The Whole Sect Is Acting Strange Chapter 82

Chapter 82

In the Heart Demon trial, Pei Yunshu knew that Zhuyou would eventually transform into a little snake. This little snake would experience storms and tempests before eventually transforming into a dragon.

However, these were all fantasies of the Heart Demon and couldn’t be entirely true.

Pei Yunshu was forced to have an intimate moment with Zhuyou being pressed down on the bed. Since Zhuyou woke up, inevitably, Pei Yunshu found him more clingy.

A month of life together with Pei Yunshu gave Zhuyou a brief but happy “childhood.” However, this childhood didn’t teach the flood dragon any shame or manners. Instead, it made him wish to become Pei Yunshu’s shadow.

Pei Yunshu felt like he was raising a several-hundred-year-old child.

Zhuyou buried his head in Pei Yunshu’s embrace, coquettishly saying repeatedly, “Miss you,” “Want to mate,” and even inquiring about Pei Yunshu’s feelings during their last mating.

Implicitly, there was a proud display of his achievements, and not only did he think it was good, he wanted Pei Yunshu to think so too. He wanted Pei Yunshu to praise him.

What else could Pei Yunshu say?

Clearly, Zhuyou was a flood dragon who knew nothing, so when did he secretly learn so many inappropriate things?

Pei Yunshu sternly scolded Zhuyou. Zhuyou was “intimidated” by his fierce expression and obediently followed him out.

The servants in the General’s residence were surprised when they saw Zhuyou. How did this lord grow so much in just one or two days?

Seeing their expressions, Pei Yunshu had them step back, walked to the shade of a tree, and sat down. “Zhuyou, where did you put Huayue and the others?”

Zhuyou was taken aback by the question, looking puzzled, as if he had just remembered this group of people.

Pei Yunshu sighed, “You didn’t forget them somewhere, did you?”

A whole month had passed since they parted ways, and with Zhuyou’s unreliable way of doing things, it was possible he casually threw Bai Lige and the others into some desolate place.

Zhuyou said slowly, “No.”

“Then where are they?”

After thinking for a moment, Zhuyou replied, “On the west coast of the Eastern Sea.”

With a somewhat uncertain tone, Pei Yunshu sympathized with Huayue, Bai Lige, and even the innocent Young Master Qingfeng.

He rubbed his forehead, asking weakly, “Are you sure it’s on the west coast of the Eastern Sea?”

Zhuyou thought seriously again, nodded after a while, “Because you like to eat jerky from the west coast.”

He didn’t remember where he had left Bai Lige and the others, but he remembered where Pei Yunshu’s favorite things were.

Bai Lige and the others were left where Pei Yunshu liked the jerky.

Pei Yunshu was stunned, then cleared his throat and turned his face away, “When did I say I like jerky?”

Zhuyou insisted, “You do.”

Pei Yunshu didn’t speak, but his face turned slightly red.

For a moment, neither of them spoke. Only the gentle breeze blew, lifting Pei Yunshu’s hair. Zhuyou stood up and walked to his side. Carefully extending his fingertips, he hooked Pei Yunshu’s hair behind his ear and poked his cheek.

His fingers sank into the softness of Pei Yunshu’s cheek like cotton.

After poking once, Zhuyou followed with several more, thoroughly enjoying it.

Pei Yunshu didn’t say whether it was okay or not, but he didn’t move his feet and didn’t dodge his face. He tacitly accepted Zhuyou’s little actions.

So, after poking for a while, Zhuyou let go, wrapped his arm around Pei Yunshu, and carefully pecked his face.

Pei Yunshu pursed his lips, and Zhuyou kissed the corner of his lips. Pei Yunshu silently tightened his lips, but his heartbeat accelerated.

The thumping sound seemed audible to Zhuyou.

His face flushed, feeling a bit embarrassed and blank.

After Zhuyou finished kissing him, Pei Yunshu’s whole face was red, like a wooden person.

Zhuyou held this wooden person in his arms, sat by the stone table, and lifted Pei Yunshu so his feet didn’t touch the ground. Pei Yunshu’s clear mind disappeared.

After a while, he finally spoke, “We need to find Hua Yue and the others.”

Zhuyou nodded, “Find.”

Pei Yunshu struggled to think of something else to say, “We also need to check if the Emperor’s ring has really been taken away.”

