After Transmigrating into a Book, I Became the Strongest Omega Chapter 18

Chapter 18: Please Bring Your Parents

The smart ring kept chiming consecutively. Initially, it was Hanchester, followed by Chu Xuhuan, and the last one was Li Sheng. They messaged him, asking why he hadn’t gone to the classroom and that class had started.

Classroom? Class started?

Dong Du suddenly felt as if the sky was falling. Yesterday, the teacher asked him to bring his parents. Not only did he not bring his parents today, but he also arrived late. The teacher probably thought he was the most difficult student to deal with in history.

With the matter of bringing parents, considering the events of last night, Hanchester definitely wouldn’t have time to come. Moreover, the person who could truly be considered his parent in this world was in the capital star. After hesitating for a moment, he quickly contacted the vigilant raptor, who was diligently tidying up the room.

Dong Du rushed to the school. At the school gate, he met his parents. They stormed into the scorching office with sparks and lightning. Glancing behind Dong Du, Ling Zhuo said nothing and focused on Dong Du.

“Sorry, teacher.” Dong Du stood with his hands behind his back, bowing slightly. Seeing that Ling Zhuo still didn’t speak, he plucked up the courage to push the raptor forward. “Teacher, this is my parent.”

Ling Zhuo glanced at the little robot, then at Dong Du. “Do you think I’m easy to bully?”

“No, teacher.” Dong Du hastily waved his hands, explaining why he could only bring a steward robot as a parent.

Ling Zhuo had a good first impression of Dong Du, and his attitude seemed sincere and not fake. So, Ling Zhuo sighed. “Are you letting him bully you like this?”

Who? Who’s bullying me?

Dong Du looked blankly at Ling Zhuo, who didn’t say much. He took out the student roster, turned to the last page, found Dong Du’s parent’s smart ring account registered on the roster, and dialed it.

Still not knowing that Ling Zhuo was dialing his parent’s phone, Dong Du lowered his head cautiously, afraid of angering the teacher again.

After the smart ring connected, someone answered quickly, but they didn’t speak. Ling Zhuo didn’t ask. He went straight to the point, “You are Dong Du’s parent. Although you may not have a blood relationship with him, and you may not even care about him, you sent him to school, right? At least you have some responsibility. I asked him to bring his parent to school, and he could only bring a steward robot. This is your negligence, you know?”

Dong Du couldn’t hear the other person speaking. He thought Ling Zhuo was talking to Hanchester again. He felt awkward and dared not make a sound.

The other person probably said a few things. Ling Zhuo responded with a ‘good’ and told Dong Du to wait in the office.

The first class today was also ‘The Guide to omega Pregnancy.’ Since the teacher already disliked Dong Du, and Ling Zhuo didn’t bother sending him back to the classroom, there had to be some punishment.

So, he had Dong Du stand in the corridor. Having been made to stand in the corridor twice in just two days of classes, Dong Du sadly thought to himself that he really wasn’t cut out for studying.

Dong Du’s parents quickly arrived, but Dong Du was not even aware that his parents had come. When his parents passed by him, they didn’t even give him a glance. Dong Du didn’t recognize this person; he only heard the muffled footsteps of military boots on the floor. However, he was still standing in punishment, so he didn’t lift his head.

The conversation in the office stopped after a while. Dong Du didn’t even hear the other person speak, only Lingzhuo’s voice enumerating his eight major wrongdoings, he finally realized that the person who entered earlier was his own parent.

But probably it was just a soldier called by Hanchester, and Dong Du didn’t recognize that person.

The parent came out, and Dong Du looked up, but the person took big strides, and all Dong Du could see was a broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted figure with long legs, even taller than Hanchester. Dong Du envied the physique.

Ling Zhuo called Dong Du back to the office, seemingly having calmed down. He said, “You’ve had a hard time. This parent seems difficult to deal with, right?”

Dong Du didn’t quite understand what Ling Zhuo meant, and Ling Zhuo didn’t explain. “Go back to class. The class for ‘Omega Pregnancy Guide’ has finished.”

“Thank you, teacher.” Dong Du expressed his gratitude and returned to the classroom.

Li Sheng wheeled his wheelchair over to see him. “Why did you come so late? Did the homeroom teacher scold you?”

“Parents were called.” Dong Du looked dazed.

“You’re too miserable. Who’s your parent? The general?” Li Sheng was curious, pushing his wheelchair behind Dong Du. “If the general comes to the parent-teacher meeting for you, wow, wouldn’t that be exciting?”

Dong Du imagined that scene for a moment and suddenly shivered. If General Zhu Di really came to the parent-teacher meeting for him, then in the future, when he sat in Zhu Di’s position, Zhu Di would still have the leverage to pull him down.

No, he couldn’t let Zhu Di come to the parent-teacher meeting for him.

