Rebirth in the Apocalypse: The Peach Blossom Debt Chapter 94

That transparent crystal core didn’t upgrade Qi Yue’s ability; instead, it unexpectedly gave him teleportation and healing abilities. The spiritual power in his body slowly flowed into Tang Ke’s body, the wound on his chest gradually stopped bleeding, and the wound slowly began to heal. Throughout the entire process, Tang Ke kept his eyes on Qi Yue.

Qi Yue opened his eyes and carefully examined Tang Ke’s wound. The wound was healed, and he let out a long breath. Looking at Tang Ke’s face and seeing the other man staring at him without blinking, looking much better than before. Just earlier Qi Yue had been terrified. He reached out and held Tang Ke’s hand, lowered his head, and quickly kissed the corner of Tang Ke’s lips.

“I’m going to go treat the others. I’ll come back to accompany you in a bit.” Qi Yue widened his eyes at Tang Ke; his beautiful peach blossom eyes were still red and swollen.

Seeing Tang Ke nod, Qi Yue lowered his head again to carefully check his body, confirming there were no other wounds. Then Qi Yue turned and went to the others.

Looking at Lin Yuze and Yan Bin a few steps away, Lin Yuze didn’t seem to have external injuries, only wrapped earlier in spider silk. After thinking it over, Qi Yue still hurried toward Yan Bin, because he felt Yan Bin must be seriously injured. Someone usually so strong was now lying here motionless. Qi Yue felt that maybe he didn’t actually dislike him as much as he thought, and deep down he really didn’t want anything to happen to him.

Turning over to Yan Bin, when Qi Yue saw the wound on his chest, he realized Yan Bin was much more seriously injured than Tang Ke. Yan Bin’s wound was caused by the spider’s claws, a long gash across his chest, deep enough to see bone. The wound was even starting to turn black. Not daring to waste any more time, Qi Yue began healing Yan Bin’s external wounds.

After a long time, Qi Yue opened his eyes. He lowered his head to check Yan Bin’s wound. The injury had healed, but because it had been too severe, Yan Bin was still unconscious, and he had developed a high fever, his head burning hot.

Qi Yue grew anxious. What was he supposed to do? His ability could only heal external wounds. Yan Bin had lost too much blood and was physically weak. He couldn’t just let him keep burning with fever like this.

He had it, something flashed in his mind. The hot spring seemed to have good effects, felt full of spiritual energy, and could heal external injuries. He didn’t know if he could bring someone into the space with him. Holding Yan Bin’s hand, he activated his ability. The two of them appeared inside the space together. It worked. Qi Yue exerted himself to the extreme and hauled Yan Bin into the hot spring, half of his body in the water and half outside.

Letting out a breath, Qi Yue exited the space. His ability was overdrawn again; his head felt dizzy, his body swaying uncontrollably twice. He forced himself not to collapse, there were still others who needed treatment.

Lin Yuze’s injuries weren’t that severe. He had been wrapped too tightly in spider silk, and the silk had cut into his flesh. To treat him, the silk had to be pulled out of the flesh first. Qi Yue found himself unable to bring his hand down. Looking at that ghastly wound, his eyes reddened again.

Seeing the pale face before him, Lin Yuze reached out and rubbed Qi Yue’s short hair. “I’ll do it myself.” Gritting his teeth, he pulled the silk embedded in his flesh out on his own.

Watching the beads of sweat on Lin Yuze’s forehead, Qi Yue’s nose stung and tears nearly fell again. He kept scolding himself internally, why was he acting like a woman, crying all the time, but his heart just hurt. He rubbed his eyes hard, wiping away the wetness, then turned his head and began treating Lin Yuze’s wounds.

Last of all, when Qi Yue went to find Han Fei, Han Fei was sitting on the ground absorbing a crystal core. The clothes torn by spider silk had already been changed. His straight nose bridge, slightly upturned lips, and perfect jawline made him look flawless, just his temper was a little explosive. When they had first met, his temper wasn’t like this. Must be age, early menopause. Qi Yue watched from the side, a little entranced, secretly complaining in his heart, not realizing he was actually older than Han Fei.

Han Fei suddenly started coughing, spitting blood again. The newly changed clothes were soaked through with blood. Earlier, he had been absorbing the crystal core, and Qi Yue didn’t dare interrupt. Seeing Han Fei open his eyes, he directly grabbed his arm and brought him into his space.

Qi Yue supported Han Fei to the hot spring. Yan Bin was leaning against the edge of the spring. “Um, this spring water has healing effects. I don’t know if it’ll work or not. Try it, I’ll come check on you later.”

He was about to leave the space when Han Fei grabbed his hand. Qi Yue looked at him, confused. The next moment, Han Fei yanked him into his arms and kissed him.

There was no further action, just lips pressed together. Qi Yue looked at the face so close before him and closed his eyes, feeling the gentle touch.

After a long while, Han Fei pulled back, hugged Qi Yue tightly, and pressed his head against his chest. “You’re not allowed to do dangerous things like that again. You scared me.”

Hearing the strong, steady heartbeat by his ear, Qi Yue obediently answered, “Mm.”

