Chapter 107 – Extra 2
<Previous Chapter<Table of Contents>Next Chapter>
The little dragon cub is close to fire, likes fire, and the entire dragon has a dazzling color like fire. Compared to the water, which the little dragon cub has touched only a few times since birth, it is a bit afraid of water.
Under the scorching sun, with cicadas chirping and birds singing, Zhuyou stood by the water with a solemn expression, coldly watching the little dragon cub crying while hugging Pei Yunshu’s legs.
As a dragon, the Grandmaster of the river who can manipulate clouds and rain, is actually afraid of water?
Truly a big joke!
Pei Yunshu didn’t know how to comfort the little dragon cub. His pants have been pulled away from his socks by the little dragon cub, revealing a small portion of fair and smooth skin.
The little dragon cub’s speech was not yet clear, his claws firmly grabbing Pei Yunshu. With big golden eyes filled with tears, he said, “Dad… dad…”
With a milky scent, it’s the milk from a fierce tiger specially captured by Bai Lige.
Pei Yunshu feels extremely distressed for this small and delicate creature, but a dragon can’t swim, which is really…
“Ah Zai,” Pei Yunshu helplessly squatted down, trying to reason with the tiny cub, “Dragons can all swim.”
No matter how hard he persuaded, the little dragon cub was unwilling to let go. Zhuyou’s face turned cold, and he suddenly grabbed the cub, looking deeply into his golden eyes. “Do you like your dad?”
Although the little dragon cub was afraid of Zhuyou, he nodded quickly when it came to his dad, “Like!”
“But besides you, many others like your dad,” Zhuyou’s expression becomes unusually stern, his eyes narrowed, the cruelty in his black eyes evident, “If you’re not strong, others will take your dad away.”
Frightened, the little dragon cub looks at his dragon father.
Zhuyou sees Pei Yunshu as a treasure that no one should touch, placed at the tip of his heart. Allowing the little dragon cub to be spoiled repeatedly was already a face-saving measure for the White Dragon and the surviving dragon clan.
Seeing the shocked and panicked expression on the little dragon cub’s face, Zhuyou grinned menacingly, “You are so weak, can you protect your dad?”
In the eyes of the little dragon cub, Zhuyou’s current appearance is like the wicked adult Bai Lige described, a big monster that would eat dragon cubs. His eyes are on the verge of tears, but he gritted his teeth and held back. He wanted to protect his dad and not let him be taken by anyone!
Sniffling, the little dragon cub slipped out of Zhuyou’s hands. Without Zhuyou saying anything, he bravely jumped into the stream.
“Be careful!” Pei Yunshu only managed to say these two words in shock, watching as the little dragon cub struggled in the rushing water. What did Zhuyou say to Ah Zai that made him jump into the water on his own?
The little dragon cub is small, and in the eyes of Pei Yunshu and Zhuyou, a small stream could easily sweep him away. However, with the determination to become stronger and protect his dad, the little dragon cub boldly swam into the deeper water.
After a whole hour, the water in the stream suddenly formed several pillars, lifting the little dragon cub “flying.”
Exhausted but with bright eyes, he manipulated the water to bring himself to his dad, proudly saying, “Dad!”
Pei Yunshu’s gaze softened in an instant. He hugged the little dragon cub. “Good cub.”
The little dragon cub, holding onto the dragon tail, took a bite and looked at Pei Yunshu happily, then fell asleep, exhausted.
Pei Yunshu looked up at Zhuyou, who was staring at the little dragon cub in his arms with a dark expression. Pei Yunshu chuckled, and Zhuyou, snapping out of his thoughts, looked at Pei Yunshu’s smiling face and smiled as well.
His eyes burned even brighter, fixated on Pei Yunshu and couldn’t move away. Fortunately, Pei Yunshu had long been accustomed to his gaze, and he could calmly ignore it. He gently released the tip of the tail that the little dragon had been nibbling on from his mouth. The dazzling tail tip, like a ruby, glistened with shiny saliva. Pei Yunshu wiped it away with a handkerchief, then loosened the curled claws of the little dragon, brushing away the sand hidden between the fingers.
“What did you say to him?” Having taken care of the little dragon, Pei Yunshu couldn’t help but ask curiously.
Zhuyou shook his head, changing the subject, “Will you send him to the Dragon God’s secret realm in a few days?”
“Even if you send him in, Ah Zai will make a fuss, and the White Dragon will end up sending him back again,” Pei Yunshu sighed, “Every day, you keep mentioning sending him away three or four times, but I haven’t seen how much you dislike Ah Zai.”