Zhuyou said, “Check.”

Pei Yunshu had nothing more to say, but silence felt uncomfortable. He thought about it and suddenly felt that he shouldn’t be like this.

He originally intended to settle accounts with Zhuyou, but now he was being held in his arms. What was going on?

With this thought, Pei Yunshu suddenly woke up.

He fiercely hit Zhuyou’s abdomen with his elbow. Zhuyou winced in pain, and Pei Yunshu took the opportunity to get out of his embrace, adjusted his clothes, and looked down at Zhuyou, who was covering his stomach.

Every movement revealed the grace of a Nascent Soul cultivator. “Zhuyou, leaving aside everything else, can you admit you were wrong when entering the dream?”

Zhuyou nodded silently.

As mentioned in the novel, if the wife is angry, the husband must soothe her.

Even if it doesn’t hurt at all and the scratching isn’t intense enough, Zhuyou is no longer the ignorant Zhuyou. He’s a mature flood dragon now. So, even if he doesn’t feel anything, he still wants to give face to his wife and make her happy.

The book said that when the lady is happy, the husband can benefit. Zhuyou was waiting for the benefits after making Pei Yunshu happy.

Being so well-behaved, admitting his mistake, Zhuyou made Pei Yunshu quite pleased. Squinting his eyes, Pei Yunshu looked down at him and asked, “So, tell me, what mistake did you make?”

Zhuyou secretly frowned. What mistake did he make?

Even if he turned small and his memories reverted to childhood, he was still quite satisfied with his possessiveness toward Pei Yunshu.

No, he didn’t make any mistakes at all.

But when it came to saying it out loud, Zhuyou couldn’t express it that way. He sincerely apologized, “I made all sorts of mistakes.”

Pei Yunshu raised an eyebrow in slight surprise. He hadn’t expected this seemingly foolish flood dragon to have such a clear understanding of right and wrong. He scrutinized Zhuyou from head to toe, nodded in satisfaction, and said, “Indeed, you at least know that you’ve made mistakes from start to finish.”

He lectured Zhuyou for about fifteen minutes, and Zhuyou listened attentively. It seemed that he was genuinely serious. Pei Yunshu, satisfied with Zhuyou’s quick realization, said, “Well, make sure not to make the same mistakes again in the future.”

Zhuyou earnestly replied, “Wife, I won’t make the same mistakes again.”

Pei Yunshu smirked, eyes filled with amusement as he looked at Zhuyou. “Alright, let’s go. Now, let’s go to the palace and check on the Emperor.”

Zhuyou nodded, and as Pei Yunshu turned to leave, he stopped and looked back at Zhuyou. He seemed somewhat uneasy. “Does it still hurt?”

Zhuyou hesitated.

He hesitated about whether to say it didn’t hurt or that it did. During this hesitation, Pei Yunshu’s expression turned unfriendly. He warned Zhuyou with a stern glare and left with a face full of anger.

People in the General’s residence watched the two immortals leave one after the other. In front of their eyes, Pei Yunshu, with Zhuyou, entered the palace.

The Emperor was surrounded by a dozen monks, reciting scriptures. His face was serene, accompanied by the melodious Buddhist chants, and smoke wafted around. Pei Yunshu glanced around and found the old abbot among the monks.

The monks’ expressions were solemn but not tense. Seeing this, Pei Yunshu knew that the Emperor was fine.

He left the hall with Zhuyou, and once outside, Pei Yunshu asked, “Zhuyou, what was that thin needle you used?”

“I traded it with scales,” Zhuyou replied. “I paid for it.”

Pei Yunshu was worried. “You used such a powerful thing, and you traded with scales. Did the other person agree?”

“My scales are powerful too,” Zhuyou said.

Pei Yunshu realized that this issue couldn’t be resolved with conversation.

He sighed with some worry, then perked up. “Let’s not talk about this. Since everything is fine now, Zhuyou, how about we go find Hua Yue and the others?”

Zhuyou naturally followed whatever Pei Yunshu suggested.

Pei Yunshu did as he said. Returning to the General’s residence, he found that the General wasn’t present; he was busy with official matters. Pei Yunshu informed the steward of his departure.

The steward was shocked. “Immortal, why not wait for the master to return before bidding farewell?”

