Qi Yue sat down on the sofa, lost in thought, his eyes darting back and forth as he muttered nonstop. The effect of the hot spring treatment should be even better than his abilities. Although they had all been seriously injured before, he had already healed them, so their bodies should not have any major problems now.
But no matter how much he thought about it, he still could not make up his mind to enter the space. He did not dare imagine what kind of scene would be waiting for him once he went in. Sigh, although they had not gotten along very harmoniously before, the three of them were not young anymore. All of them were people with status. There should not be any problems, right. He kept comforting himself.
Lin Yuze crossed his arms over his chest, leaning sideways against the wall, watching the restless person in front of him with some amusement. Qi Yue was like a headless fly, pacing back and forth around the room.
From time to time, Qi Yue glanced at the old grandfather clock in the room.
Ten minutes passed. He still had not decided whether to go in.
Half an hour passed. If he went in, how should he explain it.
An hour passed. He could say his abilities were overdrawn and that was why he only woke up now, that he did not intentionally forget them in the space.
Two hours passed. He had saved them, so they should not blame him.
Another hour went by, and Qi Yue still could not make up his mind. What if he went into the space and found them fighting? How should he handle it? He dropped back onto the sofa, casually picked up a book from the coffee table, and his eyes kept circling around Lin Yuze, who was sitting beside him with his head down reading.
“Uh.”
Lin Yuze finally raised his head after Qi Yue hesitated yet again, looking at him with slight confusion, silently asking what he wanted to say.
Qi Yue felt awkward. After coughing a few times, he laughed dryly. “Well, this book is pretty good, huh.” He was just making conversation for the sake of it.
Lin Yuze raised his eyebrows high and nodded toward the German original of The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich in Qi Yue’s hands.
“It is pretty good.”
Facing Lin Yuze’s gaze that seemed to see right through him, Qi Yue hurriedly lowered his head and pretended to read seriously.
“You know German?”
“Uh? Ah?” Qi Yue looked completely confused.
“Didn’t you say this book is good?” Lin Yuze asked with a normal expression, his eyebrows still raised in puzzlement.
Qi Yue lowered his head. D*mn it, why did he grab this book. Instantly annoyed with himself. There were so many books on the table. Why did he have to pick this one? He raised his head and gave Lin Yuze another silly smile, cursing himself nonstop in his heart. He was really stupid. If he suggested that the other party accompany him into the space, Lin Yuze probably would not mind, right? Sigh, so irritating.
Lin Yuze more or less understood what Qi Yue was thinking, but since Qi Yue did not say it outright, he did not expose it either. Only the slight upward curve of his lips revealed that he was in a pretty good mood.
Seeing Lin Yuze lower his head to read again, Qi Yue finally gathered his courage and spoke. “Well…”
Before he could finish, the old clock in the room began to chime.
“Dong, dong, dong.”
With every chime, Qi Yue’s body trembled once.
It’s over. This kid is going to get sick from worrying. Lin Yuze helplessly put down his book and spoke considerately. “Why don’t I go into the space with you to take a look at them?”
Qi Yue nodded excitedly. He had not spent all these years thinking about this kid for nothing. He really understood him too well. His words came out a bit jumbled. “Worthy of me treating you like a brother. You’re really solid.”
“Brother?” Lin Yuze repeated with a half-smile, as if savoring the words. “You treat me like a brother?”
Realizing he had said the wrong thing, Qi Yue’s expression stiffened. He stammered ingratiatingly. “You, you’re even better than a bro, brother.”
“Better how?” Lin Yuze rarely pressed the issue like this.
“Better in every way.” Qi Yue found it hard to continue. The other person’s gaze felt off.
Lin Yuze said, “For example?”
Qi Yue said, “For example, uh, well, your abilities are very strong.”
“Actually, I have another thing that’s very strong.” Lin Yuze slowly leaned closer.
Qi Yue’s mind went blank. Watching the person get closer and closer, he could not figure it out. Other than abilities, what else.
“Uh? Ah? What?”
When Qi Yue finally said the words Lin Yuze wanted to hear, Lin Yuze directly pressed him down.
“Big brother will tell you what my strong point is.”
“I was wrong, I was wrong, I get it now.” Qi Yue finally understood what the other party was referring to.
But it was too late. “You’ll only understand after you experience it.”
“Mm, b*stard.”
A long time later, after Qi Yue personally experienced Lin Yuze’s other strong point, the sky had already grown dark.
Qi Yue rubbed his waist and limped down, his hands trembling as he fastened his buttons, his legs weak.
On the other side of the bed, Lin Yuze, thoroughly satisfied, zipped up his pants, casually took a cigarette from the bedside table, put one in his mouth, and looked at Qi Yue with lazy satisfaction. Ever since Qi Yue fell unconscious, he had been constantly on edge and had not slept well for even one night. Next time, he would make Qi Yue properly compensate him.
Qi Yue’s breathing was still a bit rapid, his throat hoarse from shouting, and his skin flushed red from being worked too hard.
“You look pretty tired. Why don’t you rest first and get them out tomorrow?” Lin Yuze, always considerate, gently suggested.
“No no no, I’m not tired at all.” Qi Yue hurriedly refused. What a joke. It had already been a week. If he delayed any longer, who knew who would die.
“Not tired. Then everything you said earlier was a lie?” Lin Yuze narrowed his eyes. Qi Yue’s features scrunched together, his eyes carrying a post-comforted allure, looking rather aggrieved. It made Lin Yuze feel tight all over again.
