Author’s notes:
Recently, apart from Qi Yue, who has been living happily every day, his men have been having an utterly miserable time. In their own words, their lives are worse than pigs and dogs.

That heaven-defying space, for some unknown reason, has the plants inside growing faster and faster. Because of this, Han Fei has taken quite a bit of flak from others. Back then, if he had absorbed that crystal core himself, wouldn’t there be less problems now. The spirit spring being able to eliminate fatigue is great, but the problem is that they have basically become like robots. During the day they are busy with base affairs, at night they are busy with Qi Yue’s affairs, and there is simply no time to properly be intimate with Qi Yue.

As long as that little face shows even a trace of loneliness, they will unconsciously be willing to do anything that can make Qi Yue happy. The problem is, they are very willing to do things that make Qi Yue happy, but planting fields and harvesting fruit every single day is really unbearable. As soon as the vegetables here are just sown, over there the fruits are already ripe. Once all the fruit has been picked, the fields over there start producing again. Now every time they enter the space and see the vast expanse of ripe fruit and the lush green vegetable fields, it feels so tear-inducing. Especially recently, they discovered that the space seems to be gradually expanding. It’s too tragic. In their eyes, the space has completely lost any sense of beauty and has simply become like a malignant tumor. The most urgent problem now is to find a way to shift Qi Yue’s attention to something else. Each of them was racking their brains.

Seeing that there wasn’t much going on in the shop, Qi Yue told Su Yan and went home very early. Usually he basically went over in the morning, pondering new dishes while practicing his abilities.

When he pushed open the door, he was surprised to find that the others were all there. Normally they were all busy with their own affairs, and it was rare for them to be home together so early.

Before the door could even be closed, Han Fei pinned him against it and gave him a series of wet kisses. The two only separated after a long bout of tangled lips and tongues. Qi Yue looked at Han Fei, panting.

Seeing Qi Yue’s dazed eyes, Han Fei couldn’t help but nibble on him again, only letting go when both of them were almost unable to restrain themselves. Han Fei reached out to close the door, but Qi Yue’s legs were a little weak, and he hurriedly pressed down on Han Fei’s hand.

“Wait, there’s something outside I haven’t picked up yet.”

“You go in, I’ll get it.”

Han Fei kissed Qi Yue on the cheek and thoughtfully went out to retrieve what Qi Yue had left outside. Not long after, he came back with a sour face, carrying a cage. He actually wanted to throw this thing away. Han Fei had already guessed what Qi Yue was planning, and he firmly refused to agree.

The others were sitting on the sofa in the living room. Lin Yuze sat in a single chair reading a foreign language book, while Yan Bin and Tang Ke sat at the other end talking.

They had already heard Qi Yue’s voice. Tang Ke’s lips curved slightly, revealing his good mood. He waved to Qi Yue to come sit beside him. When he saw Han Fei following behind Qi Yue, the corner of his eye twitched violently.

Even Lin Yuze, sitting to the side, frowned, while Yan Bin rested his hand on the armrest of the sofa and unconsciously tapped it.

This couldn’t go on. Everyone was waiting for someone else to speak up, but those few were all slippery, afraid of making Qi Yue unhappy, so they all waited for others to say it.

“Yueyue, are we having roasted rabbit tonight?” Tang Ke had changed a lot, especially in the past few years, becoming much steadier and more restrained.

“How could that be? They’re a male and female pair. Those are really hard to come by.” Qi Yue felt cheerful, adjusted his sitting posture, and his loose T-shirt revealed beautifully shaped collarbones and neck. When he talked and laughed, he practically entered demon mode.

Whether those things were hard to get depended on who you were. The men exchanged glances. At least on this matter, they were quite tacitly aligned. Farming alone was already keeping them busy enough. If they were to start raising animals all over the space as well, one could imagine that in the future they wouldn’t even have time to touch Qi Yue.

“Then who helped you get these?”