Zhuyou thought for a moment, then leaned down and whispered something in his ear. Pei Yunshu’s ears instantly turned red, and he cast him a shy and angry glance, “Every day… still not enough for you?”
Zhuyou furrowed his brows in distress, his deep black eyes carrying a straightforward meaning, making the person he was looking at blush deeply, “Wife, do you think I’m enough?”
The last time they indulged themselves lasted a full forty-two days. Pei Yunshu rested for three days and still had to take care of the shrunken Zhuyou. Those forty-five days were truly absurd, with no distinction between day and night. Now, with daily joy, Pei Yunshu felt that it was enough. Occasionally, the little dragon causing a ruckus also secretly pleased him, saving him from the tumultuous relationship with Zhuyou.
If one were to say he didn’t enjoy it, it wasn’t entirely true. On the contrary, it was just because it was too enjoyable. Pei Yunshu didn’t like his own desires too much, so he was even more conflicted. On one hand, he feared that if Zhuyou let go, he would become completely immersed in desire. On the other hand, he was genuinely exhausted, sweating profusely, and then he had to clean up afterward, which was quite troublesome.
Pei Yunshu still remembered the incident with the ambergris. He firmly believed what the incense shop owner had said. Often, just a kiss from Zhuyou made him feel feverish and secretly agitated. He attributed all these changes to Zhuyou.
It must be that the saliva of this colorful dragon had aphrodisiac properties, allowing Pei Yunshu to be easily aroused by him.
The more he thought about it, the more improper his thoughts became. Pei Yunshu quickly snapped out of it and coughed, “Yesterday, Baili asked me why I didn’t give Ah Zai a name.”
Zhuyou finally became serious. He frowned and looked at the sweetly sleeping little dragon, “Once you give him a name, you’ll be completely entangled with him.”
Pei Yunshu chuckled, “Don’t you want me to get more involved in entanglements?”
Zhuyou nodded seriously.
Cultivators are always unwilling to have too many entanglements. If they ascend, they must sever all worldly relationships and karma. Dragons can live for a very long time, and Zhuyou’s intention was simply to prevent the little dragon from dragging down Pei Yunshu.
Pei Yunshu chased after him, asking, “In the past thousand years, I have never heard of any cultivator successfully ascending. The closest to ascension was Venerable Wuwang. He had to sever emotions and love. If I were to ascend, Zhuyou, what if I had to forget about you?”
During the Heart Demon’s trial, there was a pure white world after ascension. For Pei Yunshu, he had long lost interest in reaching the pinnacle of cultivation.
Sufficient cultivation to protect oneself and loved ones was all he desired. Immortality was not his goal; having enough time to grow old with his loved ones in the mortal realm was sufficient. With so many beautiful sceneries and delicious food in the mortal realm, surrounded by good friends and loved ones, why pursue ascension?
Filling his heart with emotions, the spiritual energy around him suddenly stirred without any wind. Zhuyou frowned, swiftly took the little dragon from Pei Yunshu’s embrace, while Pei Yunshu entered a mysterious state.
After a short while, Bai Lige and others arrived. They watched as Pei Yunshu gained insights, standing guard around him.
Zhuyou, however, stared fixedly at Pei Yunshu, feeling uneasy.
He kept thinking about what Pei Yunshu had said earlier and suddenly found himself not wanting Pei Yunshu to ascend.
Even if it was just something casually mentioned by Pei Yunshu, Zhuyou didn’t dare to gamble on the possibility of Pei Yunshu abandoning him due to selfishness and greed.
As the wind circled around Pei Yunshu, when the golden light scattered across the ground and dusk approached, Pei Yunshu finally woke up.
Feeling an unprecedented sense of clarity, he seemed to have comprehended something. With a glance, Pei Yunshu realized that he had experienced enlightenment.
With this enlightenment, the suppressed cultivation poured out. In the blink of an eye, Pei Yunshu’s cultivation advanced to the middle stage of Nascent Divinity.
For the first time, an advancement felt so refreshing and comfortable. Pei Yunshu turned around with a smile, meeting Zhuyou’s anxious gaze.
Naturally understanding what was on Zhuyou’s mind, Pei Yunshu stepped forward, touching Zhuyou’s dragon head to comfort him, “If ascension truly requires cutting off emotions and love, and I can’t be with you, then I would rather not become an immortal.”
Zhuyou hugged him, silent.
Pei Yunshu signaled to the people around with a look. Friends who understood him smiled silently and left. When everyone was gone, Pei Yunshu pushed Zhuyou away, holding his face, “I was worried too. I felt the same as you do now. I was worried that after you became a dragon, you would break free from the world and fly to a place where I couldn’t catch up.”
