After Pei Yunshu fell asleep, he had a dream.
In the dream, it seemed as though he had arrived in a pitch-black place. He couldn’t see the surroundings clearly, but he passed through a long corridor.
He kept walking inside the corridor, and the silence in the dream lasted for a long time. Just as he was about to wake up, he suddenly heard the sound of water droplets falling.
With a dry mouth, Pei Yunshu was awakened by the Black Dragon’s kiss, and he moved back a bit, his lips burning. “I’m thirsty.”
The Black Dragon growled softly and quickly flew out of the cave.
Pei Yunshu leaned against the wall, naked, as the dragon silk he wore earlier had been torn to shreds by the Black Dragon’s claws. After using a purification technique, he put on some clothes he found in the cave and headed towards the edge of the cave.
When he stepped into the light, he saw the silver dragon that had brought him here that day.
The silver dragon had flown outside the cave’s barrier at some point. Its white whiskers fluttered, its gaze was stern, and its voice reached Pei Yunshu’s ears like ethereal music, “If you don’t return, your physical body will perish. If you wish to survive, come with me.”
Pei Yunshu pursed his lips. “Will you really take me back, senior?”
The silver dragon didn’t answer but extended its claw into the barrier. Unlike Zhuyou’s, it didn’t shrink its true form, and its claw was incredibly huge. Pei Yunshu climbed onto its claw and then leaped onto the silver dragon’s back.
He was no match for the silver dragon’s power, so he chose to comply.
The silver dragon turned with him and flew towards the distance. Pei Yunshu turned his head to glance at the cave where he had spent countless days, and his eyes were filled with complex emotions.
After a daze that lasted for several days, he felt like this was all a dream.
The silver dragon, carrying Pei Yunshu, suddenly arrived on a plain.
It placed Pei Yunshu on the ground, and as he looked at the vast wilderness, his brows furrowed. He gazed at the silver dragon, wanting to know what this meant.
The silver dragon laid coiled to the side, resembling a small mountain. Its entire body was silver, with eyes shining like gold. In contrast to Zhuyou’s black color, it looked like the mythical dragon from legends.
“Kid,” the silver dragon said, “I have something to tell you.”
It tapped the ground with its claw, and the ground in front of Pei Yunshu suddenly shook. Pei Yunshu jumped back, and a massive and menacing tree sprouted from the ground.
The tree was incredibly large, but the fruits it bore were no larger than a flower bud and intensely red, as if they were about to drip blood.
The silver dragon said, “This Dragon Fruit can add a hundred years to your cultivation.”
This statement was so grand that Pei Yunshu found it hard to believe. He remained calm and composed. “What do you want to say, senior?”
The silver dragon looked at him, and the authority in its voice caused the ground to tremble slightly. “If you can convince that Black Dragon to mate with our people and produce a dragon egg, all the fruits from this tree will be yours.”
“These Dragon Fruits can even compensate for your insufficient aptitude and help you break through to the Nascent Divinity stage.”
Pei Yunshu’s brow twitched, and he touched the bruised marks on his neck, remnants of the Black Dragon’s grip. His sleeves slipped, revealing similar marks on his forearm.
These bruises would fade, but just by looking at them, it was clear how much the Black Dragon desired to consume him.
“What do you mean,” his voice grew lower, “convince the Black Dragon to mate with your people?”
The silver dragon sighed deeply and, without waiting for Pei Yunshu to think, grabbed him and ascended into the sky.
“I’ll give you two days to think. As long as you can persuade that Black Dragon to mate with our people, you and your friends will be able to leave my dragon realm safely.”

However, as the silver dragon flew halfway into the sky, a dark shadow suddenly rushed at it.
The silver dragon was violently slammed into the ground, and Pei Yunshu, who was in its claw, had now ended up in the Black Dragon’s grasp.
The Black Dragon’s crimson eyes were filled with rage and murderous intent. It roared furiously at the silver dragon and fiercely attacked, tearing at the flesh of the silver dragon.
The silver dragon was provoked and roared back at the Black Dragon.
Pei Yunshu, held in the Black Dragon’s grip, was overwhelmed by the smell of dragon blood. The angry roars and clashes of the two dragons in his dream made him moan, and blood oozed from the corner of his mouth due to the impact.
With this groan, the Black Dragon immediately turned its attention towards him. When it saw the blood at the corner of Pei Yunshu’s lips, it became panicked and let out a low howl.
It completely forgot the silver dragon it had been fighting with. The silver dragon charged at it, and the Black Dragon was sent flying hundreds of meters away, leaving a trail of chaos on the ground.
The Black Dragon protected Pei Yunshu and paid no attention to the silver dragon’s attack. It laid on the ground, and its eyes were fixated on the person in its claw. The Black Dragon extended its tongue, delicately licking away the blood from Pei Yunshu’s lips, and it anxiously howled.
The silver dragon charged towards them again, knocking the Black Dragon over, and they tumbled on the ground.
Surprisingly, the Black Dragon made no attempt to resist and only focused on protecting Pei Yunshu.
The silver dragon raised its voice, “Get up!”
But the Black Dragon paid it no heed.
The silver dragon’s fighting spirit cooled completely. It glared at the Black Dragon with annoyance, and its white whiskers quivered. In the end, it plucked a Dragon Fruit and tossed it in front of the Black Dragon.
The Black Dragon, acting on instinct, picked up the Dragon Fruit and sniffed it a couple of times before hurriedly bringing it to Pei Yunshu’s lips.
As soon as the fruit touched his lips, it turned into a flowing liquid and entered his body. Pei Yunshu coughed twice, and the sensation of heat in his body was like being doused in cool water, followed by a warm and soothing feeling that penetrated his organs. He closed his eyes and fell into a deep slumber.
