The red powder’s effects were well understood by everyone in the room.

Young Master Qingfeng frowned. He flashed forward, intending to remove Pei Yunshu from Zouyu’s sight by grasping his wrist. Zouyu, however, reached out and held Pei Yunshu’s other hand, squinting at Young Master Qingfeng with an uncertain expression. “Where are you taking him?”

Young Master Qingfeng’s gaze shifted slightly to Pei Yunshu. “You’ve been poisoned.”

After saying this, he sighed softly, “A burden.”

Pei Yunshu heard those two words loud and clear. He turned his head to look at Young Master Qingfeng, and their eyes met. Young Master Qingfeng noticed and stared back at him. Suddenly, Pei Yunshu blinked and flashed a smile at him.

Young Master Qingfeng’s eyebrows furrowed, and he released Pei Yunshu’s wrist, stepping back.

Zouyu’s expression turned ferocious, and he stared at Young Master Qingfeng. He moved forward to attack.

As they fought, Zouyu used deadly techniques, and after a few exchanges, Young Master Qingfeng’s anger flared, and he no longer held back, responding with fury.

“Zouyu, calm down,” Young Master Qingfeng warned with hidden anger, “You’ve fallen for his trick!”

But Zouyu couldn’t calm down.

His mind was filled with the image of Pei Yunshu smiling at Young Master Qingfeng just now, his lips curving towards him.

His chest was filled with fiery jealousy, and his murderous intent surged.

Their attacks grew fiercer by the moment. The tableware and porcelain shattered all over the floor. Pei Yunshu kept one hand behind his back and formed a hand seal with the other.

However, in just a moment, Young Master Qingfeng was bound by Zouyu’s Celestial Binding Rope.

Zouyu suppressed his murderous intent and warned Young Master Qingfeng with a look before turning towards Pei Yunshu.

His hair was slightly disheveled, wrapped in a bloody aura as he approached. Suddenly, Pei Yunshu reached out his hand, and Zouyu’s whip at his waist flew into his grasp.

Pei Yunshu gave the whip a swift flick, viciously striking Zouyu’s injured area. The whip left an instantly reddened welt on the demon cultivator’s face.

“Turn around,” Pei Yunshu coldly ordered.

Zouyu touched the welt on his face, and his eyes, as he gazed at Pei Yunshu, became ominously obscure.

Another whip strike followed, tearing a gash in Zouyu’s chest. Pei Yunshu repeated his command, “Turn around.”

Zouyu remained silent and looked down at Pei Yunshu from his higher position.

With the hand forming seals behind his back, Pei Yunshu’s movements became even swifter. He glanced back at Zouyu, and with a flick of his wrist, the whip cracked through the air before landing another strike.

Zouyu finally turned around, chuckling, “Two hits from Yunshu, and I’ve managed to provoke a reaction.”

Pei Yunshu’s expression darkened, and another ruthless lash struck Zouyu’s back.

Zouyu had already had a reaction down below. As the whip landed, he felt a lingering pain, but the one wielding the whip was Pei Yunshu. The thought of Pei Yunshu’s cold face as he lashed out at him, along with the inexplicable excitement, surged within him.

After he managed to endure the pain, he couldn’t help but turn to look at Pei Yunshu.

But a golden gleaming talisman had already approached him, and in an instant, it was right in front of him, pressing him down under its spell.

Pei Yunshu’s temples were sweating. The talisman he used was one he had seen in the explanation of magical artifacts while searching for the Demon-Sealing Tower. His Grandmaster had inscribed this talisman on the Demon-Sealing Tower. He relied on his memory to replicate it, but he couldn’t guarantee if it would work on Zouyu.

Fortunately, the talisman did work!

However, the talisman was meant to subdue demons, and Zouyu was a demonic cultivator. Pei Yunshu had no idea how long the talisman would hold. He held the Qingyue Sword and was about to rush out of the room. As he passed by Young Master Qingfeng, who was bound to the door, a thought occurred to him. He grabbed Young Master Qingfeng by the collar and pulled him out onto the corridor.

The corridor outside the door was indeed still pitch-black, and Pei Yunshu held his sword at Young Master Qingfeng’s neck. “Lead me out.”