Li Sheng followed Dong Du back to his seat, and the two didn’t say much before the next class began. The second class of the day was ‘Alpha Emotional Analysis,’ taught by a tall omega. When he entered the room, he looked around the classroom, then fixed his gaze on Dong Du.

“We have a new student in our class. Let me introduce myself again.” The teacher was tall and thin but didn’t look fragile. However, his voice was different from his figure, soft and smiling, making people feel comfortable. He said, “I’m Ling Yi. I don’t like students who are late for class, students who sleep in class, students who talk during class, students who interrupt me, and students who don’t pay attention. New student, did you hear that?”

“Yes, teacher.” Dong Du answered softly.

In reality, he didn’t understand why the school taught these things. Learning how to make desserts and arranging flowers could be considered cultivating one’s temperament, but studying ‘Omega Pregnancy Guide’ and ‘Alpha Emotional Analysis’ seemed like treating Omega as subordinate to Alpha.

He had to talk to the book cannon fodder emperor brother later and make him realize that the technology in the book had already developed to the point of space travel, but the ideological culture was still so feudal, which would hinder progress.

Ling Yi began the class, and Dong Du focused on the blackboard, but staring at it, he began to see double. He felt drowsy.

His consciousness gradually drifted away but was brought back by the sharp pain in his legs. Dong Du sneakily glanced at Li Sheng and saw him passing a note.

“Don’t fall asleep. Teacher Ling Yi is scarier than the homeroom teacher.”

From the self-introduction just now, Dong Du had already sensed the terror of this teacher. So, he felt grateful to Li Sheng and replied to the note.

“Thanks. If I feel drowsy again later, please remind me.”

Li Sheng crumpled the note and stuffed it into the desk pocket, giving him a thumbs-up gesture under the desk.

After one class, Dong Du suspected that his legs had turned blue. He didn’t care about the emotions of his alpha partner, so the only effect of this class was to make him sleepy.

Finally, when the class was over, Dong Du was about to lay his head on the desk for a nap when Qin Yu turned around. “You fell asleep even in this class. You really don’t understand the thoughts of alphas, do you? The general, why would he be interested in you? You’re clearly worthless.”

“Perhaps because I was born more noble than you?” Dong Du yawned. Originally ignoring Qin Yu, but being always provoked, so Dong Du stared at him seriously. “How about we find a place to settle this?”

“Who would make an appointment with you?” Qin Yu rolled his eyes. “I’d rather die alone than hang out with you.”

“You’re right. That’s why I’m not suggesting you hang out with me. What I mean is, let’s find a place to fight?”

Qin Yu was about to refuse immediately, but before the refusal came out, he changed his mind. “Sure, I’ll choose the location. Don’t regret it later.”

Fighting was something others regretted, so Dong Du ignored Qin Yu and laid his head on the desk to sleep.

He was lying down, but he didn’t actually fall asleep. Someone came to talk to Qin Yu in front, whispering to him, “Yu Mao, do you know that Xu Xu and Zhou Yan have fallen out?”

“Hasn’t Zhou Yan always been praising Xu Xu? Why can’t he hold on anymore?” Qin Yu’s tone showed no concern, more like mockery. “I say Xu Xu is also blind. Zhou Yan’s expression is so fake. Can’t he see that? How could that be a sincere desire to be friends.”

“Exactly, and somehow Zhou Yan managed to make everyone in their circle think it’s Xu Xu’s fault. Now, he doesn’t even have someone to give orders to.”

“Why are you telling me this? Inauspicious.” Qin Yu, who was just happy, changed his tone the next second, instructing the gossiping omega, “Go buy me a cup of coffee. Remember which one I like?”

The person hesitated for a moment and said, “I remember. I’ll go buy it for you.”

When classes ended for the day, Dong Du came out of the school gate, and Hanchester personally came to pick him up. When Hanchester saw him coming out, he looked at him apologetically. “Little Highness, how was it at school?”

Dong Du shrugged. “Torturous.”

Hanchester was silent for a moment before saying, “I’m sorry, Little Highness. I’ve been too busy lately and couldn’t find time to communicate with you. Today, I came to pick you up because there are two things I need to tell you.”

“What things?” Dong Du stared at him with shining eyes, hoping he’d say something like he didn’t need to go to this school anymore.

But Hanchester said, “One good news and one bad news. The good news is that the misunderstanding from before, which will be disclosed at the end-of-month government disclosure meeting, has been resolved. The real culprit who damaged Gneville’s gland has been found, and you are declared innocent.”

“And the bad news?” Dong Du leaned against the car seat and asked.

“The bad news is that the school called the parent today, and General Zhu himself went. After we arrive at the tower later, we must go to his office immediately.”

Dong Du fell silent. In the silence, he burst out laughing. Then, he cracked his knuckles, “Does he want to fight me?”