“No, I won’t,” Zhuyou’s brows furrowed tightly, “I won’t do that.”
Pei Yunshu smiled, looking at him with clear eyes. He approached, kissing Zhuyou’s dragon head, nose, and faintly colored lips. “Believe in yourself that you won’t leave me, and also believe that I won’t leave you.”
These sincere words made Zhuyou’s breathing suddenly heavy.
Pei Yunshu, still smiling, deliberately kissed Zhuyou on the lips and even stuck out his tongue to quickly lick them.
The moist and warm kiss completely calmed Zhuyou down.
The two quietly embraced under the moonlight, until the beats of their hearts synchronized. Zhuyou then lifted his head, held Pei Yunshu’s chin, and hoarsely said, “Open your mouth.”
Pei Yunshu obediently parted his lips, allowing Zhuyou’s large tongue to explore.
Lips and teeth collided, breaths became hot.
Behind a giant tree not far away, Bai Lige held the little dragon, watching with relish. The little dragon’s mouth was covered by Bai Lige’s hand, and its small claws reached out towards its father’s direction, its golden vertical pupils gleaming with a layer of water.
“Shh,” Bai Lige put a finger to his lips and whispered, “You need to behave now. If you don’t, I’ll take you back, and you won’t even see your dad.”
The little dragon rubbed its eyes helplessly and yielded under Bai Lige’s tyranny.
Seeing him obedient, Bai Lige released his hold. The little dragon, now curious, lay in Bai Lige’s arms, imitating Bai Lige by lowering its voice and asking vaguely, “Uncle Bai Li, is Dad eating Dad’s mouth? Dad is in pain.”
Bai Lige cleared his throat, realizing that bringing a child to witness such a scene was not appropriate. He turned and left with the little dragon, casually saying, “That’s because your dad’s mouth hurts. Your dragon dad is healing him.”
The little dragon continued to ask, unclearly, “Why does Dad’s mouth hurt?”
It’s like breaking a pot to get to the bottom of it. Bai Lige felt a headache coming on. Since the little dragon’s words were unclear, Bai Lige pretended not to have heard clearly, “What? What did Ah Zai say?”
The little dragon insisted and asked again.
Bai Lige looked at him apologetically, “Ah Zai’s words are not very clear, I didn’t understand what you meant.”
The little dragon languidly lay on his shoulder, holding onto his clothes without speaking.
When they returned to the room, Bai Lige placed him on the ground, thinking it was over. However, unexpectedly, the little dragon trotted over to Young Master Qingfeng, grabbed his clothes, and laboriously said, “Why does Dad’s mouth hurt?”
Young Master Qingfeng put down his teacup, looked down at him, frowned and pondered for a while, then understood the meaning, “Your dad’s mouth hurts?”
The little dragon’s eyes suddenly lit up. He nodded heavily and pointed at Bai Lige, “Dragon Father is eating dad’s mouth.”
Young Master Qingfeng squinted his eyes, turned to look at Bai Lige, who responded with an innocent and refined appearance.
Qingfeng reached out to pick up the little dragon, surprisingly using a gentle tone, “Did you see your dragon dad eating your dad’s mouth?”
This sentence, when spoken, made Young Master Qingfeng blush uncontrollably.
The little dragon earnestly nodded, afraid that Young Master Qingfeng wouldn’t believe him. He even pointed at Bai Lige, saying, “Uncle also saw it!”
Young Master Qingfeng: “Heh.”
Bai Lige rubbed his nose, showing a wry smile, “I’ve really corrupted the child.”
He sat next to Qingfeng, looking around, “Oh, where’s Hua Yue?”
“He went to the brothel,” Young Master Qingfeng put the little dragon on his lap, unusually soft-spoken. “According to him, there’s a courtesan competition there, and all sorts of beauties are gathering in the city. He also disguised himself as a woman to join in the fun.”
“Beauty?” Bai Lige squinted his eyes, showing a hint of interest. “This fox, why didn’t they tell me about such a good thing?”
“Do you still want to see a beauty?” Young Grandmaster Qingfeng glanced at him disdainfully. “Now you are so weak that you can’t even beat me. Stay here with Yunshu.”
Bai Lige shook his head, smiling with deep meaning. “Conquering a beauty shouldn’t rely on force. It’s all about skills.” He patted his thigh, implying something. “It’s all about techniques.”
“What techniques?”