Han Fei sat beside Qi Yue, reached out to wrap an arm around his shoulders, and spoke gently. Once he knew who it was, he would definitely teach them a good lesson. Hadn’t he already instructed them not to talk too much with Qi Yue, especially about vegetables, fruit, and animals.

“Su Yan. He gave them to me. When he heard I wanted to raise animals, he helped me trade for them. He’s really capable. He posted a task in the mission area, and someone actually took it.” Qi Yue spoke with relish, his words peppered with praise.

Good. That glasses-wearing man is asking for death. More than one or two people were already itching to deal with him.

“Since you’re all here, let’s go into the space now. The grapes are ripe.”

Qi Yue happily calculated that after harvesting the grapes, the potatoes he planted should also be ready, and they could dig them up together. Since everyone was here, work would go faster. And he had long wanted to raise poultry in the space, but living animals were very scarce in the base and extremely hard to get. Raising rabbits would be perfect. They reproduced quickly, litter after litter.

Han Fei was practically furious to the point of exploding and really wanted to give Qi Yue a thorough scolding. This heartless one treated his husbands like oxen. He was just too good at using them. Their daily schedules were packed full, each person having a timetable for what to do at each hour. Even labor usually came with rest time, but for them, the things growing in the fields just kept popping up endlessly. It was enough to drive anyone crazy.

“Yueyue, wait.” Seeing Qi Yue reach for the rabbits, Han Fei hurriedly stopped him. He absolutely could not let Qi Yue raise animals in the space.

“What is it?”

“These rabbits, um, have they had vaccinations?” Han Fei grabbed Qi Yue and started spouting nonsense.

“What vaccinations? Why would they need that?” Qi Yue was confused.

“They were caught outside, and besides, look at them, they’re all mutated. What if they carry some virus?” Han Fei pointed at the rabbits in the cage, finding fault with them in every possible way.

“Don’t just throw random things in and contaminate the space,” Yan Bin frowned and spoke.

Lin Yuze, unlike usual, didn’t side with Qi Yue either. “If the hot spring water gets contaminated, then we won’t be able to soak anymore.”

Qi Yue looked at them suspiciously. The few who usually bickered were suddenly speaking in unison. It felt indescribably strange. But what they said wasn’t without reason. Contaminating the entire space just to raise rabbits wouldn’t be worth it.

Seeing Qi Yue wavering, Yan Bin pondered for a moment and then said, “How about this. Let’s go traveling. First to the Haigar Plains, then to other places you want to go. Isn’t your ability about to level up? Once you level up, we’ll come back.”

As life gradually stabilized, Qi Yue had started to miss life on the plains. It was free and unrestrained, and he liked that life more. Hearing this, Qi Yue blinked and looked at Yan Bin in disbelief. “Really?”

Tang Ke frowned when he heard this, but only for a moment before relaxing again. “Yueyue, once I arrange things, we’ll go.” After saying that, he looked at Yan Bin in a provocative way.

No one objected, and the matter was settled just like that.

Qi Yue was very much looking forward to this trip. He hadn’t left the base in a long time, and moreover, it would be his first time going out together with them. Immersed in joy, he completely put the matter of raising animals aside, even forgetting about harvesting the grapes. He busied himself calculating how to arrange things at the shop.

In recent years, there were occasionally relatively higher-level zombies that would attack the base in groups, but as the number of high-level ability users in the base gradually increased, these situations were easily dealt with.

All the base’s systems were developing steadily, and people’s emotions were gradually recovering from fear due to the successful development of antiviral agents. Everything was moving in a good direction. The only regret was that the cities from before the apocalypse were still occupied by large numbers of zombies. Humanity was still the weaker side. People believed that time would change all of this. Sometimes, however, the development of events is always so unexpected, and danger always comes quietly.

He’s going to get back at the world! Come and see, all kinds of miraculous abilities are hidden in his dishes.