“No, no. I am tired. Let’s, let’s get them out first, then, then rest.” Qi Yue was so flustered he could barely speak clearly.
As if he had not noticed Qi Yue’s little scheme at all, Lin Yuze looked somewhat regretful but still agreed. “Alright.”
Qi Yue secretly rejoiced. If those few big shots lost their temper once he went in, Lin Yuze helping him say a few good words should not be a big problem. After all, he had saved them.
After tidying up his clothes, Qi Yue regained his spirit. He wandered over to Lin Yuze’s side, lit a cigarette, held it in his mouth, and led the other into the new space that he had not yet had time to study.
Upon entering, the first thing they reached was Qi Yue’s kitchen. Opening the door revealed that super large and luxurious new space. This new space must have been carefully arranged by Liu Yue. A super luxurious waterbed sat beside the hot spring. There was no one in the hot spring.
No one. There was actually no one. This result stunned Qi Yue.
He immediately took off running to search everywhere. What should he do? Could the space not hold living beings? Had they evaporated. What should he do? He had meant well, but instead he had made several living people disappear.
Lin Yuze raised his eyebrows, also a bit surprised, and quietly observed the surroundings.
Once out of the kitchen, on one side was a small hot spring, delicate and elegant in appearance. Behind the hot spring was a small hill, with a path leading straight to the top. The hill was covered with fruit trees in all sorts of colors.
In front of the kitchen was an open area filled with all kinds of luxury vehicles. From helicopters, armored vehicles, fuel trucks, and even luxury oil tankers, down to motorcycles, bicycles, and children’s cars, everything was there.
On the other side were supplies stacked higher than the hill itself. Medicine, food, clothing, all kinds of things. Everything one could imagine, stretching beyond sight.
The space was magical, like another world. There was a sun, and staying inside made people feel exceptionally comfortable.
“Ah!”
Qi Yue’s voice came from behind the hill. Although it was a bit far away, it was unusually clear. Lin Yuze followed the sound.
Behind the hill, the grass was lush like a football field. At one corner at the foot of the hill stood several people. From afar, the one in the middle was Qi Yue, with those people beside him.
Qi Yue’s legs were already weak. When Tang Ke suddenly shoved him, he dropped straight onto the ground. A few tears immediately fell. That unspeakable place hurt badly.
Han Fei felt heartache and was about to help him up. Tang Ke kicked over, but Han Fei dodged it. D*mn it, what a fake good guy. If he had not dodged just now, would his precious Yue Yue have fallen.
Qi Yue sat miserably on the grass, watching the two people fighting each other, his eyes red. He was in pain.
A hand reached out. Qi Yue wiped his eyes and followed the hand upward, seeing Yan Bin looking down at him. Thinking there was no need to be so dramatic, Qi Yue grasped Yan Bin’s hand and stood up with his help. Skin touched skin. The other’s palm was very rough, full of calluses, and very warm. Qi Yue’s hand recoiled as if shocked. To appear more natural, he braced his hand on his waist, his posture somewhat awkward, and smiled at the other in embarrassment. How humiliating. He had even cried just now.
Qi Yue was only as tall as the other’s shoulder. He looked up and stole a glance at Yan Bin. Yan Bin was wearing light gray casual trousers and a brand new white shirt on top, with only the bottom two buttons fastened. Through the half-open shirt, the skin of his chest could be seen. It had to be admitted that his physique was astonishingly good. Bronze-colored skin, bulging muscles, and the wounds were no longer visible. Below that, his abdominal muscles were sharply defined, looking full of compact strength.
He suddenly felt very thirsty. His throat rolled as he swallowed. Qi Yue felt his face heat up and quickly shifted his gaze to the other two. It seemed they had recovered very well. Completely different from when they had first come in, weak and frail. Now they were full of vigor, not only using fists and feet but even abilities. More than half of the lawn was scorched, clearly not something formed in a short time.
Unexpectedly, Yan Bin reached out and gently stroked Qi Yue’s scalp, the touch very tender. Qi Yue froze slightly and looked up at him. His lips were moist, his gaze deep, and there was faint bruising on his face. Qi Yue frowned. Those marks, they did not seem to have been there before.
Noticing Qi Yue’s distraction, Yan Bin’s hand slid to his face, while the other arm wrapped around his waist. His body leaned in, the two of them pressed tightly together.
Watching that very masculine face draw closer and closer, Qi Yue’s heartbeat grew irregular, faster and faster. His face burned, and he could not say what he was anticipating.
Tang Ke was entangled with Han Fei. When he turned his head, he happened to see this scene. Well done. These shameless brothers. One was tying him up, and the other wanted to take advantage of Qi Yue. He raised his hand and sent a wooden spike straight at Yan Bin’s face.
As if he had anticipated it, Yan Bin tilted his head and easily dodged it.
Qi Yue looked over blankly, his already erratic heartbeat almost jumping out of his chest. Seeing Tang Ke’s furious face, he suddenly realized how dazed he must have looked earlier, like he was asking for a kiss. He saw Lin Yuze watching him, Han Fei walking over, and Yan Bin beside him.
Qi Yue’s mind snapped, and he directly exited the space.
Now what. He had originally asked Lin Yuze to accompany him to bolster his courage. Now it was great. He had even left Lin Yuze behind in the space. Oh god, what stupid thing had he done. Qi Yue was filled with regret, pacing back and forth in the room, his anxiety growing even heavier.
