words were soft and unwavering, whispered into Gu Yang’s ear, over and over again.

The long-neglected gemstone mirror had finally found its true purpose. Its smooth surface recorded the unparalleled love and possession of the two individuals.

Gu Yang leaned against the cool, smooth surface of the gemstone mirror and gradually began to feel warm.

He reached up and gently tugged on Fan Yuan’s ear, quietly complaining:

“Fan Yuan, the mirror is quite hot.”

Fan Yuan lowered his head and bit Gu Yang’s lip, about to say something, but Gu Yang cut in:

“I know. It’s not the mirror that’s hot; it’s me.”

“Fan Yuan, you’ve made me feel so hot.”

Fan Yuan turned around and leaned against the mirror himself.

“It’ll get even hotter.”

Gu Yang looked at his reflection in the mirror, blushing, and looked away. After a while, he couldn’t resist glancing back.

So, this was what his expression looked like.

Fan Yuan ran his hand through Gu Yang’s hair at the back of his head and asked him:

“Do you like it?”

Gu Yang understood that Fan Yuan was asking about his own expression. He didn’t answer, just buried his head in the crook of Fan Yuan’s neck.

Fan Yuan didn’t really expect Gu Yang to answer. He continued speaking to himself:

“I really like it.”

In the sleeping chamber of the Demon Sect’s leader, love was in the air.

Meanwhile, beneath the Demon Sect, in the hidden palace, a different scene unfolded.

The righteous individuals hadn’t anticipated that sacrificing just one person, Fan Yuan, would grant them access to the key. Excitedly, they rushed toward the artificial mountain.

For them, opening a secret door like the one on the artificial mountain required only a bit of effort. Once inside the palace, finding the lock for the keyhole would be much easier.

As the entrance to the treasure trove opened, the hearts of all the righteous individuals pounded in excitement. They surged forward and, upon seeing the floor covered with treasures, some of them also noticed the enormous mirror nearby.

After all, the mirror was also made of precious gems. If they could take it out, it could be exchanged for immeasurable wealth.

The lead figure, the goat-bearded man, stood before the mirror, his gaze fixed on the myriad of treasures within.

Furrowing his brows, he reached out and touched the mirror’s surface.

“This doesn’t seem to be an ordinary mirror. It’s hiding treasures within!”

Several other righteous individuals gathered around the mirror, also seeing the countless exotic treasures inside. They nodded in agreement and pondered how to open the mirror’s surface.

However, some younger members among the righteous group found it strange. They saw different things within the mirror. Some even saw their beloved women inside. They huddled together, whispering in low voices, feeling that something was amiss. They decided to consult the goat-bearded man.

However, the goat-bearded man seemed to have fallen into a delusion. He just stared at the mirror and laughed heartily, his laughter accompanied by intermittent murmurs:

“All of it is mine, all of it is mine…”

Soon, more people began to experience the same situation as the goat-bearded man. They turned away from the mirror, running towards the countless treasures behind them.

Nightmare descended upon them. As individuals picked up treasures, their bodies instantly decayed and melted into a black liquid, seeping into the ground.

People vanished, and more rushed forward, unable to see anything else but the endless treasures before their eyes.

Several of the younger members who had managed to escape were horrified by the scene and hurriedly retraced their steps.

They thought escaping would be difficult, yet they found their way unimpeded.

Outside, no members of the Demon Sect attempted to stop them.

They fled the sect, escaping the nightmare beneath the hidden palace, attempting to share the news with the world. However, no one believed them, assuming they wanted to hoard the wealth. Those who hadn’t emerged from the palace were believed to have taken the treasure and fled on their own.

The bewildered escapees were at a loss, unable to prevent the group from organizing another expedition to the Demon Sect.

Beneath the palace, when all the greedy individuals who had entered turned into black liquid and disappeared, tranquility returned. Countless treasures still laid scattered on the ground, shimmering brightly. The Mirror of Desire stood silently.

After all the greedy individuals had either died or fled, the hidden palace’s secret door automatically closed. The key that had been set in the lock fell to the ground with a crisp sound, seemingly made of jade but remaining undamaged as it landed, pristine and clean, awaiting the next person to use it to unlock the countless treasures.