Pei Yunshu smiled. “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen friends. I can’t wait any longer.”

He politely declined the steward’s insistence, took Zhuyou, and boarded the Qingyue Sword. The flying sword ascended into the sky, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

The guards summoned by the steward rushed over, and the steward, looking at the sky, appeared terrified. “This is bad, this is bad.”

How could mortals contend with the methods of immortals?

Even if the General killed him, they wouldn’t be able to keep these two immortals.

The steward panicked and kicked one of the guards nearby. “Quick, go find the master!”

The guard hurriedly got up and, using both hands and feet, ran outside.

In just the blink of an eye, Pei Yunshu and Zhuyou flew out of the capital.

To avoid disturbing the common people, they flew high into the sky and soon arrived at the western shore of the Eastern Sea.

Landing in a secluded spot, Pei Yunshu gazed at the vast sea. Upon closer inspection, it seemed boundless.

Many people lived on the eastern coast of the Eastern Sea, but they would spend their entire lives without seeing the other side of the sea.

Because the Eastern Sea was just a little larger than a lake for cultivators.

Pei Yunshu enjoyed the sea breeze for a while, then turned to look at Zhuyou, suddenly curious. “You’ve shed your skin again. Did your dragon horn become bigger?”

Zhuyou couldn’t detect the teasing in his words. He surveyed the surroundings and, seeing no one around, transformed into his true form. Passing through Pei Yunshu’s legs, he soared into the sky, carrying him on his back.

Not to mention that Zhuyou’s dragon horns had grown larger; they were almost non-existent.

His entire dragon body had shrunk by a full circle, and his dragon claws were the same. The intimidation factor instantly diminished significantly. If you didn’t pay attention, it looked like a flying snake.

Pei Yunshu curiously touched around, finally looking at the tiny dragon horns on Zhuyou’s head. A paternal concern arose in his heart.

So small, Bai Lige would surely mock when he sees it.

But there was nothing that could be done.

Seeing Zhuyou like this, Pei Yunshu couldn’t help but want to laugh.

***

On the west coast of the Eastern Sea, layers of thick snow had already fallen.

On this side, winter has arrived, and the New Year is just around the corner. Everywhere is adorned with large red lanterns and red spring couplets. As soon as Pei Yunshu and Zhuyou landed, a layer of snow had already accumulated.

The exhaled breath turned into a misty heat, and nearby, someone was selling steaming hot buns. Pei Yunshu bought two large buns, one for each of them. They ate while looking around.

The streets were bustling, and places where pigs were being slaughtered were surrounded by layers of people. Everyone coming and going wore cheerful smiles, and the cold wind was kept at bay by the crowd.

Pei Yunshu and Zhuyou, looking like well-off outsiders, attracted enthusiastic vendors. They kept stuffing items from their stalls into Pei Yunshu and Zhuyou’s hands. After passing through this area, the two of them ended up with a bunch of things in their hands.

As the snow fell larger and larger, more and more children came out to play.

Zhuyou protected Pei Yunshu by his side. Pei Yunshu occasionally glanced at him, unable to hold back his laughter. “Zhuyou has become a Zhuyou made of snow.”

Zhuyou replied, “Madam is also a lady made of snow.”

“Call me ‘husband,'” Pei Yunshu’s thoughts went off track, “Come on, obediently call me husband.”

Zhuyou, like a reluctantly submissive wife, looked at Pei Yunshu. After a long while, he unwillingly called out, “Husband.”

“Good boy.”

Pei Yunshu smiled with delight, tiptoed, and rewarded him with a big kiss on his forehead.

At the entrance of the alley, snowflakes fluttered down. With no one around, only the two of them emitted warmth.

Zhuyou lowered his eyes, looking at Pei Yunshu. Unconsciously, he kissed Pei Yunshu’s lips lightly.

As light as snowflakes, yet carrying emotions that snowflakes couldn’t bear.

Pei Yunshu whispered, “Once we find them, let’s go and make dumplings together, simmer some hearty bone soup, and prepare some delicious meat sauce.”

“Roast chicken,” Zhuyou said, “You rest, I’ll make roast chicken.”

Pei Yunshu agreed with a soft sound, his eyes curved with joy.

Friends, won’t you come out quickly to welcome them?