Someone pushed the door open, and Pei Yunshu happened to hear this. Curiously, he raised his voice. “Baili, have you learned some new tricks again?”
Bai Lige was choked by his saliva but ignored his coughing. He stood up instantly and welcomed Pei Yunshu in. “Yunshu, don’t think too much. I haven’t said anything.”
Pei Yunshu, suspicious, looked at him. “Did you do something wrong again?”
Bai Lige couldn’t hide his guilty conscience in front of dad and Dragon Father. He excused himself and went out, running away quickly.
Young Grandmaster Qingfeng sneered twice, released the little dragon cub from his arms, and said to Pei Yunshu, “I’ll go and bring him back. After catching him, you deal with him properly so that he won’t dare to act like this again in the future.”
Perplexed, Pei Yunshu looked at both of them leaving and then lowered his head to ask the little dragon cub, “Ah Zai, did something happen between Uncle Baili and Uncle Qingfeng?”
The little dragon cub, still dizzy from being transferred from one person’s arms to another, only remembered to ask, “Does Daddy’s mouth still hurt?”
Pei Yunshu blushed, and then his face turned pale.
His lips were swollen, displaying a beautiful lustrous red. Under the curious and concerned gaze of the little dragon, he froze in place.
At this moment, Zhuyou smirked, feeling extremely satisfied. “When your daddy’s mouth hurts, only Dragon Father can heal it.”
The little dragon cub resumed sucking on his tail, pondered for a moment, and asked, “Does it get better after eating?”
Zhuyou looked at the little dragon cub, “That’s right.”
“… Zhuyou,” Pei Yunshu felt like his head was about to explode. “Shut up.”
Zhuyou obediently closed his mouth, but from his expression, it was clear that he didn’t think there was anything wrong with it.
Whether it was Bai Li or Zhuyou, both had the nature of demons. In the end, it only gave Pei Yunshu and Young Master Qingfeng a headache. Could the child see this? Could the child know about it? What if the child learns from them?
Pei Yunshu didn’t want the little dragon to adopt his dragon father’s shameless demeanor so quickly.
After Young Master Qingfeng brought Bai Lige back, Pei Yunshu lectured Bai Lige properly. He also started considering whether to find a teacher for the little dragon cub. At this moment, Hua Yue, who had slipped out, invited them to watch the final day of the Flower Maiden Contest in the city. It happened to be an opportunity to find a tutor for the little dragon cub, so Pei Yunshu readily agreed.
***
In the city, everyone was dressed like delicate flowers. Pei Yunshu and his group walked among them, feeling as if they were in a city of flowers.
In his arms, Pei Yunshu held a child who was delicately carved like jade. The chubby child looked like a tender lotus root.
The little dragon cub, after transforming, was only around two or three years old. This was the cutest time for a child. His dragon horns and patterns hadn’t retracted yet, so Pei Yunshu had to use an illusion to cover up the appearance of these demon features before daring to bring him into the city.
On the side, Zhuyou said, “Shall I hold him?”
The little dragon cub understood and held onto Pei Yunshu’s clothes, burying his head in Pei Yunshu’s arms to avoid Zhuyou’s reaching hand.
“Let me do it,” Pei Yunshu said truthfully. “Ah Zai is lighter than a feather for me.”
As a late-stage nascent divinity cultivator, carrying a mountain was like carrying a feather. Not to mention this little child.
The little dragon cub, knowing he could be held by Daddy, felt relieved. He peeked out his head, and his curious eyes looked around. Suddenly, he saw another child about the same age. Excitedly, he grabbed Daddy’s hand and spoke with urgency, spraying out some saliva, “Ah Zai!”
There was another Ah Zai*!
*child
Pei Yunshu turned to look, seeing another child being led by his parents in the distance. He smiled and said, “Does Ah Zai want to make friends?”
The little dragon cub’s chubby legs kicked excitedly. He looked at the other child behind him, but just at that moment, the parents of the other child pinched him harshly.
The little dragon cub shivered, staring at them.
Pei Yunshu felt strange and asked softly, “What’s wrong?”
The little dragon cub pointed to the back, innocently saying, “They hit Ah Zai.”
Everyone in the group heard this, and they all looked back.
The four of them, along with the little dragon cub, had extraordinary appearances and wore luxurious clothes. The people who were stared at by them trembled and greeted them with flattering smiles. “What did these gentlemen want to say?”
The parents of the other child had ordinary faces, rough skin, and a thin and sturdy stature. They wore ordinary hemp clothes, and although the child they were holding wore ordinary clothes too, there were fine scars on his neck where the hemp clothes touched.