Meanwhile, in the Demon Sect leader’s sleeping chamber, calmness prevailed. Only discarded robes, a disheveled bed, and the gemstone mirror stood as witnesses.

In the morning light, Gu Yang opened his eyes, squinting at the poorly drawn curtains. He immediately buried his head back into Fan Yuan’s embrace and mumbled in a half-awake state:

“Can’t you close the curtains properly?”

As Gu Yang threw himself at him, Fan Yuan quickly raised his arm and held Gu Yang tightly.

“Did you sleep well?”

Gu Yang opened his mouth and bit Fan Yuan’s chest. As if unsatisfied, he pinched Fan Yuan’s waist.

Fan Yuan’s waist was toned and firm. Gu Yang’s pinches were gentle, like tickling.

Before Gu Yang could react, he was genuinely tickled by Fan Yuan.

With tears in his eyes from laughter, Gu Yang was led to the bathroom by Fan Yuan. He didn’t have to do anything, not even touch the floor with his feet. Fan Yuan tidied him up and led him back out.

Fan Yuan carried Gu Yang downstairs like holding a large doll, kissed his lips, and then went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

Gu Yang lazily slumped on the couch, gazing at the blue sky outside. His heart was unusually calm.

As long as he could spend his days with Fan Yuan, every day would be sweet and filled with happiness.

As one matchstick ended, Fan Yuan immediately began preparing the Golden Chrysanthemum ointment.

While it’s a creation of the virtual world, the medications used are real-world drugs that can be prepared in reality. It’s just uncertain how effective they are.

Gu Yang didn’t expect that he could actually see this Golden Chrysanthemum ointment again in the real world. It felt quite remarkable.

He took the small jar of ointment from Fan Yuan’s palm, twisted off the lid, and brought it close to his nose to take a light sniff. The fragrance seemed to be the same as the Golden Chrysanthemum ointment in the dream world.

Fan Yuan suddenly grasped Gu Yang’s arm, his palm hot:

“Wanna try it?”

Gu Yang’s arm was briefly scalded by Fan Yuan’s palm, causing him to immediately stand up and rush towards the bathroom:

“I can try it myself!”

Fan Yuan sat still for a few seconds before getting up and following.

In the end, Gu Yang didn’t try it on his own. Naturally, something like this required both of them to try together to see the effect.

The final conclusion was that the Golden Chrysanthemum ointment was indeed effective, just like in the dream world. However, there was a slight difference: it wasn’t as exaggeratedly effective as in the dream world, but it was still sufficient.

After returning from the dream world this time, Fan Yuan suddenly became busy.

Gu Yang thought he was busy with something important until he saw Fan Yuan’s notebook in the study.

Title: Diary of Tender Flower Care.

Gu Yang flipped through it with confusion. The more he read, the redder his face became. Finally, he couldn’t resist and closed the notebook, tossing it into a drawer.

However, even so, Fan Yuan’s “Diary of Tender Flower Care” continued.

Gu Yang tried to stop it, but Fan Yuan earnestly explained his reasons while pulling him aside.

The rationale was that it was beneficial for both of them, so why not do it?

In the end, Gu Yang could only compromise. Slowly, he even began to agree with it, because he was the true beneficiary of this diary.

During this holiday, Fan Yuan and Gu Yang played in various dream worlds using “The Little Match Girl”, until only one matchstick remained.

Gu Yang lit the matchstick, happily snuggling in bed with Fan Yuan, awaiting entry into the dream world.

When he opened his eyes again, Gu Yang saw himself.

This was an incredibly unimaginable occurrence: Gu Yang stood in the corner of the room, looking at another version of himself.

He walked over, approached the other version of himself, and waved his hand.

The other him couldn’t see him at all, completely unaware of his presence.

The other Gu Yang in front of him was looking at his left palm. Gu Yang also looked down and saw the poor 5 points on it, only then recalling that this was the backstage of Shang Shu High School’s anniversary performance.

The other Gu Yang with only 5 points was taking a spray bottle out of his pocket. He seemed disinterested in the spray, glanced at it, then put it back into his pocket, intending to turn around and leave.