“Go.” Han Fei released him and gestured for him to leave, then stepped into the hot spring himself.

After leaving, Qi Yue went back and forth again, bringing Tang Ke into the space’s hot spring as well. This earned him a glare from the previously affectionate Han Fei. Qi Yue helped Tang Ke into the spring and hurried out of the space.

Of the dozen or twenty ability users, only seven survived. The others had lost their breath because they had been wrapped in spider silk too long.

Although he ate food to replenish ability power during the healing process, and although he ignored Liao Feifan curled in a corner, after treating the last ability user, Qi Yue swayed and fainted. He had awakened his ability without time to rest, and the constant use completely exhausted him.

Qi Yue collapsing like that frightened everyone. When he woke up, it was already one week later.

The bed was soft, extremely comfortable to lie on. Qi Yue buried his face in the pillow, avoiding the blinding sunlight. A low laugh sounded beside him, very familiar. He yawned, unwillingly opened his eyes, and Lin Yuze’s handsome face appeared in front of him. Qi Yue blinked hard, not quite sure where he was.

“Sleep enough?”

Lin Yuze looked at Qi Yue’s confused expression, amused, and helplessly reached out to rub his head. That day Qi Yue fainted had frightened him badly. After rushing back to the base, he immediately looked for treatment, only to find that Qi Yue had overused his abilities and simply needed rest. But unexpectedly, this rest turned into a full week.

“I fell asleep?” Qi Yue asked in surprise.

Lin Yuze nodded. “Mm, you slept a week.”

“Ah? That long?” Qi Yue was shocked.

Lin Yuze couldn’t hold it in and laughed. “Mm. Little lazy pig, you scared me to death sleeping that long.”

Ah—those words were way too ambiguous!

“Where is this?” Qi Yue looked around blankly, then at the large double bed beneath him, this must be a bedroom.

“My place.” They answered back and forth.

“We came back to Base B?” Qi Yue asked in surprise. Seeing Lin Yuze nod, he asked again, “What about Territory Village?”

“Blown up.”

Qi Yue frowned. That was too short. He wanted details. Right—“What about Liao Feifan?”

“In the passageway.” Lin Yuze’s voice was calm as he sat beside Qi Yue, patiently answering him.

“Ah? You didn’t save him?”

“Not killing him is already good fortune for him. Why would we save him?”

Qi Yue nodded vigorously in approval. “Well done.” That selfish man had caused the deaths of so many people just to escape. Looking at the handsome face beside him, Qi Yue scratched his head hard, he seemed to have forgotten something.

“You’re hungry, right?”

As soon as Lin Yuze asked, Qi Yue’s stomach grumbled loudly. Qi Yue blushed in response. So embarrassing. He had never lost face like this.

Lin Yuze stood up and gestured outward. “Come eat something.”

This was a suite, fully furnished. Qi Yue let Lin Yuze pull him up and lead him to the dining table outside. On the table were a few light dishes still steaming, they must’ve just been made.

Qi Yue didn’t expect Lin Yuze to be so thoughtful. He stammered, “It looks delicious. Uh, how did you know I’d be hungry when I woke up?”

Lin Yuze raised his eyebrows at him. “You’ve slept a week without eating or drinking. Wouldn’t you be hungry?”

“Hehe.” Qi Yue plopped into the chair and picked up the bowl, shoveling food into his mouth.

“Let’s eat together.” It felt wrong for him to eat while the other just watched.

Shaking his head, Lin Yuze said indulgently, “I already ate. You eat, I’ll keep you company.” He sat beside Qi Yue, watching him.

“Mmm, who made this? It’s delicious.” Maybe he was too hungry or something, but everything tasted especially good.

“I did,” Lin Yuze replied.

“Ah, you can cook?” Qi Yue had never known that.

“Mm. No one cooked for me. Grandma was old, so I always cooked for her. Now she’s gone.”

Seeing the faint sadness in Lin Yuze’s expression, Qi Yue deeply regretted bringing up something painful. He grabbed Lin Yuze’s hand to comfort him. “From now on, I’ll cook for you.”

“Forever?”

Looking at Lin Yuze’s melancholic eyes, Qi Yue nodded hard. “Forever. For a lifetime. I’ll cook for you.”

Lin Yuze nodded with satisfaction. “You said it. Don’t forget.”

Qi Yue nodded even harder. “Mm, I won’t forget.”

“Eat, I’ll serve you more.” Lin Yuze took the empty bowl from Qi Yue, filled it again, and handed it back.

After three bowls, Qi Yue finally put down his chopsticks and leaned back against the chair, not wanting to move. He rubbed his round, full belly, completely stuffed.

A long while later—

“Ah!”

Qi Yue let out a shout, jumping up from the chair, staring at Lin Yuze with his mouth open in disbelief, looking for an answer.

Lin Yuze held back a laugh and, as if knowing what he was thinking, nodded.

It was over. Qi Yue’s face went pale, he had left Yan Bin, Han Fei, and Tang Ke in the space.

A whole week. They should… hopefully have gotten along? Qi Yue prayed silently.