After just a few glances, Bai Lige whispered to Pei Yunshu, “These should be two kidnappers.”
Pei Yunshu’s eyes turned cold. He gestured for the child in their hands to come over with a soft voice. “Child, come here.”
The child’s hopeful black eyes flashed. He cautiously looked at the man and woman beside him. Seeing them inexplicably stiffen in place, he gathered the courage to break free from their hands and rushed straight into Pei Yunshu’s arms.
The fragrance was intoxicating, and the warmth of the embrace made the child burst into tears. Holding Pei Yunshu’s hand was like clutching the last straw for survival.
Hearing the child’s cry, the two kidnappers, who were frozen in place, finally recovered. They looked at Pei Yunshu with suspicion and then glared at the child who had run away from them, knowing that these people had extraordinary skills and did not dare to offend them. Without saying a word, they tried to turn and run.
Pei Yunshu ordered, “Stop.”
The two kidnappers involuntarily stopped in their tracks. One of them suddenly went weak in the legs and urinated on the spot.
The people around watching the commotion were in an uproar, pointing and gossiping, showing both disdain and a desire for excitement.
Bai Lige held the crying child in his arms, bought two buns from a nearby vendor, and gave one to each child. He looked at Pei Yunshu and said, “Yunshu, what should we do?”
“Naturally, we report it to the authorities,” Pei Yunshu replied with a puzzled look. “You’ve lived in the mortal world for many years, don’t you know that?”
As mentioned in the book, this matter needed to be dealt with by the authorities. However, before sending the children to the officials, Pei Yunshu asked the people around him who were watching the commotion, “What about the local authorities?”
After receiving answers indicating integrity and fairness from the local officials, Pei Yunshu sent the two kidnappers, along with the children, to the authorities.
The kidnapped child had stopped crying, only staring wide-eyed and deeply remembering who had saved him. Later, he bowed respectfully to Pei Yunshu and the others, revealing his extraordinary background.
Indeed, with the officials’ anger, it led to a shocking child trafficking case that rocked the entire Jiangnan region. The reason the officials dared to investigate boldly was the identity of the kidnapped child.
In fact, the child was the legitimate son of a prince on a mission to Jiangnan.
This is a member of the imperial family, with the entire royal family as a backing, so the officials were even more generous in their actions.
With the official’s anger, a shocking child trafficking case was exposed, involving the son of a royal family. The authorities, with the support of the entire imperial family, took strong measures.
However, these matters were no longer related to Pei Yunshu and the others. After delivering the people to the authorities, they went to find Hua Yue. Hua Yue, with his playful nature, had even participated in a courtesan selection while cross-dressing. Fortunately, he got bored halfway through and quietly left the brothel, returning to his original form to join Pei Yunshu and the others to watch the final selection.
The little dragon was tired early and fell asleep in Pei Yunshu’s arms. Zhuyou took him from Pei Yunshu and handed him over to Bai Lige. Then, he left with Pei Yunshu.
Holding the child in his arms, Bai Lige couldn’t help but cry and laugh. “Zhuyou is really ruthless. He gave Ah Zai to me, and now I have no time to enjoy the company of beautiful women.”
Young Master Qingfeng extended his hand, looking impatient. “Give him to me.”
Bai Lige evaded his hand. “Qingfeng is unexpectedly understanding, but it’s still a no. This little dragon is mischievous. If he kicks you, you might not be able to take it.”
Young Master Qingfeng didn’t insist, just stared at him. “I’ll watch over you. Don’t think about doing any dirty things with him.”
Bai Lige looked around and saw Hua Yue playing and flirting with a beautiful woman. He sighed, “After living for so long, in the end, I can’t beat my own fox grandchild.”
Although he said so, his eyes were exceptionally bright. Suddenly, the child in his arms moved, Bai Lige lowered his head, and he saw the little dragon sucking on his fingers, drooling.
Bai Lige’s eyes softened, he lowered his head, and kissed the top of the little dragon’s head tenderly.
A sweet fragrance filled the air, unbelievably soft.
After a moment of hesitation, Bai Lige suddenly bit the soft cheek of the little dragon.
“Tasty,” he mumbled thoughtfully, “No wonder Yunshu stole a bite of the child’s fist that day.”
A clear tooth mark appeared on the little dragon’s cheek, but the child still slept soundly, completely unaware of what had happened.
Young Master Qingfeng’s eye twitched, and he turned his face away, pretending not to see.
Was this because he couldn’t enjoy those beauties, so he bullied a child instead?
… Well, let’s pretend we didn’t see it.