Gu Yang was momentarily stunned. He remembered that spray bottle; it was a gift left-hand-palm’s Little Book had given him, like a newbie’s starter pack.

It was a spray that could command others within 5 minutes without leaving them with any memory of being commanded.

What did he do with the spray at that time?

Gu Yang carefully recollected, and he seemed to have commanded Fan Yuan to kiss him, but Fan Yuan didn’t seem affected.

But now, the former version of Gu Yang in front of him merely stuffed the spray into his pocket and didn’t seem intent on using it.

A feeling welled up inside Gu Yang. He took a sudden step forward and entered the body of his former self.

In the next moment, he found himself in control of that body.

He immediately took out the spray from his pocket, used it on Fan Yuan just like before, and commanded him:

“Fan Yuan, praise how handsome I am.”

“Say I’m the most good-looking fish you’ve ever seen.”

“Fan Yuan, I command you to kiss me.”

As soon as Gu Yang finished saying these words, he felt himself being pushed out.

He returned to a state where the other him couldn’t see him. He watched the other version of himself and Fan Yuan follow the same course as before, relieved.

Shortly after, Gu Yang opened his eyes again, realizing he had awakened from the dream world.

He propped himself up and looked at the sleeping Fan Yuan.

Fan Yuan was still asleep, likely still in the dream world.

Watching Fan Yuan’s sleeping face, Gu Yang became even more certain of one thing.

He and Fan Yuan were a perfect match.

Fan Yuan, Gu Yang.

Yuan Yang, the combination sounded pleasant.

After a while, Fan Yuan’s eyelashes trembled slightly, and he also opened his eyes.

Gu Yang immediately smiled at Fan Yuan, saying:

“I guess you dreamed about me.”

Fan Yuan sat up, leaning against the headboard, and reached out to hook his finger around the necklace on Gu Yang’s neck, pulling him down to rest on his chest.

“What else?”

Gu Yang pressed his ear against Fan Yuan’s chest, listening to his steady heartbeat:

“You also saw yourself.”

He opened his hand, which was resting on the edge of the bed, and Gu Yang placed his hand on top.

Their fingertips intertwined, slowly tightening.

Fan Yuan pulled Gu Yang upwards a bit, his voice gentle:

“Guess what I did?”

Gu Yang shook his head, planting several lingering kisses on Fan Yuan’s lips before answering:

“I can’t guess.”

Fan Yuan’s deep black eyes met Gu Yang’s slightly lighter ones. The misty fog in his eyes cleared, revealing only Gu Yang.

“I told the past Fan Yuan, don’t be too quick to discard a foolish fish; give it some time to…”

Fan Yuan stopped midway, leaving Gu Yang anxious. He opened his mouth and bit Fan Yuan’s jaw in anticipation:

“What can it do?”

Fan Yuan turned his head, looking at the faint light seeping through the gap in the curtains.

Dawn had arrived.

The former Fan Yuan liked to hide with Gu Yang in the darkness, hiding in a darkness that only belonged to each other.

The current Fan Yuan liked to leave a gap in the curtains, basking in the morning light with Gu Yang every day.

They could indulge in the darkness and also move towards the dawn.

As long as they embraced each other, they feared nothing.

Seeing Gu Yang becoming impatient, Fan Yuan didn’t tease him any longer.

He lowered his head and gently kissed Gu Yang’s ear, the tenderness in his voice like a sea of warmth.

“Give it some time to grow, then it’ll be delicious.”

Gu Yang thought Fan Yuan was about to say something profound and mysterious, but he didn’t expect to hear this kind of answer.

He became so infuriated that he sat up and straddled Fan Yuan, ready to hit him with a pillow. He held the pillow high, then gently let it drop.

Fan Yuan moved the pillow away from his face and flashed Gu Yang a smile—a very simple smile, a smile that was only because he was happy.

As Gu Yang watched, he couldn’t help but smile too.

“Fan Yuan.”

“Yeah?”

“I’m hungry.”

“What do you want to eat?”

Their journey through life still had a long, long way to go.

Although the pen falls here, Yuan Yang stretches far into the distance.

Author’s Note: The side story is also finished. Little Yuan Yang is saying goodbye to everyone!