Seeing that his breathing had stabilized, the Black Dragon carefully placed him in its claw. With its claw loosely holding him, the Black Dragon soared into the sky and headed back towards the cave.
A Black Dragon that had lost its rationality and was prone to violence and anger had a softer side. The silver dragon followed the Black Dragon with a heavy heart.

Back at the cave, the Black Dragon wrapped its tail around Pei Yunshu, placed him on its body, and let out a low growl towards the silver dragon that had followed them outside.
The silver dragon’s white whiskers floated lightly as it spoke in human language, “You, kid, I brought the person you wanted to see, and you’ve caused quite a mess. It’s time for you to mate with my people.”
The Black Dragon’s crimson eyes remained fixed on the silver dragon and then charged at it.
The impact sent the silver dragon tumbling through the air several times. Seeing that the other male dragon had been driven away, the Black Dragon wrapped Pei Yunshu protectively in its claw, and its claws pressed against Pei Yunshu’s waist. One eye was focused on the precious human, and the other kept an eye on the outside where the silver dragon was.
It would tear apart anyone who dared to approach.
The silver dragon wasn’t angered by the Black Dragon’s charge but was rather relieved. Compared to the way the other dragons had allowed themselves to be pushed around, this was a more genuine display of a dragon’s spirit.
Dragons in this world had long gone extinct, and if anyone wanted to become a dragon, they had to cultivate into one.
Within the Dragon Realm, there were no living dragons left. The dragon souls, like the silver dragon, had waited for a very long time to finally see a flood dragon enter the realm.
Though not a true dragon, they were not far from it.
The silver dragon extracted the flood dragon’s dragon soul and nurtured it until it became a pure Black Dragon. Then, it took the Black Dragon to the gathering place of its kin.
It wanted to use the dragon soul of its kin to conceive a pure-blooded dragon offspring.
However, after nurturing the flood dragon’s dragon soul, it became extremely cruel and irrational. If any of the beautiful female dragons in the clan got too close, they could easily end up dead at the hands of the Black Dragon.
No one in the clan wanted to approach the Black Dragon, but it stubbornly stayed with the human for five days.
The Black Dragon’s fangs were on full display as it was about to argue further, but then it suddenly looked at Pei Yunshu.
Pei Yunshu’s aura was steadily rising, and his breathing became increasingly heated. It seemed he was about to undergo the process of forming a Nascent soul!
This boy had decent aptitude, and with the added hundred years of cultivation, even if his aptitude was quite low, he could still make progress. The formation of a Nascent soul wasn’t that extraordinary, but what was truly remarkable was the emergence of a hint of demonic energy in his body.
Upon closer inspection, the silver dragon suddenly realized why there was demonic energy. It turned out that there was a thousand-year tree spirit’s inner core within Pei Yunshu’s body. When the Dragon Fruit and the demon core fused, it seemed to have triggered a transformation in him.
The Black Dragon, however, had no idea what had happened to Pei Yunshu. It was becoming increasingly agitated, and while holding Pei Yunshu, it let out anxious roars.
“The Dragon Soul place lacks spiritual energy,” the silver dragon turned and led the way. “He should leave this place.”
The Black Dragon glanced at the silver dragon and then swiftly followed.
The two dragons broke through the skies and quickly arrived at the Dragon Burial Site.
Bai Lige, who had Pei Yunshu protected in the middle, suddenly felt a tingling sensation on his scalp. He immediately activated a protective barrier, stood up, and looked up at the sky, but he couldn’t see anything unusual.
Yet, the cold sensation on his back was growing heavier, and he reacted with such alarm that Hua Yue and Young Master Qingfeng also became alert. “What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know,” Bai Lige furrowed his brow. “I just have a feeling that something is amiss.”
Suddenly, there was some movement behind them. The three of them turned around and saw that Pei Yunshu, who had been unconscious for five days, was enveloped in surging spiritual energy. Spiritual energy from the Dragon Burial Site surged towards him, creating spirals of energy around him.
“…Could it be that sleeping here for five days allows him to form a Nascent soul?” Young Master Qingfeng mused.
“This…” Bai Lige acknowledged with a nod. “It’s truly the Dragon Realm. We should protect Yunshu while he forms a Nascent soul, and then, each of us should take turns sleeping here for five days.”
Pei Yunshu returned to his physical body. Instinctively, he sat up, crossed his legs, and began to meditate. The spiritual energy gathered around him became so dense that it formed a mist in the air. The people around him also absorbed some spiritual energy, assisting in protecting Pei Yunshu.
The Black Dragon, unnoticed by anyone, had shrunk its form and clung to Pei Yunshu from head to toe.
The silver dragon said, “If this person has the inner core of a tree spirit, he should be able to conceive a dragon egg as well.”
The Black Dragon, upon hearing this, looked towards the silver dragon.
The silver dragon only spoke that sentence and then said to the Black Dragon, “You should return to your physical body as well.”
The Black Dragon clung tightly to Pei Yunshu and refused to budge.
The silver dragon sighed and flew away.
The surrounding spiritual energy became even more concentrated. Bai Lige circulated his spiritual power a few times and then opened his eyes.
He looked at Pei Yunshu and let out a soft “hmm.”
Pei Yunshu’s collar seemed to be slightly puffed up, as if something was probing into it from underneath. However, no matter how he looked at it, he couldn’t see anything.
Bai Lige found it strange and squinted his eyes, examining it closely. He noticed that the slight puffiness at Pei Yunshu’s collar had disappeared, but there was now something bulging on Pei Yunshu’s chest. This object moved from side to side, and the shape, hidden beneath his clothing, resembled a tail or even an arm.
It was very peculiar.
It was as if there was something that no one else could see, something audaciously taking advantage of him right under their noses, right on Pei Yunshu.