Young Master Qingfeng silently guided him through the darkness. Pei Yunshu wasn’t sure if he should trust him but had no other option due to the formation. He lowered his voice and threatened, “You better not play any tricks. If I don’t get out, I’ll kill you.”

“You won’t kill me,” Young Master Qingfeng said, “You have a kind heart, but kindness only leads to misfortune. Remember for next time, don’t be so benevolent to everyone.”

Pei Yunshu pursed his lips. He moved the sword closer to Young Master Qingfeng’s neck and said, “Do you really think I won’t kill you?”

Young Master Qingfeng walked calmly, showing no fear, and did not respond to Pei Yunshu’s words.

This man was truly strange. Pei Yunshu furrowed his brow and remained vigilant, listening for any sounds from all directions and watching for any signs of movement.

Young Master Qingfeng, dressed in black, almost blended into the darkness. In the entire corridor, only the sound of his heartbeat remained steady.

With each step he took, Pei Yunshu followed, stepping where Young Master Qingfeng had just stepped. Unlike before, where the corridor seemed endless, this time they quickly reached the end.

There was a sudden noise from behind.

Pei Yunshu turned to look, and the room they had just exited was shaking violently. It seemed that Zouyu was about to break free from the talisman that suppressed demons.

“Hurry,” Pei Yunshu urged.

Young Master Qingfeng frowned. “Do you think rushing me will give me six legs?”

There were still many rooms along the corridor. The closed wooden doors made Pei Yunshu uneasy. He couldn’t wait any longer and grabbed Young Master Qingfeng, opening the nearest door and pulling him inside before closing the door behind them.

In that instant, there was a loud crash from behind.

Young Master Qingfeng said, “Aren’t you afraid that randomly opening doors might lead to a dead end?”

He sounded disapproving, clearly unhappy with Pei Yunshu’s reckless behavior and for pulling him along.

“If it’s a dead end, with you sharing the same fate, then it wouldn’t be unjust,” Pei Yunshu raised an eyebrow and couldn’t help but laugh, “Besides, we haven’t reached a dead end yet, have we?”

He could still laugh at a time like this.

His smile was even brighter than the one he had deliberately shown earlier to him. However, Young Master Qingfeng only responded with a cold snort.

Pei Yunshu: “By the way, I need to seal your mouth so that you don’t seek help from that demonic cultivator.”

Having immobilized Young Master Qingfeng in place, Pei Yunshu also sealed the Celestial Binding Rope on him within the barrier. This Celestial Binding Rope was as cunning and deceitful as its owner, and it had to be restrained.

After completing these tasks, Pei Yunshu finally had a chance to look around the room.

The room was quiet, but Pei Yunshu could hear faint noises.

Holding his breath, he followed the sounds, and to his surprise, he saw Hua Yue stumbling around on the ground with closed eyes, as if trying to break a formation.

Pei Yunshu was both shocked and delighted. He didn’t dare to touch Hua Yue without permission, so he sat down nearby and watched as Hua Yue attempted to break the formation.

If Hua Yue was here in these rooms along the corridor, it was likely that Zhuyou and Bai Lige were here as well.

Thinking about it, when he followed Young Master Qingfeng through the labyrinthine corridor, he had already entered the formation. Nanfeng Pavilion was far from being as small as it appeared from the outside.

There was movement outside the room, with footsteps soft and slow. Zouyu’s tone was drawn out and suggestive, “Where is my beauty?”

However, his tone carried a chilling and hidden hostility.

Pei Yunshu couldn’t help but look at Young Master Qingfeng.

To his surprise, Young Master Qingfeng was also looking at him. In the dimly lit room, it was difficult to see the scar on the side of his face clearly.

With a handsome face, he resembled Pan An, and without the scar, Young Master Qingfeng appeared like a completely different person from the lewd and debauched demonic cultivator of the Flower Brocade Sect.

Unfortunately, he was not a good person.

Young Master Qingfeng was in an awkward position, his hands raised as if he was about to lift or lower something, but his face remained composed. His actions were unusually comical.

Pei Yunshu tried to hold back his laughter, but he couldn’t resist any longer. His eyes narrowed, and a silent chuckle escaped his lips.

Young Master Qingfeng’s eyes flickered, and he listened to the footsteps outside the door. He thought to himself, “Beauty truly leads people astray.”

However, he remained still and didn’t make a move.
